Downstairs apartment in older home is one block from town with famous Sluys bakery and galleries. Includes bedroom with view of marina, side deck off bedroom, private bath with large soaking tub, small exercise room/office space, and living room with full-size fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee pot. Laundry with arrangement. Quiet neighborhood so please be respectful with noise.

This is a cute downstairs apartment with a nice side deck right outside your bedroom door with a view of the marina and lots of fresh sea air!

Although there is no kitchen with stove or sink, I have the basics (fridge, microwave, etc) as listed. Private entrance is down a short but semi-steep incline from the parking space.

Bathroom has large soaking tub (the jets do not work) and a bidet toilet with heated seat.

Sauna works great but the interior light does not work and they don't make that part anymore. I have a new heat/AC pump that works great.

Washer and dryer available on arrangement with me since it's not in the apartment (but just outside the door across the hallway).

Since I live upstairs, I'm available to meet you when you arrive and are available by phone or text to answer any questions and help make your stay wonderful! I can also answer any questions about local events or places to visit. Plus, I'll have a binder of local information available.

Beach Access: There is no beach access from the property; the stairs near the entrance are the neighbor's private property. There is beach access nearby that I have listed in my house notebook.

Smoking: I have a no smoking policy inside the apartment or on the premises because I’m highly allergic to cigarette smoke.

GUEST ACCESS
Guests have access to the Garden Suite, the Garden Patio, the Spa Patio, the Ridge Patio, and the Bulkhead and Beach. The Garden Suite is in the same building as other units; however, it is a completely separate apartment with its own entry.

Chico Bay Inn has a parking lot; Garden Suite guests are allowed one parking spot (a second parking spot can be made available upon request).

Private areas: The owners live in the apartment on the main floor adjacent to the Garden Suite. The Penthouse Suite is a separate suite available for booking (vrbo.com/3566936) and is located on the top floor of the Inn with a full view of Chico Bay.

Our check-in and check-out process is completely contactless with a smart keypad lock. The Garden Suite has a view of the garden, garden patio, spa patio, and a peak-a-boo view of Chico Bay. If you would prefer a suite with a full view of Chico Bay, please consider reserving our Penthouse Suite.

At the Hazel Point Beach Cottage You’ll enjoy a wonderful escape to a rustic and remote Hood Canal cottage with expansive views. This home boasts beautiful sunrises and a nice beach. The cottage features an outdoor firepit, charcoal BBQ, and native vegetation. Explore 500’ of private beach! This studio guest home will accommodate up to 6.

Living and Sleeping Area

The living and sleeping areas are combined to occupy one side of the studio. Relax on the leather sofa, enjoy satellite channels, or complete rest in a king-sized bed. A trundle bed and bunk beds are also present for additional guests. Bonus: this whole side of the cottage can be partitioned off from the kitchen and dining area by closing the convenient pocket doors.

Kitchen & Dining Area

The cottage has a country kitchen complete with full-sized fridge, stove/oven, and microwave. The kitchen has plenty of cabinet space and is well-equipped for your stay. Dining area accommodates six and completes this side of the cottage where you can enjoy your fresh shellfish while capturing breathtaking sights and sounds of Hood Canal.

Bath

The cottage has a nice shower, slate flooring, and is tastefully finished. Located within the bathroom is a full washer and dryer.

Location

Pristine Hood Canal is highly sought after for its abundant shellfish and warm clear waters. The trail to the beach can be a work out coming up, but is well worth the walk. The woods open up to 500’ of private beach which graduates to clam and oyster beds. If you stay during low tides, you’ll find many natural wonders on this beach – it’s perfect for beach combing and swimming.

*Note: Owner’s family and cats are on property. Hazel Point Beach Cottage is a detached Additional Dwelling Unit next to owner’s home.

Just up the road from popular Kiana Lodge, approximately a mile and a half to Clearwater Casino, ten-minute drive to historic downtown Poulsbo, called the Leavenworth of the West.

One bedroom plus great flex space. Experience some of your best sleep in the luxurious king bed. Roomy living area, small workspace with additional queen bed. Newly remodeled bathroom and kitchenette. Perfect for a short stay to explore the peninsula or head over to Seattle on the 35-minute ferry ride.

BOOKING REQUIREMENT
We will not approve a booking unless you add a personal note stating the reason of your stay. Once the booking is approved, guests will receive a Welcome Guide via email 3 days before checking in with address and other instructions. The access code to the keyless entry will be emailed the day before. Make sure to look for VRBO emails in your Inbox or Spam folder.

PROPERTY AND ACCESSIBILITY
Please keep in mind that our guest entrance is located down a semi-steep driveway and several steps down with no actual railing making it not suitable for people with mobility issues.

PARKING
The property can only accommodate one car per stay. Our street is rural thus not very well lit at night; something to keep in mind when planning your time of arrival on the first day.

CLARIFICATION ON AMENITIES
The TV does not have cable but is connected to the internet so you can use your own Netflix, Amazon, etc... subscription to log in. There is no washer and dryer in the guesthouse; however, the nearest laundromat is located 6 miles away. The kitchenette is not fully stocked but guests will find the basics as well as a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and Nespresso machine to prepare simple breakfasts or light meals. Therefore, the kitchenette is not suitable for longer stays. There is no outdoor BBQ nor access to a hot tub. Even though we are a waterfront property, there is no beach access from the top of our bluff.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
The guesthouse is on a septic tank system, therefore make sure to follow instructions posted in the kitchen and bathroom to avoid issues. Furthermore, the guesthouse has a maximum occupancy of 4 people at all times; no guests beyond max occupancy allowed during the stay. We also ask that our guests do not wear outside shoes in the guesthouse. Finally, we live right upstairs and are available for questions or concerns during your stay.

And while many hotels tout that if you forgot something, they will provide it…I felt the hosts really thought of everything in this regard (refreshing drinks to tide you over until you stock the fridge, smores kit to use with their firepit, etc.). We were greeted upon arriving and we felt as though we were the guests of good friends."

Guest access:
The entire apartment is yours to enjoy. When you arrive at the property, you'll want to take the second driveway and your parking space is located directly in front of the gate to the left of the house. This is a shared driveway so please pull your car in far enough to allow access to the circular part of the driveway. There is space for ONE car in the driveway in front of the gate. If you need additional parking, you may park on the street in front of the property. You will gain access to the apartment from the driveway by entering through the gate on the left side of the property (PUSH the black lever). Follow the path DOWN INTO THE BACKYARD and to the right. There you will find the entrance through a glass sliding door. As mentioned previously, this is an upper and lower apartment property and the hosts occupy the upper unit.

The coffee bar is always freshly stocked there are new, unopened condiments in the refrigerator shall you choose to use them. You will also find several new, unopened items in the bathroom for your personal use.

You will find games in the media console in the living room and the Bose Bluetooth Speaker is in the dining area.

If you require any additional linens, you’ll find extra sheets, blankets, and pillows in the mirrored closet (closest to the tv) in the living room. That is also where you will find the exercise equipment and hand weights. All towels are in the laundry room cabinetry.

The large yard is yours to enjoy during your stay, so please make yourselves at home. There are cornhole boards, extra seating, a fire table and BBQ.

Your Hosts:
The upper unit of this building is occupied by your Hosts. A quiet married couple and occasionally our Grandchild- a young Golden-doodle named Rue. We are available shall you need anything during your stay; however, your privacy is important to us. We work full time and travel often. We are deeply rooted and very established within our community as business owners and public servants. We try to be as quiet as possible during your stay, but please keep in mind this is an upper and lower apartment configuration.

- "This rental was the perfect location for our stay to visit Poulsbo and the surrounding area. Everything was so clean and so many extra touches were added that made it a relaxing and pleasant stay. The common space is beautifully designed in an open concept, with a very comfortable couch in the living room. The bed was super comfortable with lovely soft bedding and a wonderful, cozy comforter. There were even clean robes and slippers for guest use, which you hardly ever see in a rental property. To access the apartment you have to walk down a short gravel path that has a bit of a steep slope, so would not recommend it for folks with any mobility issues. It is, as stated, a basement apartment, so it has limited natural light, but there is plenty of lighting once you are inside. Guests have access to the Penthouse Suite and its private balcony, the Spa Patio, the Ridge Patio, and the Beachfront Lounge Areas and Beach. The Penthouse Suite is in the same building as other units; however, it is a completely separate apartment with its own entry.

Private areas: The owners live in the apartment on the main floor straight down the main path. Additionally, the Garden Suite is a separate suite available for booking (vrbo.com/1993857) and is located adjacent to the owner's apartment on the bottom level next to the garden.

Note: The Garden Suite has a Garden Patio that features a gas grill, gas fire table, and chairs, and is for exclusive use of guests that book the Garden Suite. Please use the Penthouse private balcony with your own private gas grill, gas fire table, chairs, and lounge chairs.

Welcome to our cottage. This space is a bright and cheery studio sure to make your trip to this area comfortable and convenient. We live onsite, so if you are in need of anything to make your stay better, we are here to help. Guests have a kitchenette in this guest suite to accommodate eat in dining as well. This is a quiet, park like neighborhood. A quick look out the window and you will see various squirrels, chipmunks and a lot of birds including several hummingbirds that call this place home.

This studio is spacious and accommodating for 2-3 people located within minutes to Silverdale, Bremerton, Bangor Base, Poulsbo and surrounding areas such as the Olympic Peninsula with its many parks, hiking and recreation.

*There is hi speed wifi available and streaming channels to watch movies. For longer stays, there is no access to a washer and dryer, because of new Covid guidelines. There are laundromats in town to use. Quiet time is 10 pm-6 am during the weekdays.

*We have provided a book of local restaurants and activities in the cottage showcasing some of the places we find interesting and fun. There are plenty of board games should you decide to stay in.

*A super comfortable recliner and oversized chair can be used to curl up to watch a movie or to relax with a good book. The pillowtop queen bed helps you nestle in for a restful night sleep for 2 people while a twin air mattress is available for a 3rd person.

*The kitchen does not have a full stove and oven- BUT there is a portable burner, microwave and toaster oven to take care of most cooking needs. Greet the morning with complimentary coffee and tea using the Keurig coffee maker and snacks.

You will see us out with our little dog Buster and in the summer, please join us for s'mores at the fire pit in the backyard.

We did not need air conditioning the entire time and being from TX that was AMAZING! Also the queen sized bed was comfy. Adequate parking for two vehicles was a blessing as well. Highly recommend. Location is actually closer to Silverdale though a Bremerton address which was perfect for what we needed. Only negative was the construction noise starting at 8 am M-F from a block away though not their fault. If you want a homey quiet getaway this is ideal."

This is an Airbnb with no support and a wall of call centers between you and the site. There is no one on site. Wayfinding was horrible. I had no info on check in but the address, and had to get on the phone with remote “staff” so they could walk me around the block into a dark parking lot and explain to me the code and how to key in. Supposedly the details were hung up in their system somewhere. This was a terrible, terrible customer experience! Also they advertise $92 a night but the cleaning fee is $92. This whole listing is a joke. Hotel..ha! Not."

There is a primary bedroom, laundry area with plenty of storage, primary bathroom, guest half bath, sitting area with piano, dining room, living room, 2 balconies one on front and one on back looking over the parking area.
The living room features a smart TV, electric fireplace, Queen size sofa sleeper and additional couch.
Hang out space accessed by concrete staircase alcove surrounded by hanging flowers and vines.

Guests have access to whole space except for lower apartment and garage.
Guests will share parking space with lower apartment guests. Other common space includes the outdoor firepit area accessed by concrete staircase off parking space.

This replica of a tiny house is 200 square feet, but comfortably sleeps 5. Located ground level, below another airbnb unit and attached to the back a wood shop; the occasional power tool will be heard. We are also on a well, so the water does smell of sulfa. There is hydronic floor heat, cable television, wifi, a laundry room/bathroom and a few kitchen ammenities. Guests have a private entrance with the keypad. Guests must be able to adjust and climb ladder safely into loft bed or request couch.
The space
Kitchen consists of basic amenities including a coffee pot, toaster oven, blender, toaster, waffle iron, egg cooker, mini fridge and a sink. Stocked with plates, bowels, mugs, glasses, cutting board, knives and utensils. Loft beds will be made. Please specify when booking if you prefer the pull out couch to be made up. Extra bedding and pillows are located in the ottoman. Use ladder at your own risk.

Welcome to our newly renovated and beautifully furnished apartment, nestled in a picturesque garden setting! You'll love the private entrance and patio with outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying nature as deer roam through the garden and birds dart through the trees. Inside, you'll find a cozy bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, down pillows, a down comforter, and a full-size sofa sleeper in the living room. We've considered everything you might need, including spices and oil for cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen. We have two flat-screen TVs (55” & 43”), a selection of DVDs, and plenty of games for indoor entertainment. At the end of the day, unwind in the quiet and peaceful setting with a soak in the hot tub! We have both a propane and wood fire pit and a propane BBQ for your use (upon request) from April through September. We also have a washer-dryer combo for guests, available upon request.
