The house is old and has a mix match of updated things and older. So the guts of the house aren't 5 stars but the location is! This is past the boardwalk so there is no one walking in front of the house. As a matter of fact it's far enough from the boardwalk that the stretch of beach in front of it has far less people than down the beach. The only negatives are 2/3 rooms. Having a bunk bed for a married couple isn't ideal. That basement room with a queen and thrown in twin beds isn't the best either. But they are all functionable. They have a wood fireplace but don't have any wood. A small bundle of wood would have been a nice touch. Back to the positives: Nice drip coffee maker. The wifi is good. We felt the kitchen was stocked well enough. Lots of seating at the tables for dinner. We would definitely consider booking again. The only thing that would make us think twice are those odd sleeping arrangements. But when it's all said and done we would likely rebook."

The main house was built in 1907 and given the name "UNEDAREST" (You Need A Rest). In 2019 we added a detached garage to the property and built this roomy 580 sq. ft. loft as a guest space and named it the UNEDAREST2 guest house. This is no ordinary studio apartment, there is a full bed nestled under the eaves, and a comfy convertible sofa that creates a second full bed, PLUS there is a cozy Kid Cave tucked under the eaves with a twin bed mattress on the floor surrounded by stacks of fluffy pillows. The roomy kitchen area has a marble-topped island food prep and eating space and is equipped with dishes, cookware, flatware, utensils, a microwave, coffeemaker, countertop oven, and an induction hot plate. If you want to roast hot dogs or marshmallows, there is a fire pit in the backyard that you are welcome to use.

The main house has a large wrap-around covered porch with a hammock, perfect for enjoying the afternoon sun, and the backyard has a granite dining table under the arbor where you can dine alfresco if you like, although you'll have to give the hosts a heads-up so they can contain the super-friendly cats and Golden Retriever who share the backyard!

The loft is decorated with a beach theme, the owners' art collection, colorful posters, and a long list of extras that will make your stay warm and comfortable. From beach towels and blankets, to boogy boards and sandcastle building supplies, we have you covered. Plus the small fridge is stocked with yogurt, fruit, and other items for breakfast.

Seaside is a fun vacation spot with an incredible 3-mile flat sand beach rimmed by a 1.5-mile paved boardwalk known as The Promenade. The Prom is perfect for bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, morning jogs and evenings spent watching the sunset. There is a long list of restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues within walking distance of the house. Your hosts will be happy to help direct you to locally owned establishments.
