- "This is not a villa. It’s a basement suite. We expected it to be associated with the Four Seasons hotel chain; it is not. It’s a basement of a private home in a residential neighbourhood. The view is real. The beds are comfortable. The lights in the kitchen also turn on the lights in the master bedroom, so when one of our party got up at 1am, they woke me up by turning the lights on in my bedroom. He was kept awake by a low battery alarm on his doorknob constantly making an alert sound. The other member of our party found the toilet would not flush. This was a business trip, my first with these partners, so I was very embarrassed. The advertising is misleading. "

Our home is located in a quiet, upscale neighborhood of the Westview area.
It is within walking distance or a short 2-minute drive to the beach, sea walk, hiking trails, shopping district, and restaurants. It is also close to the ferry terminal and airport.

Our newly renovated 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom suite (1 king, 1 queen bed, and bunk bed ) sleeps up to 8 guests. There is a pull-out sofa in the kid's bedroom. Enjoy a large bright kitchen with all large, new appliances and an open concept living room with easy access to the patio overlooking the stunning ocean views. House is beautifully furnished with comfort in mind and is provided with everything that is needed including towels and linens. There is a lot of storage space.

From the private patio, you can enjoy a peaceful ocean view and the most beautiful sunsets on the West Coast.

- "This property was absolutely perfect for our extended family group. The property was extremely clean and tidy. There was enough seating in the living room and dining room and beds for all of us. The pull out bed in the third bedroom was made up with a mattress topper and was comfortable for our teen. It was nice to have it ready for us when we arrived. The view was spectacular from the dining room and the deck. The washer and dryer worked well and there was even a drying rack on the deck. So handy. We would stay here again in a heartbeat."

In 1930, depression times, when Marine Ave was a dirt road, Mme Loukes built this house and her 5th Ave Dress Shop next door, modeled after the 5th Ave Dress Shop in New York.

The original lathe and plaster walls, cove ceilings, gymnasium quality maple floors and original baseboards are in still in prime condition. The fireplace is intact from the 1930’s, as well as the original blue bathtub and sink. The original wrought iron fence and gate are still a part of the front entrance garden.

This property is a *Historic* property, not a modern luxury. The lighting is 1930s style. The pipes are 1930s style. We have added some modern luxuries like a coffee maker, a microwave, a dvd player, etc to help make your stay more comfortable.
