Welcome to the little Chalet in the beautiful Oregon woods! This charming private guest house on 4 acres is just 2 miles from downtown Grants Pass and 3 minutes from grocery stores and shopping yet you feel as if you are out in the country far removed from anything and everything.
The guest house is up the hill about a hundred feet from the Owners home and is designed to be private.
Nestled against the base of one of the foothills surrounding our beautiful valley you truly feel peace and quiet while observing nature.

Quiet cozy guest chalet is newly built and equipped for a relaxing comfortable stay ideally for couples or small families.
The chalet is built up the hillside so features 2 levels of 3 to 4 steps up to the next level.
Main floor is living room/sleeping space with queen sleeper sofa with extra pillow topper for added comfort. Also has comfy rocker chairs. *New* Living room now has electric fireplace for cozy evenings.
Second level is kitchen and sleeping loft access. Kitchen has 2 burner stove top, and Cuisinart air fryer/ baker/ toaster/roaster. Fully equipped with dish washer and fridge and coffee maker. Pots pans, utensils all provided.
Third level has King bed in the master with the full bathroom on the same landing.
Both beds are protected with mattress protectors.
There is a sleeping loft that is carpeted and has a super twin sleeping floor futon with sheets, blankets, sleeping bags and pillows. Look in the steamer trunk for bedding supplies.
Deck has outside sitting space under a gazebo.
Spa towels and outdoor blankets for chilly weather are provided.
T.V. Is internet based via satellite. Samsung TV network is provided and works great. There is also a DVD player and some movies provided. There are also a couple of red box movie rental machines nearby.
Prepare to unplug and enjoy nature!

There is a seasonal creek the runs the length of the lower end of the property. It usually runs late October thru mid June and is dry in the summer.

Wildlife you will see are Gray Squirrels, a variety of birds including woodpeckers, swallows and a pair of Red Tail Hawks that have a nest up the hill. You will also likely see deer, wild turkeys, Jack Rabbits and occasionally a herd of Elk moves around the area.

Some of the unique features of our home are; a large kitchen island with seating, open shelving that wraps around the kitchen, turf putting green in the backyard space (putters & balls provided), shiplap vaulted ceilings & concrete floors throughout the entire home, large sliding barn doors, a walk-in wall tiled shower & a cozy King Bedroom complete with a TV & walk-in closet. With an additional twin sleeper sofa bed located in the living room. If you have any questions about the home & overall space feel free to message us!

The garage attached to the home is NOT accessible for parking in, because it is the designated laundry room.

We have comfortable parking for 1 standard car, if you are towing or have more cars than that, message us and we will try to accommodate your needs.

We have a strict NO SMOKING policy on the property & in the home. If home is left with any smell of smoke (including marijuana) you will be charged an additional deep cleaning fee.

The property has 2 homes on it & the parking spaces/area & driveway are shared with other guests.

As shown on the map & also noted on the listing (potential for traffic noise) the home is located right in town - we do provide ear plugs, portable fans, & a sound machine for anyone who may be extra sensitive to road noise.

LANDSCAPING - We have a landscaper come once a week to the property to maintenance all landscaping on Tuesdays after 10am.

Our Tiny House and Tiny Cabin are also nearby, each with its own private space and setting. Book multiple cabins together for gatherings or friend retreats. Parking is shared but clearly signed for each guest.
There is a Shared ( with the other Tiny house nearby) wood fire pit w/ seating area, movie projector, stock tank pool, BBQ & common area for you and the other Tiny house guests to enjoy. We work hard to make sure each cabin has its own space, but the cabins are in close proximity to each-other.

We respect your privacy. The cottage is on our property, home to our non-profit alpaca rescue. You may see us tending to the animals or working around the grounds. Many questions can be answered by going to your cabin guide. Guests can also book a private alpaca meet-and-feed experience during their stay (donation required & appointment necessary).

Respect Our Home: This is our home, not a hotel. Please respect the cabins, other guests, and clearly marked private areas.

Children: For safety and comfort, we do not accommodate children.

Pets: Pet-friendly, but all dogs & service animals MUST be leashed outdoors to protect our free-range alpacas and chickens. Guests are responsible for pets at all times.

Shared Spaces: Some amenities (wood fire pit, BBQ, stock tank pool, outdoor movie projector) are shared with nearby tiny homes. Please be mindful of others.

Water & Laundry: We’re on a small-producing well; guest laundry is not available. Please conserve water.

Quiet Hours: 10 PM – 7 AM for a peaceful forest retreat.

Alpaca Rescue: Guests are welcome to see and hand-feed the alpacas over the fence during their stay—just follow the posted guidelines to keep the animals safe. For those who want a closer experience, supervised meet-and-greet sessions can be scheduled. These special encounters help support our non-profit, and we kindly ask for a donation to the rescue in exchange.

All guests must be registered on the reservation—no unregistered visitors are permitted on the property. Located on the corner of historic 6th and G Street in downtown Grants Pass, this one bedroom loft is walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. The loft features an open concept bedroom and an open concept kitchen and living area, perfect for entertaining. The entire space is available for guest use. There is a laundry facility. It is in a common area, used by three other lofts. These facilities are coin-operated. The loft is located on the second floor, accessible via stairway only.
The Rogue River is just a few blocks away. The area abounds with activities for the outdoor enthusiast; river rafting, fishing, hiking, and cycling are all within a short drive. Crater Lake National Park and the Oregon Caves National Monument are an easy drive, as is the Redwood National Forest. Wine lovers enjoy the easy access to the Southern Oregon Wine Trail, which starts in Grants Pass and continues through the Rogue and Applegate valleys. Grants Pass is also home to a number of craft breweries, bottle shops, and taprooms, all within walking distance.
With our central location, a car is almost unnecessary. There is a city bus has a stop just outside the loft.

- "We loved our stay at the Loft Unit 115 (a complimentary upgrade from Helene). It is a very spacious, tastefully decorated, two-bedroom apartment with large open kitchen and living room area. The large bathroom has two sinks, plenty of beautiful white towels, and the owner thoughtfully provides Aveda shampoo and conditioner as well as Gilchrist and Soames soaps. The beds/pillows are comfortable and the linens are very nice. The two bedrooms are both open to a large central hall, so it wouldn't be a great place for two couples; perfect for a couple with a child. It was perfect for us. It is very centrally located. We walked to shops and restaurants and to the setting-off point for the Jet Boat Excursions. A short (50 minutes) drive takes you to Caves National Monument. Another short drive (30 minutes) takes you out into the beautiful Applegate Valley with its many wineries and tasting rooms. As for the restaurants, we highly recommend the Twisted Cork, which is by far the best restaurant in town and is one block from the apartment. We would stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Grants Pass. Thank you, Helene."

The space
you will have use of the living space, kitchen, a shelf in my refrigerator which will have breakfast items for you as well. if you need more refrigerator space i can provide that. there is also a bbq you can use in the backyard.
you will have your own sink and medicine cabinet in the bathroom. i can make the room up with 1 single bed, 2 single beds (a single bed and a cot that has a memory foam mattress) or 1 super comfortable inflatable queen bed, so you have all these options. please let me know which one will work the best for your visit. there is a tv in your room (i have directv) and a speaker for your phone/music. i provide wifi. there is an a/c unit in the room for those hot summer temps* it also has ceiling fan, standing fan and a small evaporative cooler for the more milder temp days.
i would like to disclose that during quarantine i got a kitten. so now i have a hypo-allergenic 3 pound yorkie , an outdoor cat, a caged hedgehog and now have added a kitten to the household. the animals do not have access to the room but will be in the shared living space, in case you are allergic to cats wanted to let you know.

I will give you your welcome tour and then we may or may not see each other depending on how busy you are. I try to give you your space in the early mornings so you can get to your adventures without interruptions!

Home is located in a very quiet neighborhood. I live alone in the home with no privet entrance, sorry. However, you will have a privet room, full use of entire house, kitchen, laundry room two dining areas, large living room, TV with Netflix, Hulu (Guest logins). Wi-Fi. Nice back yard with Grill, Fire Pit & covered patio facing east, Bluetooth speaker so evenings on the deck are fantastic, all too yourself. Surrounded by Trees & Mountains. Smoking & 420 friendly outside only. Please no dogs.

The space
The room has a queen Bed, small chest of drawers, scented candles and closet with storage and hanging space. I have hangers if you need them. Room also has a workstation, bed light next to bed and a desk light on the other side with two USB ports accompanied by a swivel soft chair. Work or watch TV! Fresh paint and all NEW electrical sockets. Power strip under desk and modicum of office supplies. Also, there is a Box Fan in the closet for nights when I open up the house. PLEASE no smoking of any substance in bedrooms or home, outside on deck only please. Minimize food use unless you clean up. Ants. Two dining areas as well as outside can be used. Thank you!

My room is the only part off limits. Use the whole house and back yard. May not advise running around naked, but hey whatever.

Limited kitchen space for storage and please do not use refrigerator without asking first.

During your stay
I'm a very active man who lives alone. I'm gone often, but home a lot. Please remember I do live in the house. I have a master bedroom with a private room. So, I stay out of the way and give you space, unless needed or I can socialize. I'm a friendly guy. I do use the Patio Deck and watch TV in the living room. If you want or need something, please ask. Please note I'm a Medical Cannabis user. That said no smoking allowed in the home or rooms, regardless of what it is. Outside on the deck only for guests, I will be in my room addition with proper ventilation or on the deck. If it is an issue, I will not smoke on the deck I want my guests to feel conferrable and safe. No smell of smoke in the home at all.

Other things to note
If you need something, ask me. I just might have it! I have two E-Bikes from Green Bike guests can use as well, please ask first. All the condiments. spices and sauces are for my guests to use if you want. All the bottled water, coffee & Tea you want is free. I'm 420 friendly and I use. I'm a medical user with stage two kidney disease. That said, NO smoking or consuming in any way other than edibles in the home or in your room. Must be done outside. No exceptions. Please read the rules.

PLEASE no food in the bedroom (small snacks while watching TV is fine). I have two dining tables to use to eat meals.

There is a keyless entry to enter the house. All access to the Kitchen, Dining Room, Sitting Room, Living room and 1 full bathroom, 1 shower room and a half bath. (your room comes with it's own half bathroom also) Each rented room has locking doors and you will be provided a key when you arrive.

During your stay
I am available 7 days a week and during the week I am available the majority of the day except for approximately 4 hours a day.

At the back of the house, we do have 10 apartments that are rented monthly to tenants. They keep to themselves and they have their own outdoor space.

This bright studio is located in the heart of Grants Pass, OR, small town feel. It offers everything you need, kitchen to prepare your meals, full bathroom and a large backyard with a fire pit to enjoy the night! This modern studio has a large gated backyard and 2 private parking spaces. The studio is walking distance to local diner, close to local bars, and anything downtown. You'll love the attention to detail of this little studio.

The space
Hip, new studio apartment situated in a quiet neighborhood across the street from a quiet park! Tastefully decorated and uniquely designed. The open floor plan features a bedroom area, sitting area, kitchen, laundry cove with washer/dryer, a private full bathroom, and a private outdoor patio. Space also includes heat and a/c. The bedroom area features a brand new queen bed with new memory foam mattress, comfy linens, a dresser, and a 55” smart tv with Netflix that is viewable from the bed and couch. The sitting area has a leather couch and coffee table, the kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and everyday kitchen utensils. There is a french press stocked with coffee and tea, and some common spices/condiments/cooking oil. The bathroom features a cute tiled shower paired with hexagon tiled floors. You will find shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, cotton swabs, cotton makeup pads, and towels stocked for your use. Head outside and enjoy a cozy evening on your private fenced patio. Turn on the string lights and a fire in the propane fire pit. The studio apartment shares a wall with the main house, but the shared wall is connected to an un-used room at the back of the house to ensure a quiet stay. **This is a pet free and smoke free residence!

The space
I live a mile to the I-5 freeway. Easy access to my place. My place is a country style 2 story home. Wide streets with plenty of parking in front of home. Easy off I-5 freeway access. Just about a mile and half from off ramp. Very many unique places downtown to eat and shop. River is just 4 1/2 miles away. Safe quiet neighborhood with plenty of room to park in front of house on the street.

Guest access
Please note the rooms are upstairs. This room is a full size bed with crib for a baby or toddler. My guests have access to all living quarters other than my private work office. The downstairs living room and kitchen are yours to enjoy. Feel free to cook for yourselves and use the fridge for your food or drinks. My back yard is going thru construction but soon to be finished for your relaxation in the future.

During your stay
Please feel free to enjoy the whole access to my home. There are a few rooms that are locked because I still live on the premises when I am here. Do you have a full kitchen, laundry room, living room, family room for you to enjoy. When I am not here I have family who care take from my home, if you have any questions or concerns I leave contact numbers and you can usually get a hold of me with a quick response.
