A Cabin On The Sky is a fully furnished, adults only, no pets, riverfront home located directly on the bank of the North Fork of the Skykomish River in the town of Index, WA. I accept a MAXIMUM OF TWO GUESTS. Please review my policies and house rules to be sure my property is a match for your needs.
The cabin is located in a residential area on a dead end street on the upstream end of town. The nearest homes are separated by the width of the streets ensuring your privacy. There are no other homes upstream on the river side of the street, ensuring unobstructed views of the river, forest, and viewing the peaks of the Wild Sky Wilderness Area that makes up the eastern horizon.

The accommodations have been designed primarily to serve a couple looking for a comfortable, romantic place to get away to. Although there are two sleeping quarters that could accommodate more guests I limit the number of persons staying at the cabin to only two guests. I have found that I am sometimes faced with 5-6 loads of laundry and more cleaning than I wish to endure when more than two persons stay. Couples are asked to only utilize one bed. The second bed will accommodate guests who do not wish to sleep together. There is a $30.00 extra bed fee if both beds are used.

In addition to the unobstructed world class river and mountain views found at A Cabin On The Sky, we have provided our guests with an outdoor hot tub, fire pit, charcoal BBQ, picnic table, satellite beamed flat screen television with blu-ray dvd player, Roku, free WiFi connection, unlimited long distance telephone within U.S stereo w/ CD and iPod/mp3 dock, washer/dryer, board games, and a propane fireplace for their comfort and convenience. All bed and bath linens are provided as well as bath soaps, shampoo and a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Sleeping quarters for up to 2 persons are a master suite with a king size bed and an additional bedroom on the main floor with a queen size bed in the event that guests choose not to navigate the stairs or if 2 friends stay that wish to sleep in separate beds. There is a 1/2 bath in the upstairs master suite and a full bath on the main floor. Both toilets feature heated bidet toilet seats. In addition to the comfortably furnished living room there is also a dining room and a sun room, a cozy space where many guests spend a lot of their time while at the cabin. Sipping a hot beverage in the morning with the river flowing just out the window is a great way to start a day of relaxing. Fine art prints and paintings adorn the walls throughout the home as well as hand-crafted stained glass windows. The kitchen is fully furnished for our guests to prepare most meals. Kitchen amenities include a full-size refrigerator and stove, coffee maker, coffee grinder, French press coffee maker, pots and pans, flatware, dinnerware, microwave, blender, hand mixer, cooking utensils and glassware.

Views upstream from the property are some of the peaks in the Wild Sky Wilderness Area (before it was designated a Wilderness Area we supported that effort as a business when it was before the U.S. Senate and Congress). Downstream you will see Mounts Index and Persis. Looking south out from the living room to the tree line beyond the river is the newly developed Heybrook Ridge County Park. A 45 minute hike will take you to the viewpoint with in-your-face views of mountains and waterfalls. There is also an ADA trail named Erinswood under construction, and to the north is the Index Town Wall, a mecca for rock climbers located in the Forks of the Sky State Park and is also home to Peregrine falcons. Steven’s Pass Ski Area is about a half hour drive away. Other outdoor activities include river rafting, kayaking, hiking, biking, fishing, photography, and plein aire painting. It is also a great place to just relax and renew yourself. In the Fall and Winter months resident bald eagles often perch in the trees across the river and snack on a salmon on the shoreline across from the cabin.

I’m an Artisan Log Cabin perched high above the Stilliguamish River. You can find me hiding in the morning shadow of Mt. Pilchuck and always with a watchful eye on the river valley below. As you drive past my gate and enter the 10+ acre property, you’ll be greeted and surrounded by nature and wildlife on every side. Upon crossing my threshold, you will immediately notice that many moons ago each and every log was meticulously selected, cut, hand-scraped and placed with precision high above the river’s edge. My view from each and every window has your ‘serenity now’ in mind!

Inside my walls, I’m tastefully decorated with stuff of old and new, but I’d much rather draw your attention to the beauty that’s all around me. Sometimes you just need to get away. To rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit, and take a break from society. A cozy, romantic log cabin tucked far away in the forest is perfect for this. No people around, only peace and nature. The forest is not merely an expression or representation of sacredness, nor a place to invoke the sacred; the forest is sacredness itself. It’s a living cathedral! Whatever brings you to Woodinville, you will find Creekside Studio provides a romantic, tranquil setting perched within the evergreens. Even the name of the paint color, Herbal Escape, will help set the mood for rest and relaxation. The private Creekside Studio will not disappoint! This is a completely separate studio apartment for our guests that sits to the right of our main house. It's off the street and extremely quiet. There is only one shared wall with our main house (studio staircase wall and back bathroom wall only). We are a relatively quiet family but occasionally you may hear us occasionally working out or watching a movie, but it’s hardly audible. We have a fenced backyard. Do not go into backyard! We do have an an American Staffordshire Terrier (Pit Bull). Girly is friendly in our presence.

The neighborhood is very safe and provides a peaceful location. The entire horse acre property is FULLY fenced with a gated driveway (code will be provided at time of booking). Main house/Creekside Studio is at the back of the horse acre property.

Getting around: You will need a car to drive to downtown Woodinville or use Uber (which does service our area easily).
Guest access: You’ll have access to the upper studio unit.

Easy access to hiking trails, wineries, excursions to Puget Sound etc. The property is beautiful and gated so safety was a non-issue. The apt was perfect for 2 people with plenty of storage space and equipment for coffee/tea/meals. All of the info for check-in, access to everything was sent in an email. Wonderful stay. You will have access to your room and the full guest bathroom downstairs. The laundry room is available to use between 8am - 10pm.

Parking is available on the street and you will receive the parking instructions on the day of check-in.

This suite is located in a quite safe neighborhood, you'll enjoy your private bedroom with a huge walk-in closet, private bathroom, living room that is equipped with a projector, Chromecast to enjoy movie like in home theater, and small kitchen with indoor fire place. The property is at a very convenient location. 5 min drive to both freeways I-5 and I-405. You can enjoy the Seattle city within 30min drive. Seaside town Edmonds is close by within 15 min if you want to experience the small town by the water. Take the Kingston or the Mukilteo Ferry with your car and enjoy the beautiful view of Puget Sound and the mountains. Whale watching tour also starts near Kingston Ferry. The house is 10min from Paine Field Airport, the second largest airport in Seattle area. There are Boeing Future of Flight museum and Paine Field Community Park with mini golf and zip lines available to visit.

Come and enjoy all the creature comforts of home in my large, 3-storey, 4,000 sf residence with West-facing views of Puget Sound. Located in a safe neighborhood, it is a convenient drive to Seattle and other surrounding tourist and business areas.

I live here in the owners suite and rent three bedrooms. You will be greeted by Hope, my super friendly Golden Retriever, and you may or may not see my four aloof cats.

The space
Your bedroom is fully furnished with a single-sized Trundle bed, large desk with chair, bookshelf, and a 42" TV with cable service. Linens and towels are provided. Guests are responsible for their own laundry.

The main level (where this room is located) has two private rental bedrooms, a full bath with tub, a powder room, a full kitchen, breakfast room, a laundry room, and a large outdoor deck with views of Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains.

The lower level has two private rental bedrooms a full bathroom with shower, a full kitchen, and a dining room.

The third, top floor, is my private bedroom and bathroom.

Shared areas include two full kitchens, breakfast room, dining room, 2 full bathrooms, a powder room, a laundry room, and an outdoor deck with views of Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains.

This is a residential home in a quiet neighborhood. Set back of a private drive. It is perfect for peace and quit. High priority put on cleaning standards for our guests. Please realize that this is a private room but you are also sharing communal areas such as the kitchen and bathroom. We expect that you will respect our home throughout your stay with us by cleaning up any mess made while using shared areas. We have provided cleaning wipes and other products such as a floor swiffer in various areas to help with this. With everyone taking personal responsibility we can ensure all guests have the same pleasant experience while in our home. Your nominal cleaning fee applies to the cleaning of your room/linens after checking out.

We offer access to the following areas in our home for guests. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking . Microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, stovetop and oven is available. A reasonable amount of space in our fridge/freezer in case you need to store some food. Please eat either at one of the two areas provided. Counter area adjoined to the kitchen where the stools are or at our dining room table only. In addition, we are not including the living room area for guest access at this time. Laundry room is convienly located on the 1st floor. $2 wash $2 dry. We have included essential expectations that must be followed via posted signs around the home that must be respected for the duration of your stay. Please pay attention to the signs to prevent any mishaps while with us. Guest parking is located on street or right easement only at this time, as the driveway is already occupied. In depth house rules are in room. Quiet hours from 10 pm to 10 am. This is a listing for a ROOM rental in our home. This is big house with 6bedroom and 3.5 bathroom. The house is in the golf Couse. You can walk in to golf club. You can work out everyday by golf. There are over 200 winery around and just driving 15 mins . You can drive to downtown in 15 mins. It is very quite and relaxing house.
