- "This is an older cabin but has all the amenities you need to stay comfortable. It's very cute and cozy. The small kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook and prepare your meals. The lake access is a short distance away and the river is a small drive. Perfect getaway for someone who likes to fish." - "I love this place and location. The cozy 1000sq ft 2-story Bungalow is only 10 minutes off I-5. It was built in the 70's as a get-a-way in the woods. It boasts many recent updates while holding a lot of original character. The main house was added in the 90's, but the Bungalow is still detached, and very private. So quiet that you may never see or hear the owners in the main house, and they may never see or hear you.

The reviews don't lie; the Bungalow has everything, and that means everything you might need for a comfortable stay... especially the high-quality Cal-King, and XL Twin beds…who doesn't need a great night sleep?! The kitchen is nicely stocked with coffee, fresh cream, condiments, spices and snacks. In the morning enjoy making gluten-free buttermilk pancakes and eggs. AJ’s special pancake mix, fresh eggs, real butter, and maple syrup provided.

- "A cute and clean cabin with a great deck area! The view of the river is wonderful. There is a hummingbird feeder provided great birding entertainment from the outdoor furnature. Even saw a bald eagle! The hot tub was greatnand we enjoyed using the fire table in the evening. Great for a couple or smaller family, since all the bedroom areas are in the open. Well stocked kitchen with all the spices. Very cute and the manager Paul is great to communicate witb. We had a great stay!"

- "My family stayed over Thanksgiving break. There was a window of fantastic weather with clear skies. We would start the day with coffee on the porch, watching the ducks play in the lake. Then we daytripped to Portland to hike. We drove up towards the mountains for breathtaking views of Mt Ranier and Mt St Helens. Then we would come back and cuddle up by the fireplace. - "We booked last minute for just 2 nights during the week. Place is cute and clean pictures are accurate looks the same. ?? Nieghborhood questionable yet it was quite and nobody messed with our car/property, so what can we really say. Place is clean and spacious has all the basics you need. Do have 2 small suggestions a sponge 🧽 for kitchen so can wipe down things, and small bar of soap or small body wash would be very nice to have. Only downside real issue is fluctuation on water temperature neither one of us ever got a real hot nice shower. We questioned if due to it is a 4 unit building and maybe all using same line? We don’t know. Overall was nice place 👍"

- "The place met our needs but we had a few bumps. It was raining when we arrived and check in instructions said to park in one of 3 spots in back. Walked through muddy yard to front entrance and found a note inside that parking was the one designated spot in the front. I messaged host for tips on getting the eurocouch upstairs to lay completely flat and did not get a response. There was also only one half roll of toilet paper, with location for extras empty. We were happy to replenish and will likely stay again when in town for work."

1976 36ft Concord trailer that has been gutted and redone inside.

We think its super cute and love the trailer..... but If you are OVER 6'1 you will not be happy! Ceilings are very LOW!

One side of the trailer has a queen memory foam bed (a bit high ) 32 inch TV. Living area with fold out couch (twin) and 40inch TV.

Kitchen has two burner gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker etc...everything needed to cook small meals. There is no oven.

Bathroom with shower and a real flushing toilet. AC/heater combo.

We previously had a custom tiny home here for over two years that we sold. We had planned to build a home in its spot, but with the price of building supplies etc....we decided to wait. So some of our previous guests will remember us as "Otter Pond on the Toutle River"

We have a Level 2 40amp EV Charger for our electric car guests. It’s free to use! Please inquire at booking.

If you need to do laundry for longer stays, we do have an extra set in our shop area.

We are very remote! ( which we love ) so plan accordingly. 10 minutes from the nearest gas service/grocery store. Johnston Ridge observatory is 42 miles from the house, closed at this time. Riverdale Raceway is 5 miles away. Explore Mt St Helens, Coldwater Lake, forest learning center, Silverlake or just explore and enjoy the property!

.The well house has outdoor games, life jackets, and a cooler for our guests to enjoy! Living out here is awesome, but it’s like camping! Lots of BUGS, flys, bees, mosquitos, birds ( including wood peckers that might wake you up ) our chickens that wander over, and if you are lucky are friendly cat. The neighbors cows occasionally, dogs, deer, raccoons, mice, bunnies, chipmunks, snakes, cats etc…

There is a pond and river so please be careful. River shoes or tennis shoes advised as the river bank is slippery with lots of rocks. It's 20 minutes to the nearest restaurant. Cell service is spotty out here, AT&T works the best. WiFi is provided but can be finicky at times during bad weather.

The Loft in Castle Rock is in a country setting yet only 5min from the freeway, 50min from Portland and 2hrs from Seattle. Awesome dining options, pubs, hiking, fishing, biking, motocross riding and of course the gateway to Mt. St. Helens. Downtown Castle Rock is like walking through a hallmark movie.

The space
The Loft is just a little over 1,000sq. ft. This guest house is attached to our shop with a separate and private entry. Located approximately 40ft from our home.

*The loft offers one king bed upstairs, a twin fold out bed downstairs located under stairway and of course the sofa.

*baby gates are also available for the steps upon request.

Guest access
Guests have private access to The Loft as well as their own patio area and side yard to access. Guest can park anywhere in front of the three bay shop doors.

I hereby agree to conform to and comply with rules governing my contract to stay at property as a guest.

Included with your bungalow is private access to two acres of beautiful gardens, and our hydrotherapy area: Outdoor shower, hot tub, steam sauna, and cold plunge pool. Indoors you'll enjoy a private library, kitchenette, and bathroom. The bedroom has a big-screen TV, recliners, painting supplies, a faux fireplace, and more. Peace. Comfort. Privacy, and healing hydrotherapy. All conveniently located for your Mt St. Helens adventure. This property is not suitable for children of any age.

The space
Stillmeadows is the perfect place for those seeking a meditative experience. You can spend hours in our Theodore Rosevelt library, or melt your stresses away in our Hot tub, steam sauna, and our outdoor shower. Stillmeadows is best suited for couples and singles.

Guest access
When you arrive you may park your car at the top of the driveway. Someone will greet you. Stillmeadows is about 15 minutes from the nearest store and restaurant.

During your stay
Ellen and David are the on-site hosts, they occupy a private residence elsewhere on the property and are available at all times to assist in your stay.

The library has a fireplace that may be burning when you arrive, however, guests are NOT allowed to add to the fire. This property is not suitable for people with disabilities. Not suitable for children of any age.

Boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing are at your fingertips with beach access to the river. One can also walk along the river from the house; or, one can just view the river from the large wrap around deck. The warm and cozy rooms offer peace, solitude, and quiet reflection.

Escape to a charming log cabin perched on the riverbank, offering breathtaking views and private outdoor amenities. Relax in the hot tub, enjoy the deck, or explore nearby forest trails. Perfect for hiking, fishing, or a romantic getaway, with easy access to the river. Cozy up for a movie night or unwind surrounded by nature’s tranquility.

Note: Guests must sign a waiver to comply with insurance requirements.

The space
The space is a cozy log cabin with a loft. Lots of sleeping options. There is a full kitchen with microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, etc. The bathroom has a nice hot shower, and people like to watch videos in the evening on the projector (cloth screen that hangs up).

Guest access
Guests enjoy full access to the entire property, including the beach and river access.

Other things to note
The hot tub is fully operational and will be pre-heated for your comfort upon arrival. There is lots of parking, a fire table, fire pit, hammock, small river beach, and kitchen with everything you need to create lovely food. Wi-fi is fast (Starlink Satellite Internet - 35Mbps download, 2.1Mbps upload). We also have a cell tower booster, but recommend switching wi-fi calling on.
