- "Cute, comfortable cabin a short walk to the beach and a fantastic breakfast cafe. Communication with host was easy and thorough. It could feel tight with more than two people." - "We enjoyed our stay! The sink was slow to drain in the bathroom when we arrived. Also, there were two outside chairs broken and the tile floors were very dirty. Take pictures of any damage or mess when you get there and send them to the owner immediately! After we left, I received a scolding text from the owner saying the place was left a mess and the housekeepers had to stay an extra hour and a half to clean our filth! I KNOW I left it better than I received the home! I even scrubbed the tile floors with my own equipment and cleaning products. I am a professional house cleaner. I had to! Anyway! I think the owner’s housekeepers were not being honest with her and claiming more hours to get more pay !!! I feel bad for the owner if this is the case. Everything else was fine. Close proximity to the beach is probably this rentals selling point."

We had an excellent time, and it was the perfect location for a big group to enjoy walking down to the coastline. The only issues we ran into was actually getting into the cottage—our codes didn't work—but Vacasa support staff were able to get us sorted within an hour to get into that property." - "Lived up to the hype!" - "We had our family reunion in this two property location. Nice batgrooms." - "This was the perfect house for our family of 11- 7 adults and 4 children. Because we had exceptional weather, we were able to enjoy the deck for all of our meals and the children played on the climbing structure. "Ebb and Flow" is located on Siletz Bay where ocean and river mingle creating a dynamic and diverse, environment. Twice each day, Siletz Bay’s estuary is the stage for a slow, stately drama influenced by the moon, the sun, the wind, and the rain. Flowing channels, branching and winding across the broad sandflats, are filled with incoming ocean waters. As the bay fills, the rising tide spreads slowly across the Siletz Bay. The ever-deepening waters lift the eelgrass, fill the countless burrows, and creep into tiny channels that penetrate the salt marshes. Finally, the waters surge upstream to the edge of the forest and gently lift trailing branches of rhododendron and cedar. The Siletz Bay estuary is full.

For a moment, the drama pauses. Then as the earth turns, the ocean's push becomes a pull, and the waters of the Siletz Bay estuary recede. Before long, logs at the edge of the salt marsh are grounded on the sand, the eelgrass lies limp and flat, and tiny creatures are stranded in isolated pools of water warming in the sun. Red tailed hawks, bald eagles, and other raptors are seen roosting and a variety of estuarine dependent birds including great blue heron, great egret and many species of waterfowl are foraging in the tidally influenced waters. But in a short time, the cycle will begin again....

The Jetty Cozy Cottage is located on rustic lot with wetland habitat at the end of a residential neighborhood. It's only a short 3 minute walk to a semi-secluded area of Siletz bay. Sip coffee on the back porch while listening for eagles, great blue herons and beautiful song birds. Go clamming in the bay for soft-shell and purple varnish clams. Have a beer overlooking the bay from Pelican Brewery, only a block away. Relax around the fire-pit after a day of adventures roasting marshmallows. You will be just a short drive to many local attractions!

Our cozy cottage is a unique plot of land with wetland habitat, it's the best of the coast, close to the beach but like being in a cabin in the woods. Only a 3 minute walk to the bay! A wonderful spot to unwind and relax. At approximately 320 square feet this little cottage is perfect for couple to get away. You can play board games in front of the electric fireplace on a rainy day. Watch Netflix from the loveseat or bed, the smart TV is on a swivel mount that can be adjusted to any position you need. The kitchen comes equipped with everything you need to make a delicious meal or cook some clams from the bay. We have all the kitchen essentials for cooking, but please note we do not have an oven. There is a microwave, glass cook-top stove, toaster, coffee maker and mini fridge with freezer. The kitchen also has a small bar table for two to enjoy your meals, or you can eat al fresco on the back patio bistro table. We also have a clam gun, and crab ring for guests to use located in the shed. You will find skewer sticks in the shed as well to roast marshmallows over the fire-pit. During 4th of July you can sit on the front porch and watch the firework show that the city puts on from Siletz bay!

Guest access
You will have access the whole property including the shed, the only space off limits is the loft. Per the city we are not allowed to let guests use the loft because they do not allow the use of ladders in vacation rentals. Do not try and take the ladder down as it could cause damage to the rafters and wall, any damage that occurs from not following this rule will result in you paying for damages.

Other things to note
This is our little piece of paradise that we like to visit. At this time we are not allowing pets, but we do bring our own here when we visit. We visit a few times a year with our dogs.

We do not have laundry facilities, but there are public laundromats in town.

We do have a couple of reed diffusers that have a light scent.

The area has a feeling of being secluded, but with the convenience of being within walking distance to the bay and restaurants. This is a residential neighborhood with a mix of full time residents and vacation homes. Our property is unique, rustic and wild. We are in a dead zone for cell service. You can connect to the WiFi though once you arrive.

We provide coffee, tea, sugar and creamer.

We are located amongst the wild habitat, so on occasion you may find a spider or rolly polly in the house. We do have someone come out quarterly to spray and try and mitigate their intrusion into the cottage. Salty air and coastal storms are very hard on our homes here at the coast. We do our best to keep up with maintenance. If you notice anything that needs attention, please let us know!

We are in a Tsunami hazard zone. Please study the included evacuation map in the welcome booklet. A test alarm is done every Wednesday between 11am-12pm. This will only sound for a few seconds. In a real emergency the alarm will sound for several minutes.

We do have two security cameras on site, one near the back porch and one under the carport. These are turned off after guests arrive.
