This is a two bedroom suite on the top floor of a two story house with private entrance. It's set in a lovely treed (third of an acre lot) with beautiful tall Douglas fir trees surrounding our quiet, clean and comfortable home.
We are in the west shore, just 20 minutes out of Victoria, convenient to stores, restaurants, big box stores and every convenience one would need.
We are a five minute walk to two lovely lakes, bus stops to town or up Island and the Galloping Goose trail for walking or bike riding to town and many places in the area.
There is an awesome bowling alley minutes away and bike rentals.
There is the best YM/YWCA five minutes from here with a beautiful weight room with the latest equipment and three pools, as well as hot tub, sauna & steam room.
The house is fully furnished with a large sun room and a second living room. A lovely kitchen with new appliances and everything one might need for cooking and storing food.
We have wireless internet and TV along with an Apple computer.
Come and enjoy a relaxing stay and I will do everything it takes to help make your visit a happy time.

Close to sand and water, trees and trails. Our comfortable one bedroom suite, with private access, is in a residential neighborhood next to Glen Lake, in the beautiful area of Langford. Our place is a short walk to sports fields, the YMCA, the Rugby Canada National Training Centre, Pacific Football Club, shopping, bowling, skating, theatres, groceries, and the galloping goose trail.

The kitchen is complete with a fridge, stove, microwave, Keurig, small appliances, pots, pans, and even a picnic basket complete with beach towels to support your adventures on the island.

We have Wi-Fi and cable TV. Our suite includes a stackable washer and dryer. Linens are supplied. The bathroom will have shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hair dryer.

Bring your kayaks, paddleboards and fishing gear if you like as the lake is stocked with trout. You can fish off the dock or there's a small boat launch for boats with electric motors.

The space features a cozy living room with 4 lounge seats & Roku TV & coffee table, a dining area, plus a full bathroom, en-suite laundry, private entrance, and lots of free on-site parking space. The kitchen is fully-stocked with dishes, pantry items, spices, coffee & machine, assorted teas, and any appliances you need - just let us know what items you want when booking. All of our properties are fully furnished and priced with all applicable cleaning fees, utilities, internet, and $3000 accidental damage insurance included in the price. ACCESSIBILITY NOTES:

You'll be staying in our suite which is located above our garage. When you arrive, you'll enter your private space via a door on the left side of the property. Please note that there is one flight of stairs to reach the unit.

Once you arrive, you'll be greeted with an open kitchen, dining and living area. The dining seats 4 and our couch comfortably seats 3.

Watch movies or log in to your own Netflix account on our smart Samsung "The Frame" TV. We've added a soundbar too which you can connect to via AirPlay or Chromecast to play your own music.

In this space you'll also find a desk with a Samsung external monitor ready to plug in. Feel free to use it to get a bit of work done if you wish!

Our kitchen is complete with a Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, stove, oven, kettle, tea pot and some cooking essentials like olive oil. Please note that we do not have a dishwasher at this time so you will have to wash your own dishes. We've provided everything you need for just that.

A fire extinguisher is located underneath the kitchen sink.

Through the hall you'll find a closet, washer and dryer and then full bathroom with a bath and shower.

The bedroom is at the end of the unit and is complete with a Queen bed and wardrobe. You'll find plenty of space to store your items.

Please note that there is an interior fire door that connects through to the main house. This door is locked on both sides for privacy reasons.

We love a well-lit place so the suite is complete with dimmable lights and a sensor light in the bathroom so you don't have to worry about turning it on or off in the middle of the night!

This is a walk-out, ground level suite. It has one bedroom and one bathroom, a full kitchen and a comfortable living/dining space.

Wifi and Amazon Prime streaming services are provided. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, mugs and cups. Oil, salt and pepper, sugar, tea, and coffee are also provided.

There is plenty of free street parking available, usually with a spot right out front of the house. Guests have their own private, separate entrance with a small outdoor seating area.

Towels, washcloths and extra linens and blankets are provided along with shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

Guests will also have access to an in-suite washer and dryer (free to use!)

Our property is located outside of Victoria. We recommend that guests rent a car to be able to properly enjoy what the area has to offer, as most activities, restaurants and shopping areas are spread out. Most of our guests rent our suite in order to take advantage of the beautiful parks, beaches and hiking trails in the area.

Please note that rush hour traffic will affect travel time when travelling into downtown Victoria. Normal travel time is approximately 30 minutes by car to the downtown core, but can be over an hour from approximately 8am - 9:30am (into town) and 3pm - 6pm (out of town). If you avoid these times, travelling will be easy!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. With a putting green right outside your window, you have access to our two acres of forested land and a cozy spot to rest when visiting Victoria and Langford. You may even get a visit from one of our fluffy pups (if you desire).

Ford Acres is a newly furnished spacious studio suite with all the kitchen and bathroom amenities you might need. Attention has been paid to small details to ensure that your stay is comfortable, effortless and fun.

The space
Ford Acres is a cosy spacious studio apartment in our family home. Set among the trees in rural Langford, you will look out your window to a forested setting with birch and arbutus trees (and soon our waterfall feature, which is in development). Have fun on the putting green or play a round of rustic Frisbee golf on the property; scan the air for eagles in flight; and catch a glimpse of our resident deer population. Our four little hypoallergenic pups may come down to to visit you if you are sitting out on your private patio so please let us know if you would prefer they don’t, and we will ensure you have your space.

Breakfast is available for an extra fee and by prior arrangement and you will find yourselves welcomed with fresh baking upon arrival. We strive to ensure that you have a wonderful stay, and with a short ten-minute drive to civilization in Langford, you can access any and all amenities and extras you may need. Depending on the time of day, downtown Victoria is around 30 minutes away (ask us for the heightened traffic times to avoid!) and you are surrounded by walking trails and beaches within a short drive. Visit historic Hatley Castle (where they filmed the X-Men movies) within minutes, or drive to East Sooke Park for some spectacular scenery in half an hour.

We are happy to advise you on the best places to go in our beautiful area.

Note: this is a hilly and rocky area with several steps to reach the entrance. It is unfortunately not appropriate for people with mobility issues at this time.

You have a private entrance with patio to your own studio suite with full kitchen. The entrance is through our laundry room, but we will make sure we are not in there during check-in times.

Please note this is a NONSMOKING PROPERTY and there is to be absolutely no smoking on the grounds at all. As cigarette smoke tends to cling to clothing, fibers, etc., and we have family members who are highly sensitive to smoke, we ask that no smokers book this suite.

Please also note that we are on septic and there is to be nothing put into the toilet aside from human waste and toilet paper.
