- "Love love love. Sea Lions aren’t too bad. Worth it for the tub and the location. Would recommend." - "From the start to the end, my visit to this property was lovely. I contacted the management company to help me enter the property. The person I spoke with was wonderful and got me into the property with ease. Upon entering the room, I knew my stay would be great. The room was clean and the view was beautiful. (I stayed in the exact room several years ago and was pleased to say my expectations were met!) The bed was comfortable, the jacuzzi tub, relaxing and the view of the bay was spectacular! I did not have any problems with barking sea lions as they were all gone to California for mating! (on my previous visit, they were barking, but I did not mind). Pay attention to parking. You will have to pay for parking during the day on the street. (after 7 pm -11 am, street parking is free) There is free parking up the tiny hill by the bar across the street during the day. I would recommend, if you are not planning on using your car, to move your car before 7 am to the free lot for the day. If you do use your car, be prepared to pay a small fee for street parking. The shops and restaurants are plentiful. I loved Clearwater and Local Ocean. Most places are walkable, even across the bridge to the Aquarium, Hatfield, and Rouge. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a nice relaxing stay."

- "We enjoyed our weekend stay thoroughly - the view was great, the room was clean, and had all the amenities we wanted (a coffee maker, fridge, microwave aren't shown in the photos but they're there). It took a little getting used to the seals and sea lions next door who bark all hours of the day, but after the first day it was just background noise. I recommend putting the fan that's in the closet in the doorway during the day to bring in the cooler air so you can close the door at night. It was super nice to relax in the tub and stare off the patio. You're right in the middle of the action once you step out the door, the dive bar across the street was great and there were great restaurants all over the place. I would recommend this place to anyone!"

The pool is closed from September to May, but the hot tub is open year-round for your enjoyment.

For waste disposal, the refuse shed is locked at all times, and a key will be provided for your convenience.

But if you're not ready for the day to end, guests can enjoy the use of a shared sauna during their stay. The Embarcadero Resort also includes a crab dock with a cooking station, so you can enjoy the taste of the ocean through your entire stay!

Newport is a favorite stop along the Oregon coast for a reason - the wide variety of activities and access to Yaquina Bay and the ocean make it a prime location to explore. Connect to Nye Beach just under two miles away, through you may not want to miss the viewpoint by the Yaquina Bay Bridge just over a mile-and-a-half from the studio. The Oregon Coast Aquarium is just over three-and-a-half miles away, and is a half mile further from the Rogue Ales & Spirits pub. You can also sip some delicious local wine at the Newport location of Noble Estate Winery, just under a mile away. But of course, you can't leave Newport without enjoying some chowder from Mo's Seafood & Chowder. There's just one mile from the studio!

Come to historic Nye Beach! Our little cottage is dog friendly (no cats or other pets) and a short walk to anything you want; the beach, Newport Performing Arts Center, brew pubs and restaurants, and an array of quaint boutiques. The cottage is newly remodeled, including new flooring, tile counters, new tub and tile surround, new bathroom vanity, etc. and each bedroom has a queen size memory foam bed.

Please note that there is no local TV but there is lots of content to watch on the Apple TV.

+ PRIVATE BEACH ACCESS is down a flight of stairs (109 stairs to be exact) located right outside your back door. There is a small bench half way down if you need to take a breather. If you prefer not to take the stairs, you can walk or drive a block south to the Nye Beach Turnaround and park at beach level.

+ The entire property has an absolutly NO SMOKING or vaping policy. If you wish to smoke, please do so near the bench at the sidewalk.
+ Please note this is a ground floor condo in a 3 story building with no elevator. There are no stairs required for parking or laundry here, and no one below you, but there is a unit located above.

This second-floor oceanfront studio is ideal for vacationers needing a getaway to the Oregon Coast. The condo has been recently updated and offers large windows perfect for taking in views of the Pacific Ocean and a covered deck great for watching the seasonal whale migrations (usually in late December and March). There's also a seasonal pool available at the building.

Sunny apartment, located between Bayfront and Nye Beach. 5 minutes to the beach, park and lighthouse. Views of jetty, whales and sounds of the surf from private deck. The space
With ocean and jetty views, it's the place to be for afternoon sunsets and BBQs. This lovely sunny apartment in the lower floor of our home has a private entrance and wind protected deck. It has a small fridge but kitchen is stocked for a cook, complete with two burner stove, convection oven, microwave, spices, french press, herb garden, grill and more. There is a pillow top queen mattress and a sofa bed. The place works great for two people but a third or child can be accommodated, with approval. We love animals and people from various walks of life but live in a residential area so welcome only well-behaved dogs and people. Pet owners are expected to manage their pets behavior and to clean up after their pets.

The space has lots of windows and is decorated with Mexican folk art and some of Kay's own art. Laundry access is available upon request and private parking is provided. There is a fully equipped kitchen for the chef and a smart TV for movies, music and internet. We have an organic garden and will share herbs and other produce (depending on the harvest cycle). Yaquina Bay State Park is steps away with beach access, the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, and whale viewing spots with scopes. We can set you up with beach chairs or a crab pot, and have other resources to help you to make the most of your trip.

Guest access
This private apartment and deck is on the first floor our residence. Access is via the path around the north side of the house at the bottom of the driveway/garden and across your private deck. Catch morning sun in the garden area and enjoy the sunsets and jetty views from your deck. Guests will be provided the code to the door just prior to arrival.

The space
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak we are taking additional steps to professionally sanitize with antiviral-antibacterial agents all door knobs, light switches, remote controls, thermostats, cabinet drawer handles, etc. All bedding and linens are washed with bleach on the hottest settings.

"The Overlook" offers a Hip-Urban Northwestern feel (approx. 2,400sf) and features three bedrooms, two baths, a fully furnished kitchen with high end kitchen appliances, a large eating bar, custom countertops, a beautiful gas fireplace with seating around, walk -in showers, a custom slider barn door, and a specially designed "garage door" which opens up into the master bedroom. Other custom features include specialty accent lighting, loft exposed ductwork, a private back deck and front deck that looks out at a glimpse of the ocean and the quaint Nye Beach rooftops.

Sit out on the back deck with your morning coffee while listening to the seagulls and foghorn in the distance or cuddle up with a book on the couch or gas fireplace seating. Soak in the warm bath, enjoy a movie or a variety of books and board games in the third bedroom / bunk room.

Step out from "The Overlook" and explore all that Nye Beach has to offer. Turn left and you are truly steps away from Panni's bakery. Turn right and sit out on the patio at Nana's Pub and enjoy your favorite microbrew , walk across the street and enjoy wine tasting, stroll down the street and check out the Archway shops and boutiques. Directly below "The Overlook" has the best local art gallery in town, For Artsake !

Guest access
This is a whole house rental. As a guest in our home, you have full access to all interior spaces. On the back deck and mudroom you have access to a container of beach toys, beach chairs and beach mats.

Other things to note
With the current COVID19 virus our guests health and safety are are number one concern. We are taking additional steps to have our homes professionally sanitized after each guest, with all doorknobs, light switches, thermostats, cabinet handles and remote controls, etc. treated with antiviral-antibacterial agents. Bedding is washed on the hottest settings with bleach.

Absolutely no parties or extra guests are allowed. We would like our guests to know that we have full time residents who live in the condo below. Therefore, it is important that our guests be respectful and considerate of our residence by using the side building's "private" gate at all times when entering and exiting the building. Please be considerate of the noise level when enjoying our front and back deck area, as noise travels easily to our tenants below. Observing quiet hours between 10:00 pm - 8:00 am is greatly appreciated.
