- "We enjoyed our stay! Carla texted us for an ETA so she could let us in, and then showed us the room and how to lock the doors (old house!). Carla was very friendly. The room was cute and clean (nicer than their website showed!), and we liked the old charm. The bed was comfy! I was excited about the bathtub because it’s tall and deep, but I did run out of hot water before there was enough to cover my body, so I enjoyed what I could (might have been poor timing with other units using up the water, and could probably be solved with a tankless water heater - no biggie!). There was plenty of heat and we slept soundly. There was a coffee pot for the morning, but no coffee so we went to Sunshine drip coffee just down the road and grabbed breakfast sandwiches and a latte (both were delicious). We were happy with our stay."

Do you love the Sea.... the salty air? Then you will love your cheerful upstairs apartment in the quaint seaside town of Coupeville. The deck, living room and dining room have full water and mountain views.. this newly renovated apartment was designed to be cozy and comfortable and to meet your every need and to make you feel welcomed and at home.
The private bedroom is roomy and comfortable, has a well appointed Queen bed, and a comfy overstuffed reading chair and a view of the water and the amazing sun sets out one side and historic downtown Coupeville out the other!!
The living room has an American Leather Queen Sleeper Sofa that will comfortably sleep 2 peeps, and a Twin Futon that will nicely accommodate a child or small adult. Be aware, the rates are set for 2 people and there is an extra person charge for more than 2 people.
The small kitchen is "light-duty" only - NO "heavy-duty" cooking or frying! It has everything you need to pull together a simple breakfast or lunch or a light dinner ... or just a few steps away are several exceptional restaurants, many featuring our world famous Penn Cove Mussels!

- "This is such a cute little place. Very clean and comfortable. The town of Coupeville has many wonderful restaurants that we tried and were delicious. It also has a lot of interesting history. Coupeville is a sleepy town during the week and things close up by 8 pm, although the weekends may have more options for a nightcap or drink if you chose. The owners wine shop below is open Wed-Sat or Sunday and is a treat for wine tasting!" - "We wanted a little getaway where we could have nature and quaintness all at our fingertips. In less than a two minute walk, we had access to restaurants, ice cream, book shops, gift shops, wines shops, the beach shore, and the long dock that leads out to the picturesque wharf. From one window, we watched the cozy town and the strolling shoppers; and from the other window, the sail boats and sea birds hunt for mussels. Our house is a cozy, tranquil, getaway with a picturesque view of Saratoga passage and Mount Baker. Your blood pressure will soon drop as you sit on the deck, listen to the waves and the sea birds, while taking in the water view! We also frequently see deer in the yard. Our place is very quiet with a Northwest woodsy feel.
It is centrally located on Whidbey, providing an ideal base to explore all the island's activities and attractions. Whidbey is a big island with much to offer. Explore Deception Pass, Fort Casey, shop & dine in the quaint towns of Coupeville, Langley, visit the galleries, the farms, parks and numerous beaches all within minutes. Come back to your retreat and relax in comfort with nature. If you don't feel like getting in the car, the beach below is a five minute walk down the road. You can launch a kayak, paddleboard, or walk miles on this quiet beach. Or just stay inside, take in the view and watch premium channel TV on the 42' flat screen TV.

Our Whidbey Vacation Rental Home is located near the Navy Carrier Landing Practice Field. During your stay, you may experience one of their practice sessions --with Navy fighter jets flying low over the house as they approach the practice field. These last approximately two hours and generally occur in the late morning or late evening hours.
Disposable ear protectors and ear plugs are available for our guests to use if needed.
If the jets are flying during the late morning, use that time to visit one of the many local parks in the area -- or sit on the porch and enjoy the air show! Quote from a recent guest: "We especially LOVED watching the jets flying from Whidbey NAS!! It’s not something that you see everyday."

Cleaning Note :-) I think some Vacationers would like to know that I do 100% of the cleaning between Vacationers myself.
I usually schedule/block a day or two minimum between vacationers so I can take my time and clean/disinfect the cottage. Please read my reviews for the Driftwood Cabin! It really is a magical place :-)
All linens, bed covers, towels, blankets and such are laundered complete between Vacationers. We always provide new pillows, comforters, sheets and try to offer the cleanest and most comfortable environment for our guests!

Our kid friendly, dog friendly, accessible, no smoking, two-bedroom (sleeps 8), two-and-one-half bath home (2359sqft) is perfectly suited for two couples or a family. The eight hundred square foot deck and firepit (rebuilt in 2025) are very close to the water at high tide in Admiralty Bay (no bank). The two large bedroom suites each feature a queen-size bed, and there are two additional queen wall beds in the TV & dining room (closes off with pocket doors for privacy) if needed. Two full baths (both with walk in shower & bench) and half bath allow for everyone to have privacy. Single level home is accessible for older or guests with limited mobility (or in wheelchair). There is one step into the home, and we have a ramp for the two interior steps. Please inquire with questions. There is high speed WIFI through the house (powered by T-Mobile 5G) and the recreation room includes a smart 46 inch flat screen TV (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu included). The living room/dining room and kitchen covers the full width of the house on the ocean side and is completely windowed for maximum ocean views. The fully stocked kitchen features everything a gourmet cook could want plus there is an outdoor beach barbecue (firepit) area and charcoal BBQ. The house is heated with ductless heating and cooling systems plus two gas fireplaces that are guaranteed to take the chill off any of those on shore breezes you may encounter. There is not access to a hot tub. All linens, towels and paper products are provided, and there is an extensive library with games and DVDs to enjoy as well. There are two enclosed patio side yards which is handy for your canine companions when they aren't running on the beach or swimming. Well trained dogs (2 max) are allowed in the house as well, but not on the furniture!
Fun things to do on the property and nearby: Spend hours beach combing on the shores of Admiralty Bay or gazing out at the view of the Olympic Mountains and Keystone ferry making it's run across the Sound. Fly kites and explore the big guns at nearby Fort Casey State Park or hop a ferry to the historic town of Port Townsend for dining or shopping. Bike ride around Crockett Lake and tour historical farms. Fish directly from our beach and bird watch in the adjacent state bird preserve. Hike the bluff trail above the ocean in nearby Ebey's Federal Reserve. Drop crab pots or go clamming. Scuba dive at the state underwater park just down the beach and scour the horizon for submarines and cruise ships. Zip into nearby historic Coupeville (a 8 minute drive or 25 minute bike ride) for dinner and shopping.
All this is possible from our beach home situated at water's edge and surrounded by a 1600+ acre wildlife preserve, the largest in the Pacific Northwest. Our home is adjacent to a state owned preserve and feels very private. We are located on Whidbey's Scenic Isle Way 90 minutes from Seattle (including ferry from Mukilteo) and minutes from cute and historic Coupeville. Deception Pass State Park is just a short drive away - a site visitors come from far away to see. You might even be lucky enough to have our resident bald eagle pair sit on the flagpole for your viewing enjoyment.
Off and on throughout the year when the squadron is not deployed, the Navy Growler jets based at Whidbey Naval Air Station practice touch and go landings up at the airstrip about a mile away and they will circle over the house. You can park at the end of that airstrip and watch them roar overhead (a la SeaFair) or you can admire them from our deck. But please know that when they fly, it is loud. Please inquire if you have questions about this before you book.

Very comfortable bed, blackout blinds. The place could use a thorough cleaning in those hidden places (behind/under beds), and had some carpet stains, but we are dog and family people and don't care about that. Kitchen well stocked. The place was just wonderful! I will warn you that one gate towards the road does not latch. A dog or child can wander out which is dangerous because the road is not far away, so please put a stick or heavy object up against it as we did."

This beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated 2-bedroom, 2 bath home with a large private entertaining deck sits on a hilltop with Westerly views overlooking Puget Sound, Admiralty Inlet, Port Townsend, Forts Flagler, Worden, and Casey; ship traffic including the Port Townsend-Coupeville ferry, cruise ships, aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines, container traffic, and, of course, the magnificent sunsets that fill the sky.
RELAX and get away to the large Oceanside deck with surrounding views, smells of the beach and calming sounds of crashing waves. Also perfect for outside dining, BBQing and sitting around the firepit at night.
The updated kitchen has elegant granite counter tops and new GE profile black stainless-steel appliances, fully equipped for your gourmet meals. The living room has a 65" Samsung TV, cozy couches, a gas burning stove, and the room is full of light and all sliding doors leading to the deck and koi pond.
Wake up to the spectacular view and passing birds in the master bedroom. It has a comfortable queen bed and private updated full bath. The second bedroom also has a queen bed and updated main bathroom.
The property is beautifully landscaped with another fire pit in the front yard with a water feature and seating.
A nice walk or a couple minutes’ drive to the community beach access. The beach is a lovely sand & gravel. Perfect for sunbathing, beach combing, picnic's and swimming in the chilly Puget sound.
Our home is conveniently located in Central Whidbey Island between Greenbank (3 miles) and Coupeville (7 miles) wonderful shopping, wine tasting and top-rated restaurants. Penn Cove Mussel farm is close by so the mussels and oysters at the Coupeville Restaurants are the best and most fresh! Fort Casey Historical Park (9 miles), Ebey Landing National Historic Reserve and Deception Pass State Park offer hiking, exploration and biking loops. Come unplug, relax, recharge and de-stress at this beach retreat on central Whidbey Island! Walk along the beach and enjoy the views of the Olympic Mountains, Puget Sound, and watch the ferry cross back and forth between Coupeville and Port Townsend. Visit nearby Fort Casey State Park or the Crockett Lake bird sanctuary. There are many outdoor activities to choose from, as well as good food, services, unique shops and even a whale museum!
The cabin is small, cozy and cute. With great windows for beach and water views! Open kitchen living and dining space, with two bedrooms and one full bath. The larger bedroom has a King size bed, closet and dresser. The 2nd bedroom, just off of the dining area, is smaller with a queen bed, dresser and closet. The full size bathroom is located between the two bedrooms. Keystone avenue follows the water and is a quiet road that allows for a nice stroll if you don't want to walk on the rocky beach.
Shopping, eating, wine tasting, hiking, biking, parks, water fun etc. is all close by! Take the nearby ferry to Port Townsend - you don't even need to take your car. The town that almost was Seattle, is full of great shops, dining ,and history! Other fun things there include a theater, wooden boat center, marina, museums, Fort Warden... with local tours available.
Shopping and dining opportunities can also be found in nearby Coupeville, as well as Oak Harbor, Greenbank, Freeland and Langley. Coupeville is the oldest town in Washington State, and a great home base for exploring locally.
Whidbey Island is also in close proximity to Seattle, Anacortes, and the San Juan Islands for an enjoyable day trip. From arts, farmers markets, music, and seasonal events such as winery, farm and art tours, to apple pressing, parades, welcoming the whales, etc. there is often many more activities happening around here than one can possibly partake in!
So come unplug, and unwind and get reconnected with yourself, a loved one or friend. The busy world will still be there when you get back, but you will be better able to handle it!
(The Navy jets do fly over when doing their training. It's fun to watch but is noisy. Be sure to ask for more details if you have any concerns.)

The Whidbey Island Beach Cottage, formerly known as the Salmon Run Beach Getaway is situated on the beach in Admirals Cove on Admiralty Bay. Enjoy 60 feet of no-bank waterfront near Coupeville, on the sunny west side of beautiful Whidbey Island.
The Coupeville area offers many quaint shops and restaurants within a short drive, or walk/drive onto the nearby ferry and take a day trip to Port Townsend. Many activities are at hand – hiking, biking, golf, fishing, bird watching, beach walks, and diving. The cottage is approximately 940 SF and is decorated in a beach theme. Your lodging sleeps a maximum of 4 persons (KIDS 12+ ONLY): the master bedroom has a Queen bed with a down/feather comforter, loft has a full size sleeper sofa and the small 2nd bedroom has a twin bed. There is one full bathroom with shower/bathtub. The main source of heat is the propane fireplace. Due to the steep and narrow stairs up to the loft and the fireplace that is not child proof, we cannot accept reservations for children under the age of 12.
Please no pets - please respect our policy. NO SMOKING OR VAPING IS ALLOWED INDOORS. Sorry, due to driftwood, absolutely no beach fires allowed. Additional fees will automatically be charged for cleaning if you bring a pet or smoke or vape inside the property.
Maximum of 4 Guests. Additional Guests causes increased use of the home and the septic system. You will be subject to additional fees for cleaning if the number of Guests staying at the house is greater than the number of Guests disclosed when you make the reservation.
Once your reservation is accepted, a copy of the Rental Agreement will be provided. Once booked, Guests automatically agree to abide by the rules and conditions set forth within the Rental Agreement.

You may hear and see Navy fighter jets overhead during your stay. Ault Field is located north of Coupeville in Oak Harbor and the Naval Outlying Field is located here in Coupeville. The Navy performs and practices “Touch and Go” at the Naval Outlying Field (NOLF) and schedules are only posted about 1 week in advance. Typically, flying does not occur on weekends. If jet noise is an issue for you, please consider that this house and location may not be suitable for you.

They were slow and non responsive to emails and on two separate occasions I was unable to reach them by phone. I held for more than 30 minutes on each call and was never able speak with someone or leave a message. They indicated 48 hour response time for emails but consistently took more than 4-5 days or failed to respond at all. Including after I was told I could extend my reservation by 2 nights and quoted a cost to do so which I promptly confirmed I wanted to do but no response or action was taken. This resulted in me having to book a second location for the additional 2 nights. I would not recommend Vacasa to others nor do I plan to book another reservation if Vacasa is the managing host. Really unacceptable way to treat people who are paying them to provide a service."

This property is made up of a distinctive, circular main home and an adjacent bunk house, with a sheltered dining patio connecting the two. You'll be a half-mile stroll from the pebbly shore of Ledgewood Beach County Park and just over six miles south of the Coupeville Ferry Terminal. It's a wonderful location for exploring the island, with Greenbank Farm, Fort Casey State Park, Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve, and Coupeville all within 10 miles.
After a morning spent hiking the Bluff Trail at Ebey's Landing, come home to savor a cup of local coffee outside on the wraparound deck. The outdoor spaces are enchanting, whether you're barbecuing and dining on the patio, watching for whales from the hot tub, or gazing out at the sunset while cozied up by the firepit.
An entire wall of windows brings the same incredible view indoors, allowing you to admire the ocean and the distant mountains at every turn. The open floor plan brings together a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area for homemade dinners and board games afterward, and a living room where you can stream movies and listen to records in the warmth of the freestanding fireplace.

Welcome to Rhododendron Loft–a slice of Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve and local history! Unwind in this secluded, peaceful 2 bed/2 bath loft, nestled in ~5 acres of forest. Freshly decorated, tons of natural light, high ceilings, and surrounded by trees–you will love this bright and cozy loft. Perfect, central location from which to explore the island–just 5 minutes drive to the historic waterfront shops and restaurants and 15 minutes to city conveniences.
Fun fact–this property was part of the original holding of one of the first settlers of Coupeville and had been in the previous owner’s family for 5 generations. We hope to honor that history by sharing the acres of protected Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve along with our local finds and touches with our guests. We are constantly researching, curating and updating the home as we adventure and explore more ourselves.

• In booking our home, you consent to completing a third-party identity verification. • We uphold our cancellation policy as we only have each night available to one group of guests. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your booking. One date change if your check-in date is more than 2 weeks away. No date changes otherwise.
• For stays longer than 29 days, we require a double cleaning fee, additional tenant screening, lease signing, and a security deposit to fully confirm your reservation.
**Additional Info About the Home**
• NAS is stationed on Whidbey Island, and this home is close to the OLF (Outlying Landing Field). You will hear jets flying by so please be aware there will be noise. The jets are F-18s, as featured in Top Gun: Maverick! NAS Whidbey was one of the locations for the flight scenes, look for the Cascade Mountains in the movie!
• Cell service is spotty in the area but enabling Wifi calling & texting will help! Wifi is the fastest available on the island. Great for most entertainment and light working needs but if you have specific high speed requirements for work, please consider a hotspot or similar alternatives
• This property has two separate houses (Rhododendron Loft and Island Hideaway) on the property and this listing is for Rhododendron Loft. Two rentals each has its own private entrance, are far enough to ensure privacy & don't share amenities in any way. You can either rent each house separately or rent them together to sleep a total of 12. Located within the Harrington Lagoon community on the eastern shore of Whidbey Island, Sisters by the Sound welcomes your group with breathtaking sunrises, a prime location, and unbeatable beach access. You’ll be ideally situated within a few miles of the historic town of Coupeville, Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve, the Port Townsend ferry, Fort Casey State Park, and Admiralty Head Lighthouse.
This two-story, 1500 square-foot home is just steps away from the community low-bank beach access, which includes the lagoon, lagoon outlet, and the bay. The waters of Harrington Lagoon are calm and protected and is the home of a large purse of Sand Dollars, which can be easily viewed from a paddle board or kayak. The lagoon is the fishing ground of two Bald Eagles and their eaglets that nest nearby. The lagoon outlet is prized for its body surfing currents that feed the lagoon twice daily. And the bay is our Pacific Northwest playground - enjoy fishing from the beach or rowing out to drop a crab pot (no boat provided) just 100 feet from shore. Clams and mussels are plentiful in this area, and the beach is a treasure chest for rock hounding and leisurely strolls.
Your large deck offers waterfront views, a firepit, and an outdoor dining area. Inside, find a fully-equipped kitchen perfect for cooking, baking, and entertaining in a relaxed beach setting. From time to time, depending on the direction of the wind, their flight pattern may put them above the house, creating noisy conditions for guests, and also a view of some incredible planes! Past guests have loved being able to see a part of the training in action, but we do mention this ahead to let guests know there may be noise in the area and to consider this when booking
- Sorry, no pets! If you are travelling with your four legged friends, we highly recommend Whidbey Island Pet Resorts!
- The AC in the house is a split-type ductless system with the AC located on the main floor only. We leave fans in each of the bedrooms for those who like it extra cool in the summer! The windows also provide great air flow.
- We have a ring doorbell camera for security purposes on the front of the house which faces the driveway.

The house is 1 mile from the hospital and 12 miles from the navy base, ideal for traveling health professionals or military personnel. There are 3 bedrooms, rented individually, each with private bathroom and king or queen bed. The house is a spacious 3500 sq ft and includes a large modern country kitchen.

There are three bedrooms available. Each room is rented individually, and the common areas are shared. Each bedroom is furnished including a queen- or king-sized bed and has a private bathroom. Two of the rooms have built in desks and all rooms have large closets with built in shelves. Each room has large windows with sweeping views as well as back out blinds for peaceful sleeping. Monthly rentals are preferred. Tenants are frequently traveling heath care professionals or military personnel looking for short term leases.
The house is large and allows for a peaceful spacious environment. There is a large country kitchen with 2 refrigerators and a gas range and a large laundry room. The house is equipped with an on demand hot water system.

Historic cottage in the heart of Coupeville. Walking distance to downtown, government, festivals, art school, hospital and nature trails. Warm, light, cozy, private.
The space
Conard Cottage in Coupeville – also known as the “Red Cottage” – is located within the Ebey’s Historic Reserve, about 28 miles north of the Clinton ferry dock, and 10 miles south of Oak Harbor. The cozy 19th century cottage features a covered ‘settin’ porch’ out front, with a fine view of Penn Cove – a perfect spot to enjoy afternoon tea or a glass of wine.
Inside, the sitting room is furnished with a convertible sofa-bed (full size, sleeps 1 adult or 2 children), with comfortable easy chairs and coffee tables. There is a compact stereo for your listening pleasure, with a small stack of CDs provided – though you can also plug in your iPhone (cord provided) to play your own favorite selections.
The 40-inch HDTV allows you to watch videos with the Blu-Ray DVD player (a dozen or so movie titles are provided, or there are RedBox rentals available at Prairie Market). Currently there is no cable tv service but guests may use their own computers to go online using our free wifi. Signal strength is usually adequate for browsing or email but users may experience interruptions when streaming live video.
The cottage has one bedroom with a super-comfortable queen-size bed, nightstand with clock radio, dresser, closet and reading lights. The bathroom is through the bedroom and features a compact tub/shower combination, basin and toilet.
The kitchen is equipped with full size range, microwave and refrigerator, a compact dishwasher and a full complement of plates, cutlery, glassware, cookware and useful gadgets, manual and otherwise, including a toaster and drip coffee maker.
There is ample parking for two cars in the driveway.
About Conard Cottage
The Conard Cottage – also known as the “Red Cottage” – is located within Coupeville’s Ebey’s Landing Historical Reserve, established in 1975 (the first such reserve in America). The cottage itself was originally built in the 1890’s by early settlers in the town and later owned by the prominent Conard family. Relocated from its original location in the 1990’s, it has since been completely remodeled and upgraded. The cottage now sits a block from the Penn Cove waterfront, a short 3 block walk into the village for shopping and dining. Groceries, stores, gas and other services are available a few blocks further west, across Route 20.
The neighborhood around the cottage has preserved much of its original Victorian era homes and commercial architecture, and the town’s parks and open spaces invite strolling and just hanging out with friendly locals as well as folks visiting from far away.

Our Little Cabin is a bright comfortable space with a 1/2 bath.
You will have access to a private full bath with roomy shower and also laundry facilities accessible through our garage any time.
We have big windows which all open for ventilation including a large view window facing Penn Cove. A deck outside faces the view as well.
There is a small refrigerator and microwave as well as Keurig coffee.
Longpoint Beach at the opening to Penn Cove is a 10 minute walk through our quiet neighborhood.
The space
Our property is located in the Longpoint Manor community and is a 10 minute walk to Longpoint Beach. This is a quiet beach popular for clamming and has a beautiful view of Mt Baker on a sunny day.
The cabin is located near our house but is separated by a cute picket fence.
Our neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful and is close to Coupeville and all the sights in Eby’s Landing Historical Reserve.
This is a great place to stay if you plan on being out and about and you want a cozy place sleep.
Keep in mind our cabin is small, about 150 square feet.
It may not be suitable for guest with mobility issues.
There is a practice airstrip for the Navy and periodically the noisy jets may fly by on week days. They never fly on weekends.

LoveJoy Cottage is in the heart of Ebey’s Landing National Historic Reserve in quaint historic Coupeville. With views of Penn Cove and an easy walk to downtown or a short uphill hike to Price Sculpture Forest, this sweet cottage is perfectly located to take full advantage of your stay. Pet friendly, quiet neighborhood, with bunnies and deer sharing the yard, there’s a lot to love about historic LoveJoy Cottage. 5 miles to Port Townsend Ferry and 13 miles to Deception Pass Park.
The space
LoveJoy Cottage was built in 1900 and served as the waterfront office for Lovejoy boat builders on Penn Cove. Restored with love, it features a large picture window with a view of the water and amazing sunsets. The cottage features many historic photos and antique furnishings. There is a queen sofabed in addition to the California King bed with Tuft and Needle mattress and high quality linens.

You will have access to the entire cottage and the backyard. Please keep your dogs leashed and communicate with resident owners if they will be in the yard. Free parking available for one car off street. More vehicles can be accommodated upon request.

Welcome to our Sunset View retreat on Whidbey Island! We are just south of the historic town of Coupeville over-looking the Strait of San Juan De Fuca with views of the Olympics, shipping lanes, and beautiful sunsets!
The space
Welcome to our cozy home on beautiful Whidbey Island. It is a perfect place for friends to get together or a romantic retreat.
Our home is situated on the bluff over-looking the Strait of San Juan De Fuca shipping lanes. Watch the cruise ships, cargo ships, and Naval ships sail by on their way out to sea. Eagles soar overhead and seagulls will entertain you stopping to chatter from the rooftop. From the front yard the neighborhood deer family may pay you a visit. They like to wander up and down the street looking for a tasty treats!
Inside the house you will find our fully stocked and equipped kitchen for preparing meals and a large BBQ grill right outside on the spacious deck. On those evenings that you want to go out for dinner, we have some suggestions for you in our welcome book!
On rainy days you can enjoy storm watching over the water channel from the warm living room and kitchen. Watch movies, play board games, and puzzles or curl up by the fire with a good book.
Other things to note
This home is located in the growler jet practice area and is subject to LOUD JET NOISE when they are practicing touch and go carrier landings. They do not fly during weekends and stormy, windy weather.
We supply ear plugs for your use during the flyovers.

A 136 sq. ft. tiny house (cabin) on 6 acres along with the main house 1000 ft. to the north. Very private. Very yesteryear. You may encounter a spot of dust on a rough cut post or notice the patina (chipped paint) on one of the 100 year old windows, (it's a cabin) however all food and personal hygiene areas are professionally cleaned. About the ladder to the loft, I'm 6'4", and pushing 70, I have no problem, if you have physical limitations, it may be something to think about.
The space
Little hidden gems around the property add whimsy and an artistic touch. This cozy little home and everything around it has had time to grow and mature. It has a very authentic feel to it.
The water from our well is very good and fine for drinking no need to buy water.
There is a small country grocery store The Prarie Center in Coupeville that has great meat veggies and fruits. Their prices are better than the Red Apple in Clinton, and the Payless (paymore we call it lol) in Freeland).
Our island also still has a drive-in theater in Oak Harbor that also has go karts, and an arcade for your enjoyment.
This is a very animal friendly place. We have 6 dogs, 3 cats, 2 goats, a pet pig, 2 free range chickens, 2 super sweet donkeys, and 1 horses.
That's our animal family.
We do offer you the opportunity to spend hands on time, grooming, leading, or just time visiting with our critters just ask if you’d like to get up close and personal with them.
You can feel free to wander the property. There are many trails and parks on the island to visit and go hiking in.
Coupeville is only 6 miles north of us and has many restaurants and little shops. There is also a spa & salon should you want a bit of pampering.
We do live close to a Navy practice airfield so it can get loud with jet noise as they pass over. If you have booked a week day stay please bring ear plugs. They only fly during the week but not regularly. Their schedule you can find if you google ”Jets on Whidbey” you’ll want to see the schedule for “OLF” ( outlying airfield). The jets never on the weekends.

Guests enjoy a private 136 square foot rustic cabin, including a full size bed loft (access by ladder), kitchenette with gas stove top & oven a small refrigerator, dishes, utensils, and 3/4 bathroom. Outside there's a barbecue, fire pit.
We have Wi-Fi, and the cell service is good in this area in case you really need to check that phone. The loft has a Wi-Fi and a smart tv and Netflix for your entertainment enjoyment.

We do like to inform our guests of a few things. One of the biggest is, we live near the Naval Air Station Whidbey's Outlying Field, aka:
NAS Whidbey OLF Whidbey.
It's the touch n go airfield. The pilots are practicing dropping the plane to catch the hook on the aircraft carrier's. Some of our guests enjoy watching from their cars. That means a possibility of hearing Jet noise during your weekday stay. They NEVER fly on weekends (or schedule week day, evening, and night flights.
You can google the NAS Whidbey OLF practice schedule, to see if they will be flying during your stay, they post their flights on thursday, or friday's for the up coming week.
Occasionally they are scheduled to fly, and don't fly for whatever reason.
We encourage bringing earplugs.
For those of you who are bringing your pet(s), that we do charge a $40 pet fee that is paid directly to us. That fee does not go through Airbnb.

Disclaimer-Jet sights and noise. We have a few landing strips here on Whidbey. On occasion they fly over the property. Their routes vary, but it can be loud. Many locals and guests enjoy watching them preform touch and go maneuvers from the Outlying Field air strip a few miles north of our property. If you turn right out of our driveway, and head north, you may be able to catch some great views.

The cottage is four miles southeast of downtown Coupeville's shops and restaurants, six miles east of the incredible Bluff Trail at Ebey's Landing, eight miles north of walking trails and Whidbey Pies Cafe at Greenbank Farm, and 15 miles south of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. With Deception Pass State Park only 23 miles north, you'll quickly find this area to be a hiker's dream.
