The back deck of the house has a beautiful view of the wetland and the paved path that leads to the beach/river. You are welcome to fix yourself coffee or tea in the morning or whenever you like. You are welcome to cook light meals in the kitchen.

Other things to note
If you are interested in an ethnic Venezuelan vegan arepa breakfast let me know before your arrival. I can prepare it for $12 per person or $15 served with JUST egg (vegan eggs). Arepas are iconic Venezuelan food. They can be grilled, baked, or fried. The arepa is characteristic of the Venezuelan persona. In recent years with the exodus of millions of Venezuelans due to political oppression the arepa has been taken across the planet so you might be or not familiar with arepas. The breakfast I offer consists of corn-based griddle cakes which is naturally gluten-free acompanied with plant based sour cream, slices of avocado, a sautéed mix of onions and tomatoes, vegan cheese, coffee, tea or juice and fruit.

I have moved back to the house with my husband, my daughter and our three adorable cats: Buruzita, (passed away in October 2021),Kitti Mamis and Pocket. If you want to see them their pictures are the last ones posted in the listing.

Vehicle parking is only allowed in the overflow parking area and home's paved driveways/garages. Incorrectly parked vehicles will be towed at the guests’ expense.
Shorepine has signage throughout the Village addressing No Parking on Roads and includes towing company contact information for homeowners to call.
Fire and Fire Pits:
Open flames are not allowed in the Village other than propane grills, which should be moved away from any structure when in use. All fire pits, whether it is propane or wood, are not allowed. In addition, no fireworks are allowed in the Village. Thank you for your cooperation!

Yes believe it or not, there is more than 1 Haystack Rock In Oregon : ) Ours is located at Cape Kiwanda.
This is an amazingly beautiful place. Its like being in a tree house when you are out on the deck....totally awesome!
Our home is a two story home. We live upstairs. We are not bothered by what is happening downstairs in the least and late hours, laughing and having fun is strongly encouraged! It makes us happy to know you are enjoying our beautiful home : )
The lower floor is open to our guests and is shared with other guests. We have 2 bedrooms that are rented separately. This room has enough space for a cot or air mattress to accommodate an extra person ( Very Cozily). If you are bringing a 3rd person or child ( there is an extra I charge for them) please let me know before you book to make sure there is no conflict with our others guests. Each room has bathrobes for your modesty as the SHARED bathroom is across the hall.
There is a shared cozy living room with DirecTV/DVD player and a nice big covered deck with a 4 person person hot tub. There is more room outside than inside so in the cooler months you should be aware of this but for the most part unless its storming ( which is awesome in its own right.... did I mention its like being in a tree house? ) you will be dry and free of the famous coastal mist.
The lower floor has its own bathroom that is SHARED with other guests with shower and double sinks (this works out great for sharing).

There is now a Kitchenette with a small prep area in the laundry room that is a SHARED SPACE. We just added a 2 burner hot plate, toaster oven that’ll cook a whole chicken or a 14” pizza, new 4 slice toaster with room for bagels, pots & pans, wok, 6 qt instant pot, cooking utensils including salt& pepper, cooking oil. A microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, electric tea kettle, ice maker, and the refrigerator is on the deck. We keep a cooler on the deck for your use as. There is a Propane Barbecue or you can cook over a campfire in the fire pit as well.

We provide a light breakfast in your fridge for morning: Yogurt, Juice, Fresh Fruit, Instant Oatmeal, Applesauce, Coffee, Tea and Hot Cocoa and Apple Cider.
We have Telephone, Wifi, Washer & Dryer, Charcoal Barbecue, a fire table with blankets for staying toasty warm on the deck and a Seasonal Fire Pit. You can bring your own wood or purchase a huge pile with everything to start a fire and from us for $15 (you will need to being cash for this). Lots of parking.
Some Beach Supplies available, just ask.

Our 2 cats are open to roam with their own pet door on the lower floor so they might stop by for a pet although they generally do not spend time downstairs. We have a 7 month old female chocolate lab that might greet you with a bark or a hug and lick or two. We are in training to curb her enthusiasm. We keep her upstairs with us so as not to be in your area but she is a puppy …

We do have an OUTDOOR recording security camera on the premises overlooking the deck entry and parking area. It will be used during the checkin and checkout period. Once your complete party has checked in the cameras is turned off.

We have an Game/Fitness Room.This room is shared with our other guests. It's equipped with an Infrared Sauna, Tanning Bed, Treadmill and Recumbent Bike. Big Screen TV w/ DVD Player, Karoke Machine and an XBox 360 with Kinects.We have limited Xbox Games/ Karaoke Dvds...bring your own if you like. This room is generally available but there are occasions when it is not.

During your stay
I always try to personally greet all of my guests and help get you settled. After that I am around but keep mostly upstairs and am generally available if you need something. Check in starts at 4pm. You can check in any time after that. Please let me know an approximate time and then try and stay to that time as I am waiting for you and plan my day around your arrival. You can let me know if something comes up so I can alter my plans. I like to check in and see how your trip is going. We enjoy sharing our knowledge and love for our area with everyone. So if we are around and you want to chat come on up and have a visit.

It seems to be helpful if you put the address in your phone or Gps or print it out before heading out as the cell service can be sketchy at times. Please do not go to the wrong address this is becoming a problem with the neighbors. If you are unsure please call me.

We do have an OUTDOOR recording security camera on the premises overlooking the deck entry and parking area. It will be used during the checkin and checkout period. Once your complete party has checked in the cameras is turned off.
