- "We cannot control the weather but the place was beautiful despite. We made dinner in to enjoy the fire place inside and they left us stuff for breakfast so I didn’t want to do anything else. It was so clean and spacious yet cozy. I wanted to stay longer. The location and view are fantastic. Close enough to amenities but far enough to be quiet & peaceful. The suite is so beautifully decorated right down to the tiny details. We made use of the kayaks several times and were lucky enough to have a curious harbour seal check us out. Also watched 2 bald eagles eat dinner on the beach right in front of the suite. Not enough accommodations for a family of 5 for a long term vacation, with only a total of 8 laundry packets for 3 weeks, an air mattress to make it "sleep 5" i figured a pull out bed, but for small children 1 & 3, not only is it not safe, but an inflatable bed isnt garuanteed to be safe around toddlers who like to jump and play. I wasnt aware of psrking arrangements and almost got my car towed. My advice? Older familes maybe for short term or just single/ couples long term. This overall isnt very family friendly. "

Only 2 negatives, couches were small and uncomfortable and there were no light dimming curtains on the property. The only problem I had with this apartment was the curtains which are sheer. Its great for enjoying sunny days but doesn't give a feel privacy and leave a glare on the TV. all in all this was a wonderful place to stay and I look forward to staying here again really soon."

- "My daughter and my grandson stayed for 14 days. The kitchen was very well stocked with every appliance you could want. The space was very comfortable for the three off us. We weren’t under each others feet at all. The bed was very comfortable. The washer and dryer were so convenient and worked very well. There were two things that weren’t perfect. The internet for the tv left us buffering quite often not a huge deal for us but may be a problem for people gaming or working. The other thing was the ants. There was poison available but the ants were in every room. Without professional pest control they won’t be under control. The owner was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. We strive to create a home away from home for our guests in this 730 square foot 1 bedroom. There is 1 small step to get inside and no steps inside the house. We do our best to provide a clean and prepared home with enough supplies to get you thru until you have a chance to get a store.

We want you to be able to relax and enjoy our place so we have tried to make easy to maintain as much as we could. We have hardwood flooring throughout the house just in case there may be an accident. We provide cleaning supplies to help as well.

If cooking at home is more your style. We want you to use a full kitchen with a full size fridge freezer, a full size gas stove, microwave, toaster, enough pots and pans, mixing bowls, and utensils to make a home cooked meal. We provide cooking basics like flour, salt and pepper, 2 types of cooking oil. Make sure you get some ice cream to take advantage of the ice cream scoop. If you bring the wine we have a corkscrew and wine glasses. We provide pancake mix and syrup for breakfast. A Keurig with some decaf and Regular coffee pods with cream and sweeteners packets to get you started and few different types of tea if that is more to your liking.

In the open living room / dining room you will find a table and 2 benches to eat your meals. Relax on the large couch with chases lounge. The Window AC mounted in the living room is whisper quiet to not disturb you while you watch your favorite amazon prime shows (included) or you can use the high speed internet to cast your streaming service to the 55 inch smart tv.

We have a comfortable 12 in thick king bed with 2 types of pillows. The bedroom has a roll around full length mirror. In the closet you will find hangers, extra sheets and blankets. There is a self inflating Queen sized air mattress for your extra guests.

The full bathroom is accessed through the hallway. It has a tub shower combo with a wand style shower head. Shampoo conditioner and body wash provided as well as hand soap provided.. There is a hair dryer and make up mirror to help get ready and designated make up towels. In the linen and utility closest you will find a that has extra towels and supplies including a broom, mop, and vacuum.

There is ample private parking for you behind the Duplex. The parking level is down 1 level . You may either take the stairs located between the 2 duplexes on this lot or walk up the side walk with out steps.

Guest access
Guests have access to the Garden Suite, the Garden Patio, the Spa Patio, the Ridge Patio, and the Bulkhead and Beach. The Garden Suite is in the same building as other units; however, it is a completely separate apartment with its own entry.

Chico Bay Inn has a parking lot; Garden Suite guests are allowed one parking spot (a second parking spot can be made available upon request).

Private areas: The owners live in the apartment on the main floor adjacent to the Garden Suite. The Penthouse Suite (a separate suite available for booking) is located on the top floor of the Inn.

Other things to note
The Garden Suite has a view of the garden, garden patio, spa patio, and a peak-a-boo view of Chico Bay. If you would prefer a suite with a full view of Chico Bay, please consider reserving our Penthouse Suite.

Even though the Garden Suite has been heavily sound proofed from other units in the building, you may still hear sounds from other spaces.

We also want to disclose that we have exterior video cameras on the property that actively record outside of the house.

Private areas: The owners live in the apartment on the main floor straight down the main path. Additionally, the Garden Suite is a separate suite available for booking (airbnb.com/h/chicobayinn-gardensuite) and is located adjacent to the owner's apartment on the bottom level next to the garden.

Note: The Garden Suite has a Garden Patio that features a gas grill, gas fire table, and chairs, and is for exclusive use of guests that book the Garden Suite. Please use the Penthouse private balcony with your own private gas grill, gas fire table, chairs, and lounge chairs.

The Penthouse Suite is not completely soundproof, and you may hear sounds from other units.
