Waterfront at it's finest. Our rental property is located between Parksville and Qualicum Beach, 3 minutes from French Creek Marina. We are close to shopping, restaurants and Morningstar Golf course. The suite is fully equipped, self contained and is perfectly situated on our residential property to take advantage of the spectacular views of the Strait of Georgia. The property is 50' above sea level with stairs leading to a private beach where you can go for a refreshing swim, walk the beach or simply relax with a good book.
The suite has a fabulous view from every window.

You can see Ballenas Island from the kitchen, watch the Lasqueti Island Ferry from the living room or observe the eagles perching in a tree outside the bedroom window. There is a 40'' LCD TV with DVD, and front load washer & dryer for your convenience.

We have a direct view of Rathtrevor Beach from this 7plex in Tanglewood Pl, Parksville.

Tanglewood is a community of privately owned units adjacent to Rathtrevor Provincial Park and we are 1 minute or 2 of walking distance to the beach access to the famous Rathtrevor Beach. The best part is that you will have this great view right from your home away from home! Sit back, chill and enjoy the view!

The view: We are positive that you will fall in love with our home. And not only that…you will wake up to this gorgeous view right from the Master bedroom on our king sized bed. The master bedroom also has direct access to the deck for you to enjoy the serenity and the breathtaking view of the beach with the beautiful Arbutus tree from a distance on your left overlooking the beach. Sip your coffee in the morning to this soothing view.

The space: We have repainted the entire place to soothing Benjamin Moore colors. This is a 2 br 2 bath apartment of about 1100 sq ft. for your enjoyment.

The deck: BBQ grill with 2 lounge chairs as you soak in the view from a quiet distance awaits you.

Gourmet kitchen: It has been updated to white quartz countertop on the perimeter and quartz backsplash for a refreshing white kitchen look! In contrast, the kitchen's island is in beautiful black granite giving the entire kitchen a modern yet coastal feel. Stainless Steel appliances and with everything you could possibly need from coffee maker, toaster, waffle maker, blender,. Fridge, gas range, microwave and dishwasher for your convenience.
Dishes, serving bowls, pots and pans, cutleries, wine glasses and basic kitchen stuff are provided.

Furniture: Beautifully decorated to make your time away from home as comfortable and as relaxing as possible.

Linens and beds: You will surely have a refreshing sleep with our. King sized for the Master bedroom and queen for the 2nd room with varying degrees of softness for your pillows The Italian made sofa bed also has a memory foam mattress for your enjoyment if needed. Extra pillows, comforter and blankets are available. Soft linens and towels are also provided for your use during your stay.

If you don't like the morning light to wake you up (some people love it and some don't), please bring sleeping eye masks with you. We have blinds in the entire place even for the very top ones.

Bathrooms: The ensuite is a 5 piece bathroom with a soaker tub and a glass door shower on the other side. The 2nd bathroom has glass door shower. Heated floors for your comfort for both bathrooms. White soft and fluffy bath towels as well as big beach towels are also provided. Dryer, hand soap, tissue and toilet paper are available for you.

For families with toddlers: We have Graco play pen

Business: For those of you needing a work desk, we have one in the 2nd bedroom.

Laundry: Front load Samsung washer and dryer are available for your use. Iron and ironing board as well if needed.

Road to your Oasis: It takes a ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay, West Van to Departure Bay in Nanaimo to get here. The BC ferry ride usually takes a short hour and 40 minutes. Then about 25 minute drive from Departure Bay to Tanglewood.

If you are coming from Vancouver downtown, the drive to Horseshoe Bay could take about 30-40 minutes. Give yourself ample time for the ferry. I strongly suggest for you to book reservations so you don't have to line up for the ferry. All you need is to make sure to be there at the latest 30 minutes prior to sailing time. If you're flying in from Comox airport, you can rent a car from there and be in Parksville withkn 45 minutes.

The beach: Rathtrevor is about 2 km of beach walk and you'll see Rathtrevor Provincial Park on your left. Low tide happens quite often so your walk could be as long as you feel like it.

What else : ) Toys and game boards are available as well as 2 smart TVs! Wifi available. Well we're hoping that you will be spending more time bonding with each other than being glued to those electronic gadgets that some of us can't live without. : ) Guilty one here too!

Parking: 1 parking right across from the building beside guest parking. Parking is labeled #24.

Beach access: As the road starts to slope down from where the 2 storey building is, you will be walking past a few townhouses and the access would be on your far right. It usually takes a minute or two. No public access to this.

You can always reach me via text messages, email or through the Ring doorbell/cam that we have.

Other things to note:

We charge an extra $25/person/night after 4 registered guests including kids from 1 yr old and up to a maximum of 6 guests only including kids 1 and up.

We request that you load the dishes, pots and pans and please make sure the dishwasher is running before you leave. This will really help the cleaners to stay on time for our next guests.

Our cottage can be your home away from home with top end appliances, quartz countertops and full amenities. There are 2 bedrooms and a loft with a pullout couch. You can comfortably sleep 6 people. The master suite has a luxurious king size bed. The great room has lots of space to relax and has a mounted flat screen smart TV. Our guests have thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the large back deck, enjoying a moment of peace on the comfy garden swing, The loft is a versatile space to relax, sleep and also hosts is a second big screen TV. Our cottage is also fully equipped with all the amenities such as built in air-conditioning, laundry, and glassed in shower. The cottage backs onto the Grotto for the Tigh Na Mara Resort.

Our cottage is approximately an 8 minute walk from Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park entrance. The park has endless beaches that are great for young children with long stretches of sand and numerous trails to hike on. There is a large children’s play area at Rathtrevor Beach and they often run activities during the summer season. For the adults in the group we have two spas within walking distance. Tranquil Day Spa is a part of the Oceanside Village Resort and next door to our resort is the Grotto Spa at Tigh Na Mara. We have included links below for your convenience of booking any spa treatments while you are staying.

There are many sites near this cottage that make this area the most desirable place in the center island to stay. The complex has a great bistro restaurant as well as a hair salon, and spa. Amenities include an indoor heated pool and hot tub right at the resort for your own use. There are also gym facilities in the same building as the pool and hot tub.

We are a pet friendly cottage since we have dogs in our lives as well. We simply ask that you take care of tiding up after you pet and do have supplies here for that purpose.

We rented this home because of it’s close proximity to Tigh-Na-Mara as we were attending a wedding at the resort. It was about a 5 minute walk to the main resort and 10ish minutes to the beach. The home was clean, well maintained, decorated nicely and just what our small family needed. It had everything we needed to be able to cook our meals, down to blankets to snuggle up with on the couch. We would gladly rent this home again on our next trip!"
