Our modern beach cottage is located in the heart of Seaside, just steps from the Promenade. Step out the back door and take a stroll along the walking path into downtown Seaside or down to the beach for a picnic or bonfire. Our beautifully decorated home features a luxury kitchen, fully equipped with high-end appliances and all the necessities you need to prepare delicious meals with your friends and family. The 8-person dining room table, washer and dryer, WiFi, and luxury linens make our home feel like your home.

It's a spacious and cozy four-bedroom, a two-full-bathroom house that can accommodate 8 guests comfortably. Downstairs features a full bathroom and a bedroom with a king-size bed. Upstairs we have 2 ocean-view bedrooms one with a queen bed and another with a king-sized bed. The third upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and two twin beds. The upstairs full bathroom has plenty of beach towels and counter space for all the guests.

We also have a brand hot tub for you to fully relax in our backyard.

The main room has a beautiful vaulted ceiling and majestic river rock fire place. This room has a 42' flat panel TV, , CableTV, and WI-FI. A very large dinning room table seats 10 guests.

The fully equipped , well stocked kitchen is perfect for cooking up a gourmet family meal. Eat in kitchen table with direct access to the large deck with a propane gas grill, and fire pit below! 2outdoor tables for eating plus plenty of deck chairs.

Our Coastie Cozy Cottage has been a relaxing getaway for our family for years. We loved loading our wagon with beach supplies and walking just a few blocks down to the beach. - "It was such a great home to come in and stay at.It was the perfect amount of space for us 2. The bedrooms are a little small but the house made up in space in the dinning room and back yard with all the amenities it offered. The Ilima House is a romantic one-bedroom cottage by the sea. Less than two blocks from the beach and a few minutes from town, this is the perfect weekend getaway.

The space
This cozy cottage on the Oregon Coast is perfect for individuals or couples to enjoy a beach getaway. Centrally located, the house is just 1.5 blocks from the beach and a short 10-minute walk from restaurants, shopping and local attractions. Whether for a quick trip or extended stay, guests can enjoy conversations by the fire and long walks on the promenade at the Ilima Cottage.

The Ilima Cottage offers free onsite parking and a micro lawn to sit out and enjoy the ocean breeze.

This quaint home is located on a large fenced in lot just 1 block from the beach with off-street parking. The detached garage includes supplies for crabbing, clamming, biking, roller blading, sand toys, skim boards, wood & firepit, kites, and a ping pong table. Our little beach house was built in 1924 and has been in the Scott family for over 50 years. We allow up to 2 dogs and there is a $50 extra cleaning for them. If not bringing dogs, the $50 extra fee will be credited back to you.

The space
Your Oregon Coast vacation will be unforgettable in our cozy cottage. We are only 150 yards from the beach and at the very end of the Promenade. The attractions of downtown Seaside are accessible by a pleasant walk or stroll along the Promenade or down the beach. The Oregon Coast Aquarium is fun pit stop along the Prom, where you can feed fish to the barking seals, see the marine life, and learn a little about the coastal ecosystem. On Broadway, you'll also find a full-block arcade, amusement rides, mini golf, bumper cars, and the carousel mall with some fun shops inside. Don't forget to stop in at the iconic Candy Man shop with the largest selection of salt water taffy in town.

We are also only 150 yards away from the 12th street bridge and city park where you can catch crabs and the kids can play! Just over 12th street bridge is our favorite spot to rent sand bikes or surreys. Riding around Seaside in a bike surrey with your loved ones is one of the best ways to see and experience this quaint town, and is great leg workout too!

Our kitchen is equipped with all of your basic cooking needs and has a small coffee maker, toaster, blender, and large electric skillet. There is a small BBQ in the garage you are welcome to use, along with an outdoor fire pit. Please use these in the graveled or paved areas of the property.

Parking notes: Please park in the driveway rather than the street. There is plenty of room for two cars. Thank you for your cooperation.

Dog notes: If you are bringing your furry friends please no more than 2 dogs allowed. There will be an extra cleaning charge of $50 for dogs that is already built into the cleaning fee. If NOT bringing dogs, this $50 will be credited back to you at the end of you stay. Thanks!

Full access to entire cottage and garage. Guests will check-in by keyless entry. The access code will be given the morning of your check-in date.

Other things to note
If bringing a dog, PLEASE keep them off all furniture and beds and clean up after them in the yard-nobody likes to step in poop! And NO CATS allowed. We are highly allergic to cats and cannot have their pet dander in our home, sorry. There is a wonderful outdoor shower area located off the front porch to wash off and keep all the sand and dirt outside where it belongs. There are also plenty of beach/dog towels available for use on the laundry room shelves. Thank you for respecting our cottage:)

South Columbia Cottage is the quintessential beach cottage that serves as the perfect backdrop for your memorable coastal vacation. Lovingly renovated in 2021, our cozy get-away is only two blocks from the beach and three from the shops, restaurants, and entertainment of Broadway. Toast marshmallows on the secluded deck, take a sunset stroll on the Prom, lounge in bed with the latest bestseller, and explore the northern Oregon coast from our family get away.

The space
The McMahon's built the cottage in 1947. They had one daughter, Marjorie, who most likely enjoyed the home's proximity to the bumper cars on Broadway and family strolls on the Promenade. My parent's purchased it after Marjorie passed, and our children have grown up enjoying many a holiday in Seaside.

In 2021, we bought the home from my folks and undertook a significant cottage transformation. Our dear friend - who just happens to be a super-talented, Portland-based interior designer - helped us imagine what could be. South Columbia Cottage is our home away from home, and we're very happy to share it with you.
