This entire apartment is yours for the entirety of your stay! You likely won't be seeing me and you may come and go as you please and with the keyless entry there are no keys to worry about losing! You might want to make a note of the code however. :-) Please make yourself at home and use any of the items that are there just for you!
There is a courtyard that is shared between 2 buildings (8 apartments) which has a table and chairs and plenty of lawn area to sit out and enjoy the mostly delightful weather! Take your lunch or dinner outside and enjoy an al fresco meal.

This wonderful apartment is just a short walk to the quaint 'downtown' area where you can enjoy the wine bar, antique stores, a variety of restaurants, boutiques, coffee house and much more. There are numerous parks to explore, all within walking distance and the harbor is a great place to take a picnic lunch out to and watch the boats (and wildlife) come and go. If you're into history, a 'must see' is to visit the PBY museum with an authentic plane right across the street! Find out how Oak Harbor was used during WW2!

A car really is a must for this area to properly see all the sights on the island and surrounding places. On the island there is a free bus (www.island transit.org). Uber and Lyft both operate here and of course there are taxis as well.

This is generally a quiet neighborhood but is also in an 8-unit apartment building with families so there may be the occasional get-together or just families having fun. Also to note; there is a Naval Air Station nearby and jets do occasionally fly over. Normally their flight pattern isn't right over the city and harbor but sometimes, rarely, they do. We love our flying sailors!
For those very special people that have allergies to any number of airborne pathogens! Should you require one, there is at your disposal a very high quality HEPA filtration air purifier that we can turn on for you several hours before your arrival to make sure that the air inside is completely free of those pathogens! Just be sure to let me know and we can get it all set up for you!

Spectacular and amazing views from this special home located on beautiful Whidbey Island! The deck, kitchen, dining area, living room and bedroom all have incredible views of Mt. Baker, the Cascades, the harbor and city lights! Oak Harbor is small enough to be quaint but large enough for all of the conveniences! With a charming downtown area to satisfy everyone and many fun and entertaining events throughout the year you'll have lots of options not to mention the many sightseeing areas nearby!

This home is built on a hillside with fabulous views of Mt. Baker, the harbor and city! The top floor (street level) is the available space and is newly renovated, easily accessible and very spacious!

- Kitchen: Full kitchen with electric cooktop, wall oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, blender, toaster, tea kettle, dishware, glassware, pots and pans... pretty much anything you might need to prepare and serve meals! And the view!

- Living Room: Spacious! With a queen sleeper sofa, a recliner chair and a 'lift' chair. The 50" smart TV is above a cabinet with games and puzzles. The coffee table is special... it pulls apart to configure many different ways (see photos!). The gas fireplace adds ambiance! The Wifi is high speed. And the view!

- Bedroom: Huge master bedroom with a large walk-in closet. The king size bed is a 'sleep number' bed with each side having it's own setting. There are 2 swivel rockers and a sliding door leads out to the semi private (it can be accessed from the main deck/balcony) deck with a double glider to sit and enjoy the view! Did I mention the view?!

Bathrooms: The master bathroom is large and has 2 rooms. The outer room and vanity contains a wonderful soaking tub! Along with a sink, counter, cabinet with lots of mirrors! The inner room contains the Kohler low toilet, a taller vanity sink, cabinet and the walk-in shower.
The half-bath (powder room) is near the front entry and has the basic sink and toilet. Sorry, no view in the bathrooms! Lol!

Deck/Balcony/patio: This wonderful, covered patio has a gas BBQ and a table and chairs to relax, sit and have your glass of wine (or coffee) and enjoy that incredible view! Mt. Baker, the harbor, city lights at night... Just so fabulous!

Parking: Plenty of parking! A space right in front of the garage near the front door and loads of parking on the street (where there is also a wonderful view!)!

Laundry: In its own room, is the full size washer and dryer with laundry 'sheets' (instead of detergent) and dryer sheets, too! For your use! And there is even a little bit of a view out the window in the side door! :-)

I like to give my guests plenty of privacy so you most likely won't be seeing me and you can just feel like you're right at home. I depend on the Airbnb message center for communication so be sure to turn on notifications so you'll be sure to get my messages. And I will look for your messages there as well!

This neighborhood is single family homes on a hillside with amazing views! It is a quiet one but we are also living in a Navy Air community so those wonderful jet pilots need to practice. They rarely fly over the house (maybe once a year) but you can hear the noise as they practice their touch-and-goes! Its the Sound of Freedom! Just down the hill is Walmart and Safeway - easy walking distance if you're so inclined!

A car is a must for this location although the bus system does run the entire island and is free of charge. Parking for the house is super easy - right in front! And there is plenty of parking on the street as well!

Nestled on famous Penn Cove, this charming single-story, 2BR, 2BA home offers direct beach access, stunning 180° views of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains and all the comforts of home including Air Conditioning.

NEW! For 2025 is central AC for those few hot days we now get. An efficient NEW mini-split heat pump has been installed in 2025 for quiet and comfortable heating and cooling.

Unwind on our spacious deck, gather around the fire pit, stroll the beach, hide away on the private outdoor promontory, or cozy up inside to enjoy the scenery. Plus, enjoy seasonal use of kayaks and a rowboat (waiver required).

Most comfortable for groups of up to four Guests, but we can accommodate a fifth Guest with an additional fee. Children, including infants need to be included in Guest count as we are on a sensitive two bedroom septic system.

Conveniently located between Coupeville and Oak Harbor, enjoy fabulous VIEWS south across Penn Cove of the Olympic Mountains and Coupeville, and east of the Cascades! With annual rainfall of just over 21 inches, nearly half of the regional rainfall, you can enjoy being in the rain shadow of Whidbey Island.

Sandpiper Haven is truly a bird watcher's paradise with floating flocks of resident and migratory water fowl and overhead visits by a neighboring family of eagles. For the seafood lovers, try mussel and clam digging and enjoy fishing just steps from the back door.

The day brings beautiful views of boats, seals and otters playing in the water, and of the snowy peaks of the Olympic Mountains rising in the distance beyond the shores of Penn Cove. To the east catch glimpses of the Cascade Mountains as well. The house is south facing to capture the warmth of the sun on a large private deck in fair weather, or inspire romance watching storm-churned waves while comfortably seated indoors by the large stone fireplace with esthetic LED candle light and drift wood insert.

Evenings can be spent by a private fire pit roasting marshmallows, curled up with a book in our comfy Great Room, playing games and doing puzzles with friends and family, or watching a movie.

Or, you may prefer an evening out with great dining options in Coupeville, Langley, Oak Harbor and beyond.

This is a low-allergen environment. For this reason, no pets (including service animals) and no smoking /vaping/marijuana use are permitted in the house or on any part of the property, including the deck, gardens, and promontory. Odors can waft from outside into the house and our rules are strictly enforced. Thank you for your commitment to keeping our home low-allergen. Ask if you have any questions.

During Peak Months (basically May through Sept, and occasionally later in April and early October) also enjoy access to two sea kayaks and a 12' Rowboat to Qualified Guests to explore the cove, fish or crab. We have crabbing and fishing gear too. Separate signed waiver required to access the boats. Ask before you book if you need confirmation if the boats are available to you outside of May through September dates.

Also, possible access to the local small, private, heated outdoor community pool as our valued Guests mid-June through Labor Day is on a limited basis. We cannot guarantee pool access to Guests as our CC&R is subject to changing their rules without notice.

We have a heavenly pillow-top Queen Bed in the Master, and two twins in the 2nd bedroom also with pillow-top mattresses, that you an push together to make a King Bed (extra linens and a joiner are provided). A sleeper sofa with additional memory foam topper is in the Living Room, and the couch is also the size of a twin bed with the cushions removed. We provide extra linens to help accommodate your sleeping arrangements. We even provide a portable crib and bedding for infants.

An outdoor private promontory allows you to get further away from it all, boasting even more up front amazing views down the beach and across Penn Cove towards Coupeville and the mountains.

Action seekers may kayak the cove (seasonal use of our boats with waiver) or explore the many hiking and bike trails within minutes from the house. Bring your own boat, kayak, or stand up paddle board and launch it from our private community-owned boat launch and dock just several houses from the property.

The house was built in 2003 so is well-insulated and perfect for year-round enjoyment and newly updated heating and cooling systems for central heat and air. Many Guests spend their holidays here, finding plenty of cookware and now also enjoy (2024) our new stainless appliances to their cook holiday meals.

More about the area: The historic waterfront town of Coupeville, visible across the cove, can be reached in minutes by car. Oak Harbor, to the North, is also minutes away for major shopping amenities and restaurants. And to the West lies Historical Ebey's Landing Preserve and the nearby Coupeville Ferry with service to historic Port Townsend. Greenbank Winery, antiques shops, galleries, the town of Langley, and Deception Pass are also nearby. Are you a Practical Magic fan? Find iconic movie locations nearby.

Cozy and rustic two bedroom cottage within walking distance to Deception Pass State Park, directly across the street from Deception Pass Marina in Cornet Bay. The location can't be beat for crabbing and fishing trips. The triple boat launch and brand new public dock is 1/4 mile down the road into the park. The front lawn is across the street from the ocean. We have the largest lot in the neighborhood and it includes fruit trees, a garden, BBQ and kayaks.

-There is a laundry building separate from the house and we have lots of room for parking.
-Outdoor shower. It's awesome in the sun!
-There is a chicken coop next to the orchard area. We'll give you fresh eggs during your stay. The owner, my mom, may be around periodically tending to the animals/yard but will be sure to give you space.

*There is a fully detached and separate building from the main house that houses the laundry and a guest/mother-in-law style apt. My mom, the owner, may or may not be staying in it when guests rent the house. She would keep to her self and you would have privacy, but the building is in the middle of the property, not far from the house. If she is around and you need anything, help with the kayaks, suggestions, etc. she is right there! In the past, she has taken guests crabbing, clamming, etc. Check our reviews, she's a hoot.
*My mom has two very friendly, outdoor cats that stay in the big shop building on the property. If you have dogs or don't want the cats to be around, they can be kept inside the shop during your stay. Your dogs may see them through the windows. Please let me know.

There is so much to do outside in the immediate surrounding area or within a short drive. The town of Oak Harbor is 15 minutes south for groceries, wine, antiquing, etc. Deception Pass Bridge is within trail walking distance or about a 5 minute drive (literally around the corner), Anacortes is 20 minutes north. Fishing, crabbing, hiking, biking, kayaking or just plain relaxing are at your fingertips. There is a boat launch and dock right down the street.

The hike up Goose Rock is great, which is the big hill on the other side of the water from the marina and the highest point on Whidbey Island. The top of Mt. Erie is about a 15 minute drive away on Fidalgo Island.

This is an easy 1.5 hour drive from Seattle or Vancouver B.C. so its just far enough from the cities to experience the rustic island vibe but not be too far away. Perfect for a long weekend or a couple weeks to decompress. You can also take the Mukilteo to Clinton ferry if you're coming from the south end but ferry reservations are recommended in the summer due to high usage and potentially long wait times. Its a nice trip but plan ahead to reduce travel time!

**Dogs may be approved on a case by case basis and require a $50 pet cleaning fee per dog if approved.

-There is a Navy base on the island. Every once in a while you may see or hear a jet in the sky. Typically it's not noticeable but you never know. Two or three people have mentioned it out of over 100 guests ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Read our reviews to see what people think of this place!

-Since we are out in the county and across from the ocean, we are on a septic system and have well water. Please go easy on the toilet. We have a big bottled spring water dispenser and also bottled water for every guest.

-This is an old, small house that got a remodel recently. Everything works and the location is great but there are some creaks and quirks and that is what gives it character and makes it unique. Think modernized beach cabin vibes!

It was clean, well stocked with everything you’d need and very cute. It felt like you were visiting family. Terrill met us and explained everything. She is great at communicating promptly. There is a number of things we liked about it. One, is, of course, the ocean view. Another great thing in August is the garden with fresh veggies and apple and plum trees. The studio is in a separate building from the main house in this little slice of paradise that is a part of Ebeys National Historic Reserve and is on a beach right at the water's edge of Penn Cove. Nature abounds on this unique property, with eagles, hawks, gulls, owls, herons, oyster catchers and so many other birds showing up on the shores. You will often spot harbor seals, and the occasional otter and orca, too. Whether you are looking for a romantic and peaceful escape from city life, or an active few days exploring the numerous state parks, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, boating, antiquing, wine tasting at nearby island wineries, tasting locally produced ales, getting fresh produce from local farms, enjoying the quaint town of Coupeville, there are many options. The studio has a stove and refrigerator, so you are able to prepare light meals. There is an outdoor, under cover picnic area. There is also a cedar hot tub and sauna available for use for an extra daily fee (usually included in quote, but is optional). This property falls into the rain shadow and is south facing, so we often see sunshine when a lot of the Pacific Northwest is under cloud cover or rain. Located a few minutes from the town of Coupeville, and with Oak Harbor a few minutes in the other direction, State parks nearby, this studio located in a rural private enclave right on the water offers something for everyone to enjoy.

Please note that either myself and my husband or a caretaker will almost always be staying in the main house during your stay, so if any issues arise, would be able to address them as soon as is feasible.

Enjoy sweeping water and mountain views from this immaculate, duplex home. This 1,550 s.f one-bedroom apartment is fully-furnished with a eat-in kitchen, living room, dining room and office and study.

The house sits on a hill that gently rolls down to the water. The garden-level, lower unit is self-contained and opens up to a covered patio and to the lush, landscaped lawn overlooking Dugualla Bay. It's a magical feeling to sit out in the back, shaded by ornamental trees, blueberry bushes and blooming fuchsias, to watch the ever-changing tides, snow-capped mountains and the sun or moon make it's way across the horizon.

Being a Starbuck's fan, my husband used the Mister Coffiee every morning. The smell of the coffee cabinet smelled like my grandmother's coffee cabinet...boy, that that bring back happy memories! The bed was cushy but firm, which is crucial for me and my husband. The tub has jacuzzi jets and was a treat to use after a long travel day. We are used to providing our own sundries including laundry detergent, plastic wrap, etc., but the unit had everything! The view is amazing from the house! Julie is very easy to work with. - Whidbey Island is home to a naval air base. On a few weekdays each month (and occasionally in the evening), you may hear loud flight training. The Navy does not conduct training on weekends or holidays and typically publishes the schedule one week in advance.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

We love our quiet country home that we decided to share the back separate part of our home for mature Airbnb guest. We also decided to make the minimum stay for 7 days. Ideal for somebody who likes to work remotely, vacation or your in the Navy looking for something temporarily. We have 1.7 Landscape acres where the Island deer and Eagles roam free. We also have a fire pit to cook smores. Make sure you look at all photos. Please read House Rules.

The space
You will have over 800 sq. feet of total privacy. What separates the host living area and the guest living area is a long hallway. The opposite end of the hallway is our own kitchen entry and living area. Each entry has its own different lock and key. You'll be provided a key for your entry which is separate from the host entry area. You're welcome to view all photos to get an idea of the layout.

You park your vehicle on left side of the first driveway on the gravel at the back part of the house. You will see two entry doors. The one on the left is yours, with a doorbell. The one on the right is the host. Check in is at 4-12 pm. Ring doorbell to get our attention.

This special place is close to everything making it easy to plan your visit. Studio above garage with private parking and entrance. A couple minute walk to the beach, dining, main street and basically anything you will need. Located on a private street. Beautifully decorated and cozy.

The space
The apartment sits above a detached garage, beneath two high pitched dormers. A secured gated passage, next to your parking space, will take you in to a private courtyard. The private exterior staircase is on the right and leads up to the apartment. With a generously southern exposure you can enjoy the natural light flooding through the picture window in the living area. You will feel the immediate warmth of the space as the light reflects off the shiplap ceilings. A comfy couch, ottoman and double thick carpet invite you to sink in to the space. A 55” tv with streaming technology will allow you to relax in style. Grab a soft and comfy blanket from the basket next to the window and you are all set. The fully stocked kitchen and generously sized fridge occupy the space under one of the dormers. The capable range oven with microwave hood will give you cooking flexibility. A small window over the sink captures the rustling of a mature bamboo which anchors the shared courtyard. A custom tile walk-in shower and floating vanity accompany the bathroom. Hidden behind folding doors are a full size washer/dryer and large closet which together frame the entry to the apartment. Immediately upon entry you will see the cozy sleeping nook. It has soft lighting, queen size bed and another 40” tv perfect for in bed lounging. Two small shelves flank the bed and give you the perfect spot to charge and rest your phone for the night. A mini-split heating and cooling unit is controlled by remote and will allow you to set the climate to match the season keeping the space comfortable all year long.

The apartment sits just off one of Oak Harbor’s original north/south streets. A short 5-10 minute walk will have you on Pioneer Way (historic downtown) with lots of options for strolling, dining or shopping. This also will take you right into Windjammer Park where you can explore Oak Harbor’s waterfront and marina. The unit is conveniently and centrally located with dining, shopping and services within a block.

The Bit & Bridle Cabin has that out-in-the-country feel, yet it is only minutes from Oak Harbor's town center. This small 17 acres farm provides Donna's horses room to play and live and Stan's Autobody & Paint Shop a place to thrive. Other buildings besides the Cabin and the owners' house are a covered riding arena, Stan Wingate's shop, a "Fowl Manor" and run, and a small family residence. Ten beautiful old apple trees are scattered around. The Cabin is next to one of the apple orchards.

The space
Planting food and watching it grow through the seasons imparts a deep peaceful feeling. Enjoying the tastes of home grown veggies and fruits makes your mouth water. Seeing a timeless car restored to is former beauty gives the pride of helping someone get back a piece of car history. Watching a family of horses run through a field touches one with their powerful joy. Seeing acres of tall hay waving in the wind like waves in the ocean in shades of greens. Eating an apple straight from the tree is an inspiration to taste buds!

Guest parking is in the middle of the open yard, you will see.... Other vehicles also pull in and out of the driveway, so it is requested that the driveway is not blocked and the parking area is used instead. Guests may walk about the property in all the open spaces. They may visit inside the fenced enclosure of the vegetable garden. (Though doggies must wait outside the garden fence.) The owners are happy to answer questions when encountered. As they live and work from this farm, they are frequently seen outside undertaking various activities. Horses may be visited. Guests may not enter the horses enclosures without the owner present. All horse enclosures have "HOT" lines. It is a caution to those who may have a pacemaker to be sure to NOT TOUCH the lines. The tingle/sting from them is not dangerous to others or children, but is still not fun! Atlas, a large English retriever, lives with his human, Marissa, in the small residence across the yard from the cabin. He is very friendly. His entire body wags. This home's back yard is private. If guests wish to visit the shop, they may do so by asking Stan to give them a personal tour. Otherwise it should be respected as Stan's place of business.

Nestled between Coupeville and Oak Harbor on a wooded corner of beautiful Whidbey Island, Sunshine Studio offers a quiet escape from the busyness of life while within easy reach of island gems, like Deception Pass and the Keystone ferry.

I have put a lot of thought and effort into the Sunshine Studio, but the space is fairly basic. Please be sure to read the list of amenities so you aren’t expecting something not included.

You have a separate entrance and there are no doors between; however, my house is attached to the airbnb space. Most noise will be negligible, but my floorboards are a bit creaky when I walk.

The distance from the driveway to your entrance covers a distance of about 30 meters (approx. 100ft) along a wooden, skid resistant walkway. I put out ice-melt on the rare occasions that temperatures get below freezing, but please exercise care whenever the walkway is wet. Also, please note there are no accessibility support features.

A small parrot lives with me who is generally well-behaved. I have him on the farthest side of the house from the Sunshine Studio, but sometimes he can be shrill enough to be heard. I never intended to have a parrot, but he needed rescuing.

Two bedroom house on Whidbey Island. The master guest room has a queen bed and the second guest room has a bunk bed. Guest rooms are on the main floor where the kitchen and living room is. The upstairs is not accessible to guests. West of Oak Harbor off of West Beach Rd.
