- "We loved this home so much that we are already booked for next year. The only thing that needs attention is the trees leading down to the dock. The 2 trees need to be cut back. But hey, that’s the only complaint! The house is well stocked with kitchen ware. Deck furniture is great. The dock is spacious and beautiful. We brought our waverunner and loved being able to hook it up to the “roll n go” rack. Can’t wait to return!" - "We loved our stay on Lake Sutherland. While the weather wasn’t always perfect, we were still able to enjoy the beautiful lake views and venture out on some nearby hikes! This cabin has everything you need, was clean, and clearly well maintained. We hope to come back again next year!"

Guest Reviews:

- "Our family of 5 stayed in this cabin. The kitchen and bathrooms was convenient and clean. The bedding was clean and comfy. We ate outside on the picnic table because there is no dining area. (Not a problem because the view was lovely and the weather was nice.) No Mosquitos. Firepit was nice to have and we used it nightly to make smores. Great place!!" - "My boyfriend and I are so happy that we found this wonderful cabin for the weekend. We went in mid November but the cabin was warm and cozy. Listening to the waves as we fell asleep was so restful! We arrived on the full moon and watched it rise with a fire on the balcony. The Joyce General Store is about 5 minutes away with lovely employees and a cute cat named Albert. Quaint, small-town feel. Views are amazing, even in overcast weather. "

- "Best place we stayed on our two-week road trip around WA and BC. The view from the cabin couldn't be better - we could see sunset in one direction, sunrise in the other, the water out ahead. The cabin is so cozy, charming, and comfortable. We never wanted to leave!" - "Everything was great." - "The cleanliness and attention to detail were perfect. Every decoration was a fit for the cabin. We will be back.." - "When my girlfriend and I first entered the Whiskey Creek property we were instantly in awe. I had done the booking myself so I had an idea of what to expect, but I still found myself shocked at the beauty of the location. And she was more than pleased to say the least. We stayed in the Jasper Inn cabin at it was perfect. Everything we needed was there, the check in/check out process wasn't a process at all, and the rustic, warm charm was refreshing to fall asleep and wake up to each and every day. Our honest only regret was not booking one more day.. Thank you so much Whiskey Creek. You will be missed!"

- "I wish we could have stayed longer. We love every minute of our time at this beautiful cabin retreat." - "We loved this cabin. It was so cozy and the decor was so fun! Lots of great small touches. The view was amazing, it was clean and well stocked. The sound of the water while sleeping was great. Both beds very comfortable. Could walk along the beach at low tide. Had a little confusion because emails with access codes were in junk folder and didn’t have much service in days leading up to our stay, so keep an eye out for an email if you book through here - would help if sent through vrbo. Overall, wish we could have stayed longer!"

Guest Reviews:

- "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was spotless and although the cabin is small, it is very thoughtfully supplied with all we needed. The yard is fabulous for pups and people. We were there in late fall, but hung out in the evenings around the fire pit. " - "The owners were super responsive to any questions and the checkout process was a breeze, no long lists of chores to get done. The cabin works best for a couple, our adult son was with us and stayed on the pullout sofa. It was a little crowded with the 3 of us but it worked. I would definitely stay again."

A-Frame Away on the Olympic Peninsula w/Hot Tub!
Cabin
Port Angeles, Washington, USA

Our small A-Frame is nestled in the mountains between beautiful Port Angeles and Sequim, Washington. Our location offers you a central stay to many of the Olympic National Park activities.

While this is near to our home on 1.5 acres, our A-Frame resides in its own little nook in the trees. We share a driveway, but you will have your own parking spot with just a short walk to the A-Frame. Outside you can enjoy your deck, hot tub, fire pit, hammock, chicken coop, or walk down the private road.

This A-Frame is 216 square feet with kitchenette, which will include a small fridge/freezer, sink, microwave, and all your basic cooking and eating utensils. There is an electric heater that will provide a cozy and warm atmosphere and a small fan. There is also a projector and screen inside that you can connect to out guest Netflix or your own streaming service.

For sleeping you will have a Queen Bed, Futon, and a single bed in the loft (assessible by ladder - please no children under 6 in loft). If you prefer to eat or play games inside we have a small table with two bar stools and a futon with two pull out side tables.

Outside you can enjoy the small HOT TUB, sit on the deck( which has a Blackstone flat top grill) or around a fire pit.

There is an external private bathroom (NOT heated, with shower (hot water on demand), toilet, sink and mirror right next to the A-Frame for your private use.

We are pet friendly, but ask for an additional $50 pet cleaning fee to be collected upon arrival.

Also want to mention that at times during the summer the water has a “sulfer” smell that comes from the well due to runoff from the mountains, we have a filter on the water and it is safe to use/drink.

Guest Reviews:

- "Loved this place so much. The hot tub was perfect after hiking at Olympic each day. The A-frame has everything you need and was immaculate. The outdoor shower/bathroom was delightful and the shower was nice and warm right away. So much thought was put into this little spot, even just the space under the bed was clutch for tucking away suitcases. The location is convenient to Port Angeles and the park entrance." - "Cabin is great, host is lovely and helpful!"

Never thought any place could beat a beautiful oceanside stay but this River’s Edge home did it for us! We could hear the water rushing down the stream, birds singing, and in the mornings a rooster crowing. We loved it. Having the fireplace on the deck and the fire pit near the water was amazing. We used both. Christian provided plenty of firewood! We had enough backyard grassy area to throw the frisbee with our dog. The home’s amenities perfect for us and Christian’s attention to all the little convenience and comfort details were so very appreciated. We definitely will stay again. "

Owl Pine Lake Sutherland Cabin
Cabin
Lake Sutherland

Nestled into the Olympic National Forest, perched on the edge of Lake Sutherland - you’ll find yourself in awe of the views of a seemingly live and ever changing painting just out the large lake facing windows of Owl Pine. Minutes walk down to private beachfront with large dock and fire pit surrounded by comfy Adirondacks, you’ll be entertained inside or out with this whimsical cabin full of games, puzzles and an unforgettable night sky! AWD + Carrying Chains required in Winter.

The space
As you enter Owl Pine, you’ll find yourself in the hallway that leads to the living room straight ahead, the kitchen just to the right and the only bathroom first thing on your left. Once you’ve emerged from the hallway, you’ll find that we’ve set up a pull out queen cabinet bed to your left. If you’d like to have a single story experience - everything you need is on the floor you entered on, for up to 2 guests. From the queen cabinet bed, you’ll be facing the screen doors that look over the lake. There are curtains and blinds to darken the room if you’d like but we recommend leaving them wide open so you can wake up for sunrise coffee. Between the cabinet bed and the doors out to the back deck, you’ll find a table with seating for four. Across the room, there is a super comfy, deep couch that can be seen through the bookshelf that we’ve loaded with games, puzzles and books.

If you’d like to utilize the lower floor, you’ll have to descend down a metal staircase. It is whimsical and a tight fit, but not to worry - it’s completely safe! Downstairs is the secondary living space with another couch, additional lounge chairs, a smart TV and a traditional bedroom. In the bedroom, you’ll find two nightstands, table lamps, a heater, portable fan, darkening curtain, 100% cotton sheets and duvet cover with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The perfect place to stowaway. We dare you not to go into hibernation.

Outside the home, you’ll discover 100 ft of private lakefront beach that is just down an impressively maintained switchback trail. In a short 3 minute walk, you’ll find yourself in Lake Sutherland. Bring down a blanket or even a sleeping bag to stargaze on the oversized dock. During the day, you’ll find yourself spoiled, with the premier spot to swim, kayak or launch your paddle board. Do note that to the East, the neighbors beach begins and they have their own private dock and bonfire area. Please do not use their area.

Other things to note
Parking: Spaces are located directly in front of the cabin and on the landing above the cabin. 4WD is required for parking in front of the cabin, as the driveway to access the cabin is STEEP, NARROW and sometimes MUDDY in the rainy season and icy in the winter. There is an access path with handrails, from the plateau parking spot down to the cabin or you can walk down the driveway. The walk from the landing to the front door takes 1-2 minutes. We recommend first arriving in daylight. Guests will be responsible for a tow if they get stuck.

Outdoor Firepit: BYO firewood to enjoy a fire, unless we are experiencing a county-wide burn ban, check the Clallam county website for details July-October.

Washer& Dryer: Located OUTSIDE the cabin in a small shed.

Dock Access: To the right of the cabin, there is a SHARED trail down to the small beach and the Owl Pine private dock. The dock is used for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. In the past these items have been provided. We now ask that you bring your own or rent some from Shadow Mountain (gas station 10 minutes from the house).

***Please be aware that this is a multi-level home accessible from the street ONLY by multiple levels of stairways. Must be able to handle stairs.

OFF SEASON RENTING (March/ April & November) : Max guest occupancy 5 guests

Even during the wet and rainy season, the Lake House is a lovely place to escape and enjoy some peace and quiet. While swimming in the Lake and sunning on the dock may not be options during these months, cozying up by the fire and enjoying quiet conversation while taking in the lake views still is! The winter months create special opportunities for couples to have a romantic winter retreat, after all, stargazing while soaking in the hot tub is a year-round indulgence! And what would feel better than a relaxing soak after a long hike in the ONP.

*****During the months of March/April and November we LIMIT CAPACITY to 5 guests due to:
1) the weather is rainier and chillier, not conducive to outdoor living
2) the inside living accommodations are more intimate and can only comfortably accommodate up to 5 guests.
3) We CLOSE the upper room with 2 twin beds. This room is NOT available during these months since this room is only accessed from the outside.
4.) Because of the wetter/chillier environment, the outdoor areas are limited as we do winterize the dock, and the paddlesports are NOT available. The hot tub, however, is still available.

Sleeping arrangements available during these months:
--Downstairs Primary bedroom with queen bed (2 guests)
--Main floor bedroom with queen bed (2 guests)
--Twin size sofa hide-a-bed in area off kitchen for 5th guest (main floor)

The third-floor bedroom (bedroom with two twin beds) is NOT accessible during these months.

***Please be aware that this is a multi-level home accessible ONLY by multiple levels of stairways.

Guest access
To access the home you must be able to navigate several flights of moderately steep stairs down to the home and lakeside dock from the street.
Parking is located just off the street, with a max of 3 parking spaces. Lake Sutherland has a Department of Fish and Wildlife boat ramp and access area with rest rooms, located on the south side of the lake 1.5 miles off of the highway for launching your own boat. Shadow Mountain General Store is right across Hwy 101 from the lake and has gas and some essentials.

*****Guest access is modified during the months of March/April and November. During these months, the upper third bedroom with two twin beds is NOT accessible. Paddlesports are also NOT provided during these months.

Other things to note
--This property has multiple flights of stairs leading from the street level down to the three levels of the home. Please understand this before booking. You must be able to navigate these stairs to stay in this home.

--Swimming and boating activities as well as use of the Hot Tub and all property courtesy amenities are done at your own risk. The dock has direct unprotected access (no railings) to the Lake. Children are never to be left unattended/unaccompanied outside on the dock or in/around the water. Paddlesport Safety Guidelines are posted on the dock. Please always read and follow all posted Safety guidelines.

--Children under 5 are NOT PERMITTED in the Hot Tub. Some lifejackets are provided; however, we do not guarantee we will have all size ranges. Your own property fitted lifejacket is always safest and we do suggest you bring your own. Please follow posted Hot Tub safety rules.

--The third-floor twin bedroom is only accessible from the outside and not suitable for children (has its own secure lock and key). The dock level bathroom is also only accessible from the outside and has its own secure lock and key.

- The house's water source is from the Lake and goes through a UV filter system. However, for drinking needs, we still do recommend you bring bottled water.

- The pump that pumps the water from the lake into the home can be noisy when it runs. The bedroom located on the dock level is closest to the pump room. Whenever a toilet, sink, appliance (dishwasher/washing machine) or shower are used and water is drawn up from the Lake, the pump will turn on and it does make noise. The noise inside the bedroom is much like a white noise machine. For those that are sensitive to noise or are extremely light sleepers, we do provide ear plugs. But again, it will only make noise when a toilet, sink, appliance, or shower are being used.

----Current Countywide Burn Bans in effect from July 1 to October 1st. Please only use the propane fire table during this time.

--Travel crib for infants is provided upon request with clean sheets/baby pad but you will need to bring your own baby blankets. The travel crib is located in the bedroom on the dock level.
