We are proud to provide a Level 2 charger for your Electric Vehicle. You will get to enjoy the entire upper floor in a two story home which boasts a beautifully decorated and comfortable atmosphere. There are 12 steps up to the living space which is well lit and has hand railing. We do not have an elevator so guests must be able to do stairs. The home is located in a safe and quiet neighbourhood within 5 mins to the Vancouver Island Ferry Terminal and the airport. It is also smack dab in the middle of town so it makes all the amenities close by. Your space has a full kitchen with everything you will need to prepare meals and entertain. It has 2 bedrooms, an office with a Murphy Bed, dining area, living room with a natural gas fireplace and a Gallery seating area which features original artwork from a wonderful local artist which one can purchase if they find the perfect piece. Comfort is the main theme in this home which is perfect for a family or couple's get away. It is rare that you won’t witness the most incredible sunsets you'll ever find! Sit out on the large covered sundeck with a BBQ, separate dining and lounge areas. This space has all you would need to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. The backyard has a gas fire pit and seating area as well. The yard is dedicated to your privacy and comfort.

Relax and enjoy your stay in this ground level, newly renovated one bedroom suite located in a 100+ year old home in Historic Townsite. This suite is located on a quiet street and within easy walking distance to Powell Lake, to a lovely ocean beach, our local brewery and a boutique mall with cafe, bakery, grocery store and other cool shops. The space has wonderful amenities including a spa-worthy bathroom, a well equipped kitchen and two patio spaces.
The space
When you arrive, please park out front. Access the property through the front gate and follow the boardwalk to the right side of the house. Access is the ground level door, one step down, via keypad access. Code provided once booking is confirmed.
Guest access
The suite is fully self-contained. There is access to the washer/dryer on request. Suite is adjacent to my commercial kitchen space, which will be occasionally in use during daytime hours. You will have access to a small patio just outside the entrance and also a larger sun-deck that is located at the back of the house.

This remote property is fronting a quiet ocean inlet. Located 3 km back in the forest, it is an oasis of tranquility. Enjoy tidal flats filled with oysters, bird life, and clear water. The cottage is located at the edge of a garden clearing. Great kayak launch with access to Desolation Sound. 3 km access road, which is a bit bumpy in some places. Bring your groceries, a flashlight, and solid shoes. The fridge is 3/4 size. We have the best drinking water ever here! No smokers, please.
The space
The cottage has a glass-fronted wood stove, hot water, shower, full kitchen, and solar-generated electricity. Linens and towels are provided.
Sleeps 4.
A propane range, hot water, and 3/4 sized fridge is included, as well as firewood for the wood heater.
We now have a system in place to bring wifi all the way to the cabin when needed.
Cell phone signal is available, but it is weak.
There is no TV.
Dog owners, please note: Bring only friendly dogs, they can be off-leash. We have two friendly Leonbergers and one mixed breed, there are dogs owned by neighbors. Close to our main house, please leash your dogs if they are not used to cats.
Guest access
Guests have access via a 3 km gravel road through the forest. Go slow, and bring your groceries, flashlight, and solid shoes. You may enjoy the cottage and the entire property. You can use our canoe to venture out into Desolation Sound. Guests are welcome anywhere on the property, can visit my workshop, pick veggies in the garden, and access the shore.
Other things to note
How to find us: Drive north of Powell River on 101 Highway. After about 20 minutes, watch for a fire-station sign on the right, brown and red mailboxes on the left of a turn-off called "Craig Rd". The highway here swings to the left and Craig Rd swings to the right. Turn off here on to Craig Rd, and shortly, you will turn right onto "Plummer Creek Rd". Follow this for 2.5 km. Pretty soon, it turns from pavement into gravel, gets quite bumpy, please go slow. It starts to go downhill and into the woods. You'll go by an old sand pit with gates on the sides, and on down into thicker mature forest. Ignore all signs of 'closed road'. At the bottom, it levels out and swings left. In a few hundred yards there will be a fork, stay left and go up a rise. Then after a couple of turns, it opens up into a garden where you'll see "Koppen - 9120" Park to the right by the sign in the pull over.
Also, once here: Since we make our own power, we need to be mindful of electricity consumption, and turn off lights and devices when not in use.
Folks with babies, please pack out your diapers.

The space
A beautiful studio suite. Enjoy the sunrise or watch winter storms from the sunset deck down below on the beach. The property is shared with 3 other suites, and designed in such a way that offers privacy for our guests.
The suite does not have a beach view (just a sliver of an ocean view), but is about 150 yards from the beach and minutes away from some of the best outdoor activities in the world.... hiking, mountain biking, fishing and more!
Enjoy the BBQ area for preparing delicious meals, take in breathtaking views from the sunset deck by the beach, and unwind by one of the two cozy fire pits.
Guests have full access to all amenities, including the oceanfront hot tub, available by appointment. For an enhanced wellness experience, our luxurious glass-panel sauna is available as an exclusive add-on for an additional fee. You can also refresh with the outdoor shower and invigorating cold bucket splash, or take a rejuvenating plunge into the ocean.

Other things to note
Although Powell River is on the mainland, it will require a couple of ferry rides (Horseshoe Bay to Langdale and Earl's Cove to Saltery Bay) to get to it because it is not directly linked with the rest of the provincial road network.
