Clean and includes much of what you may need - dishes, coffee maker, tea, linens, towels, and washcloths. The balcony was a favorite for my girls and me, a place for us to relax at the end of the day and to sip coffee in the mornings. Kayaks are available for use on the bay (did not use, but a nice option). Any messages sent to the owners were promptly answered. Check in and check out procedures were clear and easy. The Red Door is a 600sqft open concept one bedroom basement apartment with its own entrance and a Keyless Lock. A fully stocked kitchen, full size fridge and table for four. You look out into a private fully fenced back yard and greenbelt and sit by the fire pit under a completely covered deck. This apartment will keep you nice in cool in these hot summer months and then step outside and relax under the covered deck, a private fire pit surrounded by solar lights and grill to cook up your dinner. We are located one mile from the heart of downtown Gig Harbor. Walk down to the boat docks, rent paddle boards or kayaks, have the famous fish-n-chips at the Tides Tavern, listen to Tuesday night summer sounds in the park, Thursday's farmers market and stroll the shops. We are about 4 blocks from the Cushman Trail which you can take your pick which end of town you would like to explore, it's about equal distance to either Uptown Shopping center or North GH shopping. We are just 4 miles from Tacoma Narrows Bridge and 20 miles to the Southworth Ferry to Seattle.
This property is also ideal for traveling professionals on an out of state project, traveling nurses, graduate college students, people moving into the state and looking for a place to stay while they house shop. Relax on your private deck where you can greet the morning sun with coffee & enjoy the evening shade with a glass of wine. In the foreground of your view you'll see the quiet lush Shade Garden designed by the owner, a Master Gardener.
From Crow's Nest's queen-size bed view the water and Mt. Rainier...or the very large flatscreen TV. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu & Hulu Live TV for standard tv cable services are included for those sports fans-
WiFi is very good! For those looking to do remote work, you'll find the Crow's Nest to be a quiet and easy atmosphere. We do consistently host guest who are simply looking for a change of scenery and who enjoy handling their zoom meetings & emails from laptops without issues.
Linens are provided. Laundry facilities available for those who stay a minimum of 1 week.
To reach the waterfront, you'll walk a narrow herb-filled side pathway to the right side of our waterfront home. Please feel free to use our shared dock between us and the neighbors to the left. We've had many a guest bring a blanket down to the dock to site upon and enjoy quiet time down there with their feet dangling from the sides.
Additionally, we do have a small firepit with seating which is available to use during non-winter months, so please just ask if interested!
If you'd like to stretch your muscles and do a bit of water activity, there are two orange colored kayaks and life jackets available. Feel free to paddle your way around the peaceful waters and explore Wollochet Bay. You are also welcome to bring your own paddle boards, kayaks, canoes or whatever boats you float.
Even in the WINTER, this cozy coastal retreat offers a quiet tranquility and beauty. Hundreds of unusual and beautiful migrating waterfowl visit these waters only at this time of the year. The sunsets can be quite spectacular and, with the occasional cold snap, we'll get the occasional snow once or twice a year. Our weather is temperate and seldom gets too hot (usually in the 70's and 80's in the the summer) or too cold (with winter averaging in the 40's).
Parking - we do have one available dedicated parking spot for our renters. If you do have a guest/family member in the area who would like to stop by for the day, it shouldn't be an issue. Any additional parking needs for overnight or longer term, please just inquire with us directly as parking is limited.

Newly renovated bright and spacious private 1 bedroom suite. Private bedroom has high end, King size mattress with premium Marriott bedding! Gorgeous full bath has all the amenities you need. The Estuary is a quiet, well appointed apartment in the Rosedale neighborhood of Gig Harbor. The apartment is located up one flight of stairs above a detached garage. On the property you'll find a mature forest that leads downhill to a saltwater estuary off of Lay inlet. Bald eagles, black tail deer, racoons, and mountain beaver frequent the property. There is a master bed with queen bed and a pullout queen sofa in the the TV nook. There is a large open kitchen with with a dining table and a sunny seating area perfect for reading or enjoying a morning coffee.

A recently renovated little house with contemporary touches and elements of extra coziness.
This Casita features a floor-to-ceiling Nanowall, a large picture window, plenty of natural light, and many other amenities that will make your stay on Wollochet Bay extra fabulous.
The property generously includes the use of two paddle boards, two kayaks, a fire pit, and a pickleball court. Just request paddles or life jackets and we will be happy to accommodate. These amenities are shared with the residents of the main house.

Our guests love our spacious studio on the harbor with its private entrance, open floor plan. It is cute and cozy, but never cramped. Walking distance to the harbor, restaurants, gift shops, coffee shops, attractions and more.
It accommodates two on a queen bed, very comfortable couch, equipped kitchenette, full bathroom, washer and dryer, Wifi, cable, and free parking.
Our guests like the idea of being able to just step out and catch the Trolley-bus and go around the city. Other ride is by boat just across the street. Make sure you visit Destiny Harbor tours and go around the Puget Sound, visit Seattle and Tacoma. And if you like paddle boarding or any water activities make sure you bring your swimwear. So much to enjoy here.

Drive to the Olympic National Forrest and do all the hiking, boating, and exploring your soul is craving! OR unwind at the house all day with some books and a large collection of movies!

Home is hidden from the street, yet centrally located: 2 minutes to uptown and shops, 5 minutes to downtown and Gig Harbor's historic waterfront. 2 blocks to a park with a pond, BBQ pit, picnic tables, swing sets, gazebo, and kayak launch.

The location is convenient to get to all of Gig Harbor, with amenities just around the corner from the house. The famous Hangar Clinic and downtown Gig Harbor are 1.5 miles down the street.

Located in a safe neighborhood, the space is the lower floor of a house converted into a mother in law apartment, isolated from the main living area upstairs with separate entrance- perfectly private and no shared spaces! Adult dogs are welcome, as long as they get along with other dogs, cats, and children, they do not have fleas, are not overly noisy (barking), and are fully potty trained. Not more than 2 dogs allowed per booking. Water and food bowls are provided at the property. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds/bedding. Backyard is not fully fenced, and dogs must be supervised and never left alone at any time when inside or outside. Please be prepared to pick up after your dog.

The apartment is easy to reach and has its own entrance on its own patio. The pathway to get to the patio is all paved. Just beyond the patio is the back yard, which guests are welcome to use.
If bringing a dog, please plan to pick up after your dog.
Other things to note
-We live on the upper floor, and although we are typically very quiet, there is a chance you may hear overhead noise or footsteps. It is our intention to keep quiet hours between 10pm - 8am and try to be as courteous as possible throughout the day and night. If you are in any way sensitive to overhead noise, this may not be the ideal space for you.
-There are 6 stairs that must be climbed to and from your apartment, between the carport and patio.
-The driveway is on a slope.
-We have a cat and a small dog that lives upstairs. The cat is often found in the back yard and on the patio, but is not allowed in the apartment.

The walk to historic Gig Harbor or the Cushman Trail is less than a mile away.

Lands End is an apartment located below the main family home. It has a private outside entrance via garden stairs. Guests will receive a unique keyless entry code before arrival. Tandem parking for two cars is available in the driveway. Please note that on-street parking is not allowed.

The space
Island View Inn at the Market is a very special property - the original home of the shopkeeper for the market located on the street side of the building. The apartment has been recently renovated & offers spectacular views of Henderson Bay and Troll Bridge Creek. Troll Bridge Creek meets Henderson Bay in front of the apartment and you will have access to our private dock and waterfront decks for maximum Pacific NW serenity and relaxation.
Step inside, and the open layout of the main floor beckons you to embrace the entertainment spaces. The living room, dining room, kitchen, seamlessly blend together, offering spectacular views.
The primary bedroom features a luxurious king bed, with waterfront views and high end bedding that invites relaxation and an escape from the outside world. Blackout curtains offer a sound nights sleep - but draw those open in the morning to enjoy coffee with a view of eagles soaring over the bay.
The second bedroom offers two (2) double beds - with reading lights & bedside tables for each guest. If you're "working" from home during your stay a desk is available in this bedroom.
Bathroom & kitchen spaces have also been recently updated. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create memorable meals that create lasting memories of your stay. A BBQ is available on the deck for grilling as well.
Deck spaces offer comfortable outdoor couches & chairs. A hot tub that seats 4 comfortably makes for a relaxing evening under the stars with an incredible view.
Wildlife viewing is abundant - eagles, ospreys, deer, racoons (frequently found clamming in front of Island View at low tide) and all kinds of birds. In the fall, watch for the smelt that make their way down the creek & into the sound.
Please note that the building also houses Island View Market, a fixture in the neighborhood for 50+ years. The apartment is private, with a separate entrance. Please understand when booking that you will share the dock/water access with Market customers and the apartment shares one wall between the kitchen/bathroom and the Market. We work hard to decrease the noise of market operations in our small store - such a big part of the history of the area! (the market closes at 8pm M-Sat and 6pm Sundays)

Also, Island View sits on tidal land - low tide prevents any boat/watercraft access to the inlet/bay. A tidal clock is available in the apartment to help you plan your water adventures!
