Our house, Sisters and our Tollgate Community is a very friendly place for families, couples, and single people. Amenities like a swimming pool (seasonal), tennis court, and bike and walking paths await you.

This unique architecturally designed house is situated on half acre lot, surrounded by beautiful Ponderosa pine trees and backs up to a Nature Conservancy, then forest land for privacy. There is a drive-through carport and covered entry as you enter the two-level home.

The house is a split-level design. When you enter you can go upstairs to access the living areas or downstairs for bedrooms and bathroom. The upper level has an open dining/living area with a wood stove, kitchen, vaulted wood ceiling, cathedral windows, sun room, and a large deck with comfortable furniture. There is a sofa and chair in the living room (new spring 2020). The kitchen table seats 4 and there are 3 bar stools in the sun room facing the kitchen.

The lower level has 2 bedrooms each with queen-sized beds and a bathroom. There are dual-controlled heated mattress pads in each of the bedrooms to keep you cozy warm during the cold months. An additional ground level deck as you enter the home with comfortable furniture is nice for morning coffee. There is a gas barbecue available for spring, summer and fall use. Stacked firewood is on-site for the wood stove in the living room. The house has a new (2017) mini-split heating and cooling system upstairs. This will keep you cool in the summer months and warm in the winter months. The downstairs bedrooms have baseboard heaters.

The western style town of Sisters is 2 miles away, which offers many small shops, restaurants and a movie theater.

There are miles of mountain biking and hiking trails that go through the scenic Deschutes National Forest (just beyond your back yard). There is a walking/biking trail one block from the cabin that goes to Sisters. The trail is about one mile long to reach Sisters high school.

In the winter months, skiers can choose to drive 20 minutes to family-friendly Hoodoo, or travel one hour to world-class Mt. Bachelor. The sno-park offers tubing, snowmobile rides, snowshoeing, etc.

- "The fireplace was great for relaxing in the evening. There is a squirrel/bird feeder in the back and we observed various gray squirrels and a mountain cottontail by it. We were there March 3-5 and there was still considerable snow. So no deer to be seen. The hot tub at Glaze Meadow was nice to sit in after cross country skiing, but the steam room was even better! " - "For our Christmas weekend stay, we were looking for a cozy place in a beautiful setting (woods and lots of snow) and we found it ! The house was clean, well-equipped (including a nice fireplace with a great supply of firewood), and relatively close to the GMRC (where we enjoyed the swimming pool, steam room, and hot tub). If you have small children, keep in mind that there is a rather steep staircase in the house (we had to watch our 3-year old rather closely as he was very fond of that staircase). The Wifi was great, and all appliances we used during our stay were in good order. We would definitely stay again and recommend to our friends !"

Returning home to cook in the fabulously appointed kitchen or grill on the spacious patio. The kitchen is stocked with all of your cooking needs. Wind down in the new hot tub or spa-like baths and take in a movie on the flat screen with surround sound while enjoying a fire.

There are board games, books and DVD's for all ages and vinyl records with a turntable for those evening you want to stay in. Follow all of this with a restful nights sleep on all new beds. This is THE place!

**The garage is not available to guests and we do not provide bicycles. BBR does not permit motorcycles beyond the entrance gates to the Ranch. This was a good fit for us. Six adults, two children under 10, and one infant. The home is newly built so very modern and clean. There is plenty of dishware, silverware, pans, etc. in the kitchen. There are towels for use with the hot tub. The hot tub is located on a large wrap around patio that has a table and chairs for pleasant outdoor eating and relaxing. The home is located about a 10 minute walk from the Glaze Meadow Rec Center/Pool and about a 15 minute walk to the South Meadow pool. Both walks are an easy and enjoyable way to get to the pools. The pictures and descriptions in the rental listing do a great job of portraying what the house looks like. We had a very comfortable experience and are very happy to have found this house for our growing family."

- "We stayed in this lovely, huge house for a week very comfortably with 13 people who flew in from different parts of the country. All of the extra amenities really made it easy, like the extra fridge and multiple washers and dryers. We loved using the bikes and we biked to at least one pool per day. I can't imagine doing Black Butte any other way now. The outdoor ping pong table was a huge hit with our crew as well. We would definitely stay here again!"

Beautiful log home 3 miles outside of downtown Sisters, OR. The home has 1 master bedroom/Bath on the main floor and 2 beds on the 2nd floor with a 1 3/4 bath. The spacious backyard has a very large entertaining deck with a hot tub! The back of the property backs up the the Willamette Nat'l Forest and plenty of hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking , trail running, dirt bikes and walking dogs!
The property is 5 miles from Black Butte and close to Hoodoo, area lakes and the Metolius River!

- "This is a wonderful home in a great location. Tom, the friendly host, quickly responded to our questions about the washing machine and air conditioning. The log home was clean, spacious and comfortable within everything we needed to feel right at home. He even had a hen house on the one acre property so we had fresh eggs for breakfast. The location is private with a wilderness preserve right behind the house. We had a wonderful morning hike on trails through the woods there. Our 3 dogs romped free and we’re in seventh heaven as we’re we. We’ll definitely be back!"

Sit back and relax. If you love the outdoors and sitting in a pine tree forest, you'll love this. It's a short walk on a beautiful trail through the forest to Sisters, buy a bakery fresh donut or a fine meal at many of the city’s fine restaurants. The common area at Tollgate has miles of paved biking trails, a swimming pool, a basketball court, and tennis court. Hiking, fishing, and boating are just a couple miles away at Suttle Lake and the Metolius River. The house is open and airy. You face the forest through windows over 20 feet across and two stories high. It's a beautiful way to sit inside comfortably and see the forest against a magnificent skyline. The whole house is yours’s. There is also a nice patio outside to comfortably sit and visit with friends, enjoy a nice drink and breath in fresh mountain air. The garage is however locked and not available. The best way to reach me is by email. It's a nice quiet neighborhood. There are miles of paved biking and walking trails next to the roads so it's always safe for kids and pets. Dogs must be on a leash while in the neighborhood. The hiking and bike trail into Sisters is just a couple hundred feet away. It's a nice walk in the forest. In the summer there is a nice swimming pool and there is a nice basketball court and tennis court available year-round. There are miles and miles of off-road biking trails through the woods right outside the neighborhood.

Our cabin is a centrally located within Black Butte Ranch. The property is located on a corner lot at the end of a quiet road no through traffic. Surrounded by large Ponderosa Pines, the cabin also has some filtered views of Black Butte summit from the front. As a renter of our cabin you will have free access to Black Butte Ranches many amenities. The property is conveniently located for easy access to bike paths and is within walking distance to popular Glaze Meadow Recreation Center and Aspen Lake. Glaze Meadow Recreation Center includes indoor and outdoor pools, outdoor hottub, spa, fitness area with cardio and weight lifting equipment, tennis courts, basketball court, bocci ball, pickle ball, and playgrounds. The bikepath off the back of the cabin also connects renters to 18 miles of bikepaths throughout the ranch. While on the bikepaths you will discover three other outdoor pools named Lodge Pool, Paulina Pool, and South Meadow Pool. You will also discover tennis courts, play grounds, basketball courts, horseback riding, fly fishing, two golf courses, and small lakes within the ranch. Paddle boards, canoes, and kayaks can be rented at the lodgepool near the lakeside.

The cabin is a two story 1,237 square feet cabin with three bedrooms and two bathrooms and is tastefully decorated. One bedroom has a king bed, one bedroom has a queen bed, and one bedroom has a bunkbed with a full on the bottom and a twin bed on top. The king bed is located on the first floor while the other two bedrooms are located upstairs.

There are two bathrooms, one located on the first floor and the other located upstairs. Both bathrooms have showers while the upstairs has a bathtub.

One of the nicest features of the cabin are the two decks that overlook large greenspaces, ponderosa pines, and the bikepath that leads to recreation areas. The first floor deck is the larger of the two and is located near the kitchen. The larger deck is well appointed with a gas propane BBQ, outdoor table, and patio seating for eight. At night, patio has banister lighting that can be plugged in creating a magical ambiance while watching the stars. The upper deck is located off the upstairs bedroom with the queen bed. The upper deck is a great spot to overlook the surroundings or escape to read a book.

The cabin is equipped with two flat screen tv's (one in the living room and one in the bunkbed rooom). The cabin also has a video library, wifi, and cable.

The cabin is within easy access outside the ranch to world class fly fishing on the Metolius River, family skiing at Hoodoo Ski Bowl, water sports at Suttle Lake, Shopping at Sisters, and hundreds of miles of hiking trails around Mt. Washington and Three Finger Jack Wilderness Areas, Big Lake, Black Butte, and throughout the Deschutes National Forest. Willing to travel within an hour from the cabin can take you to Mt. Bachelor, Bend, Smith Rock, dozens of mountain golf courses, lakes and waterfalls.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all new stainless steel appliances, and there is a folding table and chairs if additional seating is required. The bedroom downstairs has a King bed, a full bath with shower, and TV with cable and a DVD/VCR player. A sliding glass door accesses the back deck and hot tub. A half bathroom is in the hall. On the second floor are two bedrooms; one with a Queen and one with two twins. A full bath and laundry area are in the hall. On the third level is the loft which has two sets of bunks and a small play area. Garage has space for all of your gear.

This spacious home offers a large primary with en suite bathroom, expansive kitchen with 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators, and a double oven with gas range. The wood burning fireplace in the large main living space has propane assist for easy fire starting. The two tables in the main living area mean you don't have to clean up your puzzle to have dinner! The upstairs has one king bed, a room with two twins, and a closet with a crib. The loft area has a TV room, a twin day bed with a twin trundle, and a queen bed up a ship's ladder. All bedrooms have blackout curtains. There are bikes of multiple sizes available for use in the garage. If you catch a snowy weekend, the sledding hill directly behind the house can't be beat! The house is just a half hour drive from Hoodoo. There is a full size washer/dryer unit available next to the kitchen. One of our favorite activities is walking to the natural spring just down the hill by Paulina pool then across the wooden bridge to the meadow for mountain views and maybe some animal sightings! Year round amenities on the ranch include over 20 miles of paved bike trails, multiple dirt nature trails for peaceful walks, an indoor pool with water slide, two outdoor hot tubs, and restaurants. Mountain House Wayside has a Craftsman decor and a lodge style warmth just 12 minutes outside of Sisters, Oregon . The lower floor suite is dedicated to only one guest designed to be rented on a monthly basis. This three-room suite consists of a family room, two bedrooms and private bath. Rooms are furnished with comfortable queen-sized beds and all the amenities of home.

MOUNTAIN VIEW WAYSIDE IS ONLY AVAILABLE ON A MONTHLY BASIS.

The space
This space is perfectly suited for a single professional who is transitioning to Central Oregon and needing a comfortable place to establish yourself while looking for permanent housing. There is no door separating this downstairs suite from the remainder of the house. I spend most of my time on the upper floor where the kitchen, great room and master suite is located.

Guest access
Guests can enter either through the garage or the front entry (shared with me). The upper level is available for quiet reading, fireplace luxuriating, and deck access with stunning mountain views.

During your stay
My house can provide a professional man or woman with comfortable temporary housing while transitioning to the area. Sisters is 12 minutes from the Mountain House Wayside while Redmond is 30 minutes away and Bend is 45 minutes away. It is a fairly easy commute, even in the winter months. Monthly rental arrangements are month by month only.

Our Custom Made Forest Log Cabin is just on the outskirts of Sisters, Oregon. The Cabin is in a quiet forest neighborhood with a river nearby. The house is shared with the host and you will have two private bedrooms along with a private bathroom. During your stay, be sure to visit some of the nearby waterfalls or lakes, take a hike, or go skiing! There are also plenty of fun things to do in town while you are here. No matter your reason for visiting, you’ll be glad you did.

The space
Guests share the cabin with the host who stays in a separate loft area upstairs.

Guests have access to two private bedrooms and a full private bathroom. The first bedroom includes a double bed as well its own television with Netflix access, and the second bedroom contains a single bed; both rooms have a closet and drawers available. The bathroom has a bathtub as well as a washer and dryer available for use.

Shared spaces with the host include the kitchen, dining area, and living room. Guests are welcome to use any of the kitchen appliances along with cookware and dishes, etc., and there is a warm fireplace in the living room to sit near and relax.

This unit is a comfortable place to relax after a full day of playing. The bed is a comfortable Queen with a pillow top mattress and soft luxurious bedding. There is space to store and hang your clothing and would be a convenient place to use as a home office if traveling for business.
The bathroom is a wonderful room and the walk-in shower provides a spa-like feel.

We have a no pet policy due to the unit being used for a portion of the year by a family with severe pet allergies. Because pet dander of any kind can create breathing issues to this family member we do not make exceptions. We thank you for respecting the needs of our family.
