Enjoy our historic 1898 Carriage House converted to quaint guesthouse with modern amenities. We are located in the Monteith District just blocks from downtown Albany, Oregon (10 miles from Corvallis, home of Oregon State University).

The space
This guesthouse was built in 1898 as a carriage house to facilitate the main house. It has been renovated and made into a beautiful, two-story guesthouse (834 sq. ft.). It is completely detached from the main house and has it's own private entrance and private back yard with patio.

The Carriage House has a fully-equipped kitchen with many amenities including: Keurig Coffee Brewer, pots and pans, a toaster, stove, oven, fridge and freezer, dishes, glasses and utensils.

The Carriage House also has wireless internet and a flat-screen TV.

Guest access
You will have full access to the Carriage House and it's own private back yard. The Cottage is completely separate from the main house. Please feel free to come and go as you please.

Our place has one double bed and is suited for one person or a couple.
It's a small, sunny studio with a vaulted ceiling and skylights. It's located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of coffee shops, a natural food store, restaurants, and, if you don't mind a 1.5 mile walk, OSU campus and downtown. Basic amenities include a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. We use non-toxic cleaning products. Pesticide free, too.

The space
A quiet, small space. The studio has a new double-size bed, a couch, and a small kitchen area. A new ductless heater keeps it warm in winter and cool in summer. No TV, so please keep that in mind. Also, the bathroom is very nice.

The driveway is yours. You'll see the studio directing in front you. Go through the little gate on your right.

Even though we provide no separate kitchen-- only a toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator, counter space and coffee system-- there are many places to eat close by.

Space was designed and decorated to be practical and functional. Even in a small space, it has everything you need!
You can even enjoy a beverage out on the deck overlooking the fields and you might be lucky to meet a neighborhood cow!

Kitchen is equipped with double basin sink, full size oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, Crockpot, Instapot, blender, Keurig K-Cafe (for cappuccino and lattes - bring your own milk! - in addition to normal k-cups). Basic cooking utensils, pots, and pans are provided. Other cooking utensils can be requested if needed.

Other things to note
The guesthouse can sleep 4 people however it can feel a bit cramped as the entire guesthouse is under 400 sq ft. It really works best for 2 adults but works fine with more.
When the sofa sleeper is being used it only leaves a small path to the bathroom so it’s best to only have the sleeper sofa open when someone is using it.

The spacious bathroom features a corner soaking tub and rain shower head. The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. You will likely meet our friendly cat, Jack Jack, at your door.

The cottage has 300 sq feet. It has a large shower in the bath. There is no real kitchen as there is no kitchen sink or stove. There is a refrigerator with small freezer on top. There is a microwave and a Kuerig for coffee as well as an electric teapot. There is a travel iron and hairdryer. We are about 5 minutes from town in a rural area. The cottage is far enough away from the main house that we cannot hear the guests . The back windows look out on farmland where there are cows and goats.

This is our back house and you may see us but we will give you all the privacy you want! We have 2 dogs that like to roam. We are near the train, you will hear it going by.

The space
This is our back house, completely separate from the main house. We share a yard, and our doggies do too! It’s spacious with lots of natural light (when Oregon weather allows). There’s a queen bed, 1 fold up twin bed set up upon request. Only entrance to the bathroom is through the bedroom. Bathroom and shower are on the smaller side-think the size of an RV shower. While we don’t have a full kitchen, our kitchenette has a microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven and hot plate, small fridge and freezer. We are close to the train, like most historic homes in Albany.

The space
The guesthouse has an open floorplan which includes a loft space for relaxing, reading, or working. The abundance of natural light in the guesthouse gives it an open and airy feel. The back patio is a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee/tea or a good book in the late afternoon. The little pond and grassy area in front provide a nice refuge for birds and other animals. There is also a raised deck in the forest nearby for relaxing, yoga, or just enjoying the trees.

The kitchen is outfitted and ready for your cooking and baking needs. I provide tea (black, green, mint, chamomile) and coffee (Nespresso machine with coffee pods or a simple drip). I also provide olive oil, salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar.

Guest access
The access to the guesthouse entrance is around the back side of the yellow shop/garage through double French doors. When you pull into the driveway you will see a blue garage door and a blue single door. These are the entrances to the garage, which is not part of the guesthouse. Follow the short path to the right and turn left around the back of the building and you will see the covered patio and French doors.

In the mudroom, the large darker door leads to the garage, which is not part of the guesthouse. The door is locked, but from the inside, so you can go out that way if absolutely necessary, but I do prefer that you do not go into that area. The other door (lighter one) is the second bedroom that is part of the guesthouse 2-bedroom option.

Other things to note
**Please inquire about children, I set that it is not appropriate for children because of the ladder to the loft. My main concern is for toddler-age children, but babies and older children are fine.

The guesthouse is located about 3/4 mile up a hill on a gravel road.

The cell service is very spotty in this area. The guesthouse has high-speed wireless internet and calls can be made with WiFi calling. Depending on your carrier, there is cell service in the driveway near the mailbox.

The bedroom is separated from the living room by blackout curtains, not a door.

If you are unable to arrive before 11 pm for check-in, please let me know and we can arrange a later check-in time.

I have a cat who is an indoor/outdoor cat. He is never inside the guesthouse, but you may see him around outside. I like to give guests a heads up that he could appear around the guesthouse. Beautiful newly built 1 bedroom guesthouse in the Hackleman district right in the heart of downtown Albany. This private home in a quiet neighborhood feels secluded, but is just blocks away from all the city has to offer. Located on the same property as the historic N.H. Allen House, the first home in all of Albany to have electricity.

The guesthouse was constructed in 2005 as a detached garage to accompany the historic house which was built by the Allen family in 1880. It has been very recently remodeled into a 1 bedroom living space for family and guests from all over to enjoy. Located near the Albany hospital, downtown shops and restaurants, the Carousel Museum, and Monteith park which hosts free summer concerts. Our location is also an easy 20 minute drive to Corvallis and Oregon State University.

The space
Staying in a Carriage House has NEVER been this comfortable. With High ceilings, modern finishes, and a sleek modern vibe, this Historical 100 yr old property has been completely revived from top to bottom! Everything is new, modernized and refreshed. Perfect for short or mid-term stays, this is a perfect space for a small family or friends trip where you like your serene privacy but want to be near all the action.


If you're interested in housing more people, please inquire about adding the main house, there's a three bedroom top unit and a two bedroom daylight basement unit - we may be able to accommodate.

Just blocks from Albany's downtown district, there's the Antique mall, along with 100's of shops, restaurants, museum, live theaters, Historical Carousel and Museum.

We kindly ask, if pets travel with you, there is a pet cleaning fee . Let us know upon booking. You must keep them with you or in their crates. No pets on furniture. This unit is all laminate with throw rugs, so please lay down a dog blanket first, if they must be on one of the rugs.
If your pets have been outdoors, we ask that they please have their feet cleaned at entrance with their dedicated doggy towel.
We appreciate the mindfulness and collaboration in keeping everything as sanitary as possible and thinking of the next guests to come.

Guest access
While looking at the front of the property follow the driveway to the right of the house. At the end of the driveway will be a fence with a gate. There is a metal cord you can pull to open the gate into the backyard. Follow the path to the Carriage House at the back. The entrance is along the left side with a keypad to unlock and access your Little Home.

Parking is available first come, first serve. However RESERVED parking is avail. $10 first night and $5 each night after.

Pet Policy:

We are glad to host your pets too (as in dogs 🐶). Anything beyond that — lizards, ferrets, emotional support peacocks — needs a little pre-approval, just so we’re all on the same page. Regardless of how well trained the pet is, we have found pets do crazy things at unfamiliar locations. I really do not want to charge for cleaning carpets or floor rugs. It’s a pain, so please READ carefully! Thank you!

We ask for compliance in a few house rules:

🛋️ No pets on the furniture — no matter how much they side-eye ya.

🚪 No pets in the bedrooms. We just replaced carpets and are trying to keep things fresh and fur-free.

🛏️ Bring their own bedding if possible to prevent marking or nervous accidents. Trust us, they do happen! If you don’t have any, let me know — I’ve got extra pet blankets you can use.

🚿 No pet baths in the tub. That spa day is for humans only.

🚧 Please keep them on wood flooring, use the baby gates provided or close bedroom doors to ensure compliance.

🚫 No unkenneled solo pet parties — please don’t leave your pet unattended unless properly crated.

🐶 Need pet care while you're out? We’ve got a Rover sitter on standby — just say the word.

💩 Please scoop the poop. It’s basic trail etiquette and good humaning.

There is a $40 per week per pet fee for dogs (capped at $120 per month), Any other pets will be considered on a case by case basis- please inquire. If you already paid it through your reservation, great! If not, please reach out and we can discuss the various channels depending on how you booked that we can use.

Guest access
Park in the street and access Corvallis Haus through the person gate to the driveway. Find your private entrance via the stairs on the left side of the garage. Stairs are adjacent to your private patio.

Other things to note
Corvallis is a relatively safe town. We still recommend taking all of your belongings out of your car and making sure your car is locked (wherever you are).

The space
The guesthouse has an open floorplan which includes a loft space for relaxing, reading, or working. The abundance of natural light in the guesthouse gives it an open and airy feel. The back patio is a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee/tea or a good book in the late afternoon. The little pond and grassy area in front provide a nice refuge for birds and other animals. There is also a raised deck in the forest nearby for relaxing, yoga, or just enjoying the trees.

The kitchen is outfitted and ready for your cooking and baking needs. I provide tea (black, green, mint, chamomile) and coffee (Nespresso machine with coffee pods or a simple drip). I also provide olive oil, salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar.

Guest access
The access to the guesthouse entrance is around the back side of the yellow shop/garage through double French doors. When you pull into the driveway you will see a blue garage door and a blue white door. These are the entrances to the garage, which is not part of the guesthouse. Follow the short path to the right and turn left around the back of the building and you will see the covered patio and French doors.

In the mudroom/laundry area, the lighter wood door is the entrance to the second bedroom. The large darker door leads to the garage, which is not part of the guesthouse. The door is locked, but from the inside, so you can go out that way if absolutely necessary, but I do prefer that you do not go into that area.

Other things to note
**Please inquire about children, I set that it is not appropriate for children because of the ladder to the loft. My main concern is for toddler-age children, but babies and older children are fine.

The guesthouse is located about 3/4 mile up a hill on a gravel road.

The cell service is very spotty in this area. The guesthouse has high-speed wireless internet and calls can be made with WiFi calling. Depending on your carrier, there is cell service in the driveway near the mailbox.

The 1st bedroom (with queen bed) is separated from the living room by blackout curtains, not a door. The second bedroom (with full bed) is on the other side of the laundry room and has a door, making it more private.

If you are unable to arrive before 11 pm for check-in, please let me know and we can arrange a later check-in time.

I have a cat who is an indoor/outdoor cat. He is never inside the guesthouse, but you may see him around outside. I like to give guests a heads up that he could appear around the guesthouse. His name is Chile and he is friendly, but please don't let him into the guesthouse even if he expresses interest in entering, thanks!

Kick back and relax in this artsy and stylish 2 bedroom, 1 bath, private and peaceful guest suite. Separate patio entrance and private bath. Includes a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, and all you need to make coffee and a workspace. In quiet neighborhood close to parks and nature walks. 15 min walk to OSU, grocery co-ops, coffee shops, restaurants. Floor plan shown in photos. Please review house rules prior to booking.

The space
1965 built, single level ranch style house in established neighborhood just northwest of the university on NW side of town. Rooms have real oak flooring, recently painted. Lots of light in bedroom #1 from door half -light, sliding glass door, and skylight above shower in bathroom. Bedroom #2 is separated from bedroom #1 by privacy/lockable doors. Kitchenette and bathroom located in bedroom #1. Van Gough locked door separates host/guest spaces.

Guest access
Private entrance to guest suite via north side mulched path. Path is noted by landscape lighting to the north patio marking a private entrance. Guest suite is separated from main part of house by a door in the hallway. Sliding glass door functions as a window only for viewing of backyard.

Comfort tips:
1. House is located in an area that gets a nice coastal breeze in the evening for a cooling effect in summer. Rooms are located on north side of house which also keeps cooler. A fresh, cool breeze will cool down the space on a hot summer day. Portable AC unit is available, as well as fans and air purifier.
2. Rooms equipped with stand-along radiator heaters in addition to central gas forced air heat. This will allow you to customize the temperature during winter months.

This 1905 Queen Anne Cottage oozes charm and history. Antiques and collectibles from our travels around the world decorate each room. Old world charm with modern comforts --- that's our home. Please contact us before requesting to book. The entire house is generally only available when we are traveling. If we can accommodate your request we will.

The space
This is a three-story home in a quiet, historic residential neighborhood. The main floor has a bedroom, full bathroom, living room, dining room, den, and kitchen. The upper floor has the master suite, a full bathroom, and a small bedroom/sewing room. The finished basement has a large bedroom, a TV room, bathroom/laundry room. The backyard features a patio, garden and pergola. We have a level 2 EV charger available for a fee.

When guests rent the entire home, they have access to all rooms.

We only rent out the entire house when we are traveling. Please contact us before booking. We will accommodate if we can.
