- "This is a great gateway cabin to go skiing. We brought a couple kitchens items as we read in the reviews there was no colander for pasta. Otherwise no need to bring anything else." - "We had a lovely stay at this cabin, and it was very convenient to access the summit for skiing/snowboarding. We drove, so can't comment about walking to the summit. I think the listing said there might be a trail? It was an easy drive of just a couple minutes, but it might have been a bit of a walk. Cabin was great. Cozy with a warm fireplace, great kitchen that had everything we needed. No complaints! :)"

Located just one mile from the Summit at Snoqualmie Pass, the Mountain Home Cabin offers an ideal 'home base' for your mountain get away and adventures and is less than 1 miles off I90. This cabin offers a nice blend of a cozy rustic cabin with modern conveniences, updated finishes and furnishings.
The space
Kitchen/living/dining is a great room, open concept. The living room offers a propane stove as well as an electric fireplace. Take your pick and just flip the switch for instant warmth and ambiance. Large TV for streaming your favorite platform.
The sleeping loft offers two bedrooms separated by a sliding door. (See bedroom photos for complete details including a room and furniture layout.) There are two King beds that are super comfortable 14" thick memory foam mattresses, crisp linens, cozy comforters and tons of fluffy pillows. Additional sleeping includes a twin bed and a twin fold out bed upstairs and a full sized sofa sleeper and full-sized futon in the living room.
The kitchen offers everything you need to cook and serve a meal here including a full-sized stove and refrigerator (no dishwasher).
Gaze out the window at the falling snow or go out and play in it. When the snow clears you can access the property around the cabin and enjoy the fire-pit (unless there is a burn ban in effect).
We are one of a very few vacation rentals in the area that allows single night stays so you can get away from it all without spending a lot. Or, stay 7 days or longer and enjoy one of our extended stay discounts. Either way, you'll love your trip to the Snoqualmie Pass with its snowy white winters, sunny sky summers, green trees, jagged mountains, crystal blue alpine lakes and so much more.
Guest access
The entire cabin is yours throughout your stay. Parking for two vehicles on the driveway. When snow clears, we have more parking next to the house.
We're about 1 mile from Summit West and Central and about 2 miles from Hyak and Alpental. We are also about 1 mile from the services at the pass - The Commonwealth restaurant, Dru Bru, Pie for the People pizza and more.
Other things to note
No Smoking please
Quiet hours 10pm-7am in respect for neighbors.
Winter time access can change day to day and hour by hour. Road is plowed daily by the county and we clear the driveway for you. But it's very important that you are ready for winter driving from sometime in November/December when winter hits until March/April, depending on the year.
- "Loved our stay at this cozy little cabin. The chipmunks running around add to the ambience. Thank you for your hospitality!" - "This cabin met all of our needs with cozy comfort! Our family stayed here the night before my daughter's adventure, outdoor wedding nearby. We were mom, dad and 2 younger sisters of the bride, plus the groom and our granson who's 1. We all slept comfortably in amazingly comfy beds! There were plenty of soft blankets and pillows to accomodate a party of 7. In the morning as we were getting the bride ready, members of the bridal party and family stopped in to grab a snack or help move flowers and things to the site and we never felt too cramped. We were able to prepare coffee and food without any concerns. Everything we needed was right there. The internet and tv were great, plenty of outlets and light for hair and make up, and even a washer and dryer when we actually needed them. We had plenty of space, adequate heat and we all wished we could stay another night!! We thank you for a perfect place to stay right where we needed it. Your cabin is a cozy, comfy little gem! We will be back as we wished we could've spent more time there."

- "We had a good time." - "We had a great time! The pool table and foosball kept the kids entertained, and the location was fantastic. It's got old school charm." - "We came from Texas to visit family in Seattle and wanted a few days with a good chance to enjoy some snow. We definitely got snow! We luckily arrived just ahead of the best Dec. snowfall the area had seen in quite sometime. Our guys enjoyed snowboarding at the near by Summit Snow area and the ladies enjoyed staying cozy and trying a little snowshoeing at the cabin. I was a little worried by previous reviews about supplies and cleanliness, but the management has done a great job rectifying whatever happened in the past. We had plenty of towels, soaps, kitchen items, etc. I loved that housekeeping left us a brand new sponge for kitchen. I appreciated that. They were also very quick to respond to questions we had. While not new, everything was clean. The space was great for our group of 7 and we could have easily accommodated more. The kids and adults loved the pool and foosball tables. The woodstove made everything feel cozy. You will need to bring your own wood, and we were glad we did. We ended up being snowed in our second day and due to road conditions decided to leave a day early as we were worried about the roads getting worse (they did). If you are traveling in winter you definitely want 4 wheel drive or chains (they tell you in the description). This was the perfect snowy getaway and allowed us to enjoy the wonderful snow and then head back to Seattle and not have to contend with it the whole week. Definitely pack plenty of food and drinks as there isn't much near by. There is a convenience store near the ski resort and a couple of small restaurants. This is a great space for a small group or family and I am sure the area is just as beautiful in spring and summer. We loved the secluded feel of the area while still being fairly close to civilization. There are several trailheads nearby and the ski resort offers snowboarding, skiing, and I believe there is tubing nearby as well. We would definitely rent this cabin again!"

Thank you again." - "Was a perfect spot to stop for over night stay in that area. Hot tub was a plus! I appreciated having water cooler and fridge. They also left tea, coffee, and oatmeal which was much needed with it being some distance from food. Construction next door started at 7am on a Saturday, skill saw woke us up. You could hear everyone coming and going on porches but didn't hear anyone in rooms. Still a nice place to stay with the accomidations and price. Will be back!"

- "We came for the Jack and Jill marathon. The house was just a few minutes from the start, which made it so simple! The area is beautiful and very easy to access. The house was clean and had all the things we needed. There is some ambient noise from the highway, but it didn’t bother us at all. Communication with the host was easy and accurate." - "I think property needs a little updating with paint touch up and decor for the price we paid, BUT, location, check in/check out process, cleanliness, and the courteous and professional communication of the host were top notch. So glad we found this place."

- "Great cabin and location. Only issues we had were that none of the outlets worked in the master bedroom and we were not allowed to use the hot tub." - "Took the four year old up to hopefully see some snow the first night it snowed about 6 to 8 inches the cabin itself was really really great the beds were extremely comfortable I would suggest washing your dishes before you eat off of them but that’s pretty typical for any VRBO we did run into one issue and it was very easy to communicate with the property manager and the owner they resolved it as quickly as they could. The hot tub seemed clean the deck is huge. Overall it was just a really great trip. I would recommend this place to anyone looking!"

- "Clean, doesn't have stove, but has microwave and mini-fridge. Great for sleep and a hot shower after hiking or riding bikes..." - "This was a perfect solution for two people - a clean, cozy studio apartment with a fridge and microwave. We only needed it for one night, it worked out great. Super nice to be in the little neighborhood vs. the more touristy areas of the summit. Thanks for everything!" - "Clean and simple. Nice little bunk bed, giant TV with Netflix, near town. Owners were helpful and really really nice. To be fair, know that Snoqualmie is a picturesque ski town but it is on a major hwy and way loud. Nothing to eat except hot dogs and pizza. My only complaint is the unnecessarily shared bathroom during covid. This suite would be perfect for two snowboarders (not a couple) or someone just wanting to sleep for a night."

Would highly recommend any time during the year." - "Nice setting and accommodation. The hostess is a great communicator and most helpful. We would stay again." - "it was comfortable, cute and overall a really nice stay!" - "Communication was quick and clear. Smooth operation" - "The space was nice. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and even assume coffee, olive oil, etc. I knew ahead of time that's the walls were going to be thin per the listing but when I was in the bedroom I thought two people had suddenly entered my unit because they sounded so close. The door between the unit is hollow core and there aren't any rugs. Changing these might make a big difference?"

This eclectic, three-story cabin makes for a perfect ski retreat in Snoqualmie Pass, as it sits within a short walk of the lifts at Summit Central. Beautiful views of the mountains and snow-dusted evergreens seem to wait at every turn, with the best vistas on the deck off the living area and in the sleeping loft upstairs.
Crisp alpine air calls for comfort food, so feel free to utilize the kitchen to cook something warm and hearty. After an exhilarating day on the slopes, curl up in the living room and share stories of your adventures. Make some buttered popcorn, settle in on the sofa, and stream your favorite movies on TV. Downstairs, find an additional lounge area and a vintage Pac-Man arcade game to inspire friendly competition. Come summer, two kayaks are available for water adventures.
The winter months here are for skiing The Summit at Snoqualmie (less than half a mile), where you'll find 2,000 acres of skiable terrain, 24 lifts, and the most night skiing anywhere in the country. Summers are every bit as beautiful, whether you're hiking the Pacific Crest Trail (less than a mile), teeing off at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge (30 miles) or the Mt. - "Our family enjoyed staying over the weekend. In between hitting the slopes, we connected over puzzles and cozied up watching movies together." - "Cozy cabin with comfortable beds, a washer and dryer and other amenities that make this a great stay! The location couldn’t be better if you are headed to the slopes!" - "It's a beautiful cabin, plenty of space and everything you need for a long stay. I however think that it should be fumigated more often. We encountered quite a few spiders one of them (the biggest one) in the bed upstairs while we were sleeping. Which definitely ruined our last night. Also, the cabin lacks screens for the windows, I think it would be great to be able to breathe that fresh mountain air but given the bugs we decided not to open them. Other than that I think it was great."

Short 1 minute bike ride to the mountain where we picked up the shuttle for a 25 mile mountain bike (mostly downhill). Highly recommend. Also we loved all the games."

- "Close to Snoqualmie. Comfortable." - "Everything we needed was available. Close to sledding and ski resort. Cozy home with beautiful views. The only thing we recommend is access to cable. We couldn’t get on Netflix, which is a popular want nowadays and we were hoping to watch football playoffs. Some of us stayed home. There were lots of games to use, but I recommend adding chess and some updated games. We took our own chess and enjoyed playing all weekend by the amazing windows taking in the views. The best thing was all the kitchen accessories. High quality and everything I needed made it possible to enjoy home cooked meals I made."

Other Things to Note:
> IMPORTANT <
This cabin is currently listed for sale, so you might notice a "For Sale" sign on the property. Rest assured, no showings or property visits will take place during your stay, ensuring you’ll have complete privacy.
While there are some local grocery and food stores nearby, they offer limited selections and tend to be more expensive than major grocery stores. We recommend stocking up on essentials before your arrival to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. This will allow you to fully enjoy your time in the mountains without the need for long trips to restock supplies.
During the winter months, the roads can be slippery. We recommend that you have an AWD/4WD vehicle or bring chains with you. Our local road is plowed by the county, and we have a service that clears our driveway, but there may be times when snow and ice are still on the ground. During snowfall, it's common to see up to a foot of accumulation before the crew arrives. We provide a shovel in case you need to do some extra clearing between snowfalls.
Please remember that you’re staying in a house, not a hotel. We ask guests to please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on site 24/7.
Please note that we use a noise monitoring device in the home. It does NOT record actual sounds or conversations, it simply monitors the noise level (measured in decibels) in order to prevent parties.
Electricity Use
A daily electricity allowance of 75 kWh is included. This is more than enough for standard usage. Any excess will be billed at local utility rates and shared with guests after the stay.

- "What a great cabin to stay at! The place had plenty of room for all 8 of us to enjoy. Would definitely stay here again!" - "It has been a long past 6 months with family and work stuff happening. So it was nice to take a family break and bring the kids to the pass to go inner tubing. I decided it would be more relaxing for my husband and I to get a Vrbo to stay in so we wouldn’t have to drive so much! This cabin we stayed in was perfect and had enough room for our family of 6. I can’t remember how long it’s been since all our kids were getting along with each other and so happy! This was definitely much needed time to get away! The cabin was meant for a family vacation and it had so many great features about it! From the spacious rooms to the family game room! We didn’t need anything except buying food, but other than that we had everything we needed! I would highly recommend this cabin to others and rate it 5 stars!"

We have two cats that like to go outside so this is important. If you do show up with a pet that is not noted on the reservation we reserve our right to cancel your reservation. This is our full time home so we do appreciate your cooperation. If you are booked for a winter stay please check with WSDOT on road conditions and tire/chain requirements.
