The Micro Cabin In Roberts Creek - 2 Minutes from the Beach!
Cabin
Roberts Creek, British Columbia, Canada

Short-term Rental Registration Number: H355060936

As featured in Canadian Living magazine, Cottage Living magazine, and on the 604now's Bucket List for 2017, the Micro Cabin is nestled on a heritage homestead surrounded by lush garden and towering cedars. The ocean and the heart of Roberts Creek are two minutes away. We are located halfway between Gibsons and Sechelt, making it a perfect homebase to explore the Sunshine Coast from. Enjoy a solo retreat or a relaxing getaway for two while trying out tiny house living!

We built the 125-square-foot Micro Cabin after being inspired by the tiny house movement. Guests should be aware that this is a tiny cabin, which means - it is a tiny cabin! The space is small but bright and airy, with high ceilings and lots of windows and natural light. We think you'll find it to be carefully laid out and thoughtfully appointed. The full-size bed is made up with 100% cotton linens to ensure a good night's sleep. The kitchen is well stocked with all that you need to make something delicious. The bathroom is a fully tiled wet bath like that on a boat. There is plenty of outdoor space here on our private acreage to sit and daydream or finally start writing that novel. Relax at the picnic table with a mug of hot tea and watch the sunrise or gaze at the stars. If you're lucky you might see one of our resident deer and her two fawns wandering around the property. Black bears live here too!

Our small homestead is one of the oldest in Lower Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast. We live on the property in a farmhouse that was built in 1926 for the area's first schoolteacher. We look forward to sharing our slice of paradise with you.

- "Good stay. Already gave lengthy appreciation note to owner." - "A very enjoyable stay for my boyfriend and I, the loft was so cozy, would definitely recommend to another couple looking for a unique night away from everything else." - "Great location, very quiet. Loved the little cabin, bed was super comfy!" - "Awesome" - "Very cool and inspirational if you are interested in a taste of living small:)" - "We truly enjoyed our stay at the micro cabin. The cabin was as listed and felt private. Everything that we needed was provided. The binder had lots of helpful tips and recommendations. Some top tips were eating at the Gum Boot Cafe in Robert's Creek, grabbing dinner in the Gibsons marina at Smitty's, and taking advantage of all the hiking in the area. I was glad that our host recommended that we get our ferry tickets in advance as we were unfamiliar with the process and would've waited a long time. We appreciated her consistent flexibility as we had some unexpected changes to our itinerary and she was very accommodating."

- "Lovely tiny house, beautiful,in a noise free area. My spouse and I loved the place, and we will definitely come back to this place as soon as we find availability. It's just the perfect getaway spot😊" - "there is a small lake beside the tiny house where you could feed the trout. There are games and lots of books to read. A very quiet relaxing getaway. " - "This clean tiny house is set on a beautiful property, close to the main house, but you still feel somewhat secluded with your own mini dock overlooking a pond. The area itself is spectacular for kayaking and hiking. We did have trouble finding ocean view restaurants which we found strange. The stand out was Lupita's Mexican restaurant in Gibson's. There was only an electric skillet and a microwave so I wasn't able to cook some of the meals I brought food to prepare. Food aside, we still had an amazing stay."

We kindly ask that guests use the beautiful space area provided for them and not wander around the acreage so that we keep the privacy of the others on mind.

Other things to note
The cabin is located at the top of a steep and fairly bumpy dirt road. It’s best to keep in mind that to successfully drive up is to use a low gear and maintain a safe speed.

The cabin shares a deep spring water well with our home. The water is pristine for drinking but please note that it’s important to keep showers to a very minimum to preserve our supply especially in the dry summer months.

We love for guests to feel relaxed and enjoy their time. We ask that quiet time be 10pm. Noise travels pretty easily and we don’t want to disturb our lovely neighbours too much 😊

Cabin
Roberts Creek

Cosy architect designed rustic modernist retreat. A great autumn and winter get-away. Built into the bedrock and surrounded by trees, this two bedroom cabin, built in 2021, offers an elevated respite on the Sunshine Coast. Amazing kitchen for the gourmand, and plenty of deck space, a fire pit, and a sauna to unwind and enjoy. A perfect place to get busy in the kitchen, or do nothing at all. If you’re coming to party, or host a party, it’s not a good fit. Not suitable for small children.

The space
Our cabin was built in 2021, and so all the appliances are brand new. Our cabin, christened Twin Peaks by locals, fits right into the energy of Robert’s Creek.

Guest access
Guests have access to the whole property which includes two deck areas, a sauna and an outdoor fire pit.

Other things to note
Although we don’t host pets, we do have dogs, so if you have allergies please keep this in mind. Our cleaners do a deep clean regularly but if you have a strong allergy, it may not be a good fit.

The regional Summer fire ban is now in effect, so outdoor fires are no longer permitted until the Fall when they lift it .
