This adorable two-level Manzanita vacation rental is just steps from the beach, shops, galleries, and restaurants. With unique touches and ocean views, you and your guests will have a memorable experience in this beautiful space. Outside, there's a yard for kids to play, partially surrounded by trees. And just about two houses away - beach access! Enjoy seven miles of beautiful, flat, sandy beach. Run, fly kites, or bring a picnic down to the beach and spend a sunny afternoon watching the waves roll in.

Several day trip destinations are nearby, including Cannon Beach for gallery browsing and antiquing in Wheeler, less than 15 miles away. Museums and the Fort George Brewery in Astoria are about 40 miles north, with plenty of opportunities for photo-taking along the way.

Inside, you will be enveloped in warm pastels and plenty of windows. Do a little storm-watching out the west-facing upstairs windows. The main living area is upstairs, decorated with an eye-catching shabby chic aesthetic. With colors like blue, greens, and yellows, this space has a decidedly clean, beachy feel. Lounge back on the couch and watch a DVD on the TV, or choose some board games to play with the group.

In the open kitchen, cheery bright yellow cabinets greet you, as well as all the major appliances you'll need for whipping up a pot of satisfying clam chowder or pan-roasting some steaks. 3ONE8 is the perfect escape for couples and small families who enjoy high end furnishings in a casual and modern setting. Twenty years ago we gutted a 1930s 650 square foot fishing shack and expanded the footprint to create a three bedroom, two bath beach house. A labor of love, Sunbursts boasts three beautiful cedar sunbursts, three decks and a porch, a propane stove, and is nestled among heavy foliage just 4 blocks from the ocean.
Sunbursts' three bedrooms are cozy, one with a queen sized bed and two with full sized beds. A study just off the large, airy kitchen holds a sleeping bench. Two full baths, and a large living room area with DVD/video player complete the 1050 sq. ft. layout. The cabin is complete with linens, dishes, etc. with a drawer full of family games and puzzles, and a great collection of books and films. Wifi is available 24/7.
Manzanita's Hoffman Cultural Center programs events and just up the highway is Astoria with its Victorian houses and amazing maritime center, and Canon Beach with its art galleries. Our family friendly cottage is nestled just a block away from Neahkanie Beach (the north end of Manzanita beach) and is the perfect retreat for your next getaway. With partial ocean views from every west-facing window, your family can enjoy a short walk to the beach and experience the beauty of the coast. Rinse off in the outdoor shower and warm up in the 7 person hot tub. Enjoy a cozy wood-burning fireplace for stormy days or take in breathtaking sunsets on the deck with a glass of wine.

Our beach cottage has been thoughtfully updated for a comfortable stay, but maintains the original charm of a true coastal cottage. We frequent it ourselves and have stocked it with everything needed for a relaxing coastal getaway. Conveniently located close to the beach, it's an easy walk along the sand to downtown Manzanita's shops and restaurants. The west facing deck takes advantage of partial ocean views while the back yard is perfect for lawn games. The back patio has an outdoor shower (available in all but the coldest months) and a large 7 person hot tub.

Guests have access to the entire house and yard. Guests are welcome to use all of the outdoor games and beach supplies in the first stall of the garage.

Cozy beach cabin getaway. The cabin is located in the heart of Manzanita. It is a one minute walk to the San Dune Tavern and the Little Apple Deli store and many other shops and eateries. There is a fire pit in the back and horseshoe pits in the side yard. It comes with 2 off-street parking spots. It is a 2 block walk down Laneda avenue to the beach.

The dining room table seats 8.

We allow one pet but we do not allow pets in the bedrooms or on the furniture. We have added this rule because we have been charged significant extra cleaning fees from our cleaning staff who have had to remove pet hair hair on the beds and furniture. We also ask that you clean up after your pet in the yard. The property has a fence around the sides and back but is open in the front.

However, it is not be suitable for taller guests or those who prefer more headroom.

The cabin staircase holds a captivating story! The wood used for the staircase is said to have come from the Glenesslin, a renowned square-rigged British ship built in 1885, that crashed into the base of Neahkanie mountain in 1913.

Local legend has it that the staircase was salvaged from this ship, becoming a cherished part of this house during its original construction in 1920. Come see if for yourself!
