Spend your days relaxing in the sun, lounging in the shade, exploring the beach, watching eagles, ships, tugs go by while you curl up with a book, or take a stroll on our country lane. Less than 30 minutes from Seattle or Bellevue and 10 minutes from Boeing and thr Paine Field airport in Everett. The Haven has a private entrance in our home. Picnic Point is halfway between Edmonds and Mukilteo. The Picnic Point Park with public beach has tide pools and is 1/2 mile easy walk. When the tide is out the vast beach stretches out in front where sand dollar beds, crabs, urchins and star fish can be found hiding in the sea grass. If you're here in March and April it's common to see humpback whales going by as they feed, breach and swim between Picnic Point and the southern tip of Whidbey Island. We are minutes from Boeing at Paine Field, the largest building in the USA. Numerous Museums and historical airplanes are very close by.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. THERE ARE MANY STAIRS!
Thr Haven is in our home, which is waterfront and was built on a steep lot. Please note, as shown in the last photo, you go down a very long flight of stairs to enter the rental unit and back up those steps when you leave. If stairs are not a problem, you will enjoy unobstructed views and a beautiful setting to rest and relax.

2. THERE ARE NUMEROUS TRAINS, DAILY AND SOMEWHAT LESS AT NIGHT
Waterfront in our area means trains, and our guests will hear (and sometimes feel) trains as they go by. For some, the sound is soothing and relaxing. It's just part of the local charm on the Lane. Earplugs are used by some for sleep, and we provide a white noise machine that’s easy to select your preferred sound and choose a volume that suits your needs. A fan is also available in the room.

3. QUIET, PRIVATE LANE
Our Lane is a quiet, narrow, country Private roadway and many local residents have lived here 40+ years. The nights are extremely quiet, and we ask our guests to honor "quiet volumes" anytime after 9 pm until 7:30 am.

My only wish is that there were more mirror options since it’s just a 1 bathroom unit (just for getting ready when someone is in the bathroom). The A/C was perfect for the hot days. Creekside is located 5-7 minutes from downtown Woodinville & hundreds of wine tasting rooms/beautiful wineries, distilleries, breweries & restaurants, Ste Michelle Winery and their summer concert series and the world renowned Sophia Health Institute. Whatever brings you to Woodinville, you will find Creekside Studio provides a romantic, tranquil setting perched within the evergreens. Even the name of the paint color, Herbal Escape, will help set the mood for rest and relaxation. Enjoy AC for those warm summer evenings and an electric fireplace with multiple color settings for a romantic winter evening.

The bright yellow door will welcome guests as they pull into the private entrance off the carport. The wide, hardwood staircase guide you up to the open studio. Continued hardwoods throughout lead you to the gorgeous kitchen area with lovely and peaceful green, soft close cabinetry with a beautiful cream colored quartz counter top, spacious refrigerator, full size dishwasher, built-in microwave, deep stainless steel kitchen sink and hidden stack-able washer and dryer rounds out the kitchen area. Please note, no oven, but we do provide a microwave, hot plate, toaster oven, instant hot water kettle, and slow cooker for those looking to cook meal.

Murphy bed) comfy mattress and linens faces a 50” flat screen TV and a host of TV apps (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and many more) and electric fireplace for both additional heating or ambiance with multiple color settings. Enjoy curling up with a good book and fuzzy blanket in the comfortable, over-sized, swivel chair. There is also a four person pub table for eating, game playing or work station (free, reliable WiFi). The wall bed is a high quality made Murphy queen size bed with hotel quality semi firm mattress and bedding. Keep it down or put it away during your stay for additional space. The bathroom is well appointed with unique and aesthetically pleasing high quality tile thoroughly and vessel sink. Large closet organizer with plenty of coat hangers for your use.

The private Creekside Studio will not disappoint! This is a completely separate studio apartment for our guests that sits to the right of our main house. It's off the street and extremely quiet. There is only one shared wall with our main house (studio staircase wall and back bathroom wall only). We are a relatively quiet family but occasionally you may hear us occasionally working out or watching a movie, but it’s hardly audible. We have a fenced backyard. Do not go into backyard! We do have an an American Staffordshire Terrier (Pit Bull). Girly is friendly in our presence.

The neighborhood is very safe and provides a peaceful location. The entire horse acre property is FULLY fenced with a gated driveway (code will be provided at time of booking). Main house/Creekside Studio is at the back of the horse acre property.

Getting around: You will need a car to drive to downtown Woodinville or use Uber (which does service our area easily).
Guest access: You’ll have access to the upper studio unit.

- "Perfectly situated for everything we wanted to do during our stay for activities centered around a wedding in Malone, WA. Easy access to hiking trails, wineries, excursions to Puget Sound etc. The property is beautiful and gated so safety was a non-issue. The apt was perfect for 2 people with plenty of storage space and equipment for coffee/tea/meals. All of the info for check-in, access to everything was sent in an email. Wonderful stay. The only additions I would suggest would be to provide more towels for a 4 day stay and to put a motion sensor light directly over the entry door to the unit. Thank you!"

This little stand-alone private studio has had a few different uses over the years-workshop, wine tasting room, music room-but we finally decided it is just too special to leave it empty. So we added a bathroom, sleep area, refrigerator, sink, TV, internet, a little breakfast/eating bar, and just recently, a new hot tub so you can sip your morning drink while enjoying the mountain views. It has become a comfy place for our guests when they come to visit. A view of the Cascades mountain range to the east, and the pond and pastures next to us are all right outside the window. We are a small farm with animals and bees on the property and we are tucked away from busy streets. We're conveniently located minutes to airports, parks, restaurants, casinos, lakes, hiking, wine tasting, shopping, and multiple clinics, so if you need entertainment or services they are all close by. There is a large circular drive with ample parking. We hope you enjoy our peaceful place to rest, even though you're only a few minutes drive to everything!

The Space:
Enjoy a modern tiny cabin experience while staying here. Clay Baby cabin is part a cluster of 6 riverfront cabins located on a gated and manicured forest paradise. You'll have a cozy living area with a mounted 55" smart TV to binge your favorite shows, a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a luxurious marble bathroom shower and two lofted beds. There is a queen loft and a tight twin loft (accessible by steep ladder and climbing rock).
Clay Baby sits on a gated 5 acre property of woods and open space on the Skykomish river. Indulge in the white marble shower black slate heated floor bathroom. Create your delights in the full tiny kitchen and reward yourself by eating on the front porch swing for two. With views of the river and the granite cliffs towering over the famous town of Index you are sure to take some deep breaths and let your stresses roll away. Roast your marshmallows over your private fire pit. There are two hot tubs on the 4.5 acre property. If "Amos" or "Oneill" cabins are not booked you will have access to those riverside tubs. The new custom sauna is shared but never seems to have a line and the cold plunge on the yoga deck is a delight. Enjoy!

The Neighborhood:
Our gated cluster of cabins is pretty quiet but friendly! You can walk into the town of Index about .5 miles West along our gravel road. Be careful along Index/Galena road as fast cars and trucks go by. Turn right into town across the bridge.

Index is located in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains; the summit of Mount Index is located 3 miles (4.8 km) south of the town. The Index Town Walls, granite cliffs up to 500 feet (150 m) high, are located on the northern edge of the town. These walls are popularly used for rock climbing, offering a variety of high-quality cracks for this purpose. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.23 square miles (0.60 km2), all of it land.

Index is located on the North Fork Skykomish River, just above its confluence with the main channel of the Skykomish River. The Skykomish River's Sunset Falls, a nearly 300-foot-long (91 m) granite chute that drops some 100 feet (30 m), is located approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) from the town (on the South Fork Skykomish River).[citation needed] In December 1980, the Skykomish River flooded the town and destroyed eight homes.

The town is located 1 mile (1.6 km) north of US Highway 2, approximately 25 miles (40 km) west of Stevens Pass. The BNSF railroad, formerly the Great Northern Railway, runs through the middle of the town. Index was once an important stop for the mining (particularly Monte Cristo and Galena) and timber activities north of its location.

We have tried to make this a property we would want to stay in ourselves, and thus have tried to make it feel welcoming, comfortable, and full of amenities!

We kept lighting in mind and have aimed to give you tons of options to tailor the feel of the home in the daytime as well as evenings with lots of lamps, dimmable lights in the bedrooms, and exclusively using warm light bulbs, in a addition to the ample natural lighting in each room.

We wash the sheets with Free and Clear detergent and clean with products that aren't overly scented to be considerate of those with sensitive senses.

The Bathroom:
The bathroom has a rainfall shower head and a cast iron tub that holds heat beautifully. In the bathroom you will also find the washer and dryer.

The Kitchen:
You will find food, drinks, etc - if you can see it, you can eat it, so please help yourself! The provided eggs come directly from the chickens in the courtyard and they are friendly as dogs, so if you enjoy the eggs, feel free to go say hello to your chefs!

The kitchen is well appointed and comes with all the basics + extras. Breakfast is provided primarily in the form of eggs, oatmeal, pancake mix + real maple syrup, and a host of other options we keep stocked in the house.

There is a wood stove cover/chopping block to provide additional counter and cutting space so just be sure to remove it before turning on the stove! You will find the trash and recycle under the coffee bar where we provide classic and flavored creamers, a variety of teas, monk fruit sugar substitute, and locally roasted Caffe Vita coffee beans.

The Dining Room:
In the built in shelving you will find table cloths and placemats - there are cloth napkins on the dining room table. Additionally, the built in houses tons of games and extra throw blankets plus things like tape, paper, extra coasters, etc.

The Living Room:
This room features a large Roku equipped TV and a tremendously comfortable sofa and loveseat set.

The King Bedroom:
This bedroom features an elevated, brand new 14" memory foam mattress with king size pillows and a body pillow. There is a Roku TV for streaming enjoyment and tons of storage via the ample closet and large 6 drawer dresser. There is a desk that overlooks the courtyard and holds a mirror to act as a vanity as well.

The Queen Bedroom:
This bedroom features a brand new Sealy mattress with a 3" memory foam topper. This bed offers more support than the king bed. It likewise has a closet with lots of hanging space and a set of hanging shelves. It has a desk with a mirror if you need a vanity and also has a Roku TV. This room looks out to the front of the house.

The Courtyard:
This is the top floor apartment of a 1950's home that was converted into two units. There is a courtyard in the back that is shared with a fenced ADU and has the entry to the downstairs unit. The tenant below is very private, so you likely won't see her, and the tenant in the ADU is likewise pretty private so you will likely only see him using the shared walkway on the side of the house.

Though the courtyard is shared by the 3 units on the property, you likely will not be sharing it as the other two tenants generally enjoy their privacy and will respect yours if you are having a good time out there.

The fire-pit in the courtyard is fashioned from an old washing machine drum and it distributes heat so immaculately you really won't want to leave. We also supply roasting tongs if you want to make some fire-pit hotdogs or s'mores. You will find a wood pile in the courtyard you are free to use in the pit.

Additionally, there is a propane grill out back you are welcome to use.

There is central heating that is controlled by a dial in the hallway

We provide a pack n' play with a mattress and sheets for any kiddos.

We have an additional twin size bed with bedding that is located in the King Bedroom closet should you need it for anything.

The smoke detectors are connected, so if it goes off in your unit it will also go off in the unit downstairs.

The entirety of the upstairs unit, including the back porch, will be yours to use exclusively. The courtyard is shared amongst the tenants, though you will likely be undisturbed if you're out there.

Other things to note
Please note, the Queen Bedroom is located above the garage so you may hear it opening and closing while you're around. It takes 10 seconds to open and 10 seconds to close. The downstairs tenant who uses it is pretty lowkey so it's not an all day occurrence by any means.

There is a camera at the entry way of the house and a camera point at the chicken coop to help us wrangle them if they fly out or if a raccoon gets in.

Eight hundred square foot apartment with all urban amenities including full kitchen, large deck, washer and dryer and much more. Completely refinished Hundred year old fir floors. The space
The Loft is a complete unit, new kitchen, bathroom, furniture and completely refinished old growth fir floor. It is a perfect location for the tourist or the business traveler. For the tourist you have the ferry to Whidbey Island taking you to the peninsula or North to the Tulip Festival and the San Jaun Islands. The Business traveler will have a great base to work from, high speed Wifi, tv and a google assistant to set the alarm with. Boeing is just up the hill along with 200 suppliers. Both can walk to shops and restaurants including mine downstairs.

The Courtyard around the building is shared with apartments and shops. I have a small amount of herbs growing downstairs that you can help yourself for making dinner. Enjoy my restaurant down below and meet locals to get a feel for the town and surrounding area.

The decor of the rooms are modern and cozy , warm light for each room and sunlight shines through the windows/patio door during the day, noon.The beach is right down the street, the mukilteo lighthouse, the ferry, and local fast food and restaurants are also local.

Our family lives upstairs so you may hear us walking around and some noise. My son does have friends over from time to time and you may here kids playing. We try to be respectful of this especially later at night. But those that are sensitive to noise may not be comfortable with this.

We are in a Commercial building that will have small noises from time to time throughout the day, place is very quiet at night. So, if you're looking for the cabin in the woods get away this is not it. Sorry some guests want a room with 100% no outside noise. We have insulated, ship lapped the walls and added a Bose Bluetooth speaker to help with any background noise
