Ocean Shores is a 20 minute jaunt down the scenic coast (highway 109) with shops, restaurants, beach festivals, and the Quinault casino. A two-night stay in Moclips can be worked into a terrific Pacific Northwest tour. Northern destinations include Forks (scenic setting of Twilight), Hurricane Ridge or a ferry to Victoria on Vancouver Island of British Columbia.

NOTE RE CELL PHONES: Cell service throughout the Moclips area is poor, and more so at the house. There are only a few spots in the house where voice may be possible, depending on your service provider (Verizon seems to work best), a few more spots where texting works. There is a VOIP landline, free service for domestic long distance calls.

NOTE RE TV: The only T.V. is in the bedroom with the trundle bed, there is a limited selection of videos and DVDs. The T.V. is a 32" smart flat screen, with wireless connectivity for Netflix, Hulu, etc and it's easy to move to another room. There are additional cable outlets in the other downstairs bedroom, and in the loft, but no extra hook-up cables. The cable channel selection is limited, see the basic cable lineup at Coast Communications.

Beach fires, kite flying, sandcastle building, shell collecting are all within steps of our front door. The beach is very gradual and is one of the few area beaches excluded from any vehicular traffic (April 15-September's Labor Day Week-end), which makes it a great place for small children. We are within walking distance of the Moclips River which offers exploring along its shores and trails of its moss-clad forest.

Crab Cottage is a dog-friendly, little unassuming cottage right on the beach. Walk in the front door, and you will see gorgeous views out the west windows. To your left are a small but efficient kitchen and dining area. The rest of the downstairs has the bathroom and living room with gas fireplace and a full-size Murphy bed. A narrow fixed ladder with rail takes you upstairs to the loft, where two additional double beds will be found (ladder weight limit 200 lbs).

The backyard has a great deck and a firepit. And of course, miles of beach. This home is perfect for the fisherman, surf kayaker, or beach bum, and is ideal for relaxing. There is a small television with DVD player, so bring your favorite movies or games and relax the night away. This home is all about getting away and spending quality time with friends and family. Parking is limited, with space for a vehicle on the south side of the home, and one in front.

Driftwood Cottage is a sunny, dog-friendly cottage that is sure to become a favorite. Located on the Moclips Flats, just across from the beach, it has easy access to miles of shoreline. The beach access path is just two houses to the south, clearly marked. The kitchen is open to the living area, with a cozy dining nook tucked in the corner. The living room has a comfortable sleeper sofa. It is from this room that you will enjoy your beach and ocean views beckoning you!

There is a television with Blue-ray DVD player (bring your favorite movies), as well as Hulu and NetFlix. The bedrooms both offer full sized beds. Sit on the front porch and enjoy the gentle sea breezes as you sip your favorite beverage. There is a spacious backyard for the youngsters to play in as they anticipate their next trip to the beach.

Enjoy a quick drive down to Ocean Shores. Here you will find the Quinault Casino, or venture further into Ocean Shores and you will find galleries and shopping. In the summer months, you will find horseback riding on the beach. Stop by the Museum of the North Beach, too! For stays longer than a couple of days, try taking a day trip to Westport Winery. Stroll their many gardens, with amazing sculptures created by very talented local artists. You won't be disappointed. Suggested road trips would include a scenic 40-minute drive to the Quinault Rain Forest. Here you can enjoy a relaxing drive around Lake Quinault, or walk any of the many trails for all ages and capabilities. The trails are well marked and nicely groomed.

Moclips is a quaint coastal town located along the Pacific Ocean. It is one of five communities of the North Beach. The other four communities consist of Ocean City, Copalis Beach, Pacific Beach, and Seabrook. All five communities offer a relaxing environment for strolls on the beach, enjoying a campfire or storm watching. There are many beach activities; including clamming, fishing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, or taking a short trip to the Quinault Rain Forest and the Olympic National Park.

This is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home and comfortably accommodates a maximum of 6 people. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, 1 bedroom downstairs and a bathroom on each floor. There is a washer and dryer in the downstairs bathroom. The living space is also on the upper floor with a view to the ocean.

The home is equipped with stove/range, microwave, refrigerator, dish washer, outdoor bbq grill, outdoor fire table, coffee maker, pots and pans, crock pot, and utensils and dishes for a group of 6.

The house is located within walking distance from the beach. Enjoy beautiful sunrise and sunsets, beach combing, kite flying, fishing, and more. Calm blue waters during the summers and large waves during the winter. There is plenty to do just right outside our home but there are also other activities to enjoy in nearby Seabrooks and Ocean Shores.

Should you arrive early, we suggest you stop by a grocery store in Aberdeen or even Ocean Shores to grab all the necessity you will need for meals. There is a convenient store nearby should you need. You will be on your own at our home however, we are available by phone.

It was also easy to walk to the beach. and the beach was unlike anything we had seen before. incredible expanses of sand and water we could wade in. It was so fun to be on the beach at low tide. Sand dollars galore. .We took a day trip to the Quinault rainforest and Ruby beach, which was so different form the sandy beaches near our beach house. We loved this house and its location. There is a newly opened grocery store in a nearby upscale development. expensive, but great selection"

The kitchen has recently been completely renovated with new cabinets, appliances, and amenities, including a professional gas stove. The living room has an airy beach vibe. The TV is set up for streaming and sits right above the cozy electric fireplace. Both can be enjoyed from the sofa (which turns into a comfortable queen-size sleeper). If duty calls, there's a sweet little work area in the entry. After a long day at the beach (easy beach access is a short 1-mile drive in either direction), enjoy a soak in the covered hot tub with its view of the ocean, or try the vintage-style clawfoot tub. The cottage is filled with natural light, and the bedroom faces the ocean with large windows for a great view and a French door that opens to the back deck.

Moclips Beach Rentals is proud to offer Pacific House. Originally built in 2001, it overlooks the waves, with panoramic views of the ocean to the north or south. Enjoy a hot tub overlooking the beach at Moclips in this superb 2+ bedroom open plan house .

50ft across, the house is one of the widest on the beach with unparalleled ceiling to floor window views. Inside home has a spacious, grand, open plan great room with two private bedrooms. Upstairs has a queen bed loft and two low ceiling dens for the little ones, with two twin beds in each. Owner allows maximum 10 people to stay. House has been updated. New siding, new upper deck, new roof, new interior and exterior lighting, new color, new bathrooms (hi end tile and rainforest showers), updated furniture.

Unbelievable views and a superb quiet beach are yours to enjoy. No smoking allowed. The house is very popular, so book early! Four night minimum stay July and August.
