This wonderful apartment is just a short walk to the quaint 'downtown' area where you can enjoy the wine bar, antique stores, a variety of restaurants, boutiques, coffee house and much more. There are numerous parks to explore, all within walking distance and the harbor is a great place to take a picnic lunch out to and watch the boats (and wildlife) come and go. If you're into history, a 'must see' is to visit the PBY museum with an authentic plane right across the street! Find out how Oak Harbor was used during WW2!

A car really is a must for this area to properly see all the sights on the island and surrounding places. On the island there is a free bus (www.island transit.org). Uber and Lyft both operate here and of course there are taxis as well.

This is generally a quiet neighborhood but is also in an 8-unit apartment building with families so there may be the occasional get-together or just families having fun. Also to note; there is a Naval Air Station nearby and jets do occasionally fly over. Normally their flight pattern isn't right over the city and harbor but sometimes, rarely, they do. We love our flying sailors!

Should you require one, there is at your disposal a very high quality HEPA filtration air purifier that we can turn on for you several hours before your arrival to make sure that the air inside is completely free of those pathogens! Located near the downtown area makes this space extra convenient for strolling down for a coffee drink or smoothie at Whidbey Coffee (a personal favorite!). If wine is more your style, The Terrace is the place for you! Tell Brian that Nancy sent you! And do order one of his incredible Small Bites - yum! Smith Park is just at the end of the street and is home to the namesake of our town being filled with Garry Oaks! And they have recently re-discovered wildflowers growing there so if the park looks a little unkempt, that is why! There are some bronze statues located downtown showing some of the history of the city so make it a scavenger hunt and see how many you can find!

With several state parks on the island you'll want to drive and it's a good idea to go ahead and get a Discover Pass to hang on your rearview mirror to take advantage of that savings. - "Relaxing and beautiful" - "Oak Harbor is a great location to explore the island. We weren’t at the property many hours of each day, since we wanted to go to the beaches and see the towns, Deception Pass, the Sculpture Garden and the Lighthouse. Every evening the deer and rabbits would forage on the lawn outside our unit. The unit was well equipped for making all our meals. This was particularly important for us due to severe food allergies."

This Romantic, suite with a kitchenette on the water’s edge of Penn Cove with an outdoor hot tub is a wonderful way to escape city life and enjoy the beauty and peace of Penn Cove. Please note that the hot tub is not included for stays from November to February due to weather conditions. The walls are Italian lime plastered that create a soft glow, with a marble tiled bathroom with walk in shower, and is the basement floor of the main house with a private entrance for guests. It opens into a sunroom that will be yours to use during your stay. When the tide is high, it can feel as if you are on a boat. The kitchenette, dining area has A/C, a full oven/range, refrigerator, sink, washer and dryer, and all the basic appliances, dishes, pots and pans, etc. to cook your basic meals there during your stay.

- "Enjoyable stay and awesome host!" - "We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment which is connected to the main house and hosts. It was very clean and accommodated all of our needs. It was very quiet and the location in Oak Harbor really worked for us. We weren't planning on spending to much time in the apartment since the focus was to explore all that Whidbey Island had to offer. We loved that it is so close to Deception Pass State Park! The WiFi for the apartment stopped working the morning we left but it wasn't a big deal and we let the hosts know when we departed. If it would have happened sooner I'm sure it would have been taken care of. There were no other issues. It is definitely an experience we would return to if we are ever in the area again."

This is the part of the estate that everybody's jaw drops when they see it!! Guests can let their worries float away with the tide as it ebbs and flows just below the floor of this unique 40' boathouse.

There is also a private dock that is accessible for guests. Feel free to bring your kayaks and SUPs to explore the beauty of Cornet Bay. For safety reasons, it is recommended to stay within the bay.

We are opening up our property to visitors with the hope that people will appreciate the natural beauty of Cornet Bay as much as we do. It is very important to us that we respect our neighbors, residents and wildlife alike, to sustain the precious ecosystem that exists. The only impact we want our vacation rental to make is the stupendous experience our guests will receive. Avoiding adverse impacts on the environment is our first priority.

We want our guests to feel completely relaxed, but also want our guests to feel a sense of responsibility to be good stewards to the environment when they are on our property, as much as we feel blessed to live here, we also feel a sense of responsibility to live up to the standards of the surrounding state parks, and not to be a burden towards the conservation and protection efforts by groups and individuals who work hard to preserve the beauty is found here, without them it would not exist still.

Guests have access to the boathouse and the dock. There is a fire pit on the lawn area that is optional. Kayak’s and paddle boards are available.
Guests do not have access to the upper lot, do NOT climb up the retaining walls.

This Romantic, newly remodeled luxury suite on the water’s edge of Penn Cove is a wonderful way to escape city life and enjoy the beauty and peace of Penn Cove. The suite has Italian lime plastered walls, a marble tiled bathroom with walk in shower, and is on the basement floor of the main house with a private entrance for guests. It opens into a sunroom that will be yours to use during your stay. When the tide is high, it can feel as if you are on a boat.

Nature abounds on this unique property, with eagles, hawks, gulls, owls, herons, oyster catchers and so many other birds showing up on the shores. You will often spot harbor seals, and the occasional otter and orca, too. Whether you are looking for a romantic and peaceful escape from city life, or an active few days exploring the numerous state parks, fishing, crabbing, kyaking, boating, antiquing, wine tasting at nearby island wineries, tasting locally produced ales and ciders, getting fresh produce from local farms, enjoying the quaint town of Coupeville, there are many options.

The spacious suite has a small fridge, a coffee maker, and a seating area. The radiant heated floors in the bedroom and bathroom, means you can control the temperature of the floors and room. There is a TV with Hulu plus streaming, and a fireplace to add to the ambiance. Great mood lighting helps as well.

The sun room provides a lovely source of warmth on colder winter days when the sun is out, and also an opportunity to have a front row seat to the winter storms as they roll in.

This property falls into the rain shadow and is south facing, so we often see sunshine when a lot of the Pacific Northwest is under cloud cover or rain. Located a few minutes from the town of Coupeville, and with Oak Harbor a few minutes in the other direction, State parks nearby, this basement located in a rural private enclave right on the water offers something for everyone to enjoy. The space
Nestled beside woods of fir and madrone trees, across from some neighboring cows, with sweeping Cascades views from the kitchen and patio, this is a sweet spot for a guest suite.
Inside is a spacious living area with high-definition cable and subscription TV, there are also books, games, puzzles and a piano. There's a separate writing/working area with a large desk and high-speed WIFI that can support remote work as well as gaming.
There's also ample seating at the farmers-style table in the kitchen, which makes for a nice, separate work space from the sleeping area as there is a door between the two rooms.

This is generally a quiet neighborhood but is also in an 8-unit apartment building with families so there may be the occasional get-together or just families having fun. Also to note; there is a Naval Air Station nearby and jets do occasionally fly over. Normally their flight pattern isn't right over the city and harbor but sometimes, rarely, they do. We love our flying sailors!
For those very special people that have allergies to any number of airborne pathogens! Should you require one, there is at your disposal a very high quality HEPA filtration air purifier that we can turn on for you several hours before your arrival to make sure that the air inside is completely free of those pathogens! Just be sure to let me know and we can get it all set up for you!

This unique 135 year old completely updated building is located the heart of Historic Downtown in the Shopping & Dining District one Queen bed ,and one sofa sleeper, .. The kitchen is equipped with most everything you need to prepare your own meals. It is the oldest building in Oak harbor built in 1890 Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located Shopping , dinning and walking distance to the beach. The sitting area has a queen sofa sleeper. Bedroom number two is perfect for families with children. It has a bunkbed that sleeps 2 to 3 a people a Roku TV for gaming ,streaming ,Tv shows and movies. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking your own meals. Washer and dryer is provided for your convenience with laundry soap .Park and beach access are right across the street there a ton of events going on all year round .
