Our Charming 2 bedroom home features 2 quiet bedrooms with queen beds, a clean updated kitchen, and separate comfortable living space. Just off the 101 in a serene setting, just a 5 minute walk on a quiet street from the whale watching lookout, Depoe Bay Harbor and the shops of downtown. Easy access for those early morning Whale watching or fishing tours! A wonderful central location from which to visit the beaches up and down the coast towards Newport and Lincoln City. Distant Ocean Views!

It a cute little 2 bedroom house with a private hot tub, picnic table, hammock, shares parking lot and laundry space with the adjacent house. We are 2 rows of houses from the Ocean, there are distant Ocean Views, the smell of sea salt in the air, and gulls squawking overhead. You can access several secret lookout/ overlook spots in our neighborhood, or there is a very short walk to the Whale observatory on the main street, with all the restaurants and shops, as well as the access to the harbor for Whale tours and fishing.

Inside the house we have two cozy queen beds in separate bedrooms with room darkening shades and a TV in each with wifi so you can log in to your streaming services. In the living room there is a comfortable sofa that could sleep 2 kids, and a pack n play. Not really suitable for 6 adults, but if you want to squeeze in we generally are willing to allow it. The living room is cozy with a small electric fireplace for when the fog rolls in and you want to hunker down with a good book. we also have a games closet with lots of family friendly fun options. The kitchen is stocked with basic spices, instant pot, toaster, blender, microwave, stove, fridge...all the essentials. If you need something in particular please feel free to ask if we provide it!

The suggestions in the check-in email were great. The arcade was fun and the neighborhood was quiet. Other reviews mention an uneven floor, which is true, but not really an issue. It seems to be typical of a lot of older buildings in the area; we noticed similar issues in one of the high-end shops. Quick drive to Lincoln City and Newport. Our favorite beach to go to was Fogarty Creek Beach, which is a short 5 minute drive to the north. Janelle was great to work with on check-in and quickly resolved a minor technical issue. We also contacted her ahead of time to see if there were folding chairs in the unit that we could take to the beach. She said there weren't but shortly after told us she ordered some and had them at the unit in time for our stay. We would definitely recommend staying here!"

KITCHEN AND DINING
Enjoy this classic eat-in kitchen with everything you could need. The kitchen is completely equipped and ready for your home-cooked meal! Salad spinner, blender, spices, oils, etc.! Outstanding View AND Location!
On the Deschutes River in the heart of Bend, this cozy cottage on a quiet street will give you the vacation experience you have been dreaming of. The setting is so relaxing you may not make it to all the outdoor recreation Central Oregon is famous for. Directly on the Deschutes river for a fabulous view from the living room, kitchen, deck and yard!
The small home features; free wi-fi, full, efficient, well appointed kitchen, washer, dryer, luxury linens of high thread count pure cotton, outdoor deck and fenced yards, front and back.
The amphitheater concert venue is also just a half mile upstream.
This charming home is walking distance to Bend's downtown through the lovely Drake Park that hugs the eastern bank of the Deschutes River.
Although the river current may look calm just in front of the cottage it is quite swift cold and strong. A good swimmer could still be swept downstream easily. Not a safe location for young children!
Our cottage is just about 900 square feet, so it is the definition of cozy. We keep it very clean, homey and traditional with quality touches. A lovely gas fire heats the main living areas of this cottage. The bedrooms and bathroom have their own fairly quiet wall heaters. This cottage does NOT have central air although we have fans for every room, and a portable A/C unit if the weather gets very hot and is not predicted to be cooling down at night. The nights usually cool down nicely and we have provided fans to keep air moving.
The high thread count linens of pure cotton; down, and down alternative pillows outfit the bedrooms. Down, and down alternative duvets will keep you warm on chilly nights.
The cottage is also walking distance to the Old Mill District with it's recognizable shops, restaurants, and multi-cinemas. Bend's downtown, in the other direction, features charming old historic buildings and many weekends is host to the seasonal festivals and 'First Friday (of the month) Art Walks'.
Columbia Park is just a five minute walk up the quiet street and over the footbridge up-stream from the cottage. Miller landing is also just upstream, up the road, about 5 minutes.
Walk to many of the micro-breweries Bend is also so famous for. Being on the west side, there are many small restaurants and food trucks/trailers/carts featuring many different offerings.
There are 2 bikes available for use. (We can be sure to have the tires inflated and in working order if you let us know you would like to use them.) There are also 2 stand up paddle boards for use we will have ready if you let us know as well.
For inside the cottage entertainment, besides the local television stations ABC NBC CBS, we have a small library of DVD's, and videos to choose from, and a 'Roku' for access to Netflix, Prime, or other apps. with your own account. Watch your selections on the 42 inch TV screen. We also have a selection of books, puzzles and games (dominoes, checkers, Parcheesi, Scrabble, cards etc.)
An AM/FM radio, CD and ipod (old) doc is also available.
The West side of Bend is also very close to Century Drive, the road to Mt. Bachelor, home to winter recreation. Skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and skating as well as snow tubing available through the winter and usually until the end of May! Ice skating is also available just a few minutes walk up river at the new ice skating rink (winter only). Between the cottage and Century Drive are ski shops for all your recreational needs including rentals of skis, snowboards and snowshoes.
We have attended to all the details we have found so nice in vacation rentals we have enjoyed.
Many of our guests have told us they do not wish to give a review as not to 'spoil their special spot' or find their favorite vacation time has been taken. We welcome repeat guests who would like to book with us and we work with principals only (do not ask to rent if you will not be staying and paying for yourself).
We are keeping the cottage hypoallergenic so pets are not allowed. (Any evidence of pet smuggling, will be billed from your security deposit at a rate we determine.)
Even in the winter it is always a lovely view of the river and very cozy and warm with the radiant gas stove.

This house is located on Bend’s popular west side across the street from wonderful local favorites like 10 Barrel Brewing Company, Ariana’s, The Lot food cart court, and other fine dining and shops. Don’t miss the amazing Eggs Benedict and designer Bloody Mary’s at The Victorian Café (nicknamed The Vic by us locals) on the corner right across the street from the house. It is a great way to start that FUN Bend day! You can easily walk to the historic downtown, festivals, art shows, or to convenient outdoor recreational rentals… Or you can hop onto the TWO bikes we provide during the warmer summer months and peddle around. Stroll just five blocks and you are standing on the banks of the Deschutes River in iconic Drake Park. This walkable location makes it easy to put your inner tube in the Deschutes at The Old Mill and float the river right into Drake Park, with a short stroll home to the cottage.

This is a private, standalone house exclusively for guest use. The house, grounds, hot tub, and off-street parking area are unshared. We have complete contactless check-in for the convenience and safety of our guests.

All towels, linens and bedding are included. We also leave guests a small amount of starter supplies including: toilet paper, paper towels, dish and laundry soaps, hand soaps, bath soap, shampoo, and coffee bar items mentioned above. We also provide blow dryers, iron and ironing board. Please plan accordingly to bring anything else you may wish to have with you on your trip.

Dear Mom Thai Café was some of the best Thai food we have ever had outside of Thailand. Also, being vegetarian, Active Culture vegetarian restaurant was a great find and is located a short walk away across the Columbia Park bridge. Erin was a great host and was very quick to respond to all of our inquiries. We will definitely stay here again if it is available next time we are in Bend."
