My 'Girly Industrial' house theme is expressed in the pink accents, hand painted black peonies on the grey concrete floors to the truss joist with car-decking for the ceiling creating a loft like space.

I put in 'old lady' steps to easily get into the water off the dock so more are able to enjoy the lake on a hot day.

My house is designed for accessibility no curb for the shower 36 inch wide doors and it is all on one level. I brought my friend who is in a wheel chair for a weekend and she was happy to be so independent. For further details please call.

This large apartment is the lower level of the main house. It is completely separate with its own entrance and a slider that opens to the patio area. We are happy to share access to the rest of our beautiful property. Its a great place to hang out and have fun with many areas available for yard games or hanging out by a fire.

The rental is beautifully remodeled and very spacious yet cozy. Both bedrooms have queen beds, plus a third sleeping area with an IKEA couch that makes into a queen bed. The open concept kitchenette/living area is great for families and small groups. The kitchenette does not include a range/oven, but we have included appliances to make it easy to cook simple meals. These include an induction burner, a counter top convection oven/roaster, griddle, crock-pot, microwave and small toaster oven. The kitchen includes a full sink, an apartment size refrigerator, and plenty of counter space. Plus there is access to the grill. We proudly provide locally roasted coffee and locally blended teas.

Loni and I live in the upper level of the house and have our own entrances and upper deck. Most of the time we will be available for help, questions or even a chat. We understand if you like your privacy and will do our best to respect that, but if you would like to pick a locals brain we are always happy to share a beverage together.

Our neighborhood is conveniently situated to be close to many options. We are 4.5 miles to downtown Bellingham, 1 mile to Lake Whatcom and Toad Lake, and close to Mt Baker Hwy for access to mountain activities. Plus there are parks and trails nearby for walks, hikes and mountain biking. We are very lucky to have 5 acres so close in town. Its our little oasis in the middle of the neighborhood.

Eagle watching: the road from the house to the casino follows the Red River, you can often spot bald eagles in the trees next to the road. Sometimes the eagles harass the ducks that are on the golf course in front of the house. Makes for a front row seat to see bald eagles in their natural habitat.

NOISE:
The studio is located on the bottom level of a Tri-Level beach home (Note: the studio is not located in a basement setting). The noise is noticeably reduced with noise dampers, but please keep in mind the host and pet lives above the rental. Sleep packs are provided in the studio for any light sleepers.

COMFORT:
The studio offers central heat and air and is shared within the home, so guests will need to contact the host to request any temperature adjustments. Portable heaters and fans are provided for extra comfort as well as blackout curtains to help reflect sunlight and keep the studio temperatures cooler during warmer months.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. Our brand-new guesthouse sits on an 8-acre property. It's a private, detached building so you'll have plenty of privacy. There is ample room for parking, including plug ins for RV's and a level 2 charging station for EV's. We are located just 20 minutes from Bellingham and an hour from Vancouver, B.C. There are beautiful views of Mount Baker right out your window. This is an open concept, one bedroom, one bathroom, almost 700sq ft apartment. It has a full kitchen with brand new appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. The host provides basic cooking supplies to get you started, including olive oil and an array of herbs and spices. An assortment of tea and coffee are also provided. There's a dining room table that seats 4. The bedroom has a queen size bed and a walk-in closet. The living room has a sectional sofa that converts to a double bed with a memory foam mattress topper. The trailer has a kitchen, dinette, and a bathroom with a small shower/tub. The space has heat, a fridge, a built-in radio, lots of windows, a pull-out couch, a double bed, and all the amenities you might need.

NOTE!! - Trailer living is different from house living. The space is small, showers are short (3-5 minutes), no A/C, there is at times some smell from the toilet. It is not ideal for more than 2 people and may be challenging for taller/larger folks to feel comfortable in.

Stretch out and relax in this calm, comfortable space. What you see is what you get. It is a simple, clean bedroom with a king sized bed and private full bathroom on the first floor of the home. Think hotel room, but better price and homier. On a clear day you can see Mt.Baker from your bedroom and views of the Canadian mountains from the property.
The location is 1.6 miles from Whatcom Community College and less than 5 miles from the waterfront and downtown Bellingham.

1900 house that I am in the process of renovating. Walking distance to everything in downtown Ferndale. The train crosses an overpass across the street, but it’s not loud inside the house. Three cats in residence. There is only one bathroom, but I have an on-demand water heater. I need the bathroom between 7:00am and 7:35am to get ready for work on week days.

The space
Small, cozy bedroom with a springy queen sized bed. Blackout blinds for day sleepers. There is a desk for you to use and a clothes rack for clothes. There is a window unit A/C for the summer and a heater for cold weather. The room is in a converted attic and has an odd sized / low height door. Also, the floor slopes a little due to the house settling in the back.

Your room, kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining room, deck and yard.

During your stay
I’m available if you want to chat. If you want to be alone just close your door.

This is a fragrance free zone, as I have fragrance allergies. No air “freshener,” scented laundry detergent or dryer sheets, body spray, etc.
I am semi allergic to hot peppers so unfortunately you cannot cook with them here.

Do not let the cats out / keep the doors to the outside closed at all times. Clean up after yourself. I am not kidding about this. If you get hair or toothpaste on the bathroom sink, clean it up. If you get shampoo on the wall, clean it up. If you spill food on the stove, clean it up. If you track in dirt or water on your shoes, clean it up.
*Because of prior guest problems:
Do not bring kerosene or any other accellerant or chemicals into my house, in a container or otherwise.
Do not take the stoppers out of the sink or water down the soap.
Do not use bathroom hand towels or kitchen dish towels for cleaning - there are paper towels and rags available for cleaning

This listing is for a Bedroom in my home in the Columbia neighborhood, which is less than a mile from downtown Bellingham. Next to beautiful Elizabeth park with many trees and community concerts on Thursday evenings in the summer. From various windows one can see Sehome Hill, Mt Baker, St James church and the Bay.

A sunny daylight basement in central Bellingham featuring a bedroom with a queen-sized bed and also a colorful sitting room with a twin-sized daybed, a table suitable for working, mini fridge and coffee/tea station -- all accessed through a private entrance through a quiet backyard. This is an Airbnb in the traditional sense. Reasonably priced, comfortable but in a working house. A place to land with space, warm, good wifi.

The space
You get the full daylight basement (note that there are twelve stairs down to your rooms) -- a bedroom with a queen-sized bed and overstuffed chair, and also a sitting room with a twin-sized daybed, a small table for working, and a station set up with coffee, tea, kettle, and snacks. The space is cozy enough for a single person or couple, but the extra room with daybed makes it suitable friends or family travelling together. The furnishings are colorful and the walls feature professional photography, including a large canvas photo of Mt. Baker to gaze at while relaxing in the bedroom. You have plenty of space and privacy, and wifi of course!

There is a bathroom upstairs and this is shared with the family. Upstairs is also where you'll find the shared kitchen with full utensils, microwave, herbs, spices etc which you are more than welcome to use.

You have a private entrance from the backyard, but please feel free to use the shared front door entrance as well. In fact, while you are welcome to park out back in the alleyway and use your own entrance through the backyard, we generally recommend parking in front and using the shared front entrance, as it can be dark and sometimes slick on the back deck (especially at night and in winter). So come and go through the front or back as you like.

There is a kitchen available to guests of more than one night but please note that this is not a congregating space. The house is small and open plan so it just isn't practical for people to hang out in the kitchen. Feel free to use the fridge and whip up a quick meal but be aware that the upstairs is really the host's domain.

We are a friendly room-mate team. Oh, and two cats! We are upstairs working during the day and generally around in the evening should you need anything.

We are a non smoking household but smoking outside is fine.

Need a ride to the airport? We can probably get you there in time and in style! $15 extra. Just ask in advance to be sure!

Guest access
You have the full downstairs to yourself. The shared bathroom, upstairs is fully available to you.

I have a grumpy cat who stays upstairs. Our space is not suitable for pets or young children, both of which have been known to upset our cats.

This is a lovely and clean home but please be aware that it IS a vibrant, wabi-sabi, working family home with imperfections. For example, the backyard is more meadow than manicured for the sake of the birds and other ecological reasons. Our home is not brand new, and it has a few flaws, but I strive to keep it clean and comfortable.

I am also a photographer who specialises in family and portrait work and, if you would like to talk about a shoot while you're here, I am knowledgable about the area and could help you capture some lovely shots at local beauty spots. Just ask about this service!
