Also make sure that if you want the room with the soaking tub or the one with the jacuzzi tub, you request them when you reserve--not every room has a tub at all. I do plan to return--and I've snagged the room with the jacuzzi tub already!"

- "Beautiful views! I loved my stay which enabled me to work remotely with no internet issues and enjoy time with my daughters. They explored the area from Newport Bay to Depoe Bay and Siletz Bay during the day while I worked and we met up at the beach or a restaurant later in the day. We all enjoyed a little fire in the fire pit looking out over the ocean. The balcony was a lovely spot as well. There's a dog park near by which our small dog enjoyed. It was very easy to balance work and play with a great location right off the highway but high enough up to not see the highway, just ocean!"

- "The home is in the perfect location, during low tide you can see anemones and starfish just steps from the front door. The home needed a few repairs but it was fairly clean and comfortable." - "Great place to stay in Newport Oregon. Traveled there to see family for three days. This townhouse is in a really great location. It is right by the Yaquina Bay Bridge and fronts onto the jetty channel from Newport Bay. It was fun to watch all of the wildlife move around and to see the boats coming and going. This is a two level unit with all of the main living space upstairs. The living area has a slider that opens to a balcony, so you can go out and watch the amazing sunsets. Really nice kitchen, with plenty of dishes, pans, etc. The upper bedroom is large with a nice king bed and en suite bath with a walk-in shower. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and the other bath is down the hall with a tub/shower combo. We didn't use the downstairs since it was just the two of us. Would highly recommend. It is located by several fantastic restaurants and great beaches. Will be staying here again and again when we come to Newport to visit family and enjoy the Oregon coast."

Very nice, clean, and lovely hardwood flooring. However, BE CAREFUL on the steep stairs! My friend slipped and fell all the way down. She was basically okay, but we were both quite cautious going either up or down the slippery, hard-wood-floored steps after her fall. There was one window in the living area that offered a view of the ocean, which is just down the street, but there is no beach access. It is a drop off, with no trail. You can sit or stand there to watch the waves, but you need to go somewhere else to actually walk on the shore. It was a very nice place, quite relaxing and lovely. If steep, slippery steps do not deter you (we are old, fat, and not in good fitness), then I would highly recommend the house."

Our little cottage has ocean peaks from the west facing windows in the kitchen and bedroom. It is a short walk to anything you want; the beach is only 3 blocks, The Newport Performing Arts Center, brew pubs and restaurants, grocery store and an array of quaint boutiques are all close. The cottage has one king size bed and one queen size with memory foam mattresses.

A four-poster queen bed gives you a perch for watching TV by the gas fireplace; an additional twin bed sits in its own cozy nook for privacy. The studio kitchenette (microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee station) makes it easy to grab a snack or breakfast on the fold-down table. You can people-watch from your covered deck overlooking bustling Bay Boulevard (Street View)

Newport’s Historic Bayfront is right out your door, with a smorgasbord of eating options, colorful murals, and unique shops; the bustle of activity as the day’s catch comes in off the boats reminds you that this is a working marine town. Enjoy seafood from Clearwater Restaurant, Local Ocean, or Ocean Bleu Seafoods at Gino’s, or bar fare from Rogue Ales Bayfront Public House or the Barge Inn Tavern. Walk further down the Bayfront to see the marina full of fishing boats, or up the hill to enjoy learning about the area’s history in the Pacific Maritime and Heritage Center. Hop in the car, and the Yaquina Lighthouse, Oregon Coast Aquarium, Hatfield Marine Science Center, and Nye Beach are minutes away. Guest access
Guests will enjoy easy ground-level access to Pelican’s Rest, conveniently located on the first floor. Enter through the front door using the smart lock with the provided code, shared before your arrival. No stairs, no hassle—just simple, secure entry, so you can start your beach getaway with ease.

Other things to note
Please be mindful that Pelican’s Rest is located in a building shared with owners and long-term residents. We kindly ask that you respect the community by keeping noise to a minimum, especially during quiet hours.

The pool is closed from September to May, but the hot tub is open year-round for your enjoyment.

For waste disposal, the refuse shed is locked at all times, and a key will be provided for your convenience.

Laundry is available for guests to use but it is coin operated. Bring quarters!
