We call this adorable house “The Birdhouse”. We selected really fun wall papers and curtains to go with the mid century modern theme. We have a piano and beautiful record player (yes it works!) that guests are welcome to use! The house has been fully restored including the original hardwood flooring and clawfoot tub! The apartment was constructed from what was the "loafing shed" of the barn -- where the cattle came in out of inclement weather to feed and rest. Now it is a comfortable space where humans can come to rest and recuperate. A full kitchen is available for cooking. The queen bed is an adjustable with wifi remote control. The full double bed is an old fashioned brass bed with a super comfortable mattress. The apartment has a stacked washer/dryer.

Guest access
Although the ranch is 130 acres in total, only approximately 3 - 5 acres are available for hiking. Guests are welcome to walk down hill to the creek where they can follow the meandering creek. Passing through stands of fir, pine, cedar, ash, oak and alder growing along the creek's meadows, visitors can experience a wide variety of plant communities.

Other things to note
The washer and dryer take small loads only. Laundry detergent is supplied. The barn doors separating the bedrooms are not able to lock. A small electric fireplace and electric stove provide supplemental heat with the ambience of a wood fire. A propane fire pit and small barbecue on the porch provide additional outdoor living space.

The gym is open daily between 5:00 am and 12:00 midnight. Confirmed guests will have access to this gym with a scan card. For security purposes, there are multiple security cameras and security lights outside the building. Each room is very spacious. The main upstairs bedroom has 2 queen beds with a 48–inch flatscreen TV mounted on the wall. The large downstairs lounge/bedroom has a queen-size pullout sofa bed. There is also a 55-inch flatscreen HDTV mounted on the wall. There is a full size bathroom on the upstairs main floor, a full size kitchen with refrigerator (with some condiments available), range oven, above-the-range microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, and dishwasher. We also have Folgers caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee in the cupboard for guests to use. There is a 6-person dining table, and a bar with 3 chairs. There are plates, bowls, eating utensils, pots and pans, knife set with scissors, a can opener, salad tongs and spatulas available for use. There is a medium-sized living room with 2 lazy boy-like recliner chairs, a couch, and a 55-inch flatscreen HDTV. Maximum occupancy is 6.

We are conveniently located close to the I-5 freeway Exit 98 which can be accessed within 1-2 min by car. Parking on Main St and side streets are free. There are 2 dedicated guest parking spaces next to the apartment building off the street.

With over 800 square feet, this newly designed studio apt located in a quiet neighborhood has everything you need to make your stay in centrally located Roseburg a success--washer/dryer, kitchen, large screen tv, etc. Once parked, traverse through the gate, up the stairs to your private entrance off the upper deck. Perfectly located for day trips to the coast, Oregon's waterfalls, Crater Lake National Park, and more! (Note: we do have dogs)

The space
The studio is newly designed with bedroom, kitchen, dining, and living areas all in one large room, totaling over 800 square feet. There is also a private bathroom. We are in a quiet neighborhood on a somewhat narrow dead end road. The space has a queen size bed with memory foam mattress and a sofa bed (air mattress also available upon request). It also has a fully appointed kitchen. The apartment is upstairs (full flight, wood deck stairs), with it's own private balcony. Back yard is shared with owners (and their dogs). In-ground pool, seasonally available, is also shared.

Guest access
Guests have access to the apartment, and both gated back yard, in-ground pool (fenced), and side yard. Lower-level and garage are strictly for hosts.

Other things to note
We love children, and while we have no objection to hosting them, guests need to be aware that this space is not "set-up" for them. There is not a gate at the top of the steps of the balcony, there is not a crib or private sleeping area, and the apartment is not "child-proofed". Guests need to accept responsibility for their charges if they choose to bring them. Our dogs are friendly, but they do bark (even at us) to announce someone's arrival, and they run up to greet whomever is there. If this is alarming to anyone (or their children) this is not the space for them.
