- "Got there an hour early for check in and wanted to get a nap from the drive. Called Patrick and he let us go in early. Very nice layout, and everything was in order to just enjoy the room. I have zero complaints except that late in the evening, we did notice some ants in the bathroom, getting in from somwhere. I understand that that they can be a nuisance, but if checked and sprayed it can be controlled. Luckily we did not have any food loose that they could not get into. I would recommend this place if you want peace and quiet, and to be left alone. Patrick dropped off Breakfast around 8:30 am, and it was just enough to fill the belly before we left. Increase the check out time to 11am like hotels would be my only pet peeve."

The patio screen door was off when we arrived so I could not have the patio door open without a screen. The blinds for the patio are also broken. We appreciated the a/c, wifi, and pool access. The full kitchen is why we chose this place. Very convenient. Vince is very responsive and the condo is nice. The house keeper not so much. I washed my clothes the last day and found a wet pile of bed sheets in the dryer from the last visitors. It stuck real bad. Vince you may need new housekeepers. There were also dead flies on the ground and counter."

Tierra Retreat Center is located 5.5 miles outside of Leavenworth, Washington. Our property offers over 300 acres of pristine forest and organic farmland for guests to enjoy. Relax in your own secluded suite in the forest or go for a hike on one of our trails with beautiful mountain views. Read a book on the main lodge deck or mediate in the yoga yurt. The space
Tierra Retreat Center is located on 320 acres of private land at the end of Sunitsch Canyon and it backed up to Forest Service land. There is no outside noise other than the sound of a distant train every once in a while and the sound of the leaves moving in the wind. The quiet, peaceful, and serene beauty of the landscape makes this space unique and allows all of our guests to relax and be surrounded by nature. There are x-country ski and snowshoe trails, sledding hills, and hiking trails all around the property.

We operate 20 individual guest suites. We are currently only renting a maximum of 15 suites- three in each building. All have a queen bed in its own room and a pull-out queen with a memory foam mattress in the sitting room. All suites have private bathrooms with soap, shampoo and towels provided. All bedding is provided for both the main queen and the pull out. All suites have a microwave, mini-fridge, bar sink, 4 piece plastic dish set, electric hot water kettle, and French press (guests must provide their own coffee/ tea.) All have a propane 'wood' stove, electric wall heater, and bedroom AC/ heater unit.

Guest access
Guests have access to amenities in the upper portion of Sunitsch Canyon including on-site hiking trails, x-country ski and snowshoe trails, a sledding hill, basketball (seasonal), a small outdoor hot tub, a meditation/yoga yurt (mats provided), and access to our Main Lodge deck and lawn. WiFi is available on the deck or lawn of the Main Lodge for guest use (open network).

All buildings in the lower campus are closed to guest use. Thank you for respecting our work spaces.

Other things to note
Please be aware that cell service is limited at Tierra Retreat Center. We do not provide TVs in our rooms as we hope that people will engage with each other and the natural world while staying on site.

If coming to stay at Tierra in the winter months (December-April) please keep in mind you a will be driving over mountain passes and on roads that may have not been recently plowed. Please drive a reliable vehicle (AWD or 4WD preferred or at least a vehicle with snow tires.) Sunitsch Canyon removes snow and sands our private roads. In some conditions guests will see snow accumulations or icy conditions for temporary periods. Chelan County maintains the length of Sunitsch Canyon road – they normally plow and sand at least once per day. Conditions change quickly – there may be ice / snow on roadways.

Here are some suggestions to consider before driving to Tierra:
1. Bring chains for your car since they may be required to be carried over the mountain passes and they are good to have in case of emergency
2. Consider packing an emergency bag for your car to include: road flares, sleeping bag, extra blanket, headlamp, extra clothes, and extra food
3. Keep in mind that driving in snow takes longer- a 2 hour drive can be a 4-5 hour drive in snow due to road conditions or shutting down of the Highways due to avalanche control
4. Check WA DOT website for Stevens Pass or Snoqualmie/Blewett Pass road conditions before and up to the day of your event.
5. Dress appropriately for cold temperatures by bringing appropriate footwear and outerwear. High heels and sandals are not the best to walk around in the snow. Consider bringing at least rubber boots with traction or investing in traction for you shoes like Yaktrax.

This cabin is 12’ x 12’ with a 12’ x 6’ covered porch with a picnic table and fire pit. Inside includes a double bed and bunk bed (sleeps 4) with electricity, ceiling and pedestal fan, and sleeping mats but no linens. You must bring your own bedding (pillow, bed sheet, sleeping bag, blankets, etc.) This cabin does not have running water, heat or air conditioning. Multiple shared bathroom/shower facilities throughout the park, under 100’ away. This cabin is located in the Icicle River RV Resort.

The space
Please note this is a dry cabin with only electricity (with one outlet) and beds with no linens. Very minimal amenities and best suited for those seeking a camping experience without the tent. The closest bathroom/shower facilities to this cabin are less than 100 feet away. There is also another bathroom/shower facility near the office, and bathrooms with running cold water only near cabins #1-5.

Guest access
In addition to the private sleeping area in cabin, guests have access to all common spaces around the Icicle River RV Park. This includes river access, hot tub, laundry room, bathroom and shower facilities, etc.

Camp store is small, but sells ice cream, candy & snacks, wood, bags of ice, basic supplies (lighters, propane, soap, toothbrush, etc.) And has drink vending machine outside.

When guests arrive they will pick-up a parking pass and Park Map with directions to their cabin from the bulletin board outside the office.

There is also another bathroom/shower facility near the office.

Guest access
In addition to the private sleeping area in cabin, guests have access to all common spaces around the Icicle River RV Park. This includes river access, hot tub, laundry room, bathroom and shower facilities, etc.

Enjoy Leavenworth by staying just outside the fray of the town. This studio apartment is 1.5 miles south of town on Icicle road. Relax on the couch with views of Wedge mountain. We live next door so this is a great space to rent if you are looking for quiet accommodations near town or recreation areas in the Icicle valley.

Sorry, we don’t allow pets or any animals as the space has soft pine flooring damaged by paws.

The space
Our office and garage are adjacent to the space so you might hear us during the weekdays but nights will be quiet. If you stay in December, January or February, plan on bringing a 4wd or an AWD vehicle to successfully navigate the steep driveway. The space is limited to 2 guests and 1 car.

There is wifi but no TV. There is a full kitchen (no dishwasher) and bath but no laundry facilities.

Winterhaus is a cozy, not-so-big cabin that has all you need for an active or relaxing stay in the forest. On the sunny flanks of Dirty Face Mtn, enjoy outdoor activities year-round: hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, rafting, climbing, golfing, fishing, cycling, or drop in to Leavenworth for some fun. Winterhaus is the perfect stay for nearby weddings. Come back, curl up and find everything you need, including fiber internet, for a peaceful stay (or a remote working spot you've dreamt about).

The space
The cabin is a spacious studio with a bedroom area that closes off with a full-surround curtain. It's packed with close-at-hand features with space for dining and relaxing comfortably. The kitchen(ette) has a microwave, deluxe toaster oven, induction burners and a crock pot for lots of cooking options. There is a gas grill on the deck. Many of the wooden features (the table, lofts, beams, entry bench) were milled from trees off the property. Climb up the ladder to the loft for more lounging options with four bean bags.

There's plenty of parking in the driveway, and the deck stays cool and shady even on hot days. Look up to a view of the summit of Dirty Face mountain 4000' above you. Watch for the local flock of wild turkeys and other wildlife that may wander through.

PLEASE NOTE:

This cabin has a gravel entrance path and stairs up to the deck that may be a challenge for those with mobility issues.

The loft is accessed by a ladder and is only for people not in need of supervision.

This is our little hideout near the heart of downtown Leavenworth. It's a studio unit with a 3/4 bathroom and a kitchenette. It has a queen bed, sofa, Roku TV, great wifi, soft towels, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave and more. It does not have a stove or cooking equipment other than a microwave. It is a basement unit but with lots of light. It's one of three units in the building and there is a unit above this one so you WILL likely hear footsteps or muted voices from above at times.

The space
The building is over 100 years old. This is the basement unit (entered through the door on the left side of the building). There is another unit in the back and one in the front.

The space
We love the outside deck. It has a heater and lights. Sit and read, watch the snow fall and the birds drink from the fountain. The kitchen is fully appointed and there is a BBQ. The cabin is positioned so you can't see neighbors on either side.

We do allow dogs on approval, please inquire. There is an extra charge.

The top bunks can not be used without permissions, there is an extra fee that my housekeeper charges extra to make them. The futon can not be opened into a bed.

We can provide wood for the wood stove, for a fee. Please inquire. If you want to have a fire in the fire pit, please provider you own wood, or purchase from the Plain store.

We have WiFI. 2 Smart TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living room.

There is the possibility to have housekeeping, please inquire.

Please obey speed limits in the neighborhood. The HOA has started imposing speeding fines. Roads and driveway plowed in the winter.

We have a locking trash can for landfill waste. PLEASE make sure to relock it after opening. It's to keep the animals out. The HOA can impose up to $1000.00 fine for dumped trash cans. That fee will be charged to guest. We've has the system for 2 years and no animals have been able to penetrate it, so it works. Monday is trash pick up. The can will need to be rolled to the end of the driveway. DO NOT unlock it, Waste Management will unlock it when they empty the can.

We will provide 2 rolls of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels.

1 bedroom/1 bath cabin with bunk room in Plain, WA. 15 miles to Leavenworth. About 6 miles to Lake Wenatchee & Fish Lake. 30 miles to Steven's Pass Ski & Bike area. Golf Course 6 miles. Cross Country skiing in winter. There's a river that runs through our neighborhood that is great for floating and playing in. We have a pool, playground, volleyball, basketball & baseball. We have bikes you can use, no helmets. This is an outdoor lover's paradise! It is comfortable but rustic.

The fully stocked kitchen is ideal for home-cooked meals. Envision yourself on the deck snuggled into one of the cozy sofas with a tasty beverage and bowl of popcorn, with a couple of friends. Let the good times roll. The BBQ shed if right off the deck, so the chef can be part of the festivities.
