- "Friends and I booked a house for a friend's work-related event. The property had all of the amenities, clean, well-maintained and was a perfect fit. Being close to the road and town was a good thing and a bad thing, road noise, was constant, but you could not hear it inside the house or the backyard. On the other hand, you could walk across the street for food and to get on the trail that goes thru town. There were no screens in some of the windows; older house, but we did not get in a bugs or flies, so it was a moot issue. A/C would have been nice, but we did not need it. If it was unseasonable warm it would have been uncomfortable, but being close to the ocean that is probably a rare occurrence. Good communication with the owner and we had no issues."

George Brewery and Heritage Museum and a couple of blocks from the Maritime Museum, Buoy Brewing, Bowpicker, Riverwalk and many others.
Although close to everything, we maintain a quiet separation from the bustle of downtown in an area of historic architecture making the location perfect for your next Astoria visit. Commercially zoned, permitted and lovingly restored, this flat is maintained, owned and operated by Astorians. Our area serves a mix of both long-term and short-term tenants so we appreciate quiet respect for the neighbors. Park on-street and walk to everything.

This is an older building (over 100 years old) with original, restored wood floors. In this lower flat, there may be some sounds like foot traffic from the tenants on the floor above. Also note; we discourage running or stomping in this flat as it can be heard throughout the building.
If you have mobility concerns you should know that the unit is located on the first floor but still requires you climb 23 stairs from street to the front door.

- "We were in Astoria to escape the heat of Central CA. The location was great & walking distance to the downtown area. In the spirit of full disclosure, it is quite a hill on the return trip! We didn’t mind - it got our steps in, but it is substantial. the view was great and proximity to the sights was great. At the bottom of the hill was the Columbia River Maritime museum as were so many other places to go eat. Deer in the yard even. Loved that! The residence was fine for a short stay. It is small and a retro space. There were things I know were in my great grandmother’s house! As houses of this period were, it was not spacious. Had we been staying longer than a week the lack of comfy, read a book seating would have become an issue. However for a week, it was fine enough. Same with the kitchen. For a week, we could eat out. For a longer stay, the electric stove and size of the kitchen would have been an issue. The place is good, just don’t expect the more modern conveniences. The bathroom is tiny but consistent with the era. A couple with no kids would be fine in the space. Kids or a 2nd couple would have made this too tight unless it was a second couple who we were besties with because you would need patience to figure out bathroom rotations and shower use. You would be limited on comfort seating. For the price and duration of our stay, it was good. We were happy to have the opportunity to stay. Not in the OMG category but fine for where we wanted to be!"

Step back in time and enjoy staying in the recently restored, iconic, Gilbaugh building and walk to all the best places to eat, drink and recreate in downtown Astoria. This well appointed, 2-bd 1-bath flat boasts beautiful period architecture. Located in the historic district, the flat is 1 block from the Ft. George Brewery and Heritage Museum and a couple of blocks from the Maritime Museum, Reachbreak Brewing, Bowpicker, Riverwalk and many others.

If you find this a disturbance, we provide white noise machines in the bedrooms as well as ear plugs. Also note; we discourage running or stomping in this flat as it can be heard throughout the building.
If you have mobility concerns you should know that theunit is located on the first floor but still requires youclimb 23 stairs from street to the front door.
- "The place is cute, location is 10/10." - "Great location which is why we chose this property. We were within walking distance of most museums/atractions and a good many restaurants. The beds were comfortable, kitchen had what we needed for making breakfast. I also liked the sitting area couches. We were visiting with adult relatives and this gave us a good area to sit and socialize. We enjoyed the puzzle, maybe get a few more for variety."

- "Great location and lots of charm." - "Super cute property in Astoria very conveniently located to amenities. Slept exceptionally well. High quality furnishings for comfort. Please note, it is downtown so expect traffic noise. Several stairs to unit and not for the faint hearted. However, none of these were issues for myself. Would definitely return again! Love the architecture and layout of the unit. Recommended!" - "Location is right near downtown, the Riverwalk and you have a lovely view of the Columbia and passing ships. Bed was very comfy and had good amount of space. Stayed for a week and worked from the apt. Hosts were readily available and replaced the TV quickly when I found it no longer would connect to the internet. Anything I needed they were quick to respond and very much wanting my stay to be as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Highly recommend any of the four stays in this building."

Experience waterfront bliss where you are able to immerse yourself in marine life and rustic charm. Jumping fish, gillnet boats, gorgeous sunsets, and 356 species of birds make Parker Landing a nature lover's dream! Lush forests, gorgeous river views, and a hillside of Victorian-era homes provide a picturesque location for the perfect getaway.
While tucked away on the water, Parker Landing is close enough to all the sites Astoria has to offer, allowing you to venture into "little San Francisco" to explore with ease. Take a self-guided tour of more than a dozen famous film locations. Drive across the longest continuous truss bridge in North America. Enjoy spending time in town at the museums, local shops, restaurants, and breweries.
Whether experiencing all that the town Astoria has to offer or venturing out into nature, however you choose to spend your stay, the charm of Astoria will leave you with memories to last a lifetime.
- "Parker Landing was a perfect place for our romantic/birthday weekend. Beautiful views, beautiful stateroom with everything you need. Great access to town without being in the center of it all." - "Outstanding. Everything was so well thought out. Lots of attention to every little thing inside and out. Lovely views out over the bay waters from all the living areas, bedroom and kitchen. Everything was attractively done and very well taken care of inside. Very clean. Nicely appointed kitchen, living area, bathroom and laundry. A little off the beaten path of the city but not much. That meant a peaceful stay where you could watch the bufflehead ducks, green wing teals and cormorants in the morning then take a short drive to the various attractions in and around Astoria. Even a beaver (not a nutria) came by early while we were there. One of the nicest most well taken care of VRBO's we have ever stayed at. The owners clearly have taken great pride in this property. Parking is snug but easy once you pull in."

From the front patio, composed of historic downtown sidewalk slabs featuring grids of purple pavement prisms dating back to 1920s to the front doors preserved from the Seafarer restaurant or the grates from the old Astor Hotel, you cannot help feel transported back in time in our space. This getaway nestled in the underground features an eclectic collection of signage and relics quintessential to experiencing the Astoria of the past. The nine foot church door framing the master bedroom, net racks from a local cannery, and signage from locations including the Peter Pan Market and Union Town Steam Baths are a few of the historic details you’ll notice throughout the property. Located on the edge of the Columbia River just inland from the ‘Graveyard of the Pacific’ we even boast a porthole from a ship and infamous origins. While these details will delight your senses, you will also have visual access to the underground tunnels through the windows in each bedroom and we invite each occupant to enjoy an Astoria Underground tour as part of their stay.
- "We absolutely loved our stay here, everything was amazing. We kept finding new treasure every time we looked around. The location is perfect to walk around Astoria. After a long day of fishing the patio was a great place to relax, with a fireplace and music. 10/10 will book again. Thank you for a wonderful weekend." - "Jeff was amazing from the start and the property is truly one of a kind! We were lucky enough to get a bonus tour from Jeff, to ensure Fort George blew their five o’clock whistle. The history and location are unmatched by any other experience I’ve had in Astoria, one of my favorite places in the world. Stay here, and get a better appreciation for the people and history of Astoria and have an amazing time while you’re at it. Very clean, comfortable with surprises around every corner. I guarantee we will return to experience more of the wunderground! Thank you so much, Jeff, for sharing your magical life and world with us for the weekend!"

- "This flat is an excellent base of operations for Astoria adventures. The location makes it walkable to several restaurants, bars, and attractions. Parking might be more limited on busy weekends, but we had no issues on our midweek visit. It's an older building, and with that comes the usual charms, quirks, and issues, but the issues are minor. There is no central A/C, but the front windows can be opened to make for a nice breeze through the flat. There are no screens on the windows, but that didn't seem to be a major problem when we were there. The water pressure in the shower was rather low, but the tub was nice. The beds were nice. Firm and supportive, but with memory foam tops so that they were still comfortable. Good TV for unwinding after a day out and about, along with decent internet. The kitchen is small, but we were eating out every meal so we didn't really test it out. We would definitely stay here again."

- "It was great. Love the neighborhood and old houses. House was very comfortable for my husband and 2 dogs. I will say that it would be very hard for someone to stay there with a walking disability for several reasons including the fact that there is no bathroom on the main floor. Otherwise, it was truly a magical experience staying here and we wish we could have stayed longer." - "My wife and I really enjoyed staying at the Astoria River Retreat! It was exactly what we were looking for. Centrally located in the hills above Astoria, we had great views, privacy in a residential neighborhood and within walking distance to town and up the hill to the Astoria Column and Peter Pans Deli! We loved staying in the older home and living the history a bit of the area...good times! Thank you!"

The Uniontown Boat View Loft is an upstairs apartment situated directly beside the Oregon coastal highway 101 as it runs through Astoria, giving it an urban-industrial vibe, and close access to bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and the piers. The windows look over the 101, nearby businesses, the Astoria-Megler bridge, and the Columbia River, where barges pass regularly.
The space
The space is comprised of a fully stocked kitchen, living room, bathroom, two king-sized bedrooms, and laundry room, which also contains an extra sleeper futon for larger groups. The back door leads to a small deck, with rear-stairwell leading out into a quiet, shared back yard space. Pets are welcome.
Guest access
Two off-street parking spots are provided for your use. While it is possible to access downtown on foot, we recommend guests headed downtown to get there via car, as it is a longer (approx 30 min) walk. Many options for shops, restaurants, gas, and nearby services lie within 10 minutes driving distance.
Other things to note
There is no a/c.
The Boat View house is on the main road, so please expect loud rush hour (4-7pm) and morning rush (7-9am) noise from cars.
The windows of the living room are older and do not provide the same clear visibility that they used to.
- "Beds are very comfortable. Large space." - "We had a great stay at the boathouse. Everything was as listed and we had everything we needed. Good location!" - "Right on the skirt of town rests this full amenities, comfortable, and simply charming place. With great views of the Colombia and easy access in and out of town this place provides a calm and easy place to stay. We wish we stayed longer than just one night. The hosts gave perfect details for check in and check out and were communicative. We appreciate the stay so much and will return soon."

Grabbing a drink at the Dutch Bros Coffee Co. across the street or making yourself a hot one in the kitchen is the best way to enjoy the views of passing barges and the goings-on of urban-industrial Uniontown Astoria. Pets, friends and family are welcome here, although we ask that furry friends are kept OFF the beds and couches, as it is difficult to de-hair the furnishings! We're excited to share our love of the ruggedly beautiful Oregon coast with you!
The space
Our home consists of two bedrooms, bathroom, living room, kitchen and laundry room. Although the house is quite warm and comfy when the heater is on, the floors do get cold in low temperatures. We recommend packing thick socks or slippers to get the most out of your rustic Astoria experience. We can accommodate two dogs, with dog bed and blankets provided. We can also accommodate up to 8 humans, although space would be limited and to be the most comfortable, we recommend staying here only with 6 or less guests in total.
Please note that our proximity to the 101 means that noise from cars can be heard inside the unit!
Guest access
The kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom and laundry room are all yours. There is a backyard (shared with the upstairs unit) that your pet can use, but you'll need to monitor them while they're back there as it is unfenced.
Other things to note
There is no a/c .
The Boat View house is on the main road, so please expect loud rush hour (4-7pm) and morning rush (7-9am) noise from cars.
- "Thank you to the host for accommodating a schedule change to our visit. Check in was easy and the place was clean and nice inside" - "Perfect place for us to stay will be back" - "This place was perfect for me and my 2 kids. It was clean, cozy, and just outside of downtown. " - "I enjoyed the closeness of the place to the trolley trail for some morning walks but it was right on 11 (which the owner disclosed) but traffic hours seemed to be almost all day, wouldn’t have really been a problem but we were traveling with a baby so it made sleep a little trickier. The sunsets out the main window were great though and the drive into downtown was pretty short."

- "There is only one real bedroom. Down stairs there are two rooms that have beds in them but one is missing a door, and the other does not have an egress window. Upstairs is a cute little loft. It is almost never needed, but be advised there is no AC. Also there was not internet, or Cable TV for the one TV in the unit. A nice addition was the water filter in the fridge and the Keurig with Coffee in the cabinet. Overall we had a lovely stay and the things that didn't work didn't ruin our short visit. This is not a neighborhood I would take my kids for a walk in. It is right on the edge of industrial."

We were there during the massive Oregon fires and the area was super smoky, but the house had games, hulu, netflix, amazonPrime, books, and a guitar for us to stay entertained. We hope to be back next summer to fully enjoy the city of Astoria." - "Great house!! We had a wonderful stay in Astoria." - "Perfect old house three blocks from downtown. Great view. Quiet. Other things to note
Workers Tavern was first opened around 1906 by Finnish Socialists surrounding the Union Packing Company Seafood Company. In 1921, the Workers Cafe was sold to William and Daisy Still, two Finnish socialists who may have made periodic trips to Canada during prohibition to keep the cafe stocked with beer. William was known as quite the gambler as well and periodically threw memorable Anniversary parties with $100 prizes in the 1930s. Parked in its central location in historic Uniontown, also known as Finntown, it’s been serving the local fishermen and loggers of Astoria for over 100 years. It’s survived the Great Depression, WWI and WWII, Korea, Vietnam, yuppies and hipsters. It’s a true dive bar with stories that go far beyond this Airbnb ad.

My home is a 1948 post war tract home, simple in design yet unique in style as are surrounding homes in my neighborhood.
Located near the top of a densely forested hill approximately 1.5 miles from historic downtown Astoria. An occasional ship horn and sea lions barking in the distance adds a certain ambiance to this otherwise peaceful and quiet neighborhood.
Ample off street parking is available on an oversized double cement driveway with easy access to home entrance.

I have enjoyed sharing my home with visitors, friends and family. It is because of their promptings I have decided to open my home on Airbnb. Bottom line is I really enjoy people.
Chance, a long haired Dachshund is the only pet. He is a very gentle little guy and he loves meeting people.
Because I love children and dogs it is difficult for me to draw a hard fast rule against sharing space with them too. But, space and size creates limitations.

Entrance is through the front door also used by me. You will be given a key to use so that you may come and go freely. Your bedroom and the room directly across hallway used for TV/reading/work/quiet space are private to you. The bathroom, living room and dining room are shared spaces with host.

This is an older duplex, that we've furnished with homey touches to provide a comfortable base for exploring Astoria! We love drinking coffee and watching the passing barges and the goings-on of urban-industrial Uniontown Astoria from the big front window.
This is a downstairs apartment, and the upstairs apartment is also available for short term rent. Please note that our proximity to the 101 means that noise from cars can be heard inside the unit! Please also be aware that this older building has some quirks! we can not use hair dryers in the bathroom, and we request that the microwave not be turned on in conjunction with the stove range. We can accommodate up to 7 people, although space would be limited and to be the most comfortable, we recommend staying here only with 6 or less guests in total.
Guest access
The kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom and laundry room are all yours. There is a backyard (shared with the upstairs unit) that your pet can use, but you'll need to monitor them while they're back there as it is unfenced. Also, pet owners MUST pick up after their pets using the yard.
Other things to note
There is no a/c .
The Boat View house is on the main road, so please expect loud rush hour (4-7pm) and morning rush (7-9am) noise from cars.

Historic Loft Apartment in Astoria
Experience a piece of Astoria’s history in this bright, airy 1,050 sq. ft. loft, crafted from three 1860s-1880s homes that served as Chinese workforce housing in Chinatown. After surviving the 1922 fire, these structures were relocated uphill and combined into a triplex, continuing as workforce housing for over 100 years.
Key Features:
• Access: Reach the unit via steep, painted wooden stairs with a steel handrail. The stairs may not suit everyone.
• Natural Light: Two large operable skylights, reflective walls, and dimmable lighting brighten the loft, creating a welcoming atmosphere year-round.
• Kitchen: A commercial-style kitchen with stainless steel prep tables, task lighting, and updated appliances is perfect for cooking. Historic double-hung windows enhance ventilation. Please bring your own food supplies.
• Living Space: A cozy sofa beneath a skylight faces a 55” Bluetooth smart TV. A small desk, dining area, and WC complete the center space.
• Historic Accents: Reclaimed Douglas fir windows, doors, and shelving reflect the building’s heritage, showcasing saw marks and pinholes from its original construction.
• Bedroom/Bathroom: The bedroom includes a platform bed with a firm mattress, a sitting chair, and a small dresser. Adjacent is a bathroom with a walk-in shower, vintage sink, W/D, and WC. Note: The bedroom is open to the living area, separated by partitions.
• Heating: A gas stove centrally located heats the loft efficiently. Additional electric heaters provide warmth in the bedroom and bathroom.
Other Highlights:
• Expansive views to the north, west, and east from various rooms.
• Smooth, hard-surface floors for easy cleaning.
• Original shelving planks repurposed as decor.
• Shoe closet at the top of the stairs.
Immerse yourself in Astoria’s history while enjoying a thoughtfully updated space perfect for a unique and cozy stay.

Workers Tavern is a 120 year old Bar/Restaurant that’s been creating unique memories for over a century. This apartment is in celebration of the hard working women of Astoria who catered to the fishermen and loggers of the past. Built on the foundation of #workersforworkers, this room features a century old piano and the tools of the trade. We hope all who stay here take a moment to remember both the men and women who built the west. ** ALL GUESTS MUST BE OVER 21**
The space
The Workers Tavern building was originally built in 1906 and rebuilt in 1929 at the same location. Previously sitting over the shores of the Columbia River, the 1929 remodel included a concrete foundation and six new apartments with a sauna on the back patio. Eventually the sauna turned into an apartment and sometime after the bridge was built in 1964, a second flood apartment was added which is the current Red Room you are staying in. Now the building has eight apartments and the historical Workers Tavern.
Guest access
Workers Tavern guests have access to their specific rooms and of course may use the tavern and backyard area.
Other things to note
“Friends of Workers Tavern”
There are many great places to visit while in Astoria but these places are more unique and special as well as being friends of Workers Tavern
Hurricane Ron’s - an odd looking place downtown selling seafood bought directly off the boats. Ask for a Razor Clam on a stick and tell them we said hello!
T Paul’s Supper Club - just great food with a local’s special on Tuesday nights
Bridgewater Bistro - a gorgeous restaurant with a gorgeous view of the water. Their Sunday brunch is fantastic and highly recommended. This is a white tablecloth restaurant
Inferno Lounge - for your fancier cocktails. We highly recommend the chocolate peanut butter martini
Coffee Girl - Located on Pier 39, this fantastic breakfast joint not only has a gorgeous view but it makes all of its own pastries and has a great story to go with it
Astoria Underground Tours - You’ll need to book online ahead of time but some super great stories told by our local legend, Mr. Jeff Daly himself who is connected to the building of the famous Megler Bridge
Fort George Brewery - owned and operated by a local family born and raised in Astoria, Fort George is the beating heart of our town.
Desdemona Club - she’s an old gal like us on the other side of town but with shuffleboard and pool, you’ll enjoy hanging out.
Annie’s Strip club - right near Desdemona with the best jello shots in town. Tell them we sent you as I’m quite sure they owe me some money for all the jello shots we’ve recommended over the years.

Enjoy a piece of Oregon history in our overnight rental at Workers Tavern located in historic Uniontown, Astoria. Nestled under the longest truss bridge in North America, the Meigler Bridge, the Workers building was first built in 1906 then rebuilt in 1929 to its present glorious state. Now a famous bar with a large outdoor bar garden and overnight rentals, we're here for you at Workers. We're sure you'll have an experience you'll never forget. **You and your entire party must be over 21.**
The space
Less than a block from Astoria’s 5 mile long Riverwalk, marina and numerous historic curiosities, Workers Tavern is the ideal location to explore Astoria by foot or on our very own Riverfront trolley car.
Guest access
Our Workers Historic Marina studio apartment is furnished in Workers historic marina style. It has a full kitchen, bath and two comfy queen beds, both built into BOATS. The front entrance is next door to our historic tavern, and around the corner from our backyard bar garden at the rear of the building. You can enjoy a cocktail sitting next to our campfire ring along with our regular bar patrons, local loggers and fishermen included. The kitchen is equipped with a full fridge, stove and has complimentary tea and snacks. And when you wake up in the morning, you can carry your coffee mug right into the bar for as much free coffee as you might need to start your day. Workers Tavern serves breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. seven days a week. Check in 5:00 p.m. and checkout is around 11. **PLEASE CHECK IN AT THE BAR....WORKERS TAVERN anytime after 4:00 p.m.**
Other things to note
The Marina room is attached to the famed ‘Workers Tavern’ which was first opened around 1926 by William and Daisy Still, two Finnish socialists. William was known as quite the gambler and periodically threw memorable Anniversary parties with $100 prizes in the 1930s. Parked in its central location in historic Uniontown, also known as Finntown, it’s been serving the local fishermen and loggers of Astoria for nearly 100 years. It’s survived the Great Depression, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, yuppies and hipsters. It’s a true dive bar with stories that go far beyond an Airbnb ad.
Please be aware this room is right next to an iconic bar across from a river. Sometimes there are sea lions barking, fog horns, trucks passing in the night and birthday parties. This is an urban tavern room and not a quiet cabin tucked in the woods. Also, do not ask about anyone under 21 or we will get annoyed with you because we’ve mentioned it several times. **ONLY OVER 21 IN ENTIRE PARTY IS ALLOWED IN ROOMS**

This fully furnished forest getaway in a quiet & friendly neighborhood is perfect for a solo traveler or couple looking to explore everything the North Coast has to offer. A stocked kitchen, access to laundry, deck access with a view and a newly renovated cedar sauna create a perfect base of operations for your beach-going, Astoria pub-crawling, Peninsula mushroom hunting, salmon fishing, art walking and seafaring poetry reciting weekend in the best little town on the Oregon coast.
The space
This is the first floor of a 2 story home. While it is not fully appropriate to call it a "basement," the back 1/3 is buried and has no windows. It does NOT feel like a basement and has full sized windows across the front of the space.
We live upstairs, and will share the laundry room with you - but you have your own entrance, and we are private people who will give you your privacy. There is sound transfer between upstairs and downstairs, but it is fairly minor except when one or the other of us is in the laundry room itself. We are quiet and respectful people, and expect the same.
The space is a studio in that the bedroom, sitting areas & kitchen all flow into one another. If you wanted to, you could likely use screens or a curtain to provide a privacy screen between bedroom and kitchen. The space is newly remodeled, warm, well lit & cozy. It is fully furnished. The floors are painted concrete with rugs throughout. The windows have both curtains and blackout shades so you can sleep soundly.
The bedroom area contains a Queen Casper bed, two sets of linens, duvet & 2 duvet covers. There is a small dresser, a closet and a long desk in the room.
The kitchen & dining area contains plenty of cabinet storage, butcher block countertops, a fridge/freezer combo & small double sink. There is no oven or stovetop, but we provide two induction burners that work great. You'll also have a large multi-function toaster oven (as good as any oven, really), microwave, HEPA air filter and all the various kitchen implements, dishes, silverware, linens and so on that you might need. There is also a small 2 person dining table with chairs for your mealtime delights.
The kitchen area does contain the electrical panel for the house - the photos don't show it - but it is currently covered by a lovely small fabric artwork created by a friend of ours. Very occasionally, we have to run down there to access the panel - maybe once a year.
There are two small seating areas. One is in the same space with the kitchen and features a comfortable chair. The other has a small couch that does fold flat to become a sleeping surface. In that seating area you will find a Roku Smart TV that you can use to login to your favorite streaming services. You will have your own dedicated wifi network with password, and the wifi signal has always been strong down there.
The bathroom is the quirkiest aspect of the apartment. It is split into two portions. The first contains the toilet, sink, mirror and has a small cabinet for storage. There is no tub, but that is compensated for by the fact that you will have full access to a functional cedar sauna, which also contains the shower. The sauna was recently resurfaced and works well. The shower area has waterproof wooden tiles on the floor, so you can shower in comfort.
Finally, the laundry room. This is shared with upstairs and contains a front loading washer & dryer. We work together to ensure everyone has time to do their laundry. We do ask that you use 100% fragrance free laundry products, as two of our family have severe chemical sensitivities. The laundry room is also used for storage, but has plenty of space for everyone to take care of their needs.
Outside is a Pacific Northwest wonderland. We live on a terraced property with over 60 rhododendrons, spruce, shore pine, oxalis and a host of other native plants. From April to June the place explodes in color, and hummingbirds, owls, deer and dozens of other species of animals pay visits to the property throughout the year. You r door opens to the driveway and there is space you could put up a small table and chairs if you desired. You can also access the deck for spectacular river views. There is a wonderful "urban" trail that starts on one side of the property, and if you take "the loop" you can see eagles, deer, Saddle Mountain, the Astoria column, several views of downtown, the Columbia River, the Columbia River Bar, the Youngs River and so much more.
Astoria Nautical Charm. Come relax by our warm fireplace and enjoy the surrounding beauty of our beautiful neighborhood with a partial view of Youngs Bay River. We are close to town where you can enjoy a full view of the beautiful Columbia River. Walk along the riverwalk and enjoy anyone of our local restaurants and breweries and quaint one-of-kind shops. And don't forget to visit The Column. Also we are only 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean Beach.
The space
We offer a spacious 4 room ground floor suite. Our decor is uplifting, relaxing, and comfortable. The bedroom has a comfortable Queen and the living room offers another pull-out Queen with cozy blankets and pillows. A fireplace will calm you and keep you warm in the winter months. Private bathroom with a shower and cozy warm absorbent towels, the kitchenette offers a microwave, kerig coffee maker, with coffees provided, toaster and small mini fridge. Our dining room has a table.

Unique Carriage House Stay at the Historic Fisher House
Once Astoria’s first garage, this charming space has been transformed into a unique and inviting retreat. Walled off from the main house, it offers privacy and character, featuring reclaimed wood trim, Thai teak floors, and tall ceilings that create a sense of volume in its tiny-house-style layout. The windows provide views of the historic Fisher House, a stunning Italianate Victorian completed in the early 1880s.

• WC: Equipped with a shower and toilet (note: the sink is in the kitchenette).
• Living Space: Includes a table, chair, and access to an exterior deck for enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Upper Level Resting Area:
• Accessed by a steep “ship ladder” staircase with handrails, adding a unique feature to the space. Not suitable for those uncomfortable with ladder-like stairs.
• Features a full-size firm bed, a closet rod, an antique dresser, and minimalist decor.
• A low soffit on the south side requires caution for guests taller than 5’10” when opening the window.
Important Notes:
• The WC is located on the lower level, and accessing the upper level requires climbing the ship ladder. This layout may not be suitable for everyone.
• The carriage house offers a distinct, clean, and quirky charm, ideal for adventurous and thoughtful guests.

Although we do hope to have most of what you will need, it is old, not modern, described as on the somewhat rustic side. Our guests will enjoy the fact that the long term tenants are mature quiet adults who are respectful of others. You'll find Astoria has a rich history, wonderful period architecture, and great places to dine, I have current menus available for dining ideas. We provide a complementary breakfast, a "Starter Breakfast" with locally roasted coffee from the Astoria Coffee Company featuring the famous "Goonie Blend" coffee, tea, fruit, juices and usually some kind of baked goods, English muffins, or croisants for your first morning with us.
