Sweet, sylvan & small, this cottage is 200’sq, with adjacent private bath house adds another 75’ sq all tucked away in a private wooded setting!
Beach access is about a 15 minute walk away. The Purple Cottage is a little like "glamping". With an adjacent *Outdoor Kitchen* for your use (although you can also cook small meals in the cottage), hot tub, woods, beach a short walk away...It's a little bit of bliss & heaven all on a shy acre!

We have created a new, expanded deck and have set up a NEW hot tub area. We look forward to accommodating you !

The *Purple Cottage* -- was found & salvaged (recycled!)-- moved onto the back of my property. This 16 X 12' place has been my studio in the past, but has offered overflow for friends & family. Nestled in the woods and ever-so-private, the cottage has a pull-out double futon, plus a small sleeping loft and can accommodate 1 -2 nicely (we will consider 3 if you have a small child, but it would be a tight fit!... There is a very small sleeping loft in the cottage.).

A French Press, double electric stovetop, microwave, & small fridge make up a "kitchenette" area. Cooking meals remains a little limited in the small area ...no five star gourmet meal preps here, I'm afraid! But cooking basic, simple meals for 2+ is doable. There is a small gas barbecue out in the deck area, along with the private hot tub, which is a great feature. There is a private community beach access about a 15 minute walk away. We have a water cooler in the cottage that holds 2 gallons of water at a time --water is readily available on the property and in the adjacent bath house (including, of course, HOT Water!). Utensils, plates, some coffee/tea for your first few days (if you are staying weekly or longer, you will need to replenish), sheets & towels are provided. A sweet deck & side yard has a gas BBQ, sitting/dining area, fire bowl/pit & Hot Tub, for your outdoor grilling, eating & soaking pleasures. An outdoor *Kitchen* is located in back of the cottage --all covered, but still rustic ...with cold running water, a stainless steel prep sink and 2 burner Colman camp stove. You are welcome to use it to expand your cooking / dishwashing possibilities.

The cottage offers privacy in a wooded setting. There are pathways & "contemplative points" throughout the property, in a natural garden setting. Depending on the season, there are fresh herbs growing on the property for incorporating into your culinary creations. The bathhouse offers hot showers, vanity & toilet & is steps away (and covered) from the main cabin! We are so proud & happy to have this project finished: A real labor of love...And about 75% of materials used in this project were repurposed / salvaged / recycled items.

The Purple Cottage sits on a shy wooded acre, with greenbelt buffers all around, maximizing the sense of privacy. We have a vintage Shasta Trailer across the driveway of the Purple Cottage, which is currently used as a music studio (and rarely as family/guest overflow), and I have my own small Artist Studio located also on the back of the property. Still, with all the little enclave of buildings, the Purple Cottage Studio retains a private feel all to itself. It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point.

We are located 6 miles from the picturesque town of Langley and equal distance from Freeland, on the south end of Whidbey. Our area is very *bike-able* and either direction will get you to town!

The Purple Cottage offers a rustic retreat in a place that feels far away, but is an hour & a half from the bustling city of Seattle! There is reliable wifi available at the cottage.

** We really hope that folks wanting to book at our Purple Cottage read through all the details of this property, because we really want happy campers & chill guests! Just remember that this is not a "prissy" place --this is a little cabin on the edge of the woods...with adjacent bathroom & outdoor kitchen area. It's fun & a little funky...Real, working artists live on the property, which is always a "work in progress" and offers a bit of eclectic & unusual architecture, decoration, & landscaping . If you want a high-end accommodation, this is NOT the place for you.... BUT, If you love nature and glamping, you’ll no doubt enjoy this property’s “vibe”!

Hot tub use on the deck off the Purple Cottage, Beach access is a short walk away. There is an outdoor picnic area with a fire bowl/pit.

There is a covered *outdoor* sink / kitchen area with cold water only out in back of my little Expresso Stand Studio (the Studio itself is a private space, please). If you would prefer to wash your dishes there (way more roomy than the bath house sink), you are welcome to. We suggest bringing hot water from the bath house, washing your dishes and rinsing them in the sink with the cold water. The rinse water (gray water) flows off to the side into the forest. The stainless steel sink has plenty of room for a dish drying rack. This way, you can keep the bath house free for — well, bathroom needs!

We also have bins set up for recycling: one for cans / aluminum, one for glass. There is also a compost bin for your compost (fruit, veggie peelings, coffee grinds, egg shells, shellfish —but please NO MEAT SCRAPS OR BONES!)
There is a Colman 2 burner propane cook stove in the outdoor kitchen set up for *deluxe* cooking!

There is a two night minimum, with a THREE night minimum starting through Labor Day Weekend & all holiday weekends!

ABSOLUTELY NO PETS.

This fully equipped very tiny house on wheels sits on a high bank waterfront lot overlooking Holmes Harbor. The white ship lap and exposed wood ceilings gives this tiny a beach house feel. Sit out on your tiny deck with a view or relax inside and enjoy sunset views thru the trees. We have seals in the 5 mile long harbor, and a very occasional visit from a whale. Eagles nest on the property. There is a public beach and boat launch just 2 miles down the road at Freeland Park.

The space
This tiny house on beautiful Whidbey Island is 18' long and 8' 4" wide. There are 3 steps up to the front door and stairs to the sleeping loft. The loft ceiling is pitched with 4' of headroom at the tallest end. Enjoy views of Holmes Harbor from your comfy queen bed.

On the main floor there is a full size sofa sectional. The kitchen has a full size fridge/freezer, 2 burner induction cook-top, combination convection oven/microwave, large sink and a dishwasher. We provide a Keurig with pods, basic cooking tools, a few spices and oil. There is also an all in one washer/dryer. The bath has a flush toilet, small sink and a 36" shower. Big fluffy towels are provided.
You can find beach access and a boat launch 2 miles down the road at Freeland park.
The neighborhood is an old fishing camp subdivision, humble, safe and quiet. There is an old 5th wheel on the property I use for storage.
I live in the tiny cabin but I am quiet and very respectful of your privacy. Pet fee is $50 per pet, per visit.

Goss Lake vacation retreat! - Very nice 2 bedrooms and 1 bath cabin. This is a cabin with rustic charm - it is well appointed, cozy and has everything you need but is not a modern house.

The property also includes a small boathouse for play gear. The private dock allows for water sports and relaxation! Two houses are located on this property - your cabin is closest to the lake.

The lake is non-motorized (electric or paddle power only). It is stocked with rainbow and coastal cutthroat trout.

The space
Beautiful Whidbey Island awaits you with this welcoming dog-friendly vacation home. You are right on Goss Lake, a very peaceful location that's still only a short drive from Clinton, Langley or Freeland. The house is very private - on the lake but set in the forest - ideal for enjoying all that Whidbey has to offer or just relaxing on the water.

The couch in the living room is a queen sofa-bed so the cabin can accommodate 6 guests but it is very cozy with 6 adults. It is better suited to 4 guests or 4 adults + children. We have had lots of rentals with 6 guests with no issues whatsoever but just wanted to mention this.

What's nearby:
It is only a 5 min walk away from the Putney Woods trail system - great for mountain biking, trail running, or hiking. Or it is just a short drive to the ocean with many beaches to explore.

The charming town of Langley is packed with shopping, dining, museums, and art galleries to explore. It also features its own beaches to experience thanks to Seawall Park.

There are not any stores near Goss lake - Freeland is the closest area for shopping and picking up essentials. It is only 4 miles and a 10 min drive away - the Payless grocery store has everything and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

*** Also, there is a soft tub at the cabin - we don't mention it in the listing description but yes I know there are pictures of it. The reason we don't mention it is that it is a fickle creature and prone to error. It does work almost all of the time and is super relaxing with an amazing view of the lake but every now and then it does not and it is hard to get someone in to service it these days. If your entire vacation is based on "having" a hot tub and it is a "must" item please book another property with a proper hot tub. We don't want to disappoint anyone in any way - thanks for your time and understanding!

A bright and spacious one bedroom cottage apartment in the country. Enjoy views of the Saratoga Passage; lush vegetation; and a glimpse of the Cascades, on clear days. Wake with the sunrise, or draw the curtains if you prefer to sleep in, on your plush king bed. The cottage was recently renovated to reflect a fresh modern country vibe. There is a large new bathroom with a spacious shower, and a dressing area with a wardrobe to hang your clothes. There is a microwave,, an electric kettle, plates and utensils. There is also a gas bbq grill outside your door.

The long gravel driveway takes you directly to your designated parking spot to the right of the garage; a short gravel staircase leads you to the cottage. The entire front of the property, including orchard, pond, and vegetable garden are shared spaces, and we highly encourage you to explore and enjoy them, as much as we do. We are often outside on the property, making improvements. We love to interact with guests, but respect their privacy- there are lots of little hidden nooks to enjoy some solitude.

A newly remodeled cottage on 90’ of bluff waterfront with an expansive view of Holmes Harbor where porpoise, Orca whales, eagles and resident deer are frequent visitors.

Sip a glass of wine or your morning coffee in the Adirondack chairs or grab a picnic lunch and head to our private community beach, a 10 minute walk away. We are 10 minutes from Freeland for groceries and 15 minutes from the charming seaside town of Langley with shops, gourmet restaurants, wine tasting, live music and theater.

The space
The cottage is situated next door to the main residence. It is a separate structure from the main house and has its’ own porch and private entrance. Your privacy and enjoyment of the cottage will always be respected.

The main level is equipped with new kitchen appliances, gas range, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. It is fully furnished, and guests will enjoy high speed wi-fi and Roku TV in the cozy, view - living room. The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, baking dishes, blender, plates, coffee mugs, chefs knives, utensils and plenty of glassware. Complimentary Starbucks Verona blend coffee, tea and spices are provided to get you started.

Upstairs you'll find a romantically situated queen bed with French doors opening to the breath-taking view of the harbor. You will also have access to a spacious walk-in closet and a washer and dryer for your convenience.

The Cottage is a unique standalone building on .6 acres and 90 feet of bluff waterfront. We live in the main house which is also on the property. Guests have access to the large rolling lawn, leading to the bluff above beautiful Holmes Harbor. You will be able to enjoy the use of our Private community beach, which includes a grassy picnic area and a fire pitt.

A new king size bed and custom head board in the Catalina Cottage is accentuated by a casual Island motif reminiscent of Catalina Island. This Cottage offers a breathtaking water view from either the bed, wraparound porch or indoor dining and seating areas. The Orchard House Apple Suite is located 1.5 miles from Langley, on 7 private acres. The Apple Suite offers new, clean, modern accommodations with high ceilings. Heating/air conditioning guarantee your personal comfort. Escape to our farm just outside of Langley on beautiful Whidbey Island. Our family has lived here since the late 1800's, and we just completed a wonderful new guest cottage sitting on the high bank with 180-degree views of Saratoga Passage, Mount Baker, and the North Cascades. With 900 square feet of open living area, a fireplace, full kitchen, washer/dryer, king size bed, high speed internet, 2 TV's, beautiful furnishings and easy access to the beach it's the perfect get-away!

Overlooking the Puget Sound, our family-run winery, bed & breakfast, and farm, on the south end of beautiful Whidbey Island, is a perfect place to slow down, relax, and enjoy a glass of local wine - stay just one night or a few days. Carl and Rita Comfort bought the 22-acre farm in 2006 and in 2009 converted an existing building into their winery and tasting room. In 2016, they finished their new tasting room, winery, and bed & breakfast.

The space
Our rooms are located on the top floor above the winery and tasting room. Each has a view of the Puget Sound or the rolling pasture and vineyards. King size beds, private bathrooms, comfy robes, Wi-Fi included with every room. No TV, no alarm clock just a relaxing getaway awaits you here at Comforts of Whidbey.

All rooms are adult only, with a strict no pet policy.

Normal check in times between 3 - 6 pm. Check in between 3 - 5 pm and receive a complimentary flight of wine with a cheese plate.

The tasting room is accessible during normal operating hours. These hours are seasonal so please check with us if you have questions about our winery hours.

You have access to large deck during your stay with us. A perfect place to just sit and enjoy the beauty and quiet of Whidbey Island while enjoying a glass of wine or cup of coffee.
