This smoke-free bed & breakfast features a snack bar/deli, coffee/tea in a common area, and a microwave in a common area. Free full breakfast is provided, as well as free WiFi in public areas, free self parking, and a free manager's reception. Additionally, a refrigerator in a common area, concierge services, and a garden are onsite.
Ocean House offers 8 accommodations with iPod docking stations and bathrobes. Each accommodation is individually furnished and decorated. Beds feature Egyptian cotton sheets and premium bedding. Guests can surf the web using the complimentary wireless Internet access. Bathrooms include designer toiletries, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. Housekeeping is offered daily and hypo-allergenic bedding can be requested.

Our room was very comfortable and it quiet time allowed us a restful night. Would stay again. If you normally use a wheelchair or walker, make sure you mention this when you reserve (so you get a ground-floor room), and arrive when the front door of the home is accessible (I didn't manage to get in there using my key after hours). Also make sure that if you want the room with the soaking tub or the one with the jacuzzi tub, you request them when you reserve--not every room has a tub at all. I do plan to return--and I've snagged the room with the jacuzzi tub already!"

The space
We have a lovely little secluded fenced in yard to soak up some sun in addition to your private deck. Our house is centrally located, so access to beach, Newport's Historic Bayfront and boardwalk, the Newport Aquarium, Yaquina lighthouse, Ripley's Believe It or Not, the Newport Performing Arts Center, Newport Visual Arts Center, Nye Beach, shopping and more are all a 2-10 minutes away.

Guests have a private entrance up a poetic spiral Guests follow a short secluded, but well lit path, to their private spiral staircase up to their abode.

During your stay
We live in the house and will be downstairs, while you enjoy your privacy upstairs, so getting anything you need is super easy, just call or text...or come to the front door and ring the bell.

We have lived in Newport for 50 years, so we have lots of info on things to do, good restaurants, music, theater, secret beaches, hiking trails and more, so feel free to ask us for info to make your stay the best trip ever!

Adorable newer apartment in Nye Beach 3 blocks from the ocean! 5 minute stroll to shops, restaurants, and the beach. This bright and secluded apartment is fully furnished with updated furniture and has a private entrance. Bathroom and kitchenette downstairs with queen bed, couch, closet with shelves, and bistro set upstairs. Windows on all sides with a view of the ocean out the west. Cathedral ceilings and very private on a quiet corner. Feels like you are in a tree house. WiFi included.

The space
Cypress Cottage sits on a peaceful corner with gravel roads. The house has cedar shingles and bright turquoise doors. A spectacular 100+ year old Spanish Cypress adorns the property.

You enter the mud room complete with coat hooks, shoe cubbies, a bench for you to sit, and a basket full of fun ideas and brochures of ‘Things To Do’ in our region. You will most likely be greeted by my adorable black kitty, Willard. He is super friendly and loves the guests.

Directly across the entry door is your apartment. You enter into the fully stocked kitchenette and bathroom off to the side. To your left are the stairs that lead to the living space with cathedral ceilings, windows on all 4 sides, queen size bed, loveseat and ottoman (opens to blanket storage), reading light, Smart Tv with Roku and a fully articulating arm, closet with hangers and built in shelves, extra pillows and comforter, weighted blanket, full length mirror, an upright fan, ironing board and iron, vacuum, and stand alone tv tray stands.

Enjoy the ambience of the salt lamp and diffuser supplied with dōTERRA essential oils.

*Note: There is no water upstairs. The bathroom and kitchen are on the first floor.

Guest access
Your apartment is completely yours to enjoy. You enter the mud room with access across the area rug into the apartment. There is a front porch with comfy furniture and a small table with an ashtray.

Parking is abundant and free in my neighborhood. The driveway is directly in front of the apartment with a dedicated parking space for guests. If you have more than one car there is space to park next to the hedge by the side of my house…just past the driveway.

You can walk or ride your bike to the beach and all around town. Almost everything is within a 5 minute car drive-grocery store, the Bayfront, movie theater, etc.

My favorite hidden path to the beach is right around the corner from my place. It is a tree lined wooded path along Nye Creek where you can enter from Nye Street across from the Betty Wheeler Baseball fields and ends at the Sam Moore Parkway complete with a kids playground and the skate park. From there you are a 1/2 block to Nye Beach shops and the ocean. Enjoy!

Hi! A little about me...I am a Certified Health Coach, Licensed Massage Therapist, and dōTERRA Wellness Advocate. I wanted to create a bright and beautiful space to offer to my guests here at Cypress Cottage. I believe in health and wellness and that extends to the hand wash, dish soap, shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, diffuser with essential oils, and cleaning products....all of which are completely natural, pure, and non-toxic.

I am an animal lover! I am blessed to be a companion with my kitty (Willard). He will most like come up to greet you at some point during your stay. Because of my companion, that there is no access to the yard, allergy situations for other guests, and simply the apartment is not set up for animals, NO ANIMALS ARE ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. Thank you so much for understanding and respecting this rule.

I also adore children, and due to safety reasons, my space is not available to them. It is not set up for infants, toddlers, or small kids at all. There is no baby gate at the stairs, covers on the plugs, or other safety precautions for children. FOR SAFETY REASONS, THE APARTMENT IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO 2 ADULTS. There is a $100/night charge per additional child/guest. Thank you
