The Alliance Tabernacle Church, built in 1923, is reported to be the first house of worship west of the Mississippi to be built entirely by volunteers from the congregation. By the 1970s the building had fallen into disrepair. Beginning in October 2014 the current owners began the process of restoring the building to it's original condition under the supervision of the Historic Landmark Commission. This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit.

There are 2 security camera's on the property. The first one is a video doorbell and the second one is downstairs in the hallway to the maintenance room. Only video is captured, not audio.

We are in an extremely safe and quiet neighborhood in northeast Bend. The studio sits above a detached garage and has its own private entrance so you can enjoy your independence and solitude.

Within its 380 square feet, there is a queen bed, 55" Android TV, a recliner, breakfast bar with stools, an office desk with multiple outlets and an office chair, a fully furnished kitchen, in unit washer and dryer, closet, full bathroom with a large shower and bidet, an outdoor storage closet and extra space to store your gear. All utilities including trash are included. You will also enjoy views of Mt. Bachelor from the comforts of your bed!

We are approximately 20 minutes from the Redmond Municipal Airport, 24 minutes from Sisters, and 30 minutes from Mt. Bachelor. The Cascade Village Shopping Center has multiple restaurants and shopping and is about 5 minutes away while downtown and the Old Mill District are both about a 10 minute drive.

If you enjoy going to parks, we are located right next to the 36 acre Rockridge Community Park and about 1.8 miles from the 159 acre Pine Nursery Park.

There are multiple breweries within biking distance including 10 Barrel, Bridge 99, and Craft.

As comfortable as we know you’ll be in the studio, you must get out and experience all Bend has to offer. Hiking, fishing, golf, lakes, rivers, Mt. Bachelor, beautiful sightseeing and many more activities are within a 30 minute drive.
We think you’ll enjoy your stay without getting in your car at all. Within blocks you can visit local brew pubs and a great assortment of restaurants and shops. Beautiful downtown Bend is a 15 minute walk, or, a short bike ride on bikes we provide. Our vacation rental is a private 1 bedroom, 1 bath above the garage space with a full kitchen, open living/dining space and outdoor deck! You are detached from the main house and have lots of privacy.

The entire home and patio is yours! A lock box and code will be provided so you are free to come and go! You will have one designated parking space in front of the entrance and there is also street parking available if needed. This is a second floor dwelling, so you must be able to navigate stairs; some without a railing!

This is a above the garage home and we use the garage regularly (especially in Winter).

Monday through Friday we leave for work early (~6am). You will hear the garage. Most guests are undisturbed but if you are a light sleeper you will hear us!

The Old Murph Guesthouse is an 800sqft private accessory dwelling unit with 2 beds & 1 bathroom. The space features brand new appliances, cabinetry, countertops, hardwood floors, bathroom, and everything you would expect from a modern new construction.

Both rooms have comfortable queen Tuft & Needle mattresses. The beds also include an assortment of pillows for different sleeping preferences.

Toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, extra rolls of toilet paper are all provided.

The kitchen is stocked with necessities such as: brand new fridge with filtered water & ice maker, pots, pans, coffee maker, french press, toaster.

All necessary dish-ware is provided: silverware, plates, bowls, cups, wine glasses.

The washer + dryer are typically for guests staying for longer stays. If you need access to the laundry room in the unit, please let us know.

Private/keyless entry to access the unit. The passcode & instructions are provided the day before you check-in.

Other things to note
Guest house is above the garage. Potential to hear garage door opening/closing.

Near a roundabout, please expect some street noise during rush hour times on weekdays.

We are dog friendly. With that said, if your dog cannot be left alone without crying or barking, we ask that you do not leave your dog in the unit alone

**Also no dogs on or in the beds. Please bring a dog floor bed or a crate.

The space
This new net-zero one bedroom guesthouse is very comfortable, quiet, and close to everything Bend has to offer. Walking distance to many restaurants, bars, Deschutes River and downtown Bend.

The large balcony is perfect for entertaining guests. Use the grill to make some food, or just hang out with some beverages, and take in the view.

There is plenty of additional parking available on the other side of the street.

Other things to note
Just 20 minutes to Mount Bachelor (downhill and cross country resort). Even closer are numerous sno-parks and community organized cross country areas, and snowmobile tracks. Tremendous access to backcountry skiing / split-boarding options.
