The kitchen overlooks the bar seating and a dining room with a wood table for 8+ and a huge living room, with gas fireplace, 75" flat screen TV with a thunderous sound bar, luxurious couches, game table and a massive Brazilian Rosewood coffee table. The great room has large windows overlooking a bustling historic urban setting surrounded by shopping, other beautiful historic buildings, eateries, and riverfront paths for biking or hiking. The entire interior has oak, fir and tile flooring.. There is a massive 17' high, bright game room at the other end of the central hallway with a slate standard size pool table, couch with hidabed and bar table with chairs, a separate stereo system and a TV visible throughout the room. Nestled in an established neighborhood and adjoining farm land. Enjoy the fresh air as you view the Willamette Valley from the deck, stroll the Japanese garden, or enjoy watching the fish and birds in the pond or water fountain. Feel free to explore the property, enjoy the gardens, and help yourself to the seasonal produce in the garden or blackberries, raspberries, & grapes in the backyard.

Our home offers a gourmet kitchen with Viking gas range and new stainless steel fridge, double ovens, dishwasher, & microwave in 2021. Vaulted entry and living room with plenty of space for the whole family. Help yourself to the books, dvd's, games, and toys located in the basement theatre room. Yamaha grand piano & piano music in the living room. The deck and outdoor barbeque area has ample seating. Guests have access to the entire house, minus the garage, master closet, and basement apartment. We are located in North Albany which is 5-15 minutes to OSU, Albany, or Corvallis.

If your special event exceeds 16 guests we charge an additional $2,000 venue fee (not to exceed 30 guests due to limited parking). This fee is an additional fee on top of the regular occupancy rate. (Occupancy rate is not to exceed 16 people). If this is something you’re interested in, let me know and I will send you an offer with the additional fee. This additional fee is for the event itself. You would be in charge of any additional garbage. We do not allow any rented equipment like chairs, tables, canopies, unless you have prior approval. Our home and gardens offer a perfect backdrop for weddings, receptions, family reunions, birthday parties, and/or special events…. But you will need prior approval and need to pay the additional $2,000 venue fee for the extra wear and tear on our home.

We have 3 outdoor cameras around the house. Please do not tamper with them. They are linked to our thermostat and we’ve had to get a repair man to service it in the past. Any tampering with the cameras or indoor electrical boxes will be charged a $500 fine.

We have a separate 800 square-foot basement apartment that my husband and I may stay in for a portion or all of your stay. This apartment has a separate entrance from the house. If we are in town you will more than likely not even know we are home because we are quiet and keep to ourselves. If you’re staying more than a week we will coordinate a time to mow the lawn so we do not disrupt any gatherings. There is an option to rent this space for an additional $350 per night. We only rent it to 5 star guests who are staying for at least a week. Message me if this is something you are interested in and I can send you a special offer. This space has a living room, kitchenette, one bedroom, and bathroom.

- "My sisters and I stayed here for two nights and took a day trip to the Ankeny vineyard which was close by. The house was great, nicely decorated and furnished. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very spacious and well stocked with utensils, pans and dishes (just needed a rubber spatula but we made it work without one!) - we cooked several meals. The Monteith Historic District is named after Thomas and Walter Monteith, two Scotsmen who traveled west from Albany, New York, in the 1840s and built the first frame house in the city in 1849. That house has has now been restored as the Monteith House Museum and looks almost the same today as it did when the Monteiths lived there, even including some of their original furnishings.
Other highlights of the Monteith District include stunning churches such as the Whitespires Church, (1891), known for its soaring spire and Carpenter Gothic architecture; and the United Presbyterian Church (1912), a Gothic-style stone building modeled after an English Gothic Cathedral. Both churches feature original stained glass windows. Don’t-miss residential architecture in the Monteith District includes the Cathey House, a 1906 Georgian Revival at 730 Washington. With its two-story portico and square columns, it’s sometimes called “The White House.”

Many distinct architectural styles grace the District. Included are Federal, Craftsman, Classical Revival, Gothic Revival, Italianate, Queen Anne, French Second Empire, Stick, Eastlake, Colonial Revival, Rural Vernacular, Transitional Box, Bungalow, American Renaissance, Depression/WWII Cottages, and eclectic hybrids that combine elements of these styles.

This two bedroom remodeled downtown historic house, is a comfortable clean stay minutes away from all that Albany has to offer. You can cozy up in the living room with a book or a good show. The full modern kitchen has all the amenities for a enjoyable stay. The bedrooms have luxury queen mattresses and professionally laundered sheets, nightstand lamps have plug for charger. The fully remolded bathroom still holds some of it 100+ year charm with the set in medicine cabinet and cedar closet. The house has a private driveway that can fit 2 vehicles.
