This charming bed-sit ( a spacious bedroom plus cozy sitting room and bathroom) is situated on its own floor in my home, and offers charm, privacy and easy walking distance to all that Chemainus has to offer; restaurants, shopping, groceries and a beach - all within 3 blocks. Ideal for a weekend or mid-week getaway for singles or couples. The sitting room is equipped with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and kettle. Continental breakfast, with a variety options, will be provided daily!

The space
You will enter through the main house entrance and go upstairs to your own bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. Once you have been checked in, in person, you may come and go as you please with your own lock box access to the main entrance.

You have your own bedroom, queen sized bed, sitting room with amenities and full bathroom with shower all to yourself.

During your stay
I am available on site, by phone or via the AirBnb app. My wheaten terrier Jack may greet you coming or going at the main entrance ( he does not have access to your private upstairs space). He is friendly and non-shedding. If this is a problem for you let me know so we can accommodate your concerns.
I have a fairly ‘hands off’ approach to guests, but am happily available to connect as desired.

The space
Relax listening to the sounds of the creek and pond while sitting in your own gazebo, one of the many sitting areas at this 1/2 acre tranquil setting.
Watch for frogs and goldfish in the pond, otters and crawfish in the creek, the blue heron of course, bunnies, birds and deer.
Plush housecoats and slippers are provided for walking from your cabin to your private kitchen and bathroom, just a short ten steps down a beautifully lit path. Six minute walk to beach, restaurants, and parks. Grocery store and coffee shop one block away.

Guest access
Please feel free to walk the grounds and enjoy the yard as if it were your own :) We want you to enjoy The Blue Heron as much as we do. Cross over the bridge to play badminton, croquet, and yardzee on the large flat lawn area or enjoy a game of cards or colour in the blue heron adult colouring book in your cozy cabin or out in your gazebo. Spend evenings sitting around the fire pit, gazing up at the stars.
