There are two queen beds and two mini futons in upstairs bedroom that might serve for children, but not adults. Kitchen needs to be restocked with a few more items. Pretty sparse on cutlery and basic dishwear. As others have mentioned, there is no Internet in the area, so print off what you need to check in. Good wifi once you actually get in unit. Small deck had BBQ which we didn't use. It only had one canvas chair to sit in, which was in terrible shape, so no one wanted to take a chance. Two deck chairs would have been appreciated. There is a row of cabins in front of unit which seem to be long term rentals. Overall this unit is on the small side, but clean and looks at water (partially obscured by cabins in front) "

You may want to take a three-minute drive south to Cape Perpetua, one of the very best viewpoints on the entire coast, which also has fascinating tide pools, great hiking trails, and rugged, rocky coastline. Or, if you want to visit other coastal cities, Florence is a 25-mile drive to the south, and Newport is 25 miles north.

Year round bird activity makes this home appropriately named “The Swallows.” Many call The Swallows “A little piece of heaven”, and it is!

The Swallows is located at the end of a quiet little street on the northwest end of Yachats. The house is just one block from seven miles of sandy beach to the north. To the south is the beginning of the historic 804 Trail which meanders along the coastline with breathtaking views of waves crashing on rocks and scenic sunsets. You can walk the trail all of the way into town which in total is about a half hour walk- one way. Stop off along the trail to the Adobe for a meal in their oceanfront restaurant.

You can see the ocean from the living room and dining room and on a nice day sit out on the deck with a cup of tea, soaking in the rays and listening to the sounds of the pounding ocean. The house is a very comfortable, bright , cheery, well stocked abode that is cozy in all seasons, with warm fluffy blankets and comfortable beds.

On a rainy day, enjoy a walk along the 804 Trail and then come home to snuggle in front of the cozy gas fireplace. Curl up with a book from the bookshelf, or enjoy a puzzle or game provided for your pleasure. If you’re a Duck or Beaver fan, you can even grab a game on the television.

We love dogs and gladly welcome yours, though we do ask that you pick up after them and keep them off the furniture and blankets. Dog towels are provided for you as well. We do have a 2 dog limit.
