We had a balcony, but we were on the first floor so we didn't choose to use it. An important note: the Expedia listing calls it the Coratel Inn and Suites, but Google maps says this is a shared hotel with Ocean Paradise Hotel and Resort... however there are NO signs that day Coratel anywhere. The only signage said Ocean Paradise, and this listing should be listed as such to avoid confusion. Once we were assured we were at the correct location, it was a very enjoyable experience. "

My husband enjoyed fishing off the dock and we loved that it was close to Damon Point… a beautiful beach that was less windy than Ocean Shores beach and you could see star fish and sea anemones at low tide! The host, Lisa, was incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs! Although we wish this cabin was closer to other amenities, we would definitely consider staying here again if we return to Ocean Shores!"

From the minute you walk in… The game room is amazing and set up so great if you are bringing kids with you to visit (or adult fun too). If it’s raining they have a place to play! Inside the house you can tell that everything was thought out and done right. It seems brand new! The kitchen is fully stocked and I made dinner one night and had no issues. There is even plastic wrap in a drawer for left overs. Everything has been thought of here! It’s a short walk or bike ride over to Oyhut to get your morning coffee or make it at home. Brought my fishing pole and gave it a try off the private dock with no luck but the neighbors say crappie can be caught in the canal. However it’s so peaceful on the dock I didn’t care. It truly was a little slice of paradise at the beach! Thank you to the owners/management for being super responsive and making sure everything was top notch. I will be back with the family for sure! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

- "The house was beautiful, the hot tub was clean and nice to relax in after walking on the beach. There is beach access by taking a short 10-15 minute walk along a white shell covered path (located behind Oyhut Grill). I highly recommend this walk and this beach. This is where we found our seashells and sand dollars. The dock access that is pictured is located across the street from Corks and Taps. The village is a nice family and pet friendly area. My family and I will return here again!"

The amenities provided were beyond my expectations, definitely don't need to bring half your kitchen here! I was not expecting to have close neighbors based on the images, however upon arrival noticed another house a mere few feet away. Mostly the other occupants were also respectful of sound and it didn't become an issue. However when the hot tub is in use it does have potential to get a little noisy, so just be aware of that. Upon arrival to the cottage I was a little underwhelmed with the cleanliness. While this is a pet friendly unit and a large part of why we chose it, I did not expect to see long dark hairs on towels, linens or the couch. There was also paper and hair in the washer. The entry ways were a little gritty to bare feet as well. Luckily there was a vaccum and broom in the closet so I quickly vacuumed and swept and we were good to go. I also vaccumed and swept prior to departure to help the cleaning crew and to leave the space better than found. We appreciated the back deck to wash and wipe paws so we weren't bringing gunk inside and the front deck to have morning coffee on. I also loved the decor of this house. I didn't personally use the dining table, games/dvds, the sitting chairs or the second bedroom but thought that the fluidity of the space was absolutely adorable. The bedrooms are small, but don't feel small. All in all the cottage puts off a very welcoming and homey vibe, is just a few miles from the beach and is right next to a small green belt area. While it looks like there will be new housing on the next street, my pup loved going through walks in the brush in the morning. This unit will be going on our short list if we are ever in the area again."

Shores is a two-bedroom, two-bath home and is perfect for those seeking a
relaxing and fun vacation. The open-concept living space offers plenty of room for

“Surf Wood Cabin”

A perfect place to work remotely or have a temporary home base while building your dream home. This one bedroom one bathroom cabin is tucked up in the woods away from the road and is quiet and secluded. There is a deck on each side of the cabin overlooking a small yard with beautiful rhododendrons, azaleas, honey suckle, and many other plants and flowers. The cabin sits on 2 acres of spectacular wooded land so there is plenty of privacy.

The space
NOTICE:

The cabin itself is very nice with a kitchen, living area, full bathroom, and a bedroom. There is a wood stove but please use the wall heaters in each room to keep warm at night. The wood stove needs to be inspected and worked on so please DO NOT use it. However, you are welcome to have a fire in the outdoor fire ring.

The kitchen has all the necessities for your cooking and dining needs. NOTE: The well water has a slight "iron" taste to it. It is recommended that guests supply their own bottled water for drinking and cooking.

The cell phone reception in the area is solid. Bring your own digital entertainment and play/listen/watch on the provided Smart HD TV, DVD player, and Bookshelf Stereo. There is no cable TV, but basic internet is provided for streaming video on the HD TV (i.e., Netfilix, Hulu, etc.). NOTE: You will need your own subscription and credentials for any streaming services.

For guests working remotely, there is a sturdy card table and area rug in the bedroom closet, which can be used to set up a work area. As noted above, basic internet service is provided. If you need a faster connection this can be arranged for an extra fee. Please send me a message for further detail regarding upgraded internet options and prices.

ITEMS TO NOTE:

Please keep all food and grease out of the sink and drain. These are very bad for the septic system. Under the sink is a grease can as well as a trash can and bags.

After using dishes and cookware please empty any leftovers in the trash can and rinse or clean the dishes. There are two dish racks to store the dishes.

Use only the toilet paper provided in the bathroom. To avoid septic problems, please do not flush any other items down the toilet. NO: facial tissue, diapers, disposable wipes, feminine products etc.

The well water has a slight "iron" taste to it. It is recommended that guests supply their own bottled water for drinking and cooking.

There are garbage and recycle cans at the north end of the cabin. Red for recycle and black for trash.

HOST ACCESS:

I have a shop and shed toward the back of the property where I spend time. There is a good amount of space between the shop and cabin buffered by trees. I don't think you will even notice when I'm back there. Occasionally I will need to do things such as mow the yard, clean the gutters etc., but I will always notify you when I will be doing anything around the cabin.

SECURITY CAMERS:

There are two outdoor Security Cameras near the cabin. One is pointed at the parking space/deck stairs and the other is on the back of the cabin to monitor rainwater drainage.
