We offer a charming and functional space, right in downtown Hood River that fits 2 adults comfortably. Set under the trees, this little cottage is both cozy and modern. It has a full, private bath en suite and a queen-sized bed (with a comfy new mattress). Please note: this is smoke-free property (tobacco or marijuana).

The space
The guesthouse is well-appointed with high-quality bedding and towels, and all furniture is in excellent shape. Recent upgrades include a new mattress, a built-in desk, and bedside charging stations.

It is a relatively small space but very comfortable and clean. It is set behind the main house so it is quiet and private. Guests may come and go as they please.

Our location is perfect—off the beaten path so it's nice and quiet but is in Hood River proper. We can see the river from the property so it's great to get a sense of what's going on down at the riverfront. And, we are steps away from the Indian Creek Trail--a nice beginning or end to the day.

It's just a quick walk (5-7 minutes) to the center of the main shopping street (Oak), either via the street or the stairs. Parking is easy on the street and guests will have a dedicated, off-street space.

A few notes: We do not offer storage for gear or access to laundry. There is no TV in the guesthouse, however, there is excellent wifi on a dedicated network so streaming movies and shows is an alternative.

We look forward to meeting you and getting you settled, but are happy to give you your privacy. We have lived in Hood River for many years and can guide guests to outdoor activities and great local businesses. There is a list of recommended restaurants, coffee shops, wineries /breweries in the cottage.

One more note: we live on a fairly steep hill and the path to the house from the street is a gravel pathway--it's not for those who may be unsteady on their feet.

Smoking or vaping of any substance (or drug use) in the guesthouse or on the property is prohibited.

Guest access
Guests have the full run of the cottage and can come and go freely through the yard. (Guests may not invite other guests on to the property without permission.)

Looking for a cool, private and comfortable getaway? Our lovely cottage, with full bath, queen bed and kitchen, is great for one or two guests. Our Oh So Lovely Cottage is tucked back in the corner of the estate, and is only two miles from downtown Hood River. Come, kick back and relax. You'll love it here!

The space
Our Oh-So-Lovely-Cottage is fun, clean, eco-chic and great for your comfort and enjoyment! Great WiFi makes for a good remote workspace and for longer stays. Our month long visitors say it’s like home away from home and come back every year. It is perfect for one or two guests who are longing for a beautiful, quiet space.

The 260 sq ft cottage has a main room with freshly painted walls and woodwork, hardwood flooring, a very comfortable queen bed, sitting chair and a dinette table with chairs for two.

There is air conditioning, free WiFi, an iron and ironing board and parking right outside your door. From the windows you can take in the gardens, trees and open space and, if you are lucky, may get a glimpse of quail and pheasant.

The fully-equipped kitchen with heated Italian tile has a new refrigerator and stove, microwave, coffee maker, etc. There are dishes, utensils and cookware for your use.

The bathroom has a heated Italian tile floor, standup shower, bath linens, soap, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryer.

Outside the cottage are sitting spaces with inviting chaise lounges and table and chairs. We have ample storage on site, please let us know if you require this. From the front patio area, you can see the garden stretch out into the yard, past the main house and way over to the barn. This lovely corner of our place is very private and quiet.

The Hood River area offers many wonderful activities during all seasons of the year. The Columbia River Gorge is world-renowned for windsurfing, kite boarding and SUP. With easy access to Mt. Hood recreation areas for skiing, hiking, road cycling and mountain biking, your playtime is endless! Fruit orchards, wineries, hard cider and micro-breweries are everywhere. You will not be thirsty!
