We call this adorable house “The Birdhouse”. We selected really fun wall papers and curtains to go with the mid century modern theme. We have a piano and beautiful record player (yes it works!) that guests are welcome to use! The house has been fully restored including the original hardwood flooring and clawfoot tub! The space
The apartment was constructed from what was the "loafing shed" of the barn -- where the cattle came in out of inclement weather to feed and rest. Now it is a comfortable space where humans can come to rest and recuperate. A full kitchen is available for cooking. The queen bed is an adjustable with wifi remote control. The full double bed is an old fashioned brass bed with a super comfortable mattress. The apartment has a stacked washer/dryer.

Guest access
Although the ranch is 130 acres in total, only approximately 3 - 5 acres are available for hiking. Guests are welcome to walk down hill to the creek where they can follow the meandering creek. Passing through stands of fir, pine, cedar, ash, oak and alder growing along the creek's meadows, visitors can experience a wide variety of plant communities.

Other things to note
The washer and dryer take small loads only. Laundry detergent is supplied. The barn doors separating the bedrooms are not able to lock. A small electric fireplace and electric stove provide supplemental heat with the ambience of a wood fire. A propane fire pit and small barbecue on the porch provide additional outdoor living space.
