We are literally one block from town and secluded on a quiet section of Sherman Avenue. The stairs leading into town are 100 yards away.

Start your day with an adventure, with coffee in bed or within a couple of blocks you'll have several cafes to chose from. After coffee, its a 10-15 minute walk to the beach.

You'll also want to check out the shops and have some wine or beer at the many wine tasting bars and brew pubs. Return to freshen up for dinner then walk back down and enjoy our local PNW cuisine. No problem if you get a little tipsy. Its an easy walk home.

No expense was spared in building our home and your studio.

You'll sleep soundly on a new Parklane king-size bed that actually splits into two twins. Just ask for us to split them. Its no problem.

The space is open, airy and partially sub-terrain. You'll like how it naturally maintains a pleasant temperature. Even though it is set back into the hillside you are elevated from the road providing a better view and sense of privacy.

You have your own private entrance and completely separate living quarters. You are not sharing your space with us.

We have a secret breezeway for you to store your bikes, boards, etc and a great place to let your wetsuits hang dry. We've also got a hot and cold water spigot out front to hose anything off.

Spacious with a great view of Mt. Adams and Underwood Cliffs, this two room house (open plan), plus bathroom, has all the amenities. Sit up bar, patio right off the great room, garden with juicy blackberry and strawberry patch. The bedroom is huge, big desk, closet. There is big tiled shower and washer/dryer in the bathroom.

Located on quiet acreage on the 'cusp of the country', the studio is walking distance to three wineries (Cathedral Ridge Marchesi and Hood River Wineries) as well as hiking and mountain biking trails in the world famous Post Canyon. It is also a 6 minute trip to the Columbia River Gorge and downtown Hood River.

The studio itself is three rooms (great room, bedroom and bathroom) totaling 880 square feet of open floor plan with large sliding glass doors opening on a 20 by 20 concrete patio with pastured views looking out on Mt. Adams and the cliffs of Underwood, Washington. The kitchen is an open floorplan with living area and loads of counters as well as a sit up island for entertaining. Hardwood floors, carpet and tile, dress the inside with vaulted ceilings to 13 feet high for a real feeling of spaciousness. Live like a local in Living Color! This is a newly remodeled and updated private mid-century one level home in a quiet, convenient neighborhood.

The home has comfortable, open and relaxed spaces decorated with warm artistic style and colorful art. The fenced back yard is great for BBQ and lounging on the beautiful post and beam covered patio and is a great alternative to the quiet, shady park across the street when you want a bit more privacy.

New mattress in the master bedroom queen bed and an antique double in the second bedroom are the ticket to sweet dreams for up to 4 people. The spacious mud/laundry room is great for equipment storage and full of my cookbook collection. The bright kitchen is fully stocked with gourmet cooking/serving supplies new appliances for cooking up a storm as this is our private home in the fall, winter, and spring.
There are lots of books, CD's and DVD's and over 300 movies in the house library to enjoy on your computer or our small TV.

We allow pets at pet friendly homes only with prior approval and a $15/night/pet, pet fee. Pets are not permitted on the bedding or furniture and must never be left at the home alone unless they are crated/kenneled.

- "We usually plan a week in Hood River (coming from Bend) and we are so happy to have found this place! It was perfect for us and had everything we needed for the week, even the 2nd bedroom made for a nice office for my husband. I am not sure I would call it "walkable" to downtown, but certainly bike friendly. Also would suggest they add a grill to the property. The listing had "grill" listed but I think that meant the indoor gas range ;) Either way - just pointing those two things out for future renters! Hope to come back next summer!"

The space
The FRONT door opens onto your private space. The barn door separates it from the main house for privacy but there is sound transfered through the door where I live , cook etc.. There is a cozy, sunny bedroom with AC/Heating, clean bathroom, and a kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, coffee and tea as well as a dining table and extra chairs. There is an eheater on the kitchenette wall if needed.

There is parking on the street. It is best to park west of the stairs and not in front of my neighbors driveway across the street. He has hit someone's car before.

a dresser, smart TV and access to the back yard via another sliding glass door.
The full bathroom has a vanity with double sinks to make it easier for couples when getting ready for a night out on the town.

Located on a private, dead end road, with plenty of off street parking in our large driveway/parking area. This suite looks out toward a small garden area and has designated parking in front of the garden.
