We always clean our Rentals to a 5-star rating, but now we're taking extra precautions to especially make sure that all our places are completely disinfected after other guests checkout. So anybody who is concerned we hope this will ease your fears.
I built this myself ten years ago. I lived here until a few years ago when I sold my business and went traveling the world. The part of the building around the Loft is mostly storage, with a small living space. The other end is a shop were I occasionally work on my own vehicles, and build tiny houses.
The living room has plenty of couch space for everyone, and plenty of movies and board games to entertain. It has one large bathroom with a nice heated jet tub and washer\dryer readily available. Located within a mile of everything in Forks and just a three minute walk from the city park. Come enjoy the summer sun, the sky window views and the wide open spaces to gather with family and friends.
Enjoy a breakfast/treat basket with apples, oranges, breakfast cookies, popcorn, and more with eggs ready to go for breakfast in the fridge.

Right in town, Soaring Heights is a couple minutes walk from the Shell station, a short walk to both Mexican food diners, the new restaurant Benelli's, Native to Twilight, and the Twilight Collection. Tillicum Park is only a 5 to 10 minute walk away with a big open field, skate park, ball fields, tennis court, and a large children's playground. The streets around the Loft are calm with little traffic.

- "Host was excellent with communication from the very start. Check-in instructions were clear and much appreciated. Our trip to ONP brought us through Forks for our first evening and this house met our needs to shower and rest for the next day of hiking and exploring. " - "Property location perfectly in town but far enough from the town noise. 3 big bedrooms, 1 big bathroom and a big livingroom. Kitchen fully equipped, a bqq grill outside. You share a wall with another rental and you are above the owners of the rentals. But you have your own entrance and you don't even know theres others next to you. Parking was perfect for more than 1 vehicle. All the rules and check-out lists were posted and easy to follow. I highly recommend this place if you need somewhere to stay while exploring Forks and surrounding areas."

Reconnect with the simplicity of nature, where tranquility meets comfort at Manitou Lodge in Forks, Washington. Nearby many Olympic National Park entrances like Sol Duc Hot Springs, the Hoh Rain Forest, Cape Flattery, Rialto Beach, Ruby Beach, the Tree of Life and many more. Our centrally located refuge makes an excellent “base camp” from which you can explore the Olympic Peninsula. Hiking, fishing, and exploring, or immersing yourself in the Twilight Saga, we are the perfect escape!
The Space:
The Cedar Suite is Manitou Lodge's spacious two-room suite with queen beds in both rooms and a bathroom with a shower. A sliding glass rear entrance leads onto a covered patio, with outdoor seating. The Douglas fir walls in the smaller room and salvage-cedar/driftwood trim throughout provide a cabin-like feel. 4 guests maximum occupancy.
Pets are allowed in this room ($50 for the first, $25 each additional), which can be paid in via the website or cash on arrival. AIRBNB and VRBO guests please communicate directly, in advance of your stay, to make arrangements for payment.
Manitou Lodge is perfectly situated in Forks, Washington. Our accommodations provide guest rooms, cabins and camping on ten acres of coastal rainforest, just 3 miles from Rialto Beach, and 15 minutes west of Forks. Manitou is what a lodge should be – wood, stone, a Great Room with a massive stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and furniture you can put your feet up on. Nights in our forest are silent except for the distant rush of the Sol Duc river and occasional interruptions by coyotes and owls.
Originally built in 1970, our Forks WA Lodging is a built around a classic lodge structure whose most striking feature is a huge vaulted-ceiling Great Room with a massive stone fireplace. The numerous couches and chairs in this room provide the space to be with others, and, at the same time, to be private. The Lodge also is home to our lovely Gift Shop which features Native American and Pacific Northwest art, decor, jewelry and more.
Step Outside and Experience the Pacific Northwest
Situated on ten acres of coastal rainforest, our Forks WA Lodging is just about as far west as you can get in the lower 48 states. The property’s hemlocks and spruce are still imposing, and there’s a Western Hemlock on the property well over 1000 years old. The grounds include wonderful trails, bits of whimsy and lovely spots to picnic.
Summer is a delight with sunshine and temperatures that rarely rise above 80 F. With winter come the fish. Local rivers (Sol Duc, Bogachiel, Calawah, Hoh) offer world-class salmon and steelhead fishing. We also experience powerful winter storms which shape our coastline. It’s worth a dose of rain and wind in the face to witness one of these, especially when a couch, fire and warm bed are just a couple of minutes away.
SELF CHECK-IN: Any time after 3pm (no early arrivals, please). Find the card with your name on it at the front door and follow check-in instructions inside. With the convenience of self check-in at our Forks Washington accommodations, you can take your time and arrive at your convenience.
There is something for everybody any time of year in the Olympic National Park and Forks Washington. Explore wilderness beaches such as Rialto Beach, hike in the moss-draped beauty of the Hoh rainforest, fish the plentiful rivers of the region, or enjoy sightseeing. Forks is also the setting for the Twilight Saga, and hosts the Forever Twilight Festival every fall.
We’re located just a 45 minute drive from the Hoh Rainforest and Sol Duc Hot Springs, and about an hour from Cape Flattery (most Northwestern point in the lower 48 states) and the Makah Reservation and Cultural Museum at Neah Bay. Rialto Beach, spectacularly rugged and log-strewn, is just 3 miles away. The Quileute Tribe resides 9 miles away at La Push, as well as First Beach at LaPush and Olympic National Park’s Second and Third Beaches (not to be confused with Beaches 1-3 south of Kalaloch).
Rialto Beach, the only drive-to beach in the immediate area, is a spectacular, driftwood-strewn beach on the north side of the Quileute river about 3 miles from the Manitou Lodge. The surf is generally heavy, the driftwood logs huge, and the sunsets are magnificent. The Rialto crescent extends for about 1.5 miles and ends with two towering sea stacks, tidal pools, and “Hole-in-the-Wall”, a surf-carved tunnel in a headland. The 18 mile hike north from Rialto Beach to Cape Alava is a favorite with backpackers.
First, Second and Third Beaches extend south from the mouth of the Quileute River. These beaches are long, flat crescents popular with photographers due to sea-stacks (a well-known sea-stack complex, the “Quileute Needles”, lies just offshore), tidal pools, and eagles. Access to Second and Third Beaches requires hikes of 0.5 to 1.5 miles, respectively. The headlands at First Beach and Second Beach can’t be passed, but one can backpack south from Third Beach along the coast for about 17 miles to Oil City.
The Hoh Visitor Center is about 30 miles from us, and the Hoh Rainforest is possibly best known attraction in the Olympic National Park. Average annual rainfall in the Hoh Valley is in excess of 150 inches, and has a spectacular effect on the vegetation. Along the “Hall of Mosses” Trail, the moss-draped maples are extravagantly green year round, so much so that somebody has written that the air appears to be jade-colored. The Spruce Trail follows the glacier-carved Hoh river maple and red alder “bottom”. Scenic raft trips are available in summer along the Hoh River, and guides can be contracted throughout the year for fishing and scenic trips.
Other regional activities near Forks Washington include world-class fishing, mountain-biking, hiking in the Olympic mountains and along the wild beaches that comprise the Pacific Coast portion of the Olympic National Park, or a visit to Cape Flattery, the most Northwestern point in the lower 48 states. A boardwalk recently completed by the Makah Nation, on whose lands the Cape sits, has considerably eased the hike. The views of the Straits of Juan de Fuca, Tatoosh Island, and Vancouver Island from the Cape cliffs are inspiring. While visiting the Cape, you won’t want to miss the outstanding Makah Cultural Center and Museum at Neah Bay. These are just a sampling of the possibilities on the West End. For a more comprehensive look, consult some of the links listed below and visit the Forks Chamber of Commerce Five Day Guide to the West End. Twilight fans won’t want to miss a stop in Forks, WA.

- "Conveniently located to get to Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach. Beds were comfy. Appreciated the rooms got dark at night especially with trying to get little kids to bed. Room could be a bit noisy at times with room above us (they were just getting ready for hiking early - nothing too crazy). Large common area very nice." - "As soon as you turn off the main road onto the property you can feel the stress fall off your shoulders—surrounded by towering old forest and the sounds of birds chattering. We stayed in the unique lodge which is lovely and full of character. There was an issue (that we caused) and the staff went waaaaaay above and beyond to remedy it. I can't tell you how grateful we were that he took so much care and time to fix it. With Rialto beach just a five minute drive and the rainforest center fairly close by, there was plenty to do and see. I highly recommend staying here!"

- "One of our favourite nights on the Olympic Loop road trip tour. The room was comfortable and just right. The living room of the lodge offered a great chance to play games and drink wine with fellow travelers. We loved it. It was a little more remote than expected but short drive to a corner store and beaches. Ensure you pack your food or have take out." - "The lodge is conveniently located near Forks, WA. Forks, the only town in the area, is a 15-minute drive. There is access to groceries, restaurants, and gas stations. Sacagawea is a quiet king bedroom off of the main lodge lounge, which has comfortable seating, a beautiful fireplace, and games. The room has a refrigerator, microwave, radio (no TV), and a comfortable bed. We used it as a base for exploring the beauty of Cape Flattery, Rialto, Second and Third Beaches, and the Hoh Rain Forest in Olympic National Park. We would gladly stay here again."

- "We had a great 3 night stay at Manatou Lodge in the quaint Pocohantas room. We were able to visit Rialto and Ruby beaches by day and relax in the lodge at night. The room was small but just right for 2 people. The shower was great with hot water and great water pressure. Wifi did not work the first day but did the next two days. But there was not a great need for wifi as we were getting away from the hustle and bustle of life. Forks is close to the lodge and we were able to go there to eat. We also had a fridge in the room. Thanks for a great stay."

- "Simple, charming, rustic, clean accommodations. Fun, unique decor both in our cabin and the main lodge. Bed was comfortable, water was hot and nature was calling! Wonderful stay." - "We really enjoyed our stay at Manitou Lodge. The location was absolutely perfect. It is close to Olympic National Park (both hiking and beaches) while also being quiet, peaceful, and secluded. We loved that it is nestled among majestic pines and away from major roadways/traffic. The wraparound porch on the lodge building was a great place for reading and relaxing, and the lodge itself had plenty of fun distractions after a day of hiking and exploring. I am so glad that we found this place!"

Guest Access:
All of our campsites have their own private parking spot (near site sign). You simply park at the designated spot and take a short walk to your site to set up. Located at Tent Site #16.

- "Overall a wonderful place! My daughter and i had a great time camping. The site was clean and the shelter was better than expected. Highly recommend." - "The A frame shelter was full of big black spiders,we spent like an hour cleaning and trying to kill them all. The door didn’t close enough, there were also other insects inside. I know it’s camping but at least when we use a plastic tent we’re protected from dangerous insects, there was no service to text the person in charge. So I don’t even know how they wanted people to venmo money for the showers. The shower water was extremely cold..and we waited hours to see if the heater would work… so we were not able to shower. There was a house / cabin but when we went no one was there to help or at least answer questions. We paid over $200 we thought we were paying for a safe place to sleep and at least a comfortable shower."

- "Thank you!" - "We enjoyed our 2 day stay at North Sunrise Studio, the place was well organized. Communication with the owner was great. Sizable backyard, perfect for barbecues and the fire pit was lovely. Our only complaint was the bathroom had a pretty awful smell when we first got there, coming from the drain of the shower. We also noticed there was some water behind the toilet (we think it was from the shower curtain not touching the floor all the way so some water leaks out.) Overall, we would stay there again. "

Originally built in 1970, our Forks WA Lodging is built around a classic lodge structure whose most striking feature is a huge vaulted-ceiling Great Room with a massive stone fireplace. The numerous couches and chairs in this room provide the space to be with others, and, at the same time, to be private.

- "It has a rustic charm. The great hall was lovely and had many interesting items to look at. We enjoyed drinking our coffee on the deck outside our room, and meeting the resident ducks and chickens, as well. We hope to be back someday!"
