It was very hot during our stay--Libby and Craig left a cooler for our use in case we were going to explore the river and trails close by. All in all, a great stay and tremendous hosts."

It was well appointed with anything you would need in the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms….and OMG the beds in all 3 rooms were sooooo comfortable…I’m talking the most comfortable beds of any 5 star home I’ve rented off of VRBO. Close by you will find plenty of things to do from hiking to the Fruit Loop to cute alpaca farms. We loved the Red Bluff Tap House and AJ’s Grocery store had great selections of organic produce, as well as any other items you would need. I highly recommend this house and the surrounding area!"

45 minutes from the Portland Airport (PDX)

Please note:
-The home sits next to the Columbia River which means we're also next to a railroad track. However the railroad sits lower than the house and though it passes a number of times a day, I hardly notice it.
-There is poison oak on the property. It is sprayed multiple times a year. Stay on the defined spots and trails and you shouldn't have any problems.
-While we have a deep two car garage, one of the spaces has our family kayak moving van in it.
- The property extends to the Columbia River. There is a cleared out area to hang out/beach type area. To get there you have to walk across a railroad track so please do so cautiously.

- "We stayed with our adult children, their partners and two grandsons. The accommodations were exactly what we needed. We especially appreciated having bedrooms with an en-suite for everyone. The bedrooms are far enough away from the main spaces and game room that the kids could nap or go to bed early and the adults could still play games or watch movies. The large kitchen and dining room were perfect for family meal prepping and eating together. The trains go by multiple times a day which would have been more of an issue if we’d spent more time outside on the deck. The trains are less of an issue when you’re inside. It’s nicely situated between Portland and Hood River but is it at least a 45-minute drive to get to amy attractions. We’d stay here again."

This 2,200 sq foot house sleeps 10 and is located on the Elk Ridge Golf Course in Carson WA with a beautiful view of the golf course and surrounding mountains from the master bedroom, kitchen, living room and backyard. This is a pet friendly house with a large fenced back yard but please limit dogs to the main living area in the house (no bedrooms please, dog beds and bowls provided). The living area is an open floor plan with plenty of seating for all guests with a view of the 65 inch TV. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The spacious master bedroom has a 55 inch TV, king sized bed and en suite bathroom. The bunk room has four twin beds that support adults as well (one person per bunk). Two bedrails are available for toddlers and a portable crib with mattress and sheets. There is a queen bedroom and office with a deluxe coiled queen mattress futon bed. Two car garage and multiple car driveway parking are available.

There’s even a bonus trundle for the little ones (or a single friend). Bedroom two’s queen-sized Nectar Premier Copper mattress is just as comfy. The hum of Wind River Highway fades into the background and a cool breeze compliments the soothing sounds of Carson Creek.

Muddy or sore? Steam up the tiled, glass-door shower and rinse off with the provided shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. Radiant heat prevents cold feet. Towels, toilet paper, hair dryer, ironing board, and iron provided.

After pretending to cook dinner (Backwoods Brewery is just around the corner) in the fully-equipped kitchen, enter your login and settle in for movie night on the 65” flatscreen TV and speaker system. Welcome to our sanctuary! Our beautiful home is on 5 acres located within Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Set on Cedar Creek and surrounded by natural beauty, this home is forested and private yet only 10 minutes from Carson Hot Springs and Backwoods Brewing in downtown Carson. Waterfalls and many hiking trails within a 15 minute drive. Or just stay home and stargaze. This home is very special to us and we would love to share its beauty with you!

This home has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to enjoy your stay. There are three bedrooms. The bedroom downstairs has a California King bed and the two upstairs have queen beds. Note: one of the bedrooms upstairs is very private but does not have a door separating it from the hallway that leads downstairs. See photos. Smart TV has all apps (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc) so you have full access with your own account. The house has a beautiful porch overlooking Cedar Creek and acres of National Forest land. Enjoy the creek and forest views and sounds while BBQing on the porch. There is Wifi at the house although at times it can be slow at times since it is a secluded property. There is no cell service at the house. This is a kid friendly home with a Pack n Play (with mattress and sheet), and kids toys/books.

This house is located in a secluded part of Carson at the end of a dead end street. Carson is a charming little town with a brewery (which also has great food!), two coffee shops and a general store. Carson Hot Springs is also located in town. 10 minutes from downtown Carson is Stevenson, WA with even more breweries, restaurants, etc to enjoy.

Showcasing beautiful elements of Japanese and Scandinavian design, this modern, minimalist cabin is a source of relaxation and renewal in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.

This studio-style cabin is one of six that occupy the 100-acre Tenzen Cabins and Springs, a serene retreat perched on a meadow bluff just outside Stevenson. On this property lined with native fir, hemlock, and oak trees, you can take in gorgeous views of the Columbia River, the Silver Star Scenic Area, Wind Mountain, and unforgettable night skies.

The interior living space is intimate, bright, and lofty, where you can wake up each morning to a view of the river filtered through the trees. Enjoy an entire wall of windows, a built-in platform bed and sitting area, and a kitchenette with a minifridge, a Keurig, and an assortment of utensils.

Another 600 square feet of living space await outside, including a wrap-around deck, an outdoor shower with a Japanese-style sit-down feature, and an open-air infinity tub with pure geothermal spring water sourced from 3,000 feet below the Wind River. WiFi, an electric vehicle charger, and a mini-split air conditioner are on hand as well. The indoor bathroom shower has a built-in steam sauna.

The space
The bedroom is located on the front of the house and is very quiet as we live in a cul-de-sac away from the main roads. It has a new gel memory foam queen bed. If you are looking for space for fellow travelers ask us about the availability of a second bedroom for an additional fee (paid at arrival).

Guest access
Guests will have access to a private bedroom, bathroom across the hall (sometimes this bathroom is shared if a second guest room is booked). There is a shared living room/kitchen. Guests will have free wi-fi access as well as access to DISH TV. There is access to a washer/dryer for an additional cost ($5 per load).

During your stay
I will let the guests decide and they can let me know if they want to socialize or if they are just looking for some peace and quiet.

The bedroom is a full bed with a closet, dresser, chair, desk, and nightstand with reading lamps. I do not recommend this room for two large adults. The bathroom is directly across the hall from the bedroom and is sometimes shared with another room. Guest will have access to a living room and a shared kitchen. There is also a front covered porch that is nice in the summer. If you have more than 2 guests or you need a larger bed ask about reserving a different room or a second room (if available).

Tree Fort is a "tiny" tiny house that is the snuggled in the Forest View side of MilePost5. It sits in a secluded area of the camp near Lily Pad and Little Dipper and shares the compost toilet and rainwater shower with the other trailers in the camp. The 25 acre property with exclusive access to the Wind River contains 6 vintage trailers or tiny houses. Get away to the heart of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Relax in this cozy studio meant for two. Enjoy hiking, waterfalls or golfing. Finish the day soaking your tired muscles at Carson's natural hot springs resort before heading off to Backwood's Pub for a cold brew & the best pizza ever. This is a small guesthouse studio shaped like an "L." The shorter part of the L is your bedroom. The kitchenette, dining table and bathroom all run the long part of the L.

You have your own private driveway, which pulls right up to your private entrance to the guesthouse. You will be able to access your front door with the code I send you prior to checking in.

Other things to note
I have tried hard to make the guesthouse comfortable for all who enter, but if there's anything you find missing, please don't hesitate to knock on the door of the main house next door or text me if I'm gone and I will do my best to get you what you are missing. Both bedrooms are the perfect place to hide away with a good book or sneak in a mid-day nap following your morning hike. Sleep in—or enjoy reading in bed— both bedrooms feature queen-sized Nectar Premier Copper mattresses. Stash unneeded gear or luggage outside or in Bedroom’s Two’s spacious closet. Out the window are the soothing sounds of Carson Creek and hustle of a classic gorge logging town.

Muddy or sore? Hit the tub and soak, or rinse off under the rain showerhead with the provided shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. Radiant heat prevents cold feet, even during gorge winters. Towels, toilet paper, hair dryer, and hand soap—plus ironing board, and iron provided.

Carson is a small logging town in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, with a rural/suburban charm. Wind River Highway is a popular and often busy stretch of road, and Casa Bruna is within walking distance of local establishments, including Bungalow Bar and Grill.

The house is furnished with a 55 inch smart TV that you can use with your Netflix, or other subscriptions (we don’t provide cable tv).

Both of the 2 cozy bedrooms have nice memory foam mattresses: the first bedroom has a king sized bed (Nectar Premier Copper) and the second bedroom a queen sized bed (Tempur Pedic Cloud).

The space
Step off the highway and into your roadside mini oasis, complete with a small sun porch and the gentle burble of Carson Creek. With two bedrooms (each with its own mini-split), full bathroom, comfortable living space, garden, and fully-equipped kitchen. There couldn’t be a better home base to explore all the Gorge has to offer.

Both bedrooms are the perfect place to hide away with a good book or sneak in a mid-day nap following your morning hike. Nestle in and sleep easy on bedroom one’s queen-sized Tempur-Pedic mattress. There’s even a bonus trundle for the little ones (or a single friend). Bedroom two’s queen-sized Nectar Premier Copper mattress is just as comfy. The hum of Wind River Highway fades into the background and a cool breeze compliments the soothing sounds of Carson Creek.

Muddy or sore? Steam up the tiled, glass-door shower and rinse off with the provided shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. Radiant heat prevents cold feet. Towels, toilet paper, hair dryer, ironing board, and iron provided.

After pretending to cook dinner (Backwoods Brewery is just around the corner) in the fully-equipped kitchen, enter your login and settle in for movie night on the 65” flatscreen TV and speaker system. Streaming your favorite shows or working remotely is easy with ultra-fast internet (around 1000 mps) and cozy couches.

Not into TV? Grab a cold beverage and head to the back deck, with seating that faces the garden.

Leave time for coffee or a smoothie (we provide the blender) before heading out to take advantage of the area’s many activities! The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner, from pots and pans to kid-friendly cutlery and dishes.

Carson is a small logging town in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, with a rural/suburban charm. Wind River Highway is a popular and often busy stretch of road, and Casa Maria is within walking distance of local establishments, including Bungalow Bar and Grill.

Casa Maria is the upper unit of a duplex. It has a private back deck but does share the outdoor amenities and laundry with the lower unit, Casa Bruna. Please inquiry if you are interested in renting both places together.

The kitchen is well stocked with a coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, insta pot, pots, pans, plates, silverware and more. There is a 65” tv in the family room with a Roku for all your streaming needs. The back deck offers a gas bbq, outdoor dining table and chairs and a hot tub!

The Chicken Shack is the nickname for our getaway to relax, disconnect from cell phones and work to hang out with our friends on the deck or by the fire. This is a cabin we built for ourselves with some unique features , a great bar with a place to BBQ. Although we only have room for two in the cabin our property includes a 12’x16’ tent platform and a 30-amp RV hookup. We are dog friendly but no fences. The large deck with covered BBQ area and awesome view make up for the small cabin.

Welcome to our sanctuary! Our beautiful home is on 5 acres located within Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Set on Cedar Creek and surrounded by natural beauty, this home is forested and private yet only 10 minutes from Carson Hot Springs and Backwoods Brewing in downtown Carson. Waterfalls and many hiking trails within a 25 minute drive. Or just stay home and stargaze. This home is very special to us and we would love to share its beauty with you!

The space
This home has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to enjoy your stay (all the basics, slow cooker, blender, coffee maker, French press, coffee grinder, kettle, etc). There are three bedrooms. The bedroom downstairs has a California King bed and the two upstairs have queen beds. Note: one of the bedrooms upstairs is very private but does not have a door separating it from the hallway that leads downstairs. See photos and let us know if you have any questions about this. Smart TV has all apps (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc) so you have full access with your own account in addition to a DVD player with DVDs. The house has a beautiful porch overlooking Cedar Creek and acres of National Forest land. Enjoy the creek and forest views and sounds while BBQing and dining on the porch (seating for 6). There is Wifi at the house although at times it can be slow since it is a secluded property. There is a decommissioned National Forest hiking trail that leads from the property (the trail is unmaintained). This is a kid friendly home with a Pack n Play (with mattress and sheet), and kids toys, books, tableware, and a high chair (upon request).
