Downtown is a one mile walk through a cute neighborhood. Restaurants were great and make sure you have a reservation for some. Cozy LILY Cottage centrally located in Salem, Oregon. Lily Cottage has all the necessities you will need for kitchen, bathroom, living room and outdoor dining area. The cottage has a unique landscape and beautiful scenery. Please be aware during the winter, our leaves have fallen off so it will look a little different. Bonus: Extra loft space upstairs for a peaceful reading nook or an extra twin bed.
The space
There are two bedrooms in the cottage, one has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a full bed. The second bedroom has only a farm door (sliding door). There is a loft upstairs as well that is open and has a twin bed.

You will have access to Lily Cottage through the front gate only. The back is reserved for Rose Cottage Parking.
Other things to note
There is another cottage on the property - "Rose Cottage". This cottage is completely separate from Lily and it has its own entrance. You will not have any shared spaces in the outdoor area, there is a private fence to separate the properties.

This little cottage home has everything you would want or need for the perfect holiday vacation or extended stay, depending on what brings you to Salem. This home is newly built, so all appliances and furnishings are fresh and new. It features quartz countertops, gas stove, 55” smart TV. Upstairs there is a beautiful bathroom with a vanity mirror surrounded by makeup lights and a walk-in shower. The bedroom includes a king-size bed, large walk-in closet and a dedicated workspace. Also upstairs is a new stacking washer and dryer. This little cottage also includes a 1 car garage accommodating a small vehicle.

The cottage is a private retreat where you can relax and take advantage of the special features of the property, including Willamette River frontage, Hot Tub, on-site driving range, fantastic birdwatching and stargazing, plus lots of comfortable outdoor seating on our three decks, and an outdoor firepit. You can even charge your EV (metered, Level 2 - J1772 and NACS plugs available). Parking space is available for up to two cars and secure storage space for your bikes or kayaks is available upon request.

Inside the cottage you will have a queen sized bed with luxury linens, a small seating area with two upholstered chairs, a smart TV with access to Premium DirecTV programming and streaming services, and a kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave, sink, coffee maker, tea kettle and all dishes, glassware, flatware and utensils). The kitchenette is also stocked on the day you check-in with complimentary bottled water, coffee, tea, half n’ half, bagels, cream cheese, local jam, butter, nut butters and oatmeal. The recently remodeled bathroom has a Toto Washlet bidet toilet with heated seat and a luxurious tiled shower. We provide a hairdryer, and quality soaps, shampoo and conditioner.

The outdoor area includes a connected deck with seating area, table with seating for six and a year-round hot tub. You also have access to the entire 1.7 acre property, which also includes a larger deck with dining area and a smaller “stargazing” deck at the end of the property.

- "Great property. Very cute, but could use some tweaks in functionality, especially if you have luggage for a longer trip. The hanging closet is too close and an awkward reach over the toilet so did not use. Hot water was not consistent and outside security light kept getting triggered, perhaps by a weather vane in the garden. Despite this, loved the complex and the common area. This cottage offers a vintage vibe with modern conveniences and comfort. We purchased it in the summer of 2021 and have done an extensive remodel. The kitchen and bath are all new, new appliances, a full size washer /dryer, new flooring, all new flooring, paint.

The furnishings are clean, cozy and comfortable.
Beds are new and highly rated.

The neighborhood is quiet, deer are often seen in front yards, yet shopping is a 3 min drive and historic downtown 1/2 mile a way.

The space
We remodeled the cottage so when you arrive, it is easy to rest, work or explore. The kitchen has a counter bar for food or a computer. The laundry room is next to the kitchen and has an exterior entrance as well. We do have a garage we use for storage, but we can accommodate bikes and some recreational toys.
We have an owners suite with a separate entrance that we use or sometimes host other guests. That suite has it's own deck and has only one shared wall. The shared wall is the bathroom in the cottage and a hall in the owner's suite.

We love animals and welcome a maximum of 2 pets. Our pet fee is $3 per night per pet and is billed through AirBnb once you have checked in. To keep the cottage and furnishing at a high quality for all guests, pets are not allowed on any furniture including beds.

The driveway is for your dedicated use. It would accommodate 2 vehicles tandem style. We love to walk, and everything we need is close enough to do so.

The host(s) home is located across the driveway from the cottage. Though it appears close in proximity the cottage has total privacy. During summer months our farm is very busy farming and harvesting so there is farm and harvest equipment within just a few feet from the back entrance of the cottage. We ask that you please be respectful of our farming operation.

The Cottage has a full size deck and a front and back yard. If you are interested in taking a tour of our farm please let me know when you arrive and either my husband or I will try our best to accommodate. However, please know during harvest it could be more difficult to schedule.

Other things to note
We do have animals on the farm which include 3 horses, 2 dogs and 2 barn cats. We split our horses between our place and another farm property. The dogs are only here when our son is helping us on the farm and the barn cats live in the barn. The dogs and barn cats can be friendly and know the cottage quite well. They may come and visit you at the back door of the cottage. You may pet them if you like but please DO NOT let any animals in the cottage. These are farm pets and we do not allow them in any of our homes.

Cozy LILY Cottage centrally located in Salem, Oregon. Lily Cottage has all the necessities you will need for kitchen, bathroom, living room and outdoor dining area. The cottage has a unique landscape and beautiful scenery. Please be aware during the winter, our leaves have fallen off so it will look a little different. Bonus: Extra loft space upstairs for a peaceful reading nook or an extra twin bed.

The Ellis House was recently renovated with an updated bathroom, back deck, new roof, electrical, heating, air conditioning, and kitchen appliances. Keep in mind that this little house is over 112 years old and its "charm" includes original cabinets and counters, squeaky and slanting floors, doors that stick, and original wavy glass windows that no longer open.
Small pet may be permitted with prior approval and payment of $100 per month.
