- "I thought I was booking a type of condo, instead I discover that it is just a normal extended stay hotel. If I had known I would have simply gone to their website and booked rather than pay the extra high cleaning fee and other VRBO fees. I expected a kitchen and what I really got was a built-in 2 burn hot plate, refrigerator and microwave. There was not enough of anything, utensils, pots, cups to actually utilize the so called kitchen. We requested our room to be cleaned 3 days in a row and we came back to it untouched. We needed fresh towels after 4 days at a min. We actually ran out of toilet paper and tissues because they could not be bothered to property stock the room. So if you are staying a night or two and do not think you need anything more than a bed and a bathroom this could be the stay for you. If you think this is a short stay residence you are wrong. IT IS A HOTEL. Nothing more nothing less."

This lovely two-bedroom is located within the Emerald Place Apartments community just a quick 10-mile trip from hip downtown Portland. Enjoy this refuge away from the hustle and bustle of urban life while also being close enough to easily access everything the city has to offer. There’s also plenty to discover in Beaverton, including shopping at the new Tanasbourne Mall, grabbing some locally-grown produce at the Beaverton Farmers’ Market, and taking in the natural wetlands and towering trees. Unit features include an in-home washer and dryer, a private patio, and pets are welcome. Building amenities include a 24/7 fitness center, garden paths, a terraced swimming pool, and a clubhouse with a chef’s kitchen.

THINGS TO KNOW

• Guests must pass a building-required background check. We will offer a full refund if the reservation needs to be canceled due to the results of this check.
• If you are requesting an extension within 24 hours of your scheduled move-out date and/or are still present past 11am, you will be charged a $150 fee, plus the cost of another night. This covers the cost of rescheduling our cleaners and quality assurance inspectors.
• This home uses the Latch App for keyless entry. A smart phone and app is required to gain access
• The building is currently having renovations. Some noise may be heard

Comfortable private studio bedroom and bathroom in the beautiful Orenco neighborhood of Hillsboro Oregon. Close to Intel and Nike. Just a couple blocks away from the Orenco Station MAX metro light rail line and Orenco Station's charming restaurants and shopping village.

This studio can comfortably accommodate two adult guests. There is space to fit a pack-n-play if bringing a child. It has a private entrance on the side of the house. The space comes equipped with a small kitchenette including a mini fridge, microwave, an induction cooktop, basic cookware, dishes/utensils and a small sink. I provide coffee and a few refreshments as well. There’s a fold-out table for dining or to use as a small desk for those who need a quiet workspace. There is a wardrobe rack to hang your clothes. The bed is queen size and there is a large window overlooking garden beds in the fenced back yard. There is a lot of control of lighting because the window faces the sun but also has blackout blinds.

The property is on a busy road and although the unit is on the second floor there is some road noise. Earplugs and a white noise machine are provided for light sleepers.

This is a private studio. Guests have access to everything here plus an outdoor patio, elevator, Sunday outdoor farmers market from May through October. MAX light rail and TriMet bus close by. Plenty of convenient free and lighted parking.

The award-winning Orenco Station Town Center in Hillsboro offers a wide variety of experiences and local attractions and Portland is just 20 miles (20 minutes by MAX light rail just 3 blocks away). David Hill Vineyard & Winery
In 1965 Charles Coury, along with a few other wine pioneers, came north from California to establish vineyards in the Willamette Valley where they believed they could successfully grow Pinot Noir. Many of the vines still exist. There are approximately 6 acres of old vine Pinot Noir and 2 acres of Riesling. There is also Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Semillon and Sylvaner that were planted at that time as well. David Hill Winery is home to the Willamette Valley’s oldest Pinot Noir Vines.

Dion Vineyard
For over 30 years, three generations of our family have been stewards to the land and terroir that is Dion Vineyard. We provide premium wine grapes to a wide variety of wineries throughout Oregon. We also produce small quantities of wine for our own label. In our grapes and our wine we strive to achieve a sense of terroir — a sense of the people and the place that are home to these vines. Located in the Northern Willamette Valley, Dion Vineyard is 60 acres of southerly slopes. Our vines, some over 30 years old, are rooted in Laurelwood soils at elevations from 300 to 500 feet. Garden Vineyards

The iconic Filbert Hurst Estate is nestled in hills, vineyards and farms 7 miles outside of Hillsboro. The barn was built in 1910 and has been lovingly restored into charming guest quarters. You'll experience captivating rolling hills of blueberries and red clover fields, along with the filbert orchards this area is known for with majestic mountain views. An old weeping willow bodes privacy, while pussy willow trees provide shade and flowers of different species bolster the colorful atmosphere.

The space
The barn sleeps two guests. Amenities include; bathroom with stand up shower, hotel quality towels, blow dryer, quality blankets, sheets, a kitchenette with sink, microwave, toaster, pots, pans, Keurig coffee maker with pods (decaf and regular), teas, a two burner electric hot plate, small refrigerator, plates, knives, cups, bowls, flatware. An iron and board. Necessary paper products. Handmade, toxic free, lightly scented skin care lotion made from the local goat community by Ramirez Riverside Farms available for your use during your stay. Wi-fi/hotspots. Heating and fans. No oven, stove, washer/dryer nor dishwasher on site.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire guest quarters which includes a living space with kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom, small porch and surrounding garden. The barn has three levels and one root cellar (not currently in use) all which are locked and not accessible outside of the guest quarters. Guests can wonder around the grounds or take a stroll on our quiet street. There is an old, decaying outbuilding (looks like the beginnings of a church) on the property. No trespassing on it is permitted for safety reasons. Adjacent to the guest quarters is the Town and Country Mercantile; a vintage shop open to guests if requested so shop while you stay steps away. For privacy purposes (for our guests) we keep it closed to the public during occupancy unless a show is scheduled.

The main house, built in 1892 was moved to its current location in 1909 where your hosts reside. Please respect their privacy as they will yours.

Other things to note
Meandering country roads lead to fabulous wineries each with their own panoramic views. Several local farmers markets are nearby while quaint farm stores and cafes with unique delicacies await you. Stop by our neighbors at Kuhlman Farm, who stock their homegrown farm stand daily (walking distance & seasonal). These incredibly tasty fruits and vegetables would pair nicely with a picnic on our 12 acres (blanket and basket provided via host). If you're interested in shopping for plants, Pearson's Nursery (walking distance) is open to the public and carry an array of lovely outdoor varieties. Please respect their privacy and only visit their stands at roadside.

We are located near many places of interest, only 15 minutes from Hillsboro's high tech community, the new Wingspan Event Center and Hillsboro Airport. We have beautiful hiking, wetlands, and nature trails nearby, and you can even leave right from this property for your own picturesque biking adventures (bikes not provided). We are a 40 minute country drive away from Aurora, a charming antiquing town where your host sells out of Three Daisies Vintage. Many popular shops and great restaurants in Aurora so plan on spending the day. If you like to golf, two golf courses and Top Golf are mere minutes away. If you're looking for adventure, we are centrally located from the Coast, mountains, and easy access from Portland.

If doing nothing is on your agenda, take a quiet nap outside while listening to the birds sing their songs. Our panoramic views, pretty sunset sky and cool night breezes will calm all the senses.

Parking for your vehicle(s) is available (rock driveway). Max two at any given time. Parking slots are noted. Quiet time is from 9:00pm-7:00am. We live out here for peace so loud parties are prohibited. This is a non-smoking, non-vaping property inside and out. No candles are permitted unless battery operated.

As seen in photos they are two sets of stairs upon entering. Once inside there are none. Always good to use handrails as they can be slippery when wet.

Named Filbert Hurst in the 1930s (Hurst meaning wooded knoll representative of the 120 acres of filbert trees once planted here and knoll meaning hilltop or peak). If quiet and serene are what you're longing for, this small working farm is where you'll want to stay. A respite from the hustle and bustle of your busy lives. Come unwind!

Being in a rural setting at times you'll see or hear coyotes, deer, ground squirrels, chipmunks, skunks, opossum, & bees or wasps (we do our best to keep this in check with a service). It's a good idea to keep the entry door closed at all times. Screens are on all windows to keep bugs where they belong so enjoy the nightly breezes.

Quiet basement unit, one bedroom with king sized bed bed, and even a meditation room. This space is inspired by Deadstock Coffee in downtown Portland, so we provide all that you need for your very personal cup of coffee, from grinding your beans to brewing the perfect pour over! Of course, we provide the coffee during your stay, and fresh homemade pastries the first morning!! This space is geared more toward people looking for a place to relax and enjoy a nice break, or a quiet work space .

The space
This is an entire basement unit with a separate entrance. There is a shared laundry room in the basement as well. There is a futon in living room for a second guest to sleep.

Guests have a well-lit separate entrance around the side of the house. You also have a designated parking space in the driveway. There is additional free parking in front of the house. Also, we are located one block from the MAX train station which will take you directly to downtown Portland. And, we are walking distance from
from downtown Hillsboro where there are several restaurants, coffee shops, a pub, the farmers market, theaters , and a number of cute little shops .

Upon arrival we would love to meet you, however we leave that up to you. So please communicate your preference . We can meet you outside if you prefer. We will give you the keys, show , you the space, and take care of any needs you may have to ensure you have a safe, comfortable stay.

All surfaces are extensively disinfected prior to our guest’s arrival.  All linens & towels are removed and added back after cleaning & disinfecting.  Disinfecting wipes, disinfectant spray, as well as gloves, are available in the Loft.  We also have masks available upon request.  We normally meet our guests, to check-in and familiarize with the loft. We now will be greeting guests, donned in gloves and masks. However, if a guest would prefer, a request for “social distancing check-in” will be provided, allowing the guest to self-check-in & check-out. We welcome any questions and will accommodate every request to our fullest ability.
