Took me several tries to input. Stairs to unit are a bit rickety and the grab rail to the left going up is in need of repair. It nearly broke when I leaned on it to help me go up and is even worse trying to go down. The toaster didn’t work and they finally sent a replacement the afternoon of my second day which also didn’t work. Uneven and slanting flooring and the threshold from bedroom to bathroom is broken and a tripping hazard. Shower curtain so dark and opaque that seeing your feet in the shower is problematic. Even the little topper on the railing outside was broken off from what appears to be wood rot. Perhaps the worst thing is the noise from the trains about 150 yards away. The earliest one was about 6am and the last one was around 1am. Nowhere in the description of the property was this mentioned. They do provide earplugs, but I can’t put things in my ears with any comfort. I hazard to think what parents traveling with young skids would do. No way an infant would sleep through the loud train horns and even feeling the floor shaking when they pass. Very disappointed and would avoid this place at all costs. Since they’re the only B&B type place in the area, there seems to be little motivation to improve."

The Sunshine House is located on Lake Whatcom's more private South Bay. Originally built 100 years ago as an office for a local coal mining company this 2 bedroom home has just been completely restored to a cozy, comfortable lakeside retreat with tons of character. We have created a space perfect for the most romantic getaways or a simple fun family escape.

Our historically restored 1912 home is located in the Stilliguamish Valley 2 minutes outside the quaint Scandinavian town of Stanwood and in the heart of farming and snow goose country. Flocks of snow geese abound from early October to late April.

Tranquil “Bahama Oasis” cabin on Lake Goodwin. New hot tub, fire pit table, & propane BBQ overlooking the Lake with unobstructed sunset views. Watch the Eagles fish, & the Otters play. Cabin is very relaxing with water views out of every window. Double doors lead out over a catwalk to the elevated boat deck with diving board. 11ft cantilever rotating umbrella can cover the hot tub and fire pit table. There is a fireplace for cozy evenings & 5.1 surround sound home theater in the front room.

The deck around the cabin, hot tub, fire pit, BBQ, elevated boat deck, diving board, finger pier to the North. 2 Kayaks, 2 Paddle Boards, Pedal Boat, & misc. blow up "floaty" toys are all for the exclusive use of the guests

As you walk in the front door, you will see nothing but “Lake” out of every window. To the Right is the clean & modern Bathroom complete with Jetted Tub. Straight ahead is the bedroom with a queen size “Pillow Top” mattress. (We have had many positive comments on how comfortable the bed is.) A big screen TV & views of the lake out of the bedroom windows as well. To the Left is the eating bar, & open feel Kitchen that offers a drip / pod coffee machine, microwave, small oven / stove, air-fryer & full-size refrigerator w/ice maker. To the right of the Kitchen area is the Living room with a queen size Hide-a Bed with “Foam Topper”.

If Mother Nature keeps you inside, you still have the fantastic view, along with a cozy propane fired fireplace, board games, & a large screen smart tv in the living room with 5.1 theater surround sound. YouTube, & several other free stations are provided. Bring your streaming password and enjoy your favorite station. The bedroom TV is also a large screen smart TV with Roku and several other stations. There is no lag time with our 250Mbps High speed internet.

If you want to bring your Fishing / Ski boat, there is ample room to park your trailer & Moore your boat at the finger per right outside your door. This lake allows year around fishing, is stocked, & is well renowned for its Bass fishing. In fact, there are Bass tournaments held here often. It is also a great recreational lake in the summer with waterskiing, wakeboarding, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding… . Just down the road, there is a very easy to use boat launch @ Weinberg County Park.

If you want to get out & explore a little.... Kayak Point on the Puget Sound is just a 10-minute drive West. Camano Island & the beautiful Skagit Valley is Just to the North, and The Tulalip Casino, & Seattle Outlet mall is just down the hill

We provide self-check-in. Before arrival, you will be given a unique access code to input into the front door lock.
There are two well-lit easy access level parking spaces provided. If you have a boat trailer, we can accommodate that as well with advance notice.

Other things to note:
This is an "Adults Only" vacation rental. Children under the age of 18 are not allowed, overnight, or day use, due to the close proximity to the water.

- "The code for the lock box for the front door was not provided. Anywhere. I had to call to get this info. Lock box code should be provide with gate" - "This is the second time we’ve stayed in this unit. The home was very clean with cute little touches. No complaints about the bed and bedding... again very clear and comfortable. Our plan was to relax away from home and enjoy the New Years games with friends that live nearby, however, we weren't able to connect to the internet for any television viewing whatsoever. I'm guessing the seclusion of the home probably has a lot to do with this, plus the weather wasn't ideal. This could pose a real problem for someone that's telecommuting or reliant on the internet. We reached out to what I assume is the property manager, Vacasa, that made suggestions, which we had already attempted multiple times. The reply times were not particularly prompt, however, they did respond each time with basically the same suggestions. We ended up all going to the local casino to view the games in the sports bar, so it wasn't a total loss. All in all, we enjoyed our time there, albeit without internet connection."

My home was built by the high school wood shop in 1978 and purchased via auction by my grandmother. It’s a quaint space that I bought in 2005 and have slowly made many upgrades!
Many street parking spaces available - but please do NOT park directly across the street in front of the neighbors to the south.

I am available by text, phone & email. Guestroom is private, all other spaces are shared.

I am at the home about half the time and when I am there my puppy Maple will be home too. She loves people, and is an energetic dog. I will communicate ahead of time whenever possible to let you know if we plan to stay home or be away for the nights you’re visiting.

Other things to note
I have a hand built hot rock cedar sauna that you are welcome to use. Instructions are provided in the information book in your room.

This is a dog friendly house, so please be aware that dog hair is likely present despite all attempts at vacuuming :)

Our home is centrally located near shopping, restaurants, movie theater, beaches, parks, and recreational activities. You will have full access to the main floor of the house, with a dedicated 4 piece bathroom plus shared laundry room right outside the bedroom door. Two living rooms and two dining areas provide plenty of shared space. A lovely little deck off the kitchen makes a great place to chill.

We let are guests lead the way, so as much as they are comfortable. We are open and welcoming and here if they need anything. Always happy to answer questions and give guidance to the area.

A space designed with explorers in mind! Located in Mount Vernon, WA, approximately 30-minutes away from Deception Pass State Park, Blanchard State Forest, the Anacortes ferry that takes you out to the San Juan Islands, and cute towns like La Conner and Bow, this mountain view room is the perfect place to unwind and relax after a busy day of exploring the many nearby trails, mountains, and local attractions. Dogs welcome!

The space
This bright and modern mountain view room is located on the second floor of a newly remodeled residential home. The room provides plenty of comfort with cotton bedding, blackout curtains, plenty of storage, entertainment, and privacy. The bathroom is spacious and equipped with towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hairdryer.

Guest access
Street parking is available. An entry pin will be provided before check-in.

While we, your hosts, live in the home, you are invited to relax in the living room or enjoy some morning coffee at the dining table if you feel comfortable sharing the space with us when we are home.

Guests have kitchen access to cook meals. Kitchen is equipped with a stove, coffee station, microwave, toaster oven, and refrigerator.

For guests working remotely, there is a multipurpose room with a desk, chair, and laptop stand. For guests who would like space to exercise, the multipurpose room is also a workout space equipped with adjustable free weights, resistance bands, and a yoga mat. Please let us know if you would like to use this space.

Laundry access is available with notice. There is also a shoe dryer available if hiking shoes get wet after exploring.

Due to cat allergies, we only allow dogs. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations and house trained. For any guests traveling with dogs, we have a fenced yard where they can run and play. Owners must pick up after their dogs. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the bed and must be crated if left alone in the room.

During your stay
Kaleb and I live in the home with our pup Luna. We work full-time and have varying schedules that include working from home. Luna goes to doggy daycare when we are at work.

When we aren't working, we may be home cooking, listening to music, doing some sort of home project, or watching TV. If we are not home we are most likely on a run with a local running group, hiking, running errands, out enjoying some food and drinks, exploring, traveling, or visiting friends.

We love meeting new people and providing recommendations but also respect space! We will interact as much as you feel comfortable interacting. We are definitely happy to help in whichever way we can :).

Other things to note
We are a pet-friendly home! We have a 2-year old standard poodle named Luna. She is the sweetest and calmest girl but may not always want to greet guests and will bark when entering the home/space and re-entering the spaces she is in. She is good with other dogs.

Welcome! Lolita is our dreamy little 20’ 1979 Airstream—like camping, but with a roof, heater, and private indoor bathroom (in the garage, no shower). No kitchen, and you’ll bring your sleeping bags—we’ve got pillows! She’s tucked in our backyard with wraparound windows and a cozy small double bed. It’s quirky, simple, and oh-so-sweet. We hope your stay is as comfy and sweet as she is.

To help keep things affordable, we ask that you use your sleeping bag on top of the bed. Pillows are provided, and there’s an extra blankets if you’d like it.

Lolita has held many hearts—she’s a traveler, too. Once a nomad in the bushes for 9 years, then a beloved Airbnb host, and now resting in Sedro-Woolley… though she’s quietly dreaming of Mexico.

"Every day, as I get “her” all spruced up, I take a peek at her guest book and read the love notes left the night before.

Day after day, they amaze me:

“Lolita, I barely know you and what an impact you’ve had. I will always remember you.”

“Lolita, I don’t know where I am going these days, but your warm embrace was the perfect hug."

Lolita is beautiful, sweet, comforting, safe - and very affordable.

I love, love, love offering her shelter to travelers who just need a place to rest their heads before catching their next adventure. Or to super budget-conscious people who may not otherwise have launched on a mini vacation. Single moms, young lovers, older people … Lolita charms them all. Inexpensively.

As I place a couple of wrapped chocolates in a small Mexican bowl on the bed, fill a vase with a few sprigs of flowers from my yard, or spray a bit of rosewater in the air before walking out, I know exactly what it is that lights me up so much in the process. I know because I remember.

As a single mom with three young kids, finding a place to sleep that would still allow us to buy ice cream the next day (“ice cream every day” was one of the rules of our extreme-budget road trips) was a huge blessing. Finding one as welcoming as Lolita would have been a reminder of so many things I needed to hear.

The thing we may all still need to hear.
Good stuff does not have to be hard.
Nor does it have to be expensive.
Nor does not have to include a sense of sacrifice or shame. Really, it can all be a celebration.

So, I stay close to me and to the reason why I am doing this. The Essences of it all: generosity, hospitality, inspiration, ease.

We can always make more money. We can always squeeze more __________ out of any situation.

But what I invite you/us to ponder today is this: where is The Sweet Spot? The place where our true values meet other people’s needs? The place where we can give from our hearts without hurting ourselves? The place where the goodness is so good and so easy that it just swirls right back toward us?

That spot is where the magic happens.

If it can be done with an old camper, however cute she is, I think we may be able to do it with bigger things.

Maybe even things as big as countries.

A few steps away from Lolita you will find a paved pathway alongside the house that leads to the bathroom which is located inside the garage

Great convenient location. Wonderfully landscaped yard to enjoy. North Cascades National Park is close with hundreds of beginner to advanced hikes and amazing scenery!

The space
Located just minutes from I5 but secluded and private 2.7 acres. Enjoy a night away on a family farm and come back often to see new additions and activities.

The game room is located between the main house and well house around the back side of the main home. Trek a little further down and say hi to the 4 goats on the property. Chicks currently located in the game room and ducks to come!

A former artist's studio in the beautiful hillcrest park neighborhood of Mount Vernon. This spacious 550 square foot, second floor loft has 4 skylights that bring lots of natural light. It has its own entrance, a dining area, sitting area with fold-out couches, kitchenette and queen bed. Close to family-friendly activities, including Hillcrest Park playgrounds, public transport, and the city center. This studio is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).

The space
The studio is above our detached garage with a separate entrance, so late arrivals are not a problem.

Guests have access to the loft living areas and garage.

Other things to note
The loft has just installed wifi. The kitchenette has coffee and tea. We are about 1 mile from train tracks, so especially in the summer with windows open, you will likely hear the trains at night.

We do not allow smoking, vaping, or marijuana use inside the loft. Guests are welcome to use these products outside away from buildings.
