Only wish we weren't so busy and could have stayed longer to enjoy what smelled like some amazing food. The two four legged floofs were an added bonus with the tail wags and requests for pets. The Lakeside Bedroom Suite faces the water with a hot tub outside the door by the upper large deck. Amenities include two kayaks, a fire pit under a gazebo on the lower deck, lounge chairs, a dock for fishing or swimming, and a large floater on the water in warmer months. The suite consists of a bedroom, living room and bathroom. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, a Keurig coffee machine, two soft robes and an electronic massage cushion. The living room has two cushy chairs, a couch, basic cable TV and a DVD player, a music player with CDs, small and large tables for WiFi and dining, and a wide selection of books. The full guest bathroom is private with toiletries and a hair dryer. A continental breakfast of warm croissants and jams, orange juice, fruit, yogurt, granola, milk and hard-boiled eggs is served indoors or out. Located in the heart of Woodinville Wine Country, many restaurants, shops, parks, and breweries abound with over 100 wineries. We have tasting passes for some favorites. Seattle and the airport are easily accessible, as are further excursions into the country to Snoqualmie Falls or Tree House Point. There are hiking and biking trails nearby. Eagles from a nearby nest often soar above the lake while various waterfowl, deer, otter and other wildlife frequent this peaceful neighborhood on a dead end street. The lake is stocked and fish are seen commonly leaping in the air. Gas motors are prohibited on the lake, ensuring quiet. We are five miles to Ste Michelle winery, with its popular summer concerts. Cozy in the cooler months and active in the warmer ones our suite on the lake makes a perfect venue for a romantic getaway, a peaceful retreat, or simply an enjoyable experience.

SuperHost's recently completed, quiet guest house at my Castle estate in nature/woods at English Hill. In horse and wine country- but near everything. New Appliances! Gorgeous finish work! 1 King and 2 Queen beds, sofa bed. Gourmet kitchen with spice rack, Gas Oven, Airfryers. Coffee, tea, and decaf drinks station. The living space is on the 2nd floor, 14 steps up. Shared driveway and property with my home and attached apartment. Awesome Air-conditioning and heating system when used properly.

- "We used this property to have a family Thanksgiving together. It worked out perfectly! Charles met us and gave us a thorough walk through of the property. Charles was great with communication via the VRBO app and always very helpful! The property has a nice, large, open space that is the main living/kitchen/dining area. The master bedroom was great with a very comfy king bed. The other bedrooms are little unique and unconventional, but safe and comfortable. This facility is above a large multi-car garage, so you do have to use a staircase for access. But it does have a private access and it is separate from other units - so, you can make a reasonable amount of noise and you shouldn't bother anyone. The neighborhood area is upscale, safe and quiet. There was laundry at the top of the access stairs that was new and worked great! It was very convenient! There were ample cleaning supplies, toiletries, linens and cookware avilable. Overall, this was a great property for us and provided a conveniently located place near our middle daughter's apartment to have the rest of the family join us for Thanksgiving weekend. Getting Around:
We are centrally located and close to public transit. The Capitol Hill light rail station & transit center is just a block and a half away. The street car is just 2 blocks. You can easily explore Capitol Hill from our location. Walking distance to Cal Anderson Park, Volunteer Park, the Asian Art Museum, restaurants, cafes, bars & shopping. You can walk, bus, ride share, scooter, bike or take the light rail to downtown, Pike Place, Seattle Art Museum, International District, or the waterfront. The Bridge is a beautiful, modern, unique two-story space in West Seattle just minutes from great restaurants, shopping, bakeries, bike rental, fitness centers, pubs, and the water taxi to downtown Seattle.

The space
The Bridge was designed by Architect Sean Bell who has specialized in creating custom, sustainable homes in the Seattle area since 1997. In fact, The Bridge Airbnb space was the office of Mr. & Mrs. Bell between 2007 and 2010. It is an extremely ‘lofty’ space, but very warm and comfortable.
The kitchenette has a sink, microwave convection oven, small refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, some basic cooking supplies, some basic spices; there is no cooktop or range.

Guest access
The access is very simple. The front door is accessed from a bridge located on Admiral Way.

Although the street parking is located on 30th Ave., the main house located on 30th Ave is not related to The Bridge (please do not use the front door located on 30th Ave) Once parked on 30th Ave. it is necessary to walk up a public stairway that connects 30th Ave. to Admiral Way. Once inside The Bridge, the space is very self explanatory, the only space that cannot be accessed, unless for emegency egress, is the covered breezeway off the lower level.

Here are the entry instructions for The Bridge:

The code to the front door will be the 4 last # of your phone number, xxxx.

When you leave: please do not lock the door handle, lock only the dead bolt with the code; to lock the dead bolt with the code simply press the ‘Kwikset’ image.

Note: if ordering a food delivery please let the establishment know the door to The Bridge is on Admiral Way.

Other things to note
Take advantage of the bike sharing bicycles (typically found next to the Westside Bicycle store directly across Harbor Ave SW), also the Seattle water taxi, Luna Park Cafe, the West Seattle Health Club, tour of the Nucor steel mill (very interesting!) and Metropolitan Market just a twenty minute walk up the street.

Note: in this urban environment, when the leaves have fallen, the sounds of Admiral Way are more apparent. If the slight ‘hum’ of the traffic is an issue please take advantage of the ‘white-noise’ machine located next to the bed on the lower level.

Also, although The Bridge has concrete floors with radiant floor heat, we provide two electric space heaters located at the landing between floors; please, absolutely only one space heater can be used on each floor (one upstairs, and one downstairs); if both are used on a single floor the electric circuit will be tripped.

The space
Basic toiletries and towels are provided. Kitchen is equipped with Keurig coffee maker and a water filter jug. We have a few coffee pods, tea, sugar, salt, pepper and cooking oil to get you started. Utensils and cutlery are available if you want to cook or reheat leftovers from the many restaurant choices around. Windows have thermal blackout curtains.

Guest access
The casita has its own private entrance to the home. The outdoor balcony, outside the front door of the casita overlooking the gorgeous view is yours to enjoy during your stay. It’s a great place to take in the view with your morning coffee on a clear warm day. Or enjoy a glass of wine as the sun sets.

The space
We've created a peaceful cottage studio experience that we can't wait to share with you!

The cottage studio is 325 sq ft in a 1-story building with a bed, kitchenette and bar top seating, and bathroom with shower. There is no separate living room. The space is attached to the garage on one side. We do not park a vehicle in the garage and will limit accessing it when possible, but you may occasionally hear noise from the garage/garage door.

You have access to your own patio area with seating available outside when weather permits.

*Amenities*
Coffee-maker, French press, instant hot water faucet, complimentary tea and coffee, microwave, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, and A/C. Please note there is no oven or stovetop; a single hot plate is available. Limited cooking supplies available: includes pots/pans; no oils/condiments.

*Sleeping accommodations*
The comfortable queen bed with Casper mattress will have you wanting to stay in bed.

*Parking*
Ample free street parking. Please note that the driveway is for the homeowners parking only.

*Hold harmless agreement*
By booking a reservation you agree to hold the host harmless for any bodily injury or property damage that result from your time spent on the property. This applies to all guests in your reservation.

Guest access
Guests have access to the cottage (1-story building) which is detached from the main house. A secure key pad is used for entry. Cottage includes a separate outdoor patio area.

Other things to note
To access the cottage, you'll walk down a driveway that runs along the main house.

The cottage is not suitable for young children/babies.

No visitors are permitted on the property other than registered guests. Maximum occupancy is 2.

This rental is situated in a quiet neighborhood; parties and smoking are strictly prohibited.

On occasion we might be in the back patio garden space for maintenance and watering. We are often in the front garden or on our separate patio.

The Truss Studio is a peaceful waterfront retreat on Lake Sammamish. Located at the dead end of a private easement lane, above a detached garage and connects to the main home with an outdoor skybridge.

Truly a unique property with a curved roof truss design and large windows for natural lighting and views. Very private.

Resident bald eagles often perch on the neighbor’s tree, and the lake is ever-present with 85’ of private waterfront, and dock, accessible to guests (shared with host).

The space
Main Studio Space

The open floor plan is approximately 30’x 30’ and arranged to accommodate all your everyday living needs (I lived in this studio with my elementary-age twins, for a year, while remodeling the main home). High-speed internet and large 75” TV, visible throughout the space, for access to your favorite apps and streaming. A dining table for 4, and additional living room space offer ample seating for the group. A small desk and ergonomic chair offer dedicated workspace with views of the lake. Curate your music soundtrack and enjoy the Bluetooth speaker. A wardrobe closet and suitcase stand provide plenty of storage for your things, to keep the living space open and accessible. Two sets of double glass doors lead to a private guest balcony with café table and chairs (main house sits between the Truss Studio and the lake, but water views still available from the studio and the guest balcony). Incredible sunrises.

Kitchen

To facilitate dine-in alternatives, the kitchen includes full size appliances with all the necessary cooking pots/pans, utensils, and cutlery to enjoy a home cooked meal. Refrigerator/freezer, microwave, 4 burner electric range with oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and fire extinguisher. A Safeway grocery store is 2.5 miles away, and food delivery options are also available. The kitchen is stocked with coffee/tea, some basic spices, and misc. condiments.

Sleeping

The Truss Studio comfortably sleeps 4 with two queen beds (bunkbed style). New mattresses/pillows and high thread count sheets ensure a cozy night’s sleep. An air mattress is also available if needed.

Bathroom

The ¾ shower bathroom includes basic toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner), towels, hair dryer, iron & board. There’s also a separate wall heater in the bathroom for dual heat control.

Lakefront Amenities

Enjoy all that Lake Sammamish has to offer with waterfront access along the 85’ private beach and dock. Swimming, fishing, SUP (1 provided by host), canoe (included) or just sitting on the dock to enjoy the wildlife and views in the Adirondak chairs. The property also includes a 6-person cedar barrel sauna with a direct view to the lake! Summer is great for swimming in the lake and winter is great for sauna heat with a polar plunge in the cold water! The neighborhood is accessible by a private easement road (aprox 1 mile) for a nice scenic walk with rolling hills for exercise along the lakefront without any busy traffic.

Located at the dead end of a private neighborhood easement, the guesthouse is situated above a detached garage and connects to the main home with an outdoor skybridge.

Access from the gated driveway up a flight of exterior stairs to the Truss Studio keyless entry.

Our guesthouse is the lower unit of our duplex. It features a master bedroom with a king bed and two standard rooms with queen beds. The standard rooms have a door between them that can remain open or shut. All rooms have closets. We are on a hill so you will need to go down 8 stairs to access the unit.

SOUND (WE LIVE UPSTAIRS): The unit is below us and we can be heard moving around upstairs. Our floor has a few creaky spots, but we will do our best to limit any noise.

OUTDOOR STAIRS: The entrance to the apartment is at the bottom of a set of stairs. We do our best to ensure the path is well lit by motion sensing flood lights at night.

NO PARTIES – ONLY REGISTERED GUESTS + SECURITY: Unregistered guests are not allowed to visit or stay in the apartment. There are 24/7 security cameras on the exterior of the property.

NO PETS: The apartment isn’t suitable for pets, even well behaved ones. We’ve invested a lot into renovating the space & would like to keep it in great condition for all guests to experience the same quality stay. Your reservation can be cancelled if pets are detected on the property.

NO SMOKING: This is a smoke-free home. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises.

CARS: We have a sloping driveway & live on a hill. During December & January, there may be ice. Please take it slow. Free on street parking is also available.

The huge cedars whisper you to sleep. You are over a protected heron reserve where the stream below runs 24/7. We can't guarantee sun in Seattle but eating outside on this private deck is still quite wonderful much of the year. This is a private house separated down a long path and down 5 shallow steps, light, modernized and very cozy. Two guests, one queen sized bed.

The space
It is a 550 sq ft two room cedar shingled cottage with metal roof, two skylights, plus large bathroom/laundry. It’s been well modernized with small dishwasher and 4 burner stove. Oven bakes unevenly but is ok. Very large open shower with heated floor. Wall heaters in both rooms. Norwegian wood stove is in main room but will need care. I will provide starter cubes and paper. Only designated fireplace wood must be used. Safeway, etc sells small bundles.

The cottage and deck are for your use. So is the front street parking space along fence.

There is a studio between my house and rental.
The neighbors are all very quiet as it is a close neighborhood.

About Cecil Bacon Manor

Located in one of Seattle’s few historic preservation sites, the Harvard-Belmont Landmark District, the Cecil Bacon Manor is nestled elegantly in the neighborhood, while remaining conveniently close to Seattle’s many attractions. Opening as The Broadway Guest House in 1985, and operating as the Bacon Mansion until very recently, this historic bed and breakfast is a stately residence for all who enter.

We boast minutes to downtown; the space needle, Pike Place Market, the water front, Amazon and the Gates foundation.
