My Tiny Cabin is located on 2.3 forested acres in a rural setting close to Portland and wine country. My home is located on the same property but trees and space in between the two provide privacy. A ladder takes you to the upstairs loft with a queen bed and a skylight for a view of the treetops. A futon that folds into a comfortable full sized bed is located downstairs. Ground level, pristinely clean very spacious studio with large windows has an open floor design and relaxing feel. Very dog friendly as our dogs saw a water dish full and ready for them after a 6 hour drive and some treats right next to it! Accommodated our three small miniature poodles, my wife and I, and my dad very comfortably. We even saw some fruit infused organic water in the fridge when we opened it and it was delicious! Also some chocolates and sparkling water next to he bed. There was even some extra toiletries in the bathroom that people commonly forgot, I know I have in the past lol. As a traveler myself, I understand the importance of a comfortable stay while visiting family and friends, or traveling for business. This newly remodeled townhouse has all the amenities you need including: self-check-in, high-speed WiFi, a flexible and spacious working area, cable TV, en suite rooms with king and full-sized beds, fresh linens and more. The kitchen is fully stocked with essentials for cooking a healthy meal at home and the bathroom always has fresh towels and soap to stay fresh.

In true townhouse fashion, the entryway is accented with stairs that lead you up to the main living room and balcony, kitchen and guest bathroom. Follow the second set of stairs up to the third floor where you can take your pick from the master en suite bedroom with a comfortable king bed or the second bedroom also with a full-size bed and bathroom. Both bedrooms are equipped with blackout curtains for added privacy and comfort.

The Neighborhood:
The townhouse is located in a quiet complex in the Murrayhill area. It's convenient location offers a variety of cafes, restaurants and stores close by to choose from.

Safeway is located directly across the street as well as Planet Fitness and a 24 Hour Fitness for those who want to stay active while here. Additionally, Starbucks, Walgreens, Five Guys, Cafe Murrayhill, McMenamins and other restaurants and cafes are all reachable on foot no more than 10-15 minutes away. Washington Square Mall is also located about 10-15 minutes away and offers a variety of department stores, specialty shops and additional food options.

Portland downtown is only 12 miles from Murrayhill and takes between 20 to 30 minutes by car depending on traffic.

For those visiting friends or family working nearby at Nike or Intel, it's about a 10-15 minute drive or Uber/Lyft to both headquarters and on quiet routes avoiding morning traffic.

How to Get Around:
We would recommend hiring a car during your stay at Murrayhill, to ensure you can access all of Portland and the surrounding businesses with ease. For those uncomfortable driving, Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area at all times. Public transport is available nearby, but to keep your commutes short and easy we would recommend traveling by car during your stay.

I am a world traveler and my home showcases a bit of my global collection as well as my vintage style. My home is quiet, 3 blocks from the bus stop, and a short walk to parks and a small convenience store. Grocery stores and restaurants are a 30-45 minutes walk or about 5 minutes by car. Downtown Portland is seven miles; wineries, shopping malls, and gorgeous countryside are within minutes! Awesome location if you have a car but if you have time, you can walk or use public transportation .

The space
This is a medium sized bedroom with excellent lighting and a ceiling fan. The shared bathroom has a bath/shower, skylight, and large vanity. Comfy queen bed accommodates one generously but there is room for two. ( note: extra fee for more than one person and other guests/visitors use the bathroom so courtesy limit of 20 minutes is requested )

You will only have access to this bedroom and the shared bath. This room reservation is intended for a quiet sleeping space because other guests stay in adjacent rooms. Other

Guests have full access to the whole house and yards (excludes master bedroom), from the quite fully equipped Office with printer for the traveling professional to the open floor plan with a breakfast nook, dining room and sunken living room. Once upstairs you have 1 fully furnished bedroom with a plush chair for comfortable reading, 1.5 private bathroom that’s all yours. Your Bedroom and Bathroom are private to you and only you for the duration of your stay. Guests are welcome to make themselves at home and explore the grounds and enjoy the rest of the House, Kitchen, BBQ, Patios, Fire Pit and Laundry Room. This guest room is on the second floor of our home. It is comfortably furnished with a queen size bed that I have been told by several of our previous guests that it is more comfortable then their own bed lol :-)

There is a keypad lock on the bedroom door that you will get the code to after making your reservation.

This guest room has its own mini fridge with a freezer, microwave, Brita filtered water pitcher, glasses, coffee maker with coffee, liquid creamer packs and mugs! In between each guest we make the bed with clean bedding, clean the room and put clean towels on the bed for our guests to use.

The shared spaces in our home for our guests to use are the full bathroom (upstairs), half bathroom (downstairs). My kitchen is not considered a shared guest space but I will let guests use it if they respect the fact that it’s my kitchen that me and my family use throughout the day and it may not be spotless every second of the day. Hello! We are a 5 minute walk from Elmonica Max Station which can lead to Portland/Airport and all of the trademarks in Oregon! We have a great park just across the street and a safe neighborhood to take walks in. We are close (~10 min) to the highway, Costco, Cedar Hills, and Tanasbourne. If you have a car, we have plenty of free street parking!

I do have a cute puppy and she is respectful of guests!

The space
The common living space is for everyone to use. We have TV with subscriptions, table for games and dining table for you to eat!

Generally everything in the kitchen is for everyone unless specifically specified! You will have your own fridge shelf and pantry space.

Our mail can be accessed through a community key on the knob of our pantry. The mail box is out towards the left when you walk out!

As for trash, the host will be taking out the trash. In the chance of it being filled up, please put it on the balcony :)

My home has been great for folks relocating for business, longer term bookings are preferred and my past guests have stayed on three to six+months. Please note you must have had your Covid Vaccines and I will need to see copy of your proof. The queen size Tempur-Pedic bed is heaven to sleep on. Super clean quiet home. Wi-Fi. Street parking. We are 3 miles to Nike campus and close to Intel, PCC, Hwy 26, the Max line and Portland. 30 minutes away from PDX International Airport.

The space
~I have two Chinese Crested dogs that are like my kids, Very clean and loving and smart. I also care for dogs mostly small to medium for daycare and sometimes boarding. All are clean and sweet but you must know dogs and love dogs not just tolerate them....

My home is a basic ranch 1976 and is 1500 sq ft. The guest room is next to the guest bathroom. Blackout shades. It is a smaller room with good closet space, one dresser and a wall table with shelf underneath and the Tempurpedic bed with cozy bedding.
My kitchen is small and there is not allot of storage nor room in my cabinets. There is one cabinet (2 shelves) for you to use, some refrigerator space but no freezer room.
You keep bathroom clean weekly and I provide the cleaning supplies for the house. You agree to wash your sheets weekly, my duvet cover every 2 weeks and keep the room vacuumed and dusted monthly.
Large private fenced yard with two huge raised garden beds, I plant veggies to share in season in front and back yard. I have chickens they are very friendly and have a beautiful coop.
Im close to Nike Campus, Intel, Hwy 26, PCC Rock Creek, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, New Seasons, Streets of Tansaborne and many restaurants and shopping. There are many vineyards in the area. Garden vineyards is so close and a favorite. Close to Portland, yet experience the tranquility of small town living. Free WiFi. Superb location -near to everything!

I'm into Organic food and gardening. There are doggies around all the time and I'm a Doggie Care provider to fur friends for their parents vacation and day care, so you must love dogs! All are always extremely clean, well mannered and very friendly. If you do not like dogs touching you or touching dogs this is not for you...Two live here full time, (not barkers)they are Chinese Cresteds and they wear the coolest clothing to keep them warm in the winter. My little fur friends~
Please note because this is a minimum 30 days stay and longer...I expect you to be clean conscious with my bedding, ie wash sheets weekly and bathroom such as the shower/bath, toilet, sink area, vacuum, dust your room at last once a month. I can do all this for you for a fee $100 extra a week for the bathroom, sheets, vacuum and dust schedule.
~House rules or additional info is a must read and please acknowledge.

Other things to note
Tea, coffee is always available to guests for your first day. Long term guests need to buy their own coffee/tea, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner etc.

Guests need to keep the guest bathroom clean and have all their own personal bathroom supplies.

Nighttime will be quiet after 11pm then please use headphones in your room if using laptops music etc.

I do have my daughters and family in my other spare room from time to time.

The condo is in a condo community on a private street. It is all new on the inside, with a kind of modern post-industrial vibe. The room has brand new carpet and the window faces west. There is 1 closet. Boxes and a bike could be stored in the garage. There is a new washer and dryer in the unit. The bathroom has a tall countertop (good for tall people) and a bathtub. There is also a full linen closet in the bathroom.

Nice place to stay and explore Portland Area. Mount Hood is about 2 hours away and the beautiful Oregon coast is 1.5 hour drive.

My home is a spacious tri level with plenty of living space inside and out.
Updates and global decor give my house a rich worldly vibe that welcomes everyone to this quiet suburban refuge.Guests also love my outdoor patio with fire pit and forested, large backyard.I live in a great location with close commute to downtown Portland, community parks, shopping malls, and 8 wineries all within a 30 minute or less. Bus stop is 2 blocks and walking park trails within 4 blocks. Very convenient!

The space
You will have a comfy king bed, small personal fridge, and bathroom to yourself. This basement room has a ceiling fan, TV for DVD's, an iron and ironing board, and small closet. The very spacious bedroom is listed for one, but can easily accommodate two. ( extra per person fee).

This reservation only includes basement bedroom and bathroom. It does not include laundry room, family room, kitchen, or any second or third floor areas. Ask host for any special requests.

I may not be there, but will have someone to meet you and be available for questions, problems, or any concerns you may have.

Spacious room with comfy queen bed & connected bath, west of Portland. Self-check-in and kitchenette in room for added convenience. Tea, coffee, cream, Oregon hazelnuts anyone? Blackout curtains keep room dark for sleep or Netflix indulgence - or keep 'em open to enjoy dogwood tree outside your window.

The space
You’ll have all you need here for a satisfying experience, whether it’s business or pleasure that has you traveling. Whatever way the wind takes you, there’s something wonderful to see. Outstanding daytrips: west to the Pacific Coast, north to Mt. St. Helens (which erupted in 1980), east to the Columbia River Gorge or Mt. Hood snow skiing, or south to Silver Falls State Park, and more. Photographers, professional and amateur alike, love this area! Every direction provides hiking, beautiful scenery, and of course, the Portland area is well-known for its great food, microbrews and music. We’re 11 miles from Portland airport (PDX), with the Willamette waterfront and downtown festivals only 6 miles away.

Nice, private bed and bath in quiet, suburban ranch-style home. Furnished with comfortable, queen bed, desk, dresser, recliner, new TV with many stations and apps (guest access to household Netflix), large closet, ensuite minifridge, microwave, Keurig and electric kettle, ceiling fan and area heater. Got some light work to do on your laptop? Use the comfortable recliner and laptop lap pad (provided) as an alternative to the desk. You can even listen to music on the TV while you work.

If you’re eating in your room, you’ll have real dishes and flatware to use. No eating out of cartons necessary. Soiled dishes go into a bin so you can easily keep them out of your way. When it's convenient, place the bin containing used dishes on the washer and your host will get them back to you, dishwasher clean.

Only for 7+ day bookings: Use of large washer and dryer for one load of laundry per week is included with bookings of 7 days or longer.

Self-check-in is via a side gate in the fence on the uphill side of the house. (In pictures) There is convenient, free, street parking around the home, and only a few yards from your room. Freeway access is within a couple miles.

Public transportation, TriMet, bus stop is 0.2 miles from the house, but it is more comfortable for most people to have a vehicle while staying in this particular location. Folks are out for walks, rain or shine, but for most shopping and sightseeing, your own car is a good idea.

Two blocks walk to Burgerville, Plaid Pantry or Chinese restaurant. New Seasons or Trader Joes within a few miles. Lots of lovely yards, plants and trees to enjoy on neighborhood walks, or wind along a greenway trail between properties.

During your stay
Preferred communication method is via Airbnb messaging, even when present in the house. Your host works from a home office within and often beyond business hours. Your understanding and support of the situation is much appreciated. For example, you may hear my voice from the far end of the house and think it easy to ask a quick question only to discover you have interrupted a Zoom meeting.

That said, we enjoy meeting and visiting with our guests - and - the reality of day-to-day life doesn't always make it an option, for the family or for guests. We completely understand and sometimes use a quick phrase like "Time is tight at the moment..." We hope you will be comfortable using such a phrase and/or hearing it when needed. If the stars align and we get in some visiting - great! If our comings and goings are totally opposite, that's great, too.

Other things to note
The cat you probably noticed in the pictures is named Zigz, often called Z. If you leave your door open, or closed but not clicked shut, Z takes that as an invitation and is likely to push the door open to satisfy his curiosity. Animals are not allowed in guest rooms to increase the likelihood that guests with sensitivities will have sanctuary there. We’ve had guests here with allergies who were perfectly comfortable. That said, you are encouraged to consider in advance if this might be an issue for you. Book elsewhere if you have any doubt; we understand and would hate to have your time here spoiled in any way.

We are a family of adults - medical professionals, musicians, teachers, and animal-lovers. Laura works from a home office and is usually on the premises upstairs but always available via text message. Everyone else lives downstairs. Everyday life happens here, so you may hear activity around the home. Our guests might come across family members or family friends at the side gate or laundry room. We are all respectful and accommodating with one another, guests included of course. Since the pandemic we have continued with casual social distancing and guests do not have access the kitchen. Downstairs is off limits to guests, both inside and out.
