Guests have full access to the back of the property during their stay, which features a serene and mostly private outdoor space with 2 patios, garden and small lawn. The hot tub is shared with the hosts; however, sessions are thoughtfully scheduled to ensure complete privacy during your use. We greatly respect your space and primarily tend to the garden while you’re away, though on occasion, brief access may be required for light maintenance. You may also notice us gardening or enjoying time in the front yard, or hear activity on the deck above during the warmer months.

We live upstairs with our 9-year-old daughter and our lovable 14-year-old black Lab, Guinness. You might hear footsteps, quiet conversation, or even catch a friendly hello from us or Guinness in the yard! We enjoy a peaceful, quiet lifestyle and spend weekdays at work and school, but if you’re seeking total silence, this might not be the perfect fit. We’re always happy to welcome guests who appreciate a warm, homey atmosphere.

While we warmly welcome families with children, please note that the suite is not fully "child-proofed". We do not have child locks on cupboards, furniture secured to walls, or outlet covers throughout the space—though we do provide some plug covers for your convenience.

There were chocolates and granola bars provided as well! We did not have the pleasure of meeting James and Nicole, but every time I sent a message with a question they were quick to respond and always asked me to let them know if we needed anything at all. They also sent a message to check in with us after we arrived to ensure all was well. We actually hadn’t intended to stay in Langford and had planned to stay closer to Victoria Harbour, however we found that Langford is a beautiful newer community and this location was well worth the short drive. We highly recommend this property. One thing to note though, there are several stairs up to the rental. This is not a concern for us at all but it may be for others considering this property. This is a two bedroom suite on the top floor of a two story house with private entrance. It's set in a lovely treed (third of an acre lot) with beautiful tall Douglas fir trees surrounding our quiet, clean and comfortable home.
We are in the west shore, just 20 minutes out of Victoria, convenient to stores, restaurants, big box stores and every convenience one would need.
We are a five minute walk to two lovely lakes, bus stops to town or up Island and the Galloping Goose trail for walking or bike riding to town and many places in the area.
There is an awesome bowling alley minutes away and bike rentals.
There is the best YM/YWCA five minutes from here with a beautiful weight room with the latest equipment and three pools, as well as hot tub, sauna & steam room.
The house is fully furnished with a large sun room and a second living room. A lovely kitchen with new appliances and everything one might need for cooking and storing food.
We have wireless internet and TV along with an Apple computer.
