This cabin is located on 3 acres and is an additional dwelling unit near the main house occupied by the host .
The queen bed is in the loft of the 360 sq ft cabin and the futon couch is on the main floor facing the television.

There is not a microwave. Coffee maker and a blender are the amenities for your morning routine here.

Welcome to our Cozy Country Cabin! If you're looking for the tiny home experience, look no further! This cabin is great for a couple but has a loft which can accommodate additional sleeping. This gem is located on our 5 acre property with an attached deck to sip on your morning coffee or gather at night to star gaze. Ideally located just on the outskirts of Port Angeles but close enough to all of your Pacific Northwest adventures!

Guests have access to an ensuite king bedroom from a private entrance. The living room space looks out over the straight of Juan de Fuca. Plants and unique art create a chic and modern atmosphere to relax and sip coffee while listening to waves crash. The King bedroom has access to a private full bathroom with theirs and theirs sinks, shower, and hideaway toilet. The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, mini fridge and samples of coffee and tea for your enjoyment. Outside on the deck there is a hot tub, outdoor shower as well as patio furniture. Enjoy 180-degrees of breathtaking landscapes including the Strait of Juan de Fuca and sunsets over Vancouver Island. Guests can access the guest suite through a private entrance. They have access to the deck and backyard. The main house and garage are private.

Other things to note
The house is very rural and has limited wifi speed. We have had remote workers work here, however, be mindful that the internet may cut out at times. The house is also on well water and septic.

To walk to the beach, you have to walk down a steep hill on a road with no sidewalks. Please only do this if you are capable of walking back up the hill to the house. Additionally, be mindful of cars on the road. We advise you to drive down the first time so you know how to get down there.

Our Garden House Guesthouse is an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) and sits on a peaceful 1 acre in a nature setting. The detached guesthouse is fully furnished and has been completely remodeled with high end finishes and appliances. New luxury vinyl floors, quartz countertops, new sinks, fixtures, and fresh paint. The guesthouse is 500sqft and includes access to a private beach trail.

Mountain View Cottage is located in Eden Valley at the end of the county road. This country setting has a great view of Mt. Baldy and adjacent hills. Beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed from the private deck. Watch eagles soar through the valley. Our cozy cottage is close to the Olympic Discovery Trail. Daily ferry service to Victoria, B.C. from Port Angeles. Olympic Nat'l Park, ocean beaches, Hoh Rain Forest, and Lake Crescent can be easily visited. Enjoy fishing, hiking, boating, and local events

The space
The cottage is next to our home. The private entrance has close parking and a walk-up ramp. Smart TV with Amazon Prime Fire Stik. Private deck with a view off the bedroom. King size bed has a Temperpedic mattress. Keurig coffee maker, french press, or drip coffee options. The kitchen is equipped with pots and pans, dishes, utensils, toaster and microwave. Propane stove and oven. Wi-Fi is through Starlink. The private deck features a propane fire pit, table with umbrella and chairs and a chess table.

Guest access
Guests are free to roam the yards and orchard around the home. Fruit when in season may be picked from surrounding orchard. We have cows and a family dog and cat. No access to the shop and surrounding area allowed.

Our property is located in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains, under ten minutes drive from the Olympic National Park visitor Center. Hurricane Ridge, the Elwha River, Lake Crescent, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca are all nearby. Our location is a great starting point to explore the ocean beaches, Hoh Rainforest, Sequim Dungeness, and even Port Townsend.

We're situated on 2.5 acres on the northern slopes of the Olympic foothills. Surrounded by trees, with a view of the coastal foothills towards the west, it's a tranquil and peaceful spot just outside of the town of Port Angeles. If you look closely, you can see slivers of water through the trees to the Northwest -- it's most visible at dusk on a clear day.

The guesthouse shares the property with our family home. We have kids and a dog, so you'll see evidence of our family life while you're here. We do our best to maintain your privacy and peace and hope you have a peaceful visit. A tall privacy fence separates the guesthouse & private yard from the rest of our property. Quiet hours are 10pm -7am.

Please drive slowly on our gravel driveway and the gravel neighborhood roads. We recently had our driveway regraveled, and staying under 10mph will help to preserve the longevity of the road surface.

The parking area in front of the guesthouse, the main floor guesthouse space (kitchen, living, bath), upstairs bedroom, and fenced outdoor space adjacent to the guesthouse are all available for your use! There is also a garage accessible via a door by the stairs. You may use the washer/dryer in the garage.

Other things to note
Our guesthouse is on the same property as our family home. It’s a completely separate building with its own private fenced yard and parking area. The driveway is shared. We’re in a rural neighborhood just outside Port Angeles, so be prepared to encounter sights and sounds of country life— occasional noise from neighborhood farm animals, frogs croaking at night, and kids enjoying the outdoors.

Perfect location for your adventures! 1 mile from ONP Visitor Center & the base of Hurricane Ridge, 25 min to Lake Crescent, 10 min to downtown. Our 2 1/2 acres offers comfort & privacy - greet the morning & end the day on the deck, enjoy the view, the wildlife, the stars, the quiet. Take our previous guests' advice and book a longer stay so you can explore and then relax indoors or on the deck. The cottage is just right for 2 adults but can fit 2 more (children/adults) - the loft sleeps 2.

The space
"The cottage" is a Park Model, interior space is 399 square feet (not including the loft). The main room is cozy with the ambience of an electric "wood stove" heater, a comfy love seat (NOT a full size sofa) and another chair. The Samsung LED Smart TV allows you to watch your own streaming accounts. The bookcase is stocked with guide books on Olympic National Park, maps and pamphlets on Port Angeles, the Park, and other local interests. The cottage manual includes restaurant recommendations and information on the TV, heater, bbq, etc.

The fully equipped kitchen has a full size oven (propane), microwave, and full size refrigerator (no ice maker). There is NOT a dishwasher (other than yourselves!) We stock our kitchen the way we would wish everyone would when you rent a place -- coffee, tea, a french press, electric drip coffee maker, sugar, half and half. We also provide ample dishes/pots/pans/utensils/pyrex containers/plastic bags/aluminum foil/basic spices/olive and condiments, which make it easy for you to prepare your meals without having to buy out the grocery store! If we don't have it, ask us and we will bring it over.

There is a small table (with a bench and 2 chairs) by a bank of windows - a lovely place to eat while watching songbirds, quail, hummingbirds, hawks, and deer in the field, and also view the backdrop of the pasture and the Olympic mountains. At nighttime, listen to the barn owls as they make their rounds, hunting for dinner for their owlets. You may also hear an occasional coyote.

The bedroom has a full size (double) bed (NOT a queen) in a beautiful custom built bed with pull-out drawers, offering a space for items you want close by. Generous closet space provides ample space for your clothes and suitcases. The bedroom has 2 large windows with private views to the mountain and the field . A ceiling fan offers a soft breeze on (the occasional) hot summer nights. A wall fireplace heater provides both heat and ambience on cooler nights. The sleeping loft functions as a 2nd bedroom (no door, so it is not private) with 2 twin mattress on the floor (no boxsprings) - the mattresses can be kept separate or pushed together. The loft ceiling is LOW, so it is a sleeping space, not a space to hang out - an adult CANNOT STAND in the loft. The steps to the loft are narrow and steep and are not conducive to someone with mobility problems.

The bathroom has a full size shower (no bath tub). There is a hair dryer under the sink. Liquid hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner are provided in bulk size bottles -- no travel sizes -- as a way to help decrease environmental waste. We're on a septic system - not a sewer - so please do not put anything in the toilet except toilet paper. Band-aids and basic first aid supplies, extra toothpaste and toothbrushes, sunscreen, etc., are also available in case you forgot yours.

The cottage is heated mainly by electric heaters in the main room and a fireplace wall heater in the bedroom. There is a portable heat pump by the stairs that can also be utilized if it is very hot - while it is unusual for it to be hot enough to need air conditioning, the loft can get hot (seems to be happening more lately) and the portable heat pump is also an air conditioner which helps cool the loft. When the days are hot, temperatures almost always cool down quickly at night and the ample number of screened windows provide cross ventilation. We also have window fans and both the main room and the bedroom have ceiling fans. Our guests from the midwest and the south laugh at me when I talk about the heat :) There are emergency night lights and flashlights in every room. There is a battery powered lantern in the sun porch that you can take outside to the deck as extra lighting.

There is no washer or dryer, but if you're in a pinch and I'm home, feel free to ask if ours is available. Olympic Laundry on Lincoln Street provides drop off/pick up service and there are several laundromats in town.

The enclosed sun porch and the deck add another 400 square feet of living space. The sun porch offers a place to store your outdoor items but is also a space to read or just sit and look outside -- it's especially nice when it's raining. There is a generous sized deck which provides a private space with a picnic table, deck chairs and a chaise - we also have several umbrellas to beat the heat and/or the rain. There is a small propane bbq grill for outdoor cooking. The picnic table and sitting area is completely private - the area with the bbq grill (and the entrance to the cottage) is adjacent to the parking pad and the side yard entrance to our house so there is not complete privacy (although this area is not an area where my family hangs out). The lawn area in front of the cottage and to the side is a wonderful place for active children to play - we have a swing set and other toys for little ones.

There are four steps to the deck and front entrance. The deck has a photo-eye light (on dusk to dawn) by the door and there are string lights extending from the door to the picnic table.

We hope you like dogs as we have an active Australian Shepherd - Blaze, who is 7 years old. He is a happy and friendly dog who considers it part of his job to wiggle his bottom (no tail) and bark hello (he is usually in a fenced area of the yard away from the cottage but sometimes he might be in the smaller fenced area which abuts the cottage - so he could possibly greet you as you park your car and enter the cottage). Blaze is a lovely boy but we may not be a good fit if dogs and occasionally barking will bother you.

You will park your car on the parking pad situated between the cottage and our house. Let me know if you'll have more than one car and we'll be sure to leave both spots open for you!

If you are staying more than a few days, you may need to take your rubbish and recycle out - just leave it on the deck and we will take it down. Unfortunately, Clallam county does not recycle glass so glass goes in the trash.

A WORD ABOUT CLEANING -- it's always important to have a clean space, but Covid has really made cleaning a challenge. Because of the time to clean the cottage, the extra supplies, and also because we value our cleaner we pay her a very fair wage, so we've had to increase our cleaning fee to $80

You have access to your own deck and yard, you're also welcome to explore the grounds, walk the paths and use the child's swing set in the field below the cottage.

Other things to note
There are Igloo coolers in the sunporch for your use. Beach towels to take to Lake Crescent or the beach are in the bottom drawer in the bedroom - if you need more, let me know and I'll bring some over. We have a cornhole game you can set up on the lawn and enjoy - just let me know and I'll bring it over.

Brand new Hot Tub, and your very own PRIVATE bon fire, WOOD PROVIDED! All the comforts of home, and IMMACULATELY cleaned between each guest. Large yard, Bonfire pit, pool table, WiFi, and FRESH EGGS from our own hens is a guarantee:) The Discovery Trail with all its hidden gems is literally a stones throw away, and the rest of the Olympic National Park including Hurricane Ridge is SUPER close as well, and well worth it.

The space
Location location location. And BRAND NEW HOT TUB! You'll have your own full yard with picnic table, fire pit, games, etc. Even though the rental is "SLIGHTLY" attached, you will feel like the place is your very own......I understand privacy, and how people like their own as well. Yet at the same time, I wont be more than a phone call away in case you need something. As far as the Northern Olympic Peninsula, this place can't be more centrally located. And, we're only minutes from hwy 101. The Olympic Discovery Trail, one of the most easy to hike/scenic trail heads, is just at the end of our road. And the property...well, it's a fun house! If you're here for the scenery, you can't beat the price, cleanliness, and all the little extras you just don't get at a hotel or similar rentals:)

Guest access
Everything in the back yard is yours to use, including the bonfire pit and picnic table. A small storage outbuilding is available if you have bikes. The entire guest house is secured, (slightly attached...shares a wall), but private from the main house. The main house is lived in by a single person, and very quiet. Plenty of parking area as well:)

Other things to note
You might be compelled to rent bikes, to explore the Olympic Discovery Trail.

R-Corner at Freshwater Bay offers guests the freedom to sit within the serene forested areas on the property. There is seating within the forest where you can sip your favorite drink, have a picnic, or just enjoy the singing of birds along with the faint rustle of the towering trees overhead.

You probably come to Port Angeles to venture into Olympic National Park, hop on the Coho Ferry to Victoria, or bike the Discovery Trail. After your adventure, come back and relax at Hello Sunshine Guesthouse. The kitchen and living room have big south facing windows towards the yard. The yard has the soothing sound of water falling into a Koi pond.

The short walk from the property to downtown Port Angeles has lovely views of the Straits and Hurricane Ridge.

The space
The guesthouse is a 565 sqft house behind the main house. It has 10 foot ceilings, a spacious, fully equipped kitchen, and a newly renovated bathroom.

Guest access
There is a patio for your use in the shared yard between the guesthouse and the main house. The cushions for the patio furniture are stored in the bin on the deck of the main house.

The most convenient access is through the alley, where there is guest parking available behind the guesthouse, as shown by the last picture of this listing.

If you enter from 5th Street, use the gate to the right of the main house. This is not recommended after dark as it’s not well lit.

Other things to note
The bed is made up European-style without a top sheet. The duvet cover is washed between guests. If you still want a top sheet, there is one provided in the top right dresser drawer.

In the back of the carriage house - you can sit and hear and see beautiful McDonald Creek. The Creek Basin is accessible and a nice place for guests to unwind. The space
The Inside Space:
Our downstair's living space offers two informal conversational seating areas with cozy furnishings. One with a TV, a "real flame" electric fireplace, a couch with chaise (turns into a sofa bed for extra sleeping arrangements), and a lovely selection of books and videos. There is also a writing desk in the corner for those who need to check an email or two. Free Wi-Fi is provided.

The other seating area in the entrance of the cabin is a smaller gathering area with a loveseat, 2 accent chairs and propane stove. The dining table sits between the two living areas and is a perfect gathering spot for dinner or for playing a game of cards.

Kitchen:
In the kitchen, you will find all you need for whipping up meals, including a stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and plenty of dishes/pots and pans. Coffee maker with filters and starter coffee provided.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms:
There is one bedroom on the main floor that has a queen bed, and both bathrooms are also on the main floor. The back bath has a walk-in shower and washer/dryer, while the hall bath is split between a shower room with walk in shower and 1/2 bath (sink and toilet).

Upstairs:
The upstairs is accessed by a steep and narrow set of stairs.

-- The third bedroom has 3 full-size beds, bean bag chairs and TV, great hangout for the older kids

Heating:
The cabin does not have central heating or a central thermostat. The cabin has an electric "real flame" fireplace in the living room, a gas stove in the front room and independent electric wall heaters in the hallway, downstairs bedroom and a unit at the top of the stairs between the two bedrooms.

Outdoor Spaces:
Outside, everyone can have fun exploring the community shared private trails to the creek, seating areas, and play set (located in the lawn in front of the main house). These outdoor areas are shared with guests who may be occupying the two other vacation rentals on the property (the main house and the attached apartment). Enjoy the short hike down to the creek from the backyard trailhead. The backyard also has an outdoor fire pit for gathering (when burn bans are not in effect). The front patio has an outdoor living area with a propane fire table for year-round enjoyment.

This property has three vacation rental units on it. The driveway leading to all three units is circular, with two designated parking spots in front of the cottage. The cottage is indicated by a green plaque with the name "Indian Creek" to the right of the front door. All outdoor spaces including the circle drive, the yards, the private trails to the creek, the play structure, gazebo, and seating areas are shared spaces with other guests.

While children are welcome, we do require that an adult accompanies all children under the age of 12 when anywhere outside on the property, specifically when around the naturally occurring hazards of the creek, private trails, outdoor fire pits and play structure. Children under 12 are not to be left unaccompanied outside.

Please let us know if you require the travel crib and high chair. We provide clean sheets and baby pad for the crib but not blankets.

Outdoor burning may be subject to County wide burn bans. Check to see if a burn ban is in effect during the dates of your stay before starting a fire. Wood bundles can be purchased at the Lower Elwha Food and Fuel.
We do have an outdoor propane fire table on the front porch for use when there is a burn ban in place.

Meadow Wood Cottage is nestled in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains.
